The food was fairly tasty overall. However, service was terrible. We were served by 2 waitresses. The main one only stopped by our table once, and that was 10-15 seconds after our food was served. When we needed anything, we had to raise our hands, try to make eye contact, or simply get up from the table. She was always at the bar washing stuff or wiping the bar table. The other waitress would start walking away before we could even finish our sentences. They forgot our new orders. They brought red tabaco sauce when we asked for green. WORST of all, when we arrive, I gave our main waitress my credit card and told her I will be paying, but in the end she forgot about it and let my guest pay while I was in the restroom!! We are respectful customers and this is my first time writing a Google review. We will NOT return.

It was our first night in Portland and we decided to have dinner at Southpark Seafood. What an amazing first dinner! The atmosphere is lovely and comfortable along with super friendly and professional service. The food was top notch and super fresh! Apart from serving excellent food, I loved that the restaurant is passionate about sustainability and the planet. This place is such a gem!

This place was pretty good! Definitely hit them up for happy hour, which is what we did. We ordered some chef’s choice raw oysters (which were our favorite), clam chowder, and shrimp & grits which were decent.

Dee Hartman

Great Happy Hour prices. The food is great (loved the beet salad). The portions are generous, some could be an entire evening meal at super discount happy hour prices. Nice selection of beverages with & without alcohol. Worth a stop if you're in Portland Oregon!

Cory Eddings

Delicious and top notch food. Salmon was perfectly done, tasted fresh, and melted on the tongue. And drinks were well made and delightful. Would recommend to anyone!

Alyssa-Rhaye Graciano

Some damn good grits. Good amount of spice.

Janessa Cimfl

The bread was great! Everything else was pretty bad. I had the spicy shrimp and grits which was so spicy you couldn't taste anything else, and I typically enjoy spicy food! The shrimp still had their tails on, so I was rooting around with my fork and knife trying to pry them off. I was not impressed. The other members of my party had the clam chowder, which was a disappointment. The soup was thin and flavorless, and there were whole clams in it, so once again, we we're trying to clean our own food. That made it hard to eat and gritty. The waitress was also clearing our table before we were all done. I definitely won't be going back.

Food is great, however the kitchen staff clearly cant keep up with the demands of the dining room. The waiter and waitress were wonderful. But the timing was totally off from the kitchen to table. Three courses meal was go stop go for too long between food delivery. Over 30 minutes for one dessert to go after table cleared. I wouldn't want to think how slow serving of food would be if the place was full. This restaurant will not last given my experience with the kitchen service problem no matter how good the food is.

Ava Miller

Good food. Avocados in the salad were underripe and rock hard. Friendly staff.

Derek Mowrey

Absolutely amazing, came in super late after a show at Arlene Schnitzer and had a great late night happy hour, don't miss out on the cocktails

Sally Guan

It would get five stars if the server didn't ask our occasion then jokingly sang a happy birthday song. (I would rather he didn't ask and didnt do anything about it.) The food were fantastic, especially the halibut, perfect texture and taste. The bread was very tasty, probably the best among the breads from all restaurants I have ever had. The beet salad and cheese cake were perfect taste and size as well.

T

I love their BLTA! Not overloaded with Bacon's like most places. The sriracha peanut mayo make it very tasty!!

Flavia Pisco

Amazing food! Best clam chowder I’ve ever had!

Sheri Repenning

This wa an excellent choice for dinner on our last night in Portland. The food and the service were both above par. Highly recommend if you are in Portland. Give it a try

Pepe Raphael

Great happy hour. Smoked fish, brussel sprouts, grits and shrimp, steamed clams. It's a tasty affair.

Shannon Smith

Nice location for quality Seafood. service is consistently good. the place has a great atmosphere. i can see why they have a lot of good reviews.

Aidan Adelmann

This was some of the best sea food I have had in a long time. Only discomfort was finding sand in my claw chowder at the bottom from the clams. Not much you can do about that though. At least you know its fresh!

Sandy Lewis

Casual but trendy atmosphere. Very$$$ but the food and service is good

Southpark Seafood is absolutely the best restaurant in Portland downtown. I don't know the parking option there as we were able to take a shuttle service from hotel. The restaurant has $33 menu for dinner 3-course meal. We ordered the following - Brussels Sprouts Clam Chowder Steelhead Squid Ink Fettuccine Lemon Cheesecake Chocolate On top of the 3-course meal, we also ordered a Salmon & Cheese platter. Their brussels sprouts was amazing - it was truly the best I have ever had in my life. That is one of the most popular dishes. Highly recommended! Try it if you are in the mood for it. Chowder was perfect with richness. Squid ink fettuccine - I can hardly find the restaurant that knows how to cook it well but this is the place! Steelhead was well-cooked with holding of juiciness. Their desserts - Lemon Cheesecake & Chocolate - were amazing! There is no word to describe how good they were. See attached. You will get to know what I am talking about. I will definitely come back again. I just hope they keep the 3-course meal menu longer.

I Googled sea food in Portland and South Park sea food came up. Thank you Jesus, how incredibly surprised we were. We thought Mo's clam chowder was the best that we could find. South Park was superior by far. The service was also first class, our waitress Alli steared us in a perfect direction. Thanks again Google and South Park Seafood.

This place has great oysters. The atmosphere is quite.

William Sanborn

We went here during Portland dining month. Food was great, service was personal. Will come back and pay full price definitely!

M Thuot

Very fresh and tasty salad and seafood dishes with great sauces. Good drinks too.

Rosalyn Barbour

The service was friendly and spot on. The oysters were fresh and delicious and the brussel sprouts were to die for! The best I've ever had!

Sara O'Conner

Doug Hammond

I enjoyed this place. The seafood was super fresh. Good beer selection. Great service.

Anita Shuler

A convenient stop for lunch near the art museum. We had the cioppino. Delicious!

Eric Olmsted

What has happened to this restaurant? We have been here many times over the years and have never had such slow service. Seated just after two o'clock for a late lunch, finally had to ask the hostess to send our server so we could order at 2:30. When the wine came it had something floating in it (see picture). The server watched us digging the junk out of wine and ignored the plate on the table with the wine floater. Fish and chips has two small pieces of fish. The slaw in the fish and chips was dried out. All in all, very disappointing.

Leah Bach

Popped in and had the combo “three plates” for lunch. I chose the green curry sausage plate, manchego plate and the beet salad! Generous, beautiful portions served quickly and with genuine smiles and help from Katlyn! Really enjoyed every bite and moment.... check the place out! It was great.

Tom Doran

Stopped in for a drink. Stayed for dinner and was very pleased. Good service good food.

Athena Valdez

What an experience this was! We loved this place so much we went twice while we were in Portland. It was such an experience to taste all sorts of raw oysters and learn all about them. So many varieties to choose from. The crab ... just look at the pictures and let your mouth water. The butter sauce in the shell of a crab that had a spicy kick was so different than the typical garlic butter.

Dax Hayes

Great local place to eat. Very fresh with above average plating. Service was great. Would recommend.

Travis D

Lovely atmosphere. Great fish and pasta.

Allison Zimmer

Great happy hour with oysters, excellent charcuterie and drink specials. The clam chowder was delicious. Amazing service! A busboy ran down the street to catch us when we forgot some belongings at the table. Highly recommended.

Wairua Ozula

A little pricey but so damn delicious . Waitress was super cool too.

Karli Barich

Late night happy hour after 10p. Oysters were delicious.

Barbara Green

Great food. Really nice staff. The tasting menu is fun and reasonably priced.

Gopalan Nair

Excellent food. Pleasant atmosphere. $$$ not $$ as indicated but worth every penny. Dinner for two with just one glass of house wine came to over $120 before tip.

Keith Cooley

Fresh oysters from the west coast were new to me but absolutely delicious. Great atmosphere and extremely helpful wait staff. Couldn't ask for more.

Tanya Eason

We had the chilled tower and it was really good. Staff was attentive and we had a reservation so no wait time.

William Bateman

I have experienced myriads of different seafood from different parts of the world, and I was shocked at how amazing the food is here. The oysters are absolutely the best I've ever had, and when topped with their freshly grated horseradish, they are transformative. Can't recommend it enough.

lanae goates

The bar tender there was so fun to watch. Incredible food and ambience. Highly recommend

This is a more upscale seafood restaurant with ah-mazing HH. $9 shrimp and grits that's big enough to keep u happy for the night, plus a ton of other goodies. I went for dinner recently and was equally impressed with their entree and cocktail menu. This is a good place for a low-key night out -- I literally walked in with my work scrubs on-- without sacrificing the refinement and attention to detail of an upscale eatery.

Groovy Bandalora

VERY SPENDY! Two meals and one ice tea plus top was $96 bucks!! The good was edible but nothing to write home about. We had reservations for 5:00 pm. My companion was late and the hostess informed me she need the table back by 6:45. NO PRESSURE!! Guess I'm lucky they don't charge by the hour!

John Bemis

Excellent source for fresh, well prepared seafood. The setting is elegant and the service was exceptional. They have great food including oysters, crab and halibut among other excellent choices. The wine list had a nice variety and the wait staff was knowledgeable about it.

Kelly Richards

Top quality seafood presented in very interesting ways. It's classic enough to make people feel comfortable but chef-y enough to not be boring. Lots of options and while it is pricey, you are paying for quality. The service is laid back and attentive. Staff is nice and very knowledgeable about the food and wine. Definitely recommend, especially if you are looking for a great seafood restaurant.

Kirsten Winter

Very friendly service. Even extra accommodating to my 7 year old. Food was excellent. Spicy prawns with grits were perfect! Great happy hour prices.

Leo Pena

Great selection. Good service. Great location.

Bart Gasiewski

Classy place, good food, and a tasty happy hour.

Amber Lynott

Love this place! Offers a very Portland experience with fresh offerings and beautiful presentations. Agree with others that reservations are a good idea on any night. Food is delicious. Staff is friendly, engaging and professional. We love to bring folks from out of town here both to share in the downtown experience that the location offers and to have a fantastic meal.

Henry Shao

Nice atmosphere. Outdoor seating. Great service. Good selection of seafood.

Ron Warnecke

We loved the scallops and risotto, as well as the crab salad and clam chowder. The service was outstanding. Vary friendly.

Mike Fulton

The service is great and the food is good. I do think it should be labeled as 3 $'s though. Be warned, the prices are high. Much higher than I expected for a 2 $ restaurant.

Robyn Schumacher

The Brussel sprouts were over the top delicious as well as the other 3 items off of the happy hour menu. Service was just as good. Going back as soon as we can.

Brian Bangert

Food really good. Prices not bad. Had shrimp and clam chowder plus a couple drinks for about $40

J DeCleene

The Halibut and Salmon were amazing! So juicy and full of flavor. The peas with the Salmon were fantastic. The Chocolate Board dessert was rich – cookies, brownies, ice cream, and brittle.

Tommy T

I'm at a loss for words, which is rare for me. This is absolutely the best gourmet type seafood I've ever had. But it was the service that truly made the evening. I didn't know what I was doing, so relied solely on the advice of our waiter, and he was on par with everything, from the oysters, to the halibut and scallops, finishing with the chocolate plate. Thank you Collin, our 30th anniversary was well spent at your establishment.

Purdey Go

Great service and great food. Lots of options for oysters. All very fresh. The decor and ambiance are very nice. The crowd in the restaurant were very upbeat and energetic. Great time in the restaurant. Really enjoyed my experience here. Will definitely come back to visit.
