The salsa for chips and salsa is literally just pico. The tacos are okay, nothing phenomenal happening there. The chips were stale. The salsas on the side are no bueno.

Delicious food! Best Mexican sit-down restaurant in the NW (try the burrito cart at the Alberta food carts for on the go). Large space inside when you go all the way to the back. It is often quite there. Good place to take groups and convenient location on 23rd, although parking is difficult.

My go-to Mexican restaurant in NW. the employees are super nice and happy to help you. I am always amazed at how tasty the food is and how large the portion sizes are. Prices are relatively inexpensive and orders come out pretty quickly. I cannot stress enough how fantastic this place is. If you’re dining on 23rd and looking for a place to grab some Mexican food this is the place to go! Matador is too Chain-style food, the Santa Fe place a few blocks away is lacking in flavor, but that place it just has it all.

My partner and I were on a day trip to Portland and was walking about the Knob Hill area. Stopped in for a quick bite. Everything smelled great and the prices seemed reasonable. I had the "Traditional Burrito. The very nice young lady taking our order asked if I wanted sour cream or cheese. I said "yes" to both. She told me I could "only have one or the other". That seemed a little strange to me especially if I was willing to pay extra for it. I went with sour cream. The food came and it was great...good portions...great flavor and while I may not have gotten cheese, my burrito was awesome. My better half had the Baja Taco and loved it. Good service. Good price. Great flavorful food. If you're in the area...give them a try.

Love love love this place! I work in the area and this is my go-to lunch place, hands down. Prices are great, food is delicious, the menu has a lot of variety, and customer service is top-notch. Been eating here on the weekly for over a year and I never have had a bad experience, not once! Way to go, folks at Pepino's!

Had the Works Burrito & it was absolutely wonderful. Excellent flavour, plenty of it & the salsa verde & medium heat salsa dips (adjacent to the drinks station) were the best I've tasted in ages. Try to plan ahead for lunch as staff from the hospital (located opposite) means you may have a 10 minute wait.

The shrimp tacos were beyond my expectations. More expensive than other quick taco joints around town, however they have lots of vegan and gluten-free options and serve larger portions with quality ingredients, so it's worth the little extra money.

My wife described the Fish Tacos as "Damn Good." This is the highest praise I have ever heard from her regarding tacos. She is from Hawaii and knows fresh fish. Add to that she is a capable cook who considers street tacos something to whip up at home and not that hard to do right. These must have been a cut above all other.

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the ingredients and the portion size. Plus the staff was really nice. They have a hot sauce bar so you can choose how spicy you want your food. I will be eating here again.

Huge portions for very cheap! Good quality. I got a bean and cheese burrito for 3$ thinking it was going to be pretty small, but it was so big I had to take half of it home. It had rice in it and beans and a really good cheese. The tortilla was really soft and fluffy, and they even gave me hot tortilla chips and salsa with it! Highly recommend.

I went there and was very impressed. The service was good as they greeted me kindly right away and got my order taken very quickly, After a very short wait, I got my food and I must say it is an amazing value. It was only $3.95 and it was a huge bean and Cheese burrito and it also came with Chips. It was cooked perfectly the cheese was perfectly melted and the beans where cooked great and tasted great and the soft burrito wrap was cooked perfectly and just the right texture. It was a great experience all around and I still can't believe they offer such a delicious large burrito for so cheap. Love this place and will go again. Thanks for being there.

Two words: al pastor. Best I've ever had! Great pineapple flavor that is usually missing from al pastor, and plenty of it in their burritos for a great price. Dining area is mostly pretty cramped, but if you're willing to get up and check for your food a few times the back area has comfy booths that are often free. Salsa bar is pretty limited, but the sautéed veg is great, and the medium salsa has a great roasted flavor that I really like. Docking one star for the grilling operation I saw (check the pic I uploaded) raw chicken touching cooked is never okay. Thankfully I didn't order the chicken. Neither should you, I suppose.

Just the right size for a substantial but not absurdly huge lunch, and just the right flavor combination. One of the yummiest Mexican meals I’ve had in ages! Some of the best prices I've seen for this quality of Mexican food in a long time, maybe ever. The food was delicious, and the service was beyond friendly. The place was not full, but not slow (it was around 5:30 pm), and a burrito to go took around 10-15 minutes. So not necessarily fast-food, but very much worth the wait!

Great place for Mexican food, lots of space for having a large party with ample seating outdoors as well as inside. Prices seem fair, 3 beers on tap and overall casual atmosphere. Could possibly be a new weekly hangout spot for me and my friends. I wonder if they offer free chips and salsa with the purchase of a beverage? That would be awesome. Looking forward to going back very soon. Oh and there's a decent burger joint next door too.

Overall terrible service and food. I asked if their tortilla soup was spicy, and clarified that I'm a total wuss when it comes to spiciness, and they said it wasn't so I ordered it. I also ordered a margarita, which I got first, but couldn't drink because it was the most disgusting alcoholic drink I've ever tasted. I asked to switch it out with a soda and the cashier was really awkward about it, although she did let me. Then I got my soup. Guess what? Spicy!! Plus, my friend said all three of the employees laughed at him for asking if an order at the car was his. Who does that?

This place has decent food and prices, but I was disappointed with the customer service last time. I ordered an enchilada with red sauce and recieved one with green sauce. I was told at that point that I got green sauce because they were out of red sauce. They did not inform me when I ordered red sauce and did not apologize when it was green. I also asked for no onions and got onions. I just feel like they didn't care about my experience at all. Salsa bar salsas are not very good.
