Beautiful restaurant and bar, view of the city. All day happy hour on Sundays are fun and amazing. Often piano players. A must-go for tourists and visitors! They validate parking - so don't forget your ticket! Excellent customer service from staff.

Elena Fenn

The view is amazing. Went for happy hour. Reasonable prices, friendly staff. Gets busy fast. Must get there as close to 4 p.m. as possible if you want a table with a view.

Kris Krmpotich

Simply the best happy hour in town. The view is incredible. Top notch service by professionals. Great ambiance. Can’t wait to go back.

Jana Battagler

Being so far up is amazing if you sit by a window. Very loud and crowded. Food was decent, which should be expected for what you pay for. Environment was less than exciting if you're not getting the view.

G Lee

I just love this place. When I need time alone, it's wonderful & when I feel like gathering with friends it too is wonderful to be here. Thanks for the lovely dinner and fine service. My filet mignon is always perfect. And so is my shrimp cocktails. Love love love this place & the Gin & tonic!

Salvatore Manalo

Beautiful view of downtown and amazing steaks. Try the calamari, it's a good portion and the sauce on it is crazy good.

C Magee

With 4 star food and an unbelievable view, this restaurant is worth your time. On the 35 th floor, the view is unbelievable. The restaurant area had fewer and more costly ($$$) choices and the BEST view. The bar area had better prices, more food choices, live music, loud and crowded and you might have to work for a view.

Hadlock boudreaux

Fantastic environment, delicious food. Decent music you gonna love this place in your first view. Highly recommend!

David Shaw

great views. Traditional steakhouse vibe and servers; very stoic. We didn't eat, just drinks, but it was a nice tourist experience

Bonnie Jerro

Four stars for the view. Expensive. Food is pretty good. Cocktails are delicious. Service is decent. Piano player is phenomenal. Happy hour is every day but still a bit pricey.

Casey Joyce

Got engaged here. Good food. Even better views! If you want to have dinner at the top Portland from a tower this is a good place to go. The food should be a bit better for the price. I had a steak and it wasnt better than what I make at home, but no worse either.

Chase Nelson

Steak was decent, but the atmosphere was very loud with some people being very obnoxious that you could not enjoy your dinner. Too dark and over priced.

Gerrie Bodleymace

If you're visiting Portland, Portland City Grill is a must stop. Sitting high on top of a skyscraper, this bar/grill boasts the best views in Portland. They have a nice selection of wines and craft beers to suit most pallets. It's a little pricey, but worth it for a special treat.

Andre Strobel

The view is amazing. Service is good. Food is good, but the price is only justified for the greatness of the view.

Jill McNichols

Beautiful views. Great service & very yummy food & cocktails!

Terry Scannell

This restaurant has been around a long time. It has gone through various phases. In general it used to be a great view with ok food. That has changed the food our whole part had was excellent. We had fish a steak dishes. All were perfect or nearly so. The service was very good as well. The view breath taking. Make no mistake the place is expensive. But, for a splurge I recommend it.

milit kumar

Excellent food and ambiance. On top of all the restaurants I have eaten at around the world. View and service are outstanding.

Shelley R Reed

Although my favorite dishes are no longer on menu, the food is superb. The view of the city is unparalleled. Reservations are necessary due to the popularity of this restaurant. Please bring back the bread pudding with whiskey sauce! I didn't get dessert because nothing else looked to my taste.

Donna Davidson

Had a wonderful time with Jack's brother and all 4 of their children and spouses. Food was great. 30 stories up was a beautiful view of the city .

Siri Rock

I would have given this place a 5 star, if the service had been as good as the food. We waited for the longest time to get our waitress attention, and when she finally showed up, she was a little rude. We ordered a Shafer cab ($170) it took forever for her to get back to us. We had to help ourselves with pouring etc. when our main course came, we had no cutlery so I had to get up and pick some up from an empty nearby table. She absolutely ruined our whole dinner experience. I have her name if anyone wants to know. The bar was very nice and the bartenders were great.

Patrick Garner

Food was delicious and the view spectacular. Make reservations, go early, check in and ask for a table by the window. Expensive food but you won't be disappointed in it or the service.

Jr robling

By far one of the best places I’ve ever been. The staff was super helpful and didn’t ask us how we were every 5 minutes which was good for a change and they even got us in a hr early. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was very laid back. I would go here every time I’m back in Portland.

James Elloway

Amazing food and service, and the higher than usual prices with the view are expected with all of the above mentioned!!! Definitely a night out on the town or a happy hour glass of wine and app to go with it. Will be back!

Roy Levow

Wonderful food, great service, and beautiful views. Was there with a party of 6 and everyone had a different entree. All were beautifully presented and well prepared. Portions were quite large. Of particular note were the elk lion and the haddock. The elk was tasty and tender and the coffee rub added a delightfully subtle enhancement. Haddock can be difficult bit they nailed it -- moist, tender, and tasty. Our server was excellent: very knowledgeable about the food and the view and able to arrange requested variations in the dishes.

Doyle Drew

Highly recommended to us by two woman working the food truck where we bought lunch. They truly gave us a great recommendation. We arrived about 4:15 and had a seat at the piano bar which provided a beautiful view of Mt. Hood. The views were beautiful in all directions. If you want a window seat I would suggest you arrive early. Our service was attentive and unrushed. We enjoyed our beverages and all the sights that could be seen. Very enjoyable...Enjoy!

Cassidy Armstrong

Husband and I were on a budget for an old friends birthday and they had a burger that my husband enjoyed very much and I got a side of Mac and cheese! Wish the portion of mine was bigger for $12 but PCG is on the speedier side! Check the menu before going and know that happy hour is ONLY in the lounge.

Michael Dennis

Went in just a little after opening on New Year's Day. Sat at bar and felt a little overlooked. It took a while for the bartender's to ask what we wanted to drink and then again what we wanted to eat. Once we ordered, the delivery of the food took a little longer than expected. The quality of the drinks and food was Top Notch. The view at Portland City Grill is outstanding and the atmosphere is warm. I do recommend Portland City Grill.

Pat McDonnell

The hype is purely aesthetic. This place provides gorgeous and "gramworthy" views of Portland, especially after dark. Other than that it's a crowded bar and restaurant with kind of overpriced entrees and hit or miss service and food. They do have staff members that give a damn, though. The server who took our way overcooked steaks back was a gem and he was tipped accordingly.

Marshawna Sanford

Nice view. Good food. Decent happy hour menu/pricing. Great service!

Steven Bass

Terrible food, bad service, antiquated old restaurant. No pride of ownership. Great view

cindy bruchez

Really good food! Good views! Service is quick

dulcy B

Beautiful. Must see if visiting Portland and want to go out on a romantic dinner. Dress up. Suite and tie or wear the dress you never have an occasion to wear to.

Jennifer Zimmerman

Amazing mojito! $8 on happy hour n it was poured nicely! Sumptous pom frites , topped w/ steel head, topped w/ snow crab. I hate crab -but this was a game changer! The most expensive happy hour item $12.95 (but worth it!)

Kate Burton

Excellent service, great food, and, of course, the view is lovely. We went on a weekday afternoon at 1:00 and had no trouble procuring a table at the window. I’d heard it was pricey but honestly, there are a lot of options. If you want wagu then you are going to pay for it but that’s the same anywhere. I highly recommend a stop here when in Portland.

Glenn Gardon

Very nice view and the meal was excellent. Worst issue is thier acoustics which made.it difficult to carry a conversation.

Brian Breniser

PCG is always great. The happy hour prices are pretty reasonable, but you will end up ordering multiple things to fill up. Everything is tasty enough and the view is amazing.

Amanda Rico

Lovely view and ambience. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Thank you.

Don Malnati

The real thing to see here is the view, which is fantastic. The service was very good as well. They decorated the ceiling with dropped wood beams which makes the whole thing lower, a bit odd for me ( I'm six foot two inches tall). The food was good, not great but good. Very nice place for a celebratory lunch or dinner.

Amy Smith

Fantastic Experience! I was out of town on business and had dinner here. The experience was great, the steak was fantastic and there are no words for the view!

Joseph Friedling

Excellent- I sat at the bar for a beer and dinner salad. Service was excellent- food was great - the view is phenomenal - very cool crowd - piano player added extra ambiance. If you are in Portland you must stop in here for at least a quick drink, you wont regret it.

Sheri Coon

I love this place. Always receive amazing service and fantastic food. Will be sad to see it go.

Michael Bolyard

Its decent but for the price you can get better food. The view is awesome as the same with the service. I hear the happy hour is wonderful but good luck finding a table.

Maddy Rose

Food is absolutely amazing! 100% recommend the halibut! Waitress was very nice and took wonderful care of my group.

Elena Fenn

The view is amazing. Went for happy hour. Reasonable prices, friendly staff. Gets busy fast. Must get there as close to 4 p.m. as possible if you want a table with a view.

Pancho Upshaw

Their menu has a nice mixture of American, Asian, steak, seafood, salads, burgers, finger foods (tapas/pupus). We really enjoyed the ambiance of Happy Hour here. The place is so energetic! There are tons of booths with window seating for spectacular views of Portland. There is a pianist in the middle of restaurant with bar style seating wrapping around the piano where you can enjoy good music and wine and dine all evening.

Phil W

Amazing view, great food, great service, piano bar. 1st class place, not cheap but worth the extra bucks. Beautiful decor, nicest bar stools I’ve ever seen in any bar. Visiting Portland? Put this and the walking tours by the courthouse on your to do list.

artem titov

Great views, had wonderful time with friends! Clean place and helpful staff! Ate here before about 3 years ago! Good stuff! -They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved--you and your household." (Acts16:31)

Beth Ellis

Only went for a drink but it was phenomenal. The best view anyone could ask for. Our waitress was brilliant and told us about all the other things to do in Portland! Definitely recommend the pomegranate mojito

Ryan Brooks

Was excited to come here for a anniversary dinner...so I stopped by to test the place beforehand. Great view but the food is mediocre and overpriced based on quality. They have a “bday/anniversary” section they will try to put you in even if you request a window seat due to your special occasion. Check out the view and enjoy a drink, then go get a decent meal somewhere else that’s reasonable and accommodating. Also, upon reading reviews it appears they only respond to positive reviews (which is not a good business model).

Jesaar Landavaso

Love the food and the view. The staff have always been great but more recently I visited and the booth we sat in, in the bar, near the window in the right hand side by the two person red table in the corner, smelled very strongly of urine. The group I was with psyched ourselves into ignoring the scent but it made eating our food a less than enjoyable. After finishing our meal, we decided it would be a good idea to let our waitress know. Not to complain, but to provide feedback, so that she could share our experience with her leadership team. She told us, other patrons had mentioned the same thing and suggested we let the manager know. We hesitated but agreed. When the manager came to the table, he acted oddly. He avoided eye contact and awkwardly paced back and forth, assuring us the smell was not urine and asked if we needed parking validated. When we told him we did not drive in, he proceeded to reiterate that if we should ever drive to the restaurant, that there was parking in the basement. He then asked if there was anything else he could help with at which we said there wasn't. He abruptly walked away. We left satisfied with the meals but felt strongly that the smell was definitely urine. It smelled really really bad. I have NEVER smelled that in Portland City Grill before. It smelled like the Max train station at Union Station. Like a homeless campsite.

Jessica Atkins

Delicious food, outstanding service, and amazing views! The wagu sirloin was so tender, I highly recommend!

Tom Friend

Great view, fabulous food and very attentive service. You can do very well in just the pupus, great stuff. Plus the dinners are fab too.

David Bell

The views were spectacular, but the food was truly unbelievable! The steaks were seared PERFECTLY! The Kung Pao calamari was incredible. Our waiter was efficient and friendly. Did I mention the views? AMAZING!!

Troy M

Pretty snazzy place but it's probably the most expensive top 5 restaurants I've ever been to

jessica brewer

The view is great. Surprised the bartenders didn't have much knowledge on a lot of cocktails. They also needed more bar tools to execute the drinks. The service is always great and the steak was good. Definitely wasn't medium like I was told, but still good

Franchesta Grove

Excellent service. Large portions. Celebrated my anniversary and I could not be happier. Waitress so helpful, and kind. Spent 2 hours enjoying the view, food and company. 30th floor and the view is amazing. Go on a clear night for full effect.

Seth Thompson

Meal was great. I got the French Drip. Personally, it had very little meat. The Duck Fat Fries are also amazing. Amazing service. They had us seated in under minute, and waters all around in the same amount of time.

Zackary Fife

Loved this place. Did the bar area room where you just find an open table on your own. The views of the city from up there is spectacular. My meal was awesome and so was my drink. Friendly and fast staff.

Mykhaylo Chugay

Great view. Awesome service. Delicious food.

Ryan Mitton

A great place with great food. Also they have one of the best views in the city. Only downside is the price, it's a little spend, but it is worth it in my opinion.

Thomas Garcia

Def coming back. The service was awesome. Food was even better

Martin Barry

Being dimly lit is not ambience. Huckleberry Mojito was very tasty. Ribs were dry and lifeless.

Jonathan Williams

The Food was incredible. The service by our Server Spencer was Amazing as the View!

Fumi Matsubara

It was the perfect location to kick off our Portland trip and what a great ice breaker it was. Thirty stories above street level, it has the BEST view of downtown. We stopped by during their late night happy hour and loaded our table with half-off appetizers. very single dish that we had was excellent, but my personal favorite was the crab cakes, it might be one the best I've had. Hockey puck size cakes!!

Whing C

This place was recommended to me by my hotel as I wanted a photo of Mt Helen. The staff were absolutely lovely and seated me where I could get the best view. They were very laid back about me wandering around amongst the other diners. I went there for lunch and it has definitely been the best food I've eaten in Portland. The portion was huge and it was great value. The views are fantastic too. Shame the weather was little hazy- I'm sure they would have changed that too if they could, they were so accommodating.

Lori G

Best table in the place. Food was spectacular. Service amazing!

C Yager

Great lunch menu and fantastic view. Friendly service

jason watson

Best views in Portland with pricey but worth every penny food.

Jeanne Mccaslin

Such an incredible view of the city and the food was fantastic, great service too. Thanks!

Chris Saunders

Great view! Drink prices were reasonable.

Phil W

Amazing view, great food, great service, piano bar. 1st class place, not cheap but worth the extra bucks. Beautiful decor, nicest bar stools I’ve ever seen in any bar. Visiting Portland? Put this and the walking tours by the courthouse on your to do list.

Julie Kay McManus

Breathtaking views, lovely environment, fabulous service and, last but not least, amazing food.

Elijah Helton

I am scared of heights but after tasting the food and a few drinks... I'm still afraid of heights but willing to face it again just so I could have even one more bite of the delicious wagyu steak and white cheddar Mac and cheese. If you are ever in the position to go here, do so and you won't regret it.

Molly Garland

This restraunt has amazing food, beautiful location and stunning scenery. Our waitress was top notch and her recommendations were all excellent. They also have validated garage parking which is a huge plus for that area.

Justin Sims

Really nice ambiance and views. The food was really tasty and well presented. My waitress Ellie was great. I'd absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a remarkable dining experience.

Joanna Stout

Pleasant staff, good food, excellent service, and wonderful view. We and our visiting relatives were more than pleased.

Ted Wang

Great food, great service, great view

Eli Lynch

Have been here a few times. Went for Mother's Day brunch. Excellent food and service. I especially enjoyed the Belgian waffle. We went to dinner here, too. The food is great. Everything you'd expect. They also validate parking. My only drawback to Mother's day was having to listen to screaming basketball fans from the bar. Classy place...screaming drunk people. I can get that at a pub.

Ms Mc

Such a great place to watch the sun set, and wonderful staff, too. The sushi was very fresh, and the signature Manhattan is not one to be missed at this establishment. I went here at the suggestion of a friend and am very pleased!

Taylor Mcafee

This restaurant not only has an amazing view of the city, but the food is amazing!!! The staff is extremely kind as well! You can always tell an establishments skills in customer service when asking basic questions like “where are your restrooms?” I was told a very detailed route to take to the restrooms all while the employee had a smile on her face. As I was walking I soon forgot the directions another employee could tell I was lost and in need of the ladies room, quickly jumped in and told me again where they are without me asking with a very big smile on her face! Thank you!

Christopher K

Great food and atmosphere, have come for happy hour and dinner. Defiantly not my every day go-to eating out location but well worth it. Friendly staff as well. Celebrated my parents 50th wedding anniversary and had a great time.

Diane Peters

My husband and I chose Portland City Grill for a recent date night and we are so glad that we did! First of all, you won't find better service anywhere. The hostess and bar tender were professional and friendly. Our waitress was attentive without being intrusive, made excellent recommendations for food and wine pairing, and was pleasurable to chat with. Secondly, the food is amazing. Best crab cakes anywhere. My husband enjoyed the salmon and I've never had a better rack of lamb. The creme brulee and sorbet trio were delicious also. Lastly, the ambiance was perfect for our date night. We waited for a window table and got to watch the Starlight parade, so that was exciting. Apart from that though, the dim lighting with candles had a classy and romantic feel. We can't wait to go back to try some of their other dishes and fabulous cocktails.

Kevin Woods

This place is on the 30th floor. Great rooftop bar. They had a live piano player on a Saturday afternoon. The views from here are amazing. They have plenty of TVs to watch the game. The bar area/right room is all open seating. The back area is reserved seating.

Kazmo Groove

This place is high up on the 30th floor. You can see the whole Portland here. It is pricey but I guess you pay extra for the view. If you are new in town, I recommend visiting this place even just for a drink. They have a piano player playing contemporary hits.

Alison Morkert

Best happy hour in Portland!! So much to offer on the food menu, too! Nice fine dining if you prefer, but we love a good happy hour. And well, you know.... the view isn't too shabby

Bryan Dehler

Amazing food and great drinks. And, of course, one of the best views of downtown Portland! Now if only I could afford to eat here every night... Pro tip: go for happy hour. Same great drinks, food and view but almost half the price!

Angela Johnson

Come for Happy Hour. Perfect for impressing a Date. Food is always incredible. They change up their menu often, so there's always new items to try. Window seating is hard to come by, but definitely worth the wait. I don't know any other restaurants in Portland with such a view!

Dustin Pates

I came here for a work trip with two of my colleagues and we grabbed a booth in the bar area. The service was prompt, friendly, and the view was absolutely outstanding. I spent a lot of time in Portland for work but I've never been here before. We were quickly greeted and offered recommendations for their happy hour ordered the ribs and waffle fries as an appetizer, both were good/as expected... We all ordered dirty martinis and they were on point. For a main course my colleagues both ordered the halibut and I ordered the goat cheese Prosciutto stuffed chicken. They said there's was okay, good but not outstanding. Mine was very good, good perfectly with tasty side of onion, sautéed green and mashed potatoes. I would definitely return.

Erik Bjorge

Unique. That is the reason you go here. It is a unique dining/ happy hour/ bar experience being this high up looking out over the city. I've brought out of town guests here many times and they love it. I've enjoyed the food here also but it is definitely priced on the higher side for what it is, yet it is in line with what would be expected for the location. Comparing food in Portland is tough given all the amazing alternatives we have, if you're just rating the food itself. I certainly give a lot of weight to the location here and would say that the food does not disappoint.

Tristan A. D.

Great views, great service and reasonable prices for a fine dining experience. If the venison is in season, I would highly suggest it. Wonderful wine list and expertly crafted cocktails top off a truly stunning evening. If you are looking for a place to bring customers or to take your partner out for a night on the town, look no further.

Ken Meeks

Not quite what I was expecting. The bar was extremely crowded. Once we sat down for dinner, the staff was very attentive and helpful. The food was good, but I don't feel it really merited the prices. The views were amazing. When you take that into account, the overall experience is worth the price.

Angela Johnson

Come for Happy Hour. Perfect for impressing a Date. Food is always incredible. They change up their menu often, so there's always new items to try. Window seating is hard to come by, but definitely worth the wait. I don't know any other restaurants in Portland with such a view!

Gloria Thomas

The place was packed when we rocked up -- even so we managed to get a great table by a window overlooking the bridge, after only a 10 min wait. We were lucky it was a Tuesday! From the service to the food, craft beers (signature Portland) and desserts -- I cannot recommend it enough. A word to the wise: Don't be us, make a reservation :) We celebrated our aunt’s visit at PCG. Every time we have gone here, it is a pleasure to go there. We love this place and it is a treat. We ordered appetizers followed by dinner entrees.

Donna Black

The view can't be beat, particularly if you're there on a night that a storm rolls through. Oh yeah, the food is good too! This visit I was here for a professional dinner, so there were many delicious things to sample. I could have left satisfied with the appetizers alone but glad I saved room for the creme brulee.

ryan sharp

Fantastic views, quick service, delicious food. Great experience for a nice night out, must have reservations!

Lance Orton

Great atmosphere and live piano. Food good but not mind blowing. Service was outstanding!

Josh Rassi

Exceptional service, great view, even better food and drinks

Catherine Taylor

My husband and I had an incredible anniversary dinner here. We just moved to Portland a couple of months ago and this is definitely now our go to spot to celebrate. The service was top notch and food was amazing! Try their sushi, any of their steaks and their seared scallops! They even decorated our table with anniversary confetti, a little card and a complimentary dessert! I wish we remember our servers name, as she was amazing, but I bet all the servers there are so great! Also THE VIEW is STUNNING!

Tom Silva

Always great food and great service! Maritza was excellent, as she was attentive to our needs!

Bradd Schick

First off, our server was great and the food was just as good. So why the one star? Well management is the absolute definition of terrible. Our table was full with 7 people and it was evening just before sunset. Unfortunately, our table was positioned so that the setting sun was right in the eyes of two guests and of course the people behind them. Whilst, the other blinds were being brought down for all of the other guests our blind was in the kitchen. After asking the management to please close the blind 10 minutes passed and still the sun was glaring. I chose to stand with my back to the sun. 15 minutes later the sun finally set. The management clearly stated to me that they could've closed the blind but chose not to because I solved the problem by standing. What!?!?! Yep, that's exactly what they started and to add insult they said see the sun has set... So although the server and food were great. My $2,375 after tip will never be repeated at this establishment. For context this happened July 30th around 7pm local time.

Bruce Klein

Always a nice and fun place to eat and look out at the city... 30 floors up. Service was excellent for our party of 11. Prices are good for the location. They have a broad menu to choose from. Always like going there.

Scott Meriwether

One of the few good places to eat with a view in Portland. Interesting enough. Should be a focus of this sort of dining as views of area one of few things Portland has to offer. Food was good. Did not give 5 stars as we were sat in a designated "anniversary/bday area"?. Away from Windows. Which we requested to be on. Would return, but won't mention special occasion until seated at table of YOUR choice!

Kathryn Nelson

Very good food and service. Pricey

Becky Jo Baker

Awesome skyline view and good happy hour food! Our waiter was really nice!!! It was good atmosphere

Maurice Ritchie

Great staff and service. Fabulous views

Lonnie Rewa

Interesting place to take out of towners for a great, panoramic view of Portland, as far as you can see. Overpriced drinks and food, but not unexpected given the location and view.

Ruben Garcia

This was my first time here, got a seat by the window the view is amazing. The food was so good and the staff was perfect

Kathleen Raughtigan

Great happy hour, awesome view, love the piano music. Service was well timed even though the place was packed!

Erin Macdonald

Fabulous happy hour, great service and wonderful views. I visit every time I come to Portland.

h h

Amazing view but this place used to be a lot cleaner they need to remodel. Good food good price.

j sleeper

I went here with my husband for our anniversary. We had a cocktail each, an appetizer, entrees and a glass of wine, shared a dessert and an espresso. Final total was about $250 including tip, which is about what I had expected. It was a rainy, cloudy Portland day and the view was still great. Night time is even better. The service was excellent. I took the suggested wine choice with my entree and was very happy I did. All of the food was wonderful. We went on a Monday evening with a reservation and parked in the tower parking lot. The restaurant validates parking (2 hours) so we didn't have to pay for that. I was glad we went on a weekday - nothing was too crowded. I wore a dress (Old Navy special!

khadishable

Amazing food and wonderful environment to eat. The waiters are a pleasure and always perform past my expectations. Make sure to bring at least 100 dollars if you are treating a date, the food is very expensive but definitely worth it for a very special occasion.

Over priced. But great view and ok food. Superb drinks

Marilou Turcotte

Was a wonderful experience and the $5 glass of wine was excellent. Great view of Portland!

Norma Lilia

This place was good, the rack of lamb and lemon drop martinis delicious. The reason I deducted two stars was because they wouldn’t seat me on a table with a view for the simple fact that I was by myself. Apparently there’s a two person limit on those tables/booths and one person is simply not good enough? I mean I’m here visiting on business trip, part of the sightseeing experience of the city is to enjoy things such as eating at a nice restaurant with a view. How hard is that? It was uncomfortable to take a picture of the view from my bar seat with other people seating down and trying not to photobomb. I don’t want to make it rant but what makes you think one person wouldn’t spend as much if not more than two at a table? I’m assuming that is the reason for the two person limit.

They are owned by Restaurants Unlimited, which makes a nasty point on the bill to remind customers that RU doesn't like paying a living wage (little 'surcharge' to cover a higher min wage). It's obnoxious. I don't mind paying more to cover worker pay, but the message they add to the bill is insulting and tacky.

The food for happy hour is crazy small portions but still a really nice deal for a place to get dressed up and eat with a view. Our waiter was nice but forgetful I think because they had him working the whole bar on his own :( . I'd for sure do it again but I'd eat a little on my own in advance so I don't get hungry.

Loved this place. Did the bar area room where you just find an open table on your own. The views of the city from up there is spectacular. My meal was awesome and so was my drink. Friendly and fast staff.

Tracy Davenport

Hit it for happy hour. Great views, friendly staff and discounted drinks. What’s not to like?

Friday Happy Hour and piano music was great. The food selection was a good variety. Service was good considering the large number of patrons. The facility was clean and well appointed. The to high uncomfortable bar stool is the only reason that this review is not a 5/5.

Araceli Nadal

Beautiful place. Nice happy hour with music. Incredible view from the 30th floor

If you're reading reviews for this place, it's pretty obvious that most people love the view. I am no exception! It's pretty breathtaking. We can for Happy Hour, and lucked into a window seat. The food was a mixed back--The pork ribblets were pretty underwhelming, but the cauliflower was outstanding. Any points lost are reinforced by that amazing view. It's worth coming here just for that.

For visitors like me, the magnificent top of the city view is the best appetizers for whatever foods you gonna have. They offer fusions of food, oriental, western, Italian etc. That should satisfy most folks preference. Overall the taste are good but not to the standard of fine dining in my opinion. But again, the whole experience here is awesome.

We brought family from out of state here for dinner last night, and were extremely pleased with the entire experience. We each got 4 different dishes and they were all superb. I had the honey-brined pork tenderloin, and each bite was mouth-watering heaven. The pineapple marmalade and house mustard made an already exquisite meat come alive in my mouth. Our server, Ellie was a delight--the right mix of knowledgeable and warm friendliness which made the entire experience fantastic. She gave good recommendations for both food and wine which were spot on. Kudos!

This is a must visit restaurant/bar in the city of Portland. The view of the city and mountains is SPECTACULAR, it makes you feel so relaxed and involved with the beauty of this city. In addition... they have Happy Hour in a daily basis. Just check each day depending on your schedule. Sunday from noon to close. Local drafts for $5.75; white wine $7.90. We had the New York Steak Sandwich with blue cheese crumbs $11.90 -it was cooked to perfection. It was juicy and the bread was fluffy but crispy. We spent at least 3 hours admiring Portland, tasting great beers and enjoying top notch dishes! Do not miss this place! Cheers!

Was here for private dinner/work event. View was amazing! It was a clear day; could see for miles. The wine was delicious and the food was great...lovely filet and creamy, delicious brulee. But, the thing that made the evening truly enjoyable was the staff. Friendly, attentive, helpful, humorous...just all around wonderful!

We went to PCG for our anniversary dinner. We told them when we made our reservation, and they had confetti on our table that said "happy anniversary" and "congrats", which was a really lovely touch. Our waiter was Anthony, and he provided great service and was also funny and kind. The food was pretty good - they have a great selection of steaks, as well as other meat and fish options. They also have some gluten free and vegetarian options as well. We got steak and pork, both of which were very good. They also have an excellent selection of drinks. The view is amazing as well - so cool to see out over Portland. If you don't have a reservation, then there is an initial rush at 4pm to get a table in the bar area. If you do have a reservation, don't worry - you will get your seat! We had a lovely time and would definitely recommend this restaurant as a great dining experience in Portland.

While in my hotel room, I read an article about Portland City Grill and decided to stop by and check it out. It has spectacular views of Portland. Bread is delicious and unlimited. I started off with the Northwest Cioppino, which is made with Salmon, Prawns, Scallops, Calamari, and Lobster Saffron Broth. Plus, it included my choice of a small Salad, $17.00. For my main course, I ordered a 16 oz. Bone-In New York Rib Eye, $59.00. For my sides, I chose the chef’s Seasonal Vegetables and Buttermilk Mashed Potatoes. The service was a tad slow. There's an underground parking garage which the restaurant validates. The prices were high for what you get. It was an enjoyable experience but I don't feel the need to go back.

Perfect steak, perfect timing on food. Great place to take in the city.

Christoph Weder

The first day we had a nice fancy cocktail and a little snack in the bar. The second day we did enjoy an astonishing sunset during dinner. The food and the wine from Oregon were delicious. The waiter did a very good job and knew a lot about the wines and vineyards from the region.

Malcolm Boswell

Excellent service, environment and food. Definitely not a regular outing for most of us, but price per quality is a great value. Excellent view of the city. Great for business, family or romantic outing. The Happy hour is great, but definetly not for sport viewing... which is a good thing.

Cameron Battagler

If coming from out of town I would try somewhere else. I was impressed by the view but that was about it. The restaurant itself was so loud I could barely hear across the table, the food was mediocre, and the price was over the top. The cheese plate was pretty good and the wait staff was nice though.

Mohamad hajaj

Bartenders were so busy cleaning and organizing the bar area instead of paying attention to customers waiting to order. However, drinks were great and food was amazing as always

Karina Aragon

I came here with my significant other to have an anniversary dinner, and it was a spectacular experience! The service was amazing, the food was delicious, and overall the view was beautiful. Because it was me and my husband's anniversary, they set out a card and little confetti congratulating us. They even brought a little complimentary pastry/cake with a candle. It was spectacular. Would highly highly recommend.

- The non-veggie style dishes seems well made. - My girlfriend is eats meat. I am a Vegetarian. Veggie dishes were (NOT) that great (providing you know the difference between good or bad tasting veggie food). - Something as simple as spring rolls (all veggies) they fell short of quality & taste. The rice paper was not properly soften. The veggies were so dry. They also did not roll the dish we’ll beaches it started coming apart as you were eating it. (We are Vietnamese, this is simple native dish). It is NOT worth $14. - The under-kept and dirty restroom area definitely expressed to me that the place is going down hill. - Honestly, I only gave the place 3 stars because of the view. It’s beautiful at night. - As a first time visit to Portland couple, we thought this place was a bit high class fancy dining. After dining there, we would have to say that it was a bit of a disappointment because of the slightly gloomy and lacking atmosphere (except the view). Also the upkeep to the place seems a bit under average. I’m not sure if the food prices matches the quality of the restaurant. - I would try looking up another restaurant, if you could, for a fancy & romantic night out.

Absolutely amazing experience. The food is delicious, the view is endless, and the service is great. Make reservations in advance! If you get lucky, you'll get a window seat!

Great food and service definitely recommend to everyone and I plan on coming back

My uncle got married there with about close to 100 guests, the food was absolutely amazing! Bacon wrapped asparagus, breaded grilled chicken, mashed potatoes and grilled veggies were among the chosen. Out. Of. This. World!!

Cat Huss

Great views. Phenomenal food. Friendly service. Gluten free options. A bit more upscale. Lavendar cosmo is my new favorite drink!!!

anika foster

Amazing food and amazing view! Loved the piano player and his festive musical note tie.

Ashley Ann Wilson

Nice place to go with great views and a mellow atmosphere

Derek Everoski

If you havent taken your spouse or significant other you better. The views are amazing food is great. Great collection of cocktails and the brunch is to die for. GO NOW!

To say that this is a good restaurant is a joke. It is dirty, has bad service, and has gross food. I got the lobster mac and cheese and roasted asparagus. The asparagus was limp and tasteless. The mac and cheese tasted like salted noodles with mushy lobster. I have no idea why anyone would eat it. The servers kept trying to fill my cup with water, but just ended up splashing me as they filled it with ice. The ceiling had tons of dust on it, the floor was sticky, and confetti from previous table celebrations was all over the floor. The restaurant was also very cold. I was thoroughly disappointed with this place and would not recommend it to anyone. The only reason it is not a one-star is because the view is nice and I have only been here once. If I have the displeasure of going again and trying something else on the menu, I will adjust my review accordingly.

Paris Otremba

I've always heard good and bad things about PCG. To my delight, the view was more breathe taking than I expected, and the food was good. Make reservation for 2 at lunch a few days ahead of time, almost ensures a window seat.

Monica Medina

Wow! I loved this place. Great atmosphere and amazing views are what this place is about. I shared a love bottle of Cabaret Sauvignon from WA with co-workers. And the food... Yes. I tried the wagyu sirloin... Heaven.

Paula Stein

For such an expensive restaurant, they should do a better job cooking steaks. Ours arrived under and over cooked. However they have amazing views! Go for drinks and the views if nothing else!

Dameon t. Canary

Great place. Awesome views. Always fresh and cooked with expertise.

puja sarkar

Fantastic experience. Great view and the food is amazing. We took our 6 month old with us, who slept pretty well on the sling seat.

John Blackwell

Between the view and the happy hour menu, this place is worth going to alone. The pianist in the lounge was quite entertaining, though rather loud. The female waitress was exceptional, and attentive. appetizers and happy hour food was delicious, and not overly pricey. Not a very good draft selection. Will go again for the views.

Casey Province

Went here tonight for our 6 year anniversary. What a disaster. The large table next to us showed up wasted and ruined the meal for everyone around. Several tables complained, but nothing was done to stop it. They yelled, fought, cried, stormed away, came back and fought some more. We could not even have a conversation. The restaurant should have stepped in. Total waste of our money, anniversary night, and babysitter. They compt my coffee and salad...what a joke.

Jonathan Pape

I loved the steak and it was a great view. The most surprising part was that they had the best vegatables I have ever eaten. Super fresh green beans cooked perfectly in like a garlic butter. Not a foodie so take my review with a grain of salt.

Violetta Novikova

This place is romantic. The view from 30th floor is amazing. Food is delicious. Love this place.

R Bekins

View is spectacular! The food falls into that pleasant and mysterious area between good and great. Staff is great. A very good place to take your granddaughter for lunch.

Joy Love

Happy Hour with a view! Great views of the city with a decent happy hour selection that includes both food and drinks. Street parking or parking in the garage is available. I did not ask about validated parking but it may seem like they do. Could save you so money if they did as parking was a good $12.

Alexander Shapiro

Had a business lunch here. Overall disappointing food quality, everything is sweetened to compensate for lack of flavor. Fried calamari tasted like chicken stripes in sweet sauce. The veggie rolls were good themselves but came with sweet sauce. The Columbia valley salmon was well cooked and tasty, but has a slight sweet taste to it. The fish came with risotto which was not good at all and some sort of sweet green chunky paste.

Kevin Suell

Good service and food. Excellent view of the city of Portland. I'm fearful of this establishment going out of business, due to recent public notification of filing for chapter 11. The quality of the food has declined slowly over the past few years, other wise, I would give them a 4 star rating

DeMarco Johnson

Great place to go if you want a 55 dollar steak, dessert, and a drink. Not to be concerned though, everything from this restaurant is absolutely amazing. The steak is great, the dessert is divine, and the drink menu is about 4-5 pages long and amazing. The service is great, the atmosphere is amazing, and the overall experience was to die for, plus the view of Portland really helps.

Logan Fairbanks

PCG is a great experience. The views are unmatched in Portland and the food is top notch. We had incredible service by a gentleman name Anthony. If you are ever in Portland, its a must go. Its not the cheapest place around but every penny is worth it. Definitely coming back in the future.

R. Lee Donaldson

To sum it up right away, it is all about the view. This place has an absolute stunning panoramic view of Portland from it's large windows that are all around the restaurant. You can see almost all major sites from this high perch in the sky. I would say defiantly go to enjoy the view, but not so much for the food. The décor has lots of dark wood colors that blend well with all the natural lighting coming from outside. It is a very large establishment that can handle groups if needed. However, even though it is large, if you want the perfect table, it would be best to make reservations in advance to secure the perfect place for your viewing experience. However, if you are doing lunch, maybe planning on after the lunch rush will get you in to a good spot with ease. They have a nice menu with good options, but nothing that really jumps out or is overly unique. I tried the lamb burger, but the lamb was drowned with overbearing sauce that killed the natural rich flavor of the lamb and it was overdone with the cooking. My partner had the trout and it was nice and light, but nothing special in preparation. In all, the food was decent, but nothing to rave about. The reception as well as service was professional and friendly. We received immediate attention and it was maintained throughout the lunch. The service experience in all was good, but what service should be and nothing extra of above and beyond. Overall, you should go for the experience if visiting Portland for the first time, but as I stated in my first sentence, it is all about the view.

George Luedke

Food was good. View was great. Carpet was ratty by our table and there was a bit of water damage smell.

Brittney Hanset

PCG has become our go to for special occasions. If you're looking for formal dining in Portland, this is for sure the spot. Its 30 stories up Big Pink with obvious unbeatable views. Be ready to spend. An average entree is $65 per person but will not disappoint. If you're wanting to take in the view but dont want to spend too much, they have a magnificent bar and lounge with a pianist and happy hour!

Laurence J

I’ve never been to a restaurant more than 30 stories above the surface and not enjoyed the experience. It was late in the evening and it was a week day. Things were slowing down all over the city but PCG was still going.

Rachel J

Great food. Nice atmosphere. Great view

I love Portland City Grill. The main draw for me are the amazing views of Portland & Mt. Hood. The restaurant has top notch service & delicious food. The bar is fun & makes an awesome Spanish Coffee consistently. I go here for celebrations & to just hang out. The view is great for watching fireworks too!

Myles Lee

It was a great experience and our server Cody was even better. He did not rush , was very nice. And he didn't over do it if you know what I mean. We had even left my credit card at home, and they were so cool about it and let me pay over the phone when I got home. Do expect a 60 dollar plus plate. but worth every penny !!
