I hadn't eaten here in almost 9 years and it is just as good (if not better) than I remember. Great baked Mac and cheese. Lovely setting. Only drawback is parking, but that's an issue in that area of Portland, not the restaurant's fault.

very impressive great great food, great service, fair prices. we actually came for brunch but they had already moved to dinner, but we weren't dissapointed in the slightest. Ribs were meaty, saute was tasty and the chicken was moist. Waitresses were very friendly and attentive but didn't smother us like they were tip starved, and best of all everything came in a reasonable time. They were pretty busy, seems like the whole restaurant showed up within 20 minutes of each other, but they handled it well. Good eats!

Classy, funky old building with lots of history and charm. Service is great, food is very good. My grilled chicken club sandwich was wonderful except the bacon was underdone. Ample hours of operation - a comfy, family-run restaurant with a full bar.

Fast service! Great place for comfort food if your in the need for meatloaf! Parking is non existent and i suggest riding a bike. Portions are pretty big as a heads up!

Easy to spot on corner of Division & 41st. Friendly waitstaff, attentative owner, average inside decor. I ate here for lunch. I ordered the fish n chips halibut: 2 small pieces for $15. A little expensive for what you got. The dinner menu was only $0.50 more for the same portion. Large drink selection. Open space.

Went in with low expectations and was blown away by the quality and service. Great food with good ingredients and healthy portions that don't over do it. Great drinks and a bloody mary cart you can add all sorts of tasty things to your drink.

Fantastic brunch, hefty portions, great food and good service. Dont worry if there is a few people ahead of you, this place knows how to turn em over quick and get you in a table. Coffee and fresh warm scones while you wait is a plus. Give it a whirl, you wont regret it.

The severus was slow and the gravy was not hot on my biscuits. There was part of the bar being used for the servers and lost 5 bar seats because of this. There is space in the back for that. If I came in by myself I wouldn't want to sit at a big table by myself. I want to sit at the bar. I wouldn't recommend going here and I'm not going back.

When we were there they weren't really busy. Neighborhood type restaurant, not fancy, but the service was good, people are friendly and the fried chicken was really good. Portions were big enough that we took home a doggie bag. Will definitely go again.

We've been coming to this off the beaten brunch path jewel for about 5 years and never disappointed! From the friendly servers who frequently check if all is good and if you need a refill to the huge servings of delicious food. Everything we've eaten here is so good, well seasoned and carefully prepared. The scones with honey are super too. Good prices great service and a parking lot just east of the store - wonderful.

Portland has few hidden gems for a good brunch without wait. Sckavone's is one of those well kept secrets. From the semi circular bar to the classic photos, this place is seeping with strong familiar vibes; though they could use a couple plants to liven it up a bit in there. The Munster scramble is amazing. The burrito bowl also very well done. The wait staff though busy weren't too busy to stop for a little warmer, and some coffee... Can't wait to go back for dinner to try their house smoked ribs!

My wife and I often blindly go looking for new places to eat. It's risky, yet sometimes rewarding; this was one of those rewarding times. The food here is absolutely delicious. The portions are very fair, and the service is amazing. I will be back for sure, and will bring friends here to experience this little treasure. This place was amazing! The service was quick and all the eggs were perfectly done somehow (thank you kitchen wizards!). We went with a group of four and everyone loved their food!! I especially loved the Smoked Salmon Benedict. They also let me mix and match the Mimosa flavors. I got orange and pineapple and it was tasty. 10/10 would recommend!

With two visits to Skavones under our belt, I can firmly say they are a good place for an all-American meal. This is a no frills restaurant where you get exactly what's on the menu. Best meal so far has been the French Dip (love the horseradish cream). Burgers are tasty but the bun to party ratio leans to heavy towards bread for my taste. Can't wait to go back for breakfast.

I have been here many times over a period of years and I highly recommend it. Sckavones is a classic neighborhood brunch place with a relaxed atmosphere. It has an old soda counter (and check out the photos on the wall for full views of what it used to look like when that counter was new many decades ago), big wood booths, and tasty food. Instead of bread, you get fresh scones! The Sckavones scones are buttery and delicious, not to be missed.

This place was great! The service was wonderful. A girl named Jackie was our server and gave us 5 star service! The owner (I believe he was the owner) popped in to help out every once in a while too. He is very attentive. He popped in a couple of times to refill our water right when we were about to finish it. Delicious food! Definitely will return!

I normally don't review places, let alone give 5 stars, but Sckavone's is an exception. Old school joint serving up incredibly good, fast American eats. You can't go wrong no matter what you order. The service is always on point and attentive and the food always comes out hot and FAST. Whether you're choosing breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinner the food is always want you want and beyond what you had in mind. Delicious and filling. I'm just glad I don't live within walking distance. Eat here is the moral of this story.

Might have come at a bad time but breakfast was mediocre at best. Scrambled eggs were dry. Sausage was tasteless and had the consistency of beans. The potatoes were good actually. Coffee excellent. Service above par for area restaurants. I will give them another chance.

Stopped in for lunch... Wide open space easy to find from the street the menu is over priced for the amount of food received. $15 for two small pieces of halibut on their fish and chips. 3 bites and the fish was gone.. unacceptable at that price. No real attraction... Service was ok.. Hopefully they do more business in the night shift..

This place is a hidden jewel. The smell alone of their food is delicious. The prices and serving size.... Prices low, size large. The waitress was ever so friendly and the pictures on the walls showing patrons how the neighborhood has changed is priceless. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant!

Food is classic American comfort food with a little Medeteranian thrown in. Always good and hot. Good mixed drinks. Service is good. Many of the staff have been there as long as I have been going there. The owner is usually there. Kitchen does a good job. They actually know what a medium rare steak should look like or how a poached egg should be done. Gone there for years and never had a bad experience. If you're looking for a restaurant with dinner attire forget it. This is an Eclectic neighborhood establishment. It embodies Southeast Portland.
