It has been a while since I have been to Porters. Unfortunately, it has gone down hill. Over priced entrees, mediocre at best. Unfortunately, the service has declined to. I got completely missed tonight, my order was not taken and again I was missed when other members of my party were asked for refreshments. I swear It was like I was a ghost!

I was on a hike with my partner, at the time it was a freshly budding romance, turning into what has become a rare and amazing depth of love and connection... Anyway, she got a call from her parents that they were driving through and wanted to have dinner ( they knew not of me, and thought she was still with someone who had been cheating on her). So, she had no time to bring me back to Ashland, and they encouraged her to bring her " friend" with. We arrived, she was nervous, I was calm... As the couple months leading up to this, proved to be a string of positive serendipitous and validating moments... We joined her parents at their table, and to her surprise, her father took to me with more kindness and interest than she'd ever seen, her mother was as well warm and we had common interests, and the food was good. The environment was perfect for supporting the extended conversation we found ourselves engaged in, and the night concluded as yet another validating memory inspired by serendipity.

If I were to judge this place off my last plate, it would be a one star. I'll take half of the blame for ordering fish tacos while the rest of my party had steak and prime rib and loved it. To that end though, take the tacos off the menu. There is no flavor, the cabbage in the undressed coleslaw is the main star of the taco, and the aioli was bland to the point of being less flavorful than homemade mayonnaise. Not joking either, take that off the menu until either whoever is cooking it is trained or you rework the recipe. Prices seem to be fair though. It's slightly higher than a chain but you won't need a second mortgage to pay the bill. Steaks and prime rib are good, will order smarter next time.

I have to say the service was 5 plus my fish was under cooked on the otherside dripping with batter the vegies were burnt as well as th sweet potato frys so sent it back having just a order of sweet potato fry done right the second time my husbnd had fish taco thatbwas drippng sauce from the cole slaw i was so disapoint this time and so upset the no longer had fish and chip. But i will teybit one more time hoping they get a great cook like they use to have over 8 months agao.

Went last October for my fathers birthday. It’s set in a dark ambiance, which makes it more intimate. The food was delicious. We had a few appetizers... can’t remember what, but it was good. I had a ribeye for dinner, my father had lamb, and my fiancée had grits & shrimp. Can’t remember what my mother ate...? We were all very satisfied with the food. Will definitely go back for special occasions

My husband saw your advertisement while watching TV in Klamath Falls. We drove to Medford especially to dine with you. The building and atmosphere were wonderful. I wish I could say the same for the service and food. We asked our waitress Jahna , what the Chef's special was, only to find out there was not one. I found this strange for a Friday night. I had the Halibut Parmesan, which was very good, however the vegetables served with it were not cooked, and were very hard. My husband had Herb Roasted Prime Rib. One end of it was very thin. Lots of fat. He likes fat, but this was very fat. He also was not happy with his vegetables. Jahna only returned to our table one time, and we had to ask for our check. This post is not from Savana Galagher, but is from Mrs. Monte Burnett. Unfortunately we will not be returning,and cannot recommend your place of business.

Took five people to dinner there last night. Three had prime rib, one had chicken and I had the NY strip. This was close to the worst piece of meat I have ever had at a “steakhouse”. Small piece of meat with large amount of gristle and fat. Service was so-so but, as far as I could tell my business associates meals were fine. First and last time I will eat here.

Great food that is a very expensive. Lovely historical building in fact, it was the first train stations in Medford. Open table or private seating. The bar is in a separate area and is a bit more lively than the table area. There is also an out side seating area in the warmer months.

Wonderful product, extremely delicious menu items, and unbeatable atmosphere. if you're looking to propose or congratulate someone on a special occasion you cannot go wrong if you make reservations here. A little on the elevated price, but what you get in return is well worth the extra change. Highly recommended!

The Last two outings have been disappointing. The lamb shank I ordered was very small, cold and drowned in purple gelatinous gravy The time before this I ordered prime rib Medium rare. It appeared to be pan fried and was cooked well. The vegetables were limp and over cooked as well Not to happy. Probably will not return for a third time.

We attended happy hour and had the Spinach and artichoke dip with crustini's and baby red potatoes. It was delicious! The atmosphere is very comfortable. A great place for a romantic date. Their fish tacos and their Mahi are both amazing. I highly recommend it.

I wish I could give Porters 10 stars, because it truly deserves all of them. First, the restaurant is in a historic train station (the interior is exquisite), and the service is exemplary. Last, but certainly not least, the service is outstanding!! I attended a seminar and one waitress was assigned to out 24 of us; she never got frazzled, never got anything wrong, and was an absolute joy in her demeanor to everyone. Overall, a superb experience and I will return.

Service was very slow tonight. Took a long time to get our drink order taken,took a long time to get our drinks. My caesar salad had no romaine lettuce, even though romaine lettuce has been declared safe to eat for over s week. Our appetizer was forgotten, our main course was delivered before we could finish our salad. Very poor performance for Porters. Our waiter comped us a shared dessert to make up for these issues, if it wasn't for that gesture my rating would have been lower.

Best fine dining steakhouse in the greater Medford area. Offer a wide variety of house-made specialty items constantly changing specials and featuring quality local sourced products. Fantastic atmosphere and definitely top Choice if you are looking to impress someone or make a significant memory. Wait staff is friendly attentive and Swift. The Culinary staff are a group of well-trained and passionate individuals. The owners have successfully been in the business for over 20 years. The building was established in 1912 and was actually used as the railway Depot station at the turn of the century.

Really delicious! Great wine selection. Awesome interior. Halibut was delicious, my only feedback would be that the dish was lacking the vegetables it came..I had a decent sized piece of fish with literally two cherry tomatoes, 3 potatoes the size of quarters and 7 green beans. Besides that, every tasted delicious so I can’t really knock any stars for the size of the plate. 10/10 would recommend trying this place!

My dad and I went at the end of our trip to Oregon. The people who arrived after us were sat before us. Our waitress contested rum was in a mojito. After being told they had rare prime rib, we were told 25 minutes later there was no prime rib. Jeff, who I presume was a manager, barely listened to my fathers complaints, and dissmissed them without a second thought. No discount was provided. I do not recommend this busch league steakhouse to anyone in Oregon.

Porter's is an upscale restaurant which, in the past, was excellent. Tonight, however, I was very disappointed. The prices have increased significantly and my meal was sub-par. My steak was over-done and the marinade was burnt. I should have sent it back but I didn't.
