You know that we don't usually stop to put evaluations when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Restaurant is classified in the category of Buffet restaurant.
It was fantastic! There was so much sushi to choose from and so many crab legs. Well worth it. One of the better buffets I've been too. They were on point with refilling our drinks also
Clean and with lot of sushi’s varieties. Staff very kind and fast service. I’d recommend
Food and selection are awesome! Service was very good too!
Went for Christmas day dinner. Food was great and loved the sushi send tasty crab legs. Well worth the money. Had to give 4 stars because of the customer service.
Great food good price. I dont know about the previous reviewers but normally Asian based buffets in the NW are disgusting. This place is really good!
I'm giving it 3 star's only because both times I've gone I have left because the wait time has been like 15-20 minutes. So with that said it must be good food
Kicked us out 10 minutes after we got there, saying lunch is over. Never going back, rude front counter people and brainless server. Food was trash too, I dont know how you could call this an Asian buffet. Everything was soggy and over seasoned and the sushi was old and smelly. Absolute let down.
Honestly wish the staff was a little more friendly and wasnt just money hungry. The food was good. Wish the good selection was bigger.
This place used to be good and have a great buffet but it's food selection has gone as bad as a white trash trailer park. Not once did the waiter come over to clean the table of dirty plates nor did they ask for a refill on my drink. Very poor service. The meat they had tasted like it was from the day before and the deserts were good awful. Won't be eating here again ever.
My friend Art and I stopped in here for the first time. We both enjoyed the experience the food was of the highest quality. I'd refer this buffet to anyone of my friends. As a matter of fact I already told one friend about this place.
I saw two people verbally attacked today in the restaurant, and management did absolutely nothing to stop it or ask the offenders to leave. Absolutely will not be back, as they do not care at all about their customers
Good, but I ate too much. At a buffet. Imagine that. lol
Great for the price, good variety of food as well as quality. Customer service was decent considering how busy it was.
Edit...revising from 5 to 2 stars. Ownership change & quality is way down now. We've been 3 times since the change and had diarrhea every time (can't say 100% it was the food here, but enough of a pattern to not go here if you have to work the next day). On our 2nd and 3rd visits we were paying attention and watched the new food coming out being poured over top of the old (not even a pan change with older food put on top...which is normal buffet practice to avoid waste & try not to make people sick). I'm truly sad to say that this is now in line with cheap 82nd Chinese buffets. Head to Kumi in Clackamas or buffet palace on the other side of town if you want a good Asian buffet now. My old review... We love this place. Sushi is great for a buffet & Chinese food is good too. Always seems fresh. Clean & family friendly environment. About 11$ lunch & 20$ dinner (dinner features more seafood options & good BBQ beef ribs).
Clean bathrooms tells me that all area are clean. Great food every time. I like that you can kind of see the cooks. Great service.
Great service, great food!
Great Sushi and reasonable prices... I'd go hungry because everything is delish
The sushi is excellent in this restaurant. If you're not into raw seafood you can also get delicious cooked seafood and cooked regular food and even sort of achang's Mongolian grill situation. This place has excellent desserts to. Enjoy!!
Try it the first time for lunch. At $10.95 likely you'll get your money's worth. Go for more of the fresh items. Sushi is pretty good as is the tempura and soup options. They also have a Mongolian grill option that is included in the price. I stay away from the processed food like egg rolls and some of the chinese dishes. Clearly its all about what you like and there's plenty to choose from! Dinner is around $17 and has more fresh seafood options.
Very good variety of food..sushi is good
This place is fun to be at bring the right company
OMG! Every kind of sushi under the sun, plus soups, crab legs, ribs, lots of Chinese favorites. WAY to many to try everything.
This was our first time visiting. The food seemed fresh. Restaurant was very clean. I had never wanted to go before thinking it would only be seafood, but I was pleasantly surprised. My husband enjoyed crab legs, while I had pork ribs, and katsu chicken. Many chicken, beef and seafood options. Including 15 different sushi types. I liked that they had vegetarian sushi, as well. Drinks aren't included in the price, but at 1.99 they're not too bad. We went with a 50% off one person coupon. We would definitely go again.
Some of the food was pretty cold. Not a great selection unless you really just want sushi. Most of the food was not labeled so it was like playing Russian rullete. And at the price, you would expect better quality food. Some of it wasn't terrible. But the cold food, soggy fried food, and lack of consistency with quality just wasn't a good experience.
I dont eat sushi so i will be rating the other foods. The food was all lukewarm and had next to no flavor.vthe only decent things were the garlic bread which was slightly cold and the french fries. Service was good and friendly and took care of things quickly and in a friendly manner. They brought out more fresh food later which was really good. So I suggest trying to go around the end of the lunch hour for fresh food.
Buffet is nice there are many items which you can try and all are delicious and unique. Vegans and non-vegetarian both kind of food are available. Salad bar was also nice. Everything was nice and they served very well.
Friendly people and very very good food! I think you pay after but I'm also not sure. But very very good food. I recommend big time if you love sushi and seafood in general!
All you can eat buffet with mostly Chinese and some Japanese food were very good even for most Asians' taste. Lots of sea food and different selection of sushi and sashimi. Very busy on Saturday night and food were refill very quickly. Service was alittle lacking but free for Birthday person company by two adults. Highly recommended to try after a long day of shopping in Woodburn Outlet Mail.
I went there for dinner in a hurry I ate a lot of good food. The food was good it's a little pricey I paid $18 for just a single person. Most of the food is Asian style Chinese Japanese they have specialty food like clams or oysters Lobster they do have food Americans can eat also!
The best Chinese buffet in the area. Food has always been fresh, and they never are out of any items. I was even impressed by how fresh the sushi was, which is impressive for a buffet. My only complaint is the lack of dessert items, but this isn't bad enough to lower the rating. There's lots of space for large groups and even separate rooms for private events or parties.
Overall it's not bad. I wouldn't say it was the best buffet I've ever been to (Todai, sad you are gone). Staff are friendly, overall the restaurant is clean. They had a good selection of items but from my time there the taste had everything to do with proximity to when it came out of the kitchen. For example, the Red Snapper was very fishy at first, then when it came out fresh it was much better and not so tough. The sushi though, it was just meh. Overall, for the value, it's a good place. Just don't expect to be wowed.
I would say this place is average for a buffet, definitely some things were bad but the snow crab and oysters were pretty good.
A grown man walked in womens bathroom my 15 year old daughter was scarred to death and this place tried to kick us out , when we eat here usally $300 now will never come back
One of the better buffets in the area. Good assortment of dishes to choose from. Sushi is okay but not great. Crab legs are well stocked. A little expensive at 17.99 a person on Friday nights but nice to dine there on special occasions.
Average Asian buffet. Sushi is attractive, but did not care for the ginger or Chinese offers.
Thought this place was gonna be awesome. Food was cold. Sushi old. Food tasted like it was frozen and warmed up. I think it could be better if they made smaller batches and kept refilling as needed. Not putting all the food out at once and letting it sit there. Some was ok but probably won't be going back again.
Great tasting food, nice variety of sushi all at a great price.
Been here twice and both times were just as good. Food is consistent and not left out to dry. Service was friendly and they were on top of removing our empty plates and refilling our drinks.
Worst of the buffets I've visited before. The price for dinner on a weekday is $ 19.98, incredibly expensive. All the food was heated up several times, it felt as if you were chewing on plastic. The rice was like pebbles. Only 3-4 tables were occupied, but the service was completely absent.
Good food and very fresh for a buffet. On the weekend they have lobster but it's messy to eat. They cook it in a sauce that taste good but makes eating the lobster too much work. They should just steam it.
It is ok but not the best. Has little flavor. Best if you don't like spicy foods.
Excellent muy bueno very good
This is a sushi buffet, so the value to the dollar is high. I like it, YMMV. Specifically, I like going because it's a place where I can have my tuna and salmon sashimi, and my mom can go with the American "Chinese" food options. Out of five times that I've been there, three have been really good, one has been good, and one seemed like an off night - though the servers were excellent and accommodating that night. My wife only likes sushi without raw elements, so oftentimes I have to go with her to make sure she's only getting what she would like, as the signs are usually misplaced. So take that for what it's worth. If you want an occasional night of stuffing yourself on sushi for a birthday or whatever, and you want to bring along people who do NOT want sushi, this is the place to do it. *It's hard to find actual Chinese fare in the United States. Hence the air quotes.
We went for their Sunday Seafood Buffett and it was absolutely amazing!! They had lobster, king crab, oyster, clams, crabs and prawns. The sushi selection itself was overwhelming and eating the sashimi itself was worth the cost. Service is as great even though there was a large crowd there. Will definitely return when we have a chance.
large buffet featuring seafoods and sushi. There is also a hibachi station if you want to select your own meat and vegetables to be cooked. There is a small selection of soups and a large selection of chicken dishes, fish dishes, bungees crab legs, and snow crab legs. In addition there are also oysters and clams. Overall wide selection of seafoods recommended if you like seafoods.
Like the food. Sake good too
Fantastic assortment of both Chinese and Japanese foods I know you can eat too! Prices are reasonable the place has the reservable living room for parties food is good quality for buffet better than most. Typically they have three types of soups. There's a good selection of sushi that is already made fresh and all you can eat as well. They have a stir fry mongolian-style grill where you can pick your own ingredients and they will make it right there hot and fresh.
Pretty decent buffet with a good variety. I tried a little of everything and was happy with it all. Great lunch spot.
We went there around 8:00 pm on Friday. Usually their service is not and food is good. This time their food was not good either. Most of the dishes were empty and they didn't fill them up as they supposed to. There were few dried crab legs were left when I was getting my plate. I thought that they will fill it up soon. I just went there after 30 minutes to see that was still not filled. Sushi bar was also almost empty and not much variety left. If you are open till 10:00 pm and charge customers $19 a plate, why don't you have a decent buffet table? For 3 of us, it cost $56 which is not worth even $36. I am not a happy customer. I have been to this place more than ten times, but I wouldn't anymore.
Price was decent. The food was delicious with great variety for everyone's different taste. The staff at the front desk was very helpful and super pleasant. The place very roomy and nicely set up. Better than I had expected. I will be coming back.
Really good chooces for every picky eater in the family. Everything from sushi to ice cream cones. Good variety. Gets pretty busy at times and due to the setup can be a little issue getting around but overall no major issues.
Great selection, quality food!
For a buffet they have good food. They have sushi that was on par if not better then some higher end sushi places. The price is great for the qualt of food
I really enjoyed the food for lunch. Although I am not a huge sushi fan, my kids are, and I'm looking forward to bringing them back here. There's plenty for sushi and non sushi lovers alike...The hibachi was delicious!
Great food but a little over priced
Love the food here.
Good fast food...you can be in and out with hot food
Omg can't beat this place for seafood
Great varities, sushi and seafood. Nice, quiet and clean place to relax
Great food and service as always. Never had a less than that experience.

There is a lot of variety here that isn't normally found at other buffets. It is still a buffet, but worth a visit keeping in mind that the food won't be the best in the world. The sushi is quite decent though.
Incredible food and service. 10/10 I'm going again.
Not crazy for sushi or the varity. But food is good. Best chow main.
Best asian buffet in the state since todaii is gone!!!
Very tasty, some places go up and down in quality over time but this place has been consistent. Good spread out even during off peak hours.
LOVED this place! I will visit again everytime I am in the area. I would move across the state just to eat here everyday. The best part? It is decently cheap!!!
Let me start by saying that this place have a good variety of food. I been in there several times and I'm still not able to try them all. My suggestion is that go when the place is busy, this will guarantee that food is fresh. I have to give it three stars since the only issue I have with this place is the restrooms. Not very clean in that area. Also it can be pricey especially on the weekends. Overall is a good place for when you want a little of everything.
food was good sushi ribs oysters and shrimp they had it all on point at a reasonable price
Fresh everything; sushi, hot foods, fruits, salads and desserts. Was delighted to try the assortment of raw meats and veggies that are sauteed and brought tableside. All for one price!
Nice variety of sushi rolls, vegetable tempura, good quality hot food items. Chocolate layer cake for dessert; ice cream cups (no soft serve). Almost identical selection and quality to Makoto buffet in Vancouver, WA. Probably same ownership? $10.75 for lunch was a great deal!
Yummy food. You can get anything Asian in there. Noodles, Sushi, bread anything. And it's close to Portland,Oregon. Mizumi Buffet is a buffet that is worth spending your money for.
Best all you can eat restaurant!! They have sushi, sashimi(only dinner and weekend), seaweed salad, Kim chi, edamame, sushi rolls, tempura, Mongolian BBQ, dumplings, soups... desert and fruits...a small salad bar! Love to go there. A Kid friendly place! Also good place to have a birthday party or a meeting. Call them before you go to the restaurant when you have more than 10 people!
Nice place. A lot if choices and lot of sushi. I've went there a few times for celebrations. Always s good time.
Big, clean, and very friendly staff. Also family and kid friendly (5 star+). Did I also mention buffet has several variety.... love it, love
The sushi selection got really bare quick and should keep it stocked more
This is one of my family favorite place to go eat out. Highly recommended! Delicious food!
Its decent if you want to grub on a ton of sushi
Oh my gosh the pricing has gone through the roof. Way, way too expensive now.
Everyone should try this place at least once. Great food.
Most of the food was Luke warm to cold!
My first time here. The food was good and everyone was nice and professional.
The food was decent for a seafood. The price is reasonable and the service was decent. Overall a good value for the money. I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for the fact the bathroom was really dirty. Make sure you use the restroom at home before coming here.
Food was not at or kept at proper food temperature. Staff was kind and attentive. Selections sparing for the price. Will not be back. 20 minutes in to eating was asked if I was finished because dinner was starting. This is my first time here.
So many choices that even the pickiest of eaters would enjoy this buffet. Seafood lovers, rejoice. You will delight in the many offerings. There is something for everyone.
First time here and will not be back. Went for dinner, and all the food was disgusting!! The food definitely wasn’t kept to the temperatures they should’ve been at, as the shrimp, salmon, and chicken were all cold, and most of the fried shrimp was really mushy and not crunchy. Pricing is too expensive for the terrible food. My family started puking about an hour or two after getting home from eating.
Awesome buffet!. Crab, lobster, all sorts of chinese foods. Only thing lacking is the desserts.
Lots of different types of foods Asian and seafoods. Buffet -all you can eat. Good quality.
Terrible. We got there at 8pm. The close at 930. They were already cleaning up and the food looked dried and cold. Nothing was being replineshed. Just disgusting.
Sushi was not fresh, I don't recommend it.
The wife and I visited Mizumi Buffet as a “we have no idea what we want for dinner and are tired from running errands” date. Buffets are hit or miss, typically, and this was no exception. The food was okay, the service was close to non-existent, the location was slightly crowded, the tables were alright (not sticky or terribly uncomfortable). Fair warning for vegetarian/vegan customers: most of the food isn’t labeled and the labels that are there are sketchy at best. From where we were sitting, it didn’t seem like there were many tables for big groups. There also seems to be quite a push for big tips even though we spoke to the server for a maximum of 20 seconds, and she wasn’t all too friendly. The price is also a bit steep for the quality and variety of food. All in all, a mediocre buffet.
Mostly Chinese style food. Even the sushi is very Chinese (lots of rice). Hibachi grill selection seemed like a good idea until I saw that the raw meat had been sitting out for a while. Beef was definitely two different colors (at least). Food is overall greasy, over salted, and average quality. If you are looking for bang for your buck, do weekday lunch ($10.75pp).
Just got food poison in after eating here when I called they did not seem concerned.
Great place, ecellent food love the sushi selection!! Always clean
Still the best Japanese fusion restaurant in the Portland metro area
Very good today. California roll was just made and was very tasty.
Best Buffet I have been too in Oregon. So many choices..too many choices. I didn't know what to eat. Everything I tried tasted pretty good. Sushi was good as well. It is a little pricey, so make sure you go hungry. Lots of seating space for events. Kid friendly and clean. The hibachi was great as well.
Restaurant quickly changed the lunch price from over $10 to almost $18 on Valentine's day with an announced on the entry door!
The hosts can be happy to serve. Well prepared food that tastes good for a buffet style eatery. Sitting to get started is very quick. Slightly more expensive as buffet's go but it is worth it if you enjoy this cuisine. They also have a full sushi bar, yum!
No baked mussels. 4 stars.
Have to go back for seafood night.
Typical Asian buffet. Everything deep fried and refilling empty food items is like pulling teeth. Some tasted great some tasted horrible.
Nice variety of Chinese, Mongolian and sushi. All was good.
I love seafood & kids enjoy traditional chicken skewers and sushi. Mizumi allows us to enjoy what we want as much as we want for less than what it costs elsewhere. Not much of a dessert section but we usually don't have room for that after dinner.
Fairly big selection. Food is good.
A lot good food.. if u like buffet u will enjjoy it
It's no longer good. We used to go here often. But now seems like just getting by with the food. I mean $18 is not cheap, yet their calamari is dried, sushi not cold, the raw fish plate looks questionable, orange chicken is no where near Panda Express, walnut shrimp has this opaque pasty sauce, ughhh.
Nasty overpriced food. Bland and unappealing. .
Good selection of food. At the beginning the food was bit cold but after a while they were serving hot food. Price was reasonable and my son’s food was free because it was his birthday. I will recommend this place. Service was good to.
Love sushi? Come here for the best bargain in Oregon. Amazing fresh buffet selection. Have friends reluctant to try sushi? Bring them here!!! Several types of sushi rolls with cooked ingredients for the novice to try and learn the delicious new tastes of Japan. But best of all, not just a suchi buffet, all sorts of other delights. Salmon, shrimp, french fries, chicken several ways, pizza, desserts. Too many things to list. A must try at very reasonable price
Large variety of dishes, lunch buffet is a pretty good deal
Wonderful service. Great food. Amazing sushi. We had a large birthday party and it was very special
I used to really like this buffet place when it first opened. Everything was clean, beautifully presented, and tasted good. However, on our last visit it seemed like this place just wasnt the same. The quality went down considerably both in service and food.
I'm pretty sure this is what heaven is like. There is a wide variety of food available, it's fresh, clean, and delicious. There's hibachi, sushi, grilled foods, and just so many good things.
They have variety of food fresh good customer service
The food there is the best and I'm always looking forward to going there again. I always enjoy my meals every time I go there. I also like the service there and it feels nice a comfy
Lots of choices. Food is fresh. Crab, shrimp, fruit, eggdrop soup.. very enjoyable.
Impressive variety of pan asian foods. Very clean and nice looking inside.
My fave! Love this place. Sushi is so yummy!
This buffet is very good because there is a wide variety of selections to try. There are many options for meat lovers, fish lovers, vegetarians, vegans, and just people who like to eat in general! They have a good salad bar, and some nice dessert selections. I was impressed by the selection of sushi, although a couple of the pieces I had were room temperature as opposed to being a little cooler, and I prefer sushi to be a little more on the cool side, temperature wise. They had nice grilled salmon, and teriyaki chicken on skewers. They had a number of shellfish options, and they looked good but I didn't feel like having to deal with cracking shells open during dinner! I had hot tea, and they came around and gave me more hot water to add to it, and I think they would have given me another tea bag if I had asked, at no charge. That is why I answered the question as to whether they had an all you can drink option, as "yes." The bus boys came around and took finished plates away in a timely manner, also. When my daughter, her friend, and I were there, on Christmas Day in the evening, it was quite crowded, but we didn't have to wait. It was nice that they were open, and it was a good decision on their part since many people chose to go there for dinner. If I could give it an exact reading, I would give it 4.5 stars.
Great so she seafood and sushi, sashimi, Mongolian. All you can eat buffet and it is actually good.
It’s clean great service and good food
Great place to eat, especially if you like buffet. Lots of great choices. But they do get super busy! Definitely rates the stop and try list.
So good. Also free on you birthday with a paying adult
This restaurant provides a much higher-quality food than one might expect at a buffet, and it is a great value for the money. In my experience, it is rare to be able to do such a wide variety of food preparation consistently well, but this buffet manages to do so. I highly recommend it, and I will definitely be back as a customer again whenever I am in the area.
I really enjoy Mizumi. The only things I eat are the sushi rolls and their seafood or crab salad, but three things I can count on are good food at a reasonable price, not going away hungry, and never having an upset stomach afterwards. What more can you ask for?!
Great selections, good food, attentive wait staff....if you are Asian. Seated across from the wait service station, Asian guests on all three sides of my clean and presentable non-Asian family, and we could not get drink service our entire meal. I had to walk my drink cup up to the service station like Oliver and ask "please sir. Can I have some more?" The patrons on all sides of our table had plates cleared and drinks refilled as soon as needed. Our polite attempts to request a moment of service were rudely ignored. Will we go back? Yes, my wife was quite pleased with the food....we will simply snag our own pitcher of water as we are being seated.
Loved the buffet. Good prices and great selection.
Amazing selection of food, especially of you love seafood. Great lighting and a wonderful atmosphere. Absolutely worth the price you pay!
Delicious birthday meal and discount!
Good food, clean, nice service
The buffet is okay. The atmosphere is nice, and the wait staff are courteous. They have plenty of room for large party reservations. They have a decent selection of crab legs, oysters, crawdads, and other shellfish and seafood. They also have quite a few types of chicken and other asian-style style dishes to choose from. One complaint though, some of the dishes are served cold that really would have been better hot, and the crab is not very fresh. Plenty of fresh fruit as well, although not of the highest quality. Unfortunately, the desert selection is quite poor and tasteless, other than the chocolate cake.
Lots of sushi to choose from. Offer crab legs.
The food was delicious. Very clean restaurant and service was excellent. We enjoyed it all. Thank you. Compliments to your chefs
Love this buffet, 30+ kinds sushi, frog legs, crab, etc
Pretty good for a buffet, sushi was a bit dry from sitting out awhile before being eaten. Crab legs were quick to go as people took more than enough but that's a patron issue not the place. They did a good job trying to keep the crab out so they get an extra star from me. Overall food quality is a medium, I didn't get sick after eating here, even ate some sushi, so that's a big plus. Great place to take your father-in-law that eats massive amounts of food.
Pricey, but it's so delicious. The only Asian buffet I've been to with steamed buns. It's pretty clean too.
I took a peek at the open cooking area of the kitchen and, unfortunately, it was extremely filthy. The men’s restroom is so disgusting with large mold growing inside the sides of the urinals. Cooks in the sushi kitchen are making sushi while using their cell phones. Food such as fries, breaded chicken strips, breaded shrimp, etc, was cold at room temperature and I never saw any employee checking the food temperature with a thermometer. If owners/management pay attention to the points above they would get more customers.
Wow! Great buffet & the people are very attentive. It has everything you can imagine...like sushie.
Our to go buffet. They have an amazing variety of food that satisfied our picky eater kids
Fantastic food, well worth the price. I usually avoid buffets because the food is low-quality, but this was an amazing experience and I absolutely loved it.
They have a lot of variety to choose from - a wide range if sushis, veg and non veg both, varieties of chicken, sea food etc. It isn’t possible to taste even half of the items in a day. The quality of food is fine. You’d rather go a little early and have it all fresh than having it in medium or cold temperature.
Food wasn't very special or fresh. Gave the entire party food poisoning. Not worth the high cost
Great selectoon of sushi, California rolls & a variety of cooked items. We were there before their dinner prices & dinner menu started (lunch & afternoon items). Great food for quite a reasonable price. Dinner time includes more exotic items put out to select from; however I totally enjoyed more than I ever should have eaten at lunch-time pricing.
Maybe weekends are busier or better, but definitely don't go on a Monday, everything that should be hot was cold or dry or empty, sushi sat untouched for the entire time I was there. (Nina Beck, Sushi should never be room temperature, sushi should be served at 41F or below according the US.gov food safety guidelines) Would have left right away, but we had put in a dish for the "mongolian" so I felt obligated to stay. Defiantly not worth $17 + per person, I'll be surprised if the few things I ate stay down. Are crab legs supposed to be served on ice?!? The bathroom is disgusting, dirty, no soap, no hot water (how do the employees wash their hands), just don't touch anything in there!
Awesome seafood buffet, one of the best in around Portland area. A large collection of sushis and seafood. We tried in the weekends and the place was not too crowded as well. This is one of the best Japanese Buffet Restaurant we have tried so far.
A pretty decent selection of sushi. I came late on a Sunday and was very busy but I was sited almost immediately, good service overall.
Price was more then I wanted to spend, but was well worth paying. The food was amazing. Restaurant was nice and clean with friendly service. Fully recomend!
