Out Cycling came across this restaurant. Peruvian food. Excellent chimmie changa. Moisr beef with a very flavorful red sauce. Chips were rice oil. Cooked and with good red and green salsa. Bartender gave sample margarita. Very good. May have to back for dinner

I'm not sure what I was hoping for, but it definitely missed the mark. Upon entering, the restaurant looked old and dinghy, although the staff were very friendly. The menu itself had good selection, but when the food arrived, the food was either bland or different to what we ordered. Drinks on the other hand were great and good value. I just wouldn't recommend going here if you want to eat.

I haven't had "Bad" service there, Jennifer is Great! she is very personable and Knows the menu and also important knows how to make a delicious Margarita! I live in Redmond and eat there 1-2 times a week, enjoy life, and the grass isn't any greener in Bend.

Reserved a table Wednesday for Friday night 630pm. Called to confirm reservation time and told that they don't take reservations. They called me at 6pm Friday to say "Are you coming, we are not busy now" Decided to go but service was questionable. Asked for specific take but told they have wait list.Then that table was given to family that came in AFTER us...walk ins. Served Taco and Enchilada when I ordered Tostada and Enchilada (of course it was Right on the bill for $1 more). Food and ambiance is amazing just horrible service.

As homeowners in Sunriver my husband and I have eaten there the past few years. We ate there with friends who were visiting for the first time this year and were very disappointed. All four different main courses had no flavor, even the guacamole was tasteless, and way too expensive. Don't mind paying $25 to $30 for a good main course. Not going back.

The atomosphere is nice, but the service is very slow and the food is at best mediocre. The complimentary chips have no flavor. Items from the same section will have different sides and you have no idea what your getting till you get it. They forgot several toppings and ingredients in my family's meals. It's fine, but nothing special. Wouldn't particularly recommend.

Good food and a really fantastic view. This restaurant is right on the water at the Sunriver Marina. It's a lovely place to ride your bike to and enjoy a nice lunch or early dinner. The halibut fish tacos were quite yummy. The Peruvian influence was a little different than what I was expecting but delightful all the same. The pineapple margarita was enough to make me come back every time I stay at Sunriver.

Over priced and had no seasoning. My chicken taco tasted like just boiled shredded chicken. It was $12 plus (and that's the cheap meal) and only had lettuce and some tomato on it. Most of their food averaged $15 or more. I.e., it cost $8 to add shrimp to a dish. Yikes! Update: They charged us an additional $45 on our bill, totaling over $100..we are taking it up with the manager. What a unethical restaurant! Don't eat here! Update: The manager did get back to us and tried to resolve the matter quickly. For that I am upgrading it to 2-stars.

Every good restaurant should have a sold chicken soup on their menu. Hola's Sooa de Pollo was excellent. Deep, rich broth combined with shredded chicken, a good set of avocado and other veggies. Hola is also justifiably famous for their margaritas.

Both excellent. We met a friend who had a Peruvian chicken dish that he said was fabulous and was huge - he took half home. The waitstaff were very friendly and attentive. Did I mention this place is really really good? I am looking forward to my next trip through Redmond to stop in again. Highly recommended!

We dinned here with a large group and most everybody enjoyed the experience. They have a mix of Mexican and Peruvian dishes, many of which we ordered. The only dish that wasn't thoroughly enjoyed was the chicken burrito, based solely on the chickens slightly bland flavoring. The burrito ordered with beef was much better, as was everything else. The restaurant offers a nice view of the Deschutes River and the staff is quite helpful and friendly. Overall, a safe recommendation if you're in the area and looking for some Mexican or Peruvian fare. Oh, and do yourself a favor by ordering a side of their excellent guacamole!

Our favorite place to eat in this area! Lomo Saltado is the best. Beef is tender, good cuts not fatty or gristly. Habenero Margarita is very spicey with the right balance of alcohol... just perfect. Guacamole made at our table chunky and to taste with spices and chimichurri with a nice earthy taste to balance all the spice...perfect meal. I could have licked the plates. We will come back every time. It is not cheap but perfectly priced for a nice meal out.

Disappointed. They refer to themselves as"Nouveau Mexican Peruvian" I ordered off the Peruvian section = Aji de Gallina for $17.00. Chicken in a cream sauce with aji chiles. Service is good, good vibes but the food sucks has no flavor, pork tastes dry and if I wanted hard shell tacos I would have gone to Taco Bell and the rice did not look or taste fresh at all I was disappointed.

I've been coming to this place since they opened and this use to be my favorite of all the locations. The last time we were here there was a hair in my girlfriends chimichanga but that wasnt such a huge issue. But today we came in and both had tacos that tasted horrible, nothing like they ever have before. The "green sauce" had so much line juice that it was too sour to est and I love sour food. The salsa tasted like dirty dish water and the service was seriously lack luster, and there was a piece of steak stuck between the booth seat and the wall that had been there so long it was rock hard. Hopefully this review gets to the owner and they correct these issues because I would love for this place to get back to the top of my list!

Wonderful food, warm and attentive service. I stick to the Peruvian dishes when I am there, though their Mexican platos look tasty as well. Peruvian dishes seem to have a more earthy tone to them, with more tomatoes and potatoes in the dishes, and a heavier use of aji amarillo than you would find in Mexican cuisine. A not too spicy, somewhat citric-tasting chili, the aji lends a unique spice to it's dishes. I can get deep into the culinary weeds discussing this place. I've heard all the restaurants in their little C. Oregon chain are as exemplary as this one. One small complaint I've heard from some, are the noise levels can be a bit overwhelming. This seems to be an issue with a lot of restaurants these days. Baffles and hanging tapestries are not just for decoration!

Fabulously cozy Mexican-Peruvian restaurant in the middle of nowhere. That is 10-15 minutes walk from the Oregon Observatory a little distance from Sunriver Resort. It's pretty hard to screw up a chicken enchilada, but Hola has figured it out and managed to overcharge for it along the way. It's not just one dish though others in our group had fish tacos and items off both Mexican and Peruvian side and it was all remarkably bland. This is Mexican food so bad it warrants comparisons to a frozen Stoffers dish, as in you would be more satisfied cooking that at home. If your looking for a view, have a beer at your house and bike to the marina. Then make some enchiladas at home or go literally anywhere else.

Really great food and tequila's. I've never had Peruvian cuisine before, but it is very close to Mexican. I notice there is a review questioning whether Hola is Mexican, and it is not. It is Peruvian, but they know their tequila's. Very warm, nice people. Very generous with tasting tequila and food, great at recommending menu items. Had a lovely time and it is in a beautiful part of Sunriver, not far from the home we rented on Cottonwood. It is away from the Village and heart of Sunriver, but well worth the few extra minutes to get there.

We ordered mostly Peruvian dishes and pisco sours. Food was middling, the only stand-out being the causa, which had a sort of Nikkei vibe going. Portions are tiny. Skip the flounder at all costs; the baby octopus and calamari in the sauce are rubbery and smell like they were reheated in a microwave oven. Prices incredibly high (doubly so when factoring in the quality of the food itself. Mixed drinks are $15 each, mostly simple syrup, and use bottom shelf liquor. We did order a quesadilla for tour kids. That was pretty good; just shredded poached chicken with farmers cheese and a generous heaping of guacamole and pico de gallo on the side, both of which were fresh, and well-balanced. Service itself was decent enough, but slow. Staff had an air of ambivalence. In short: skip to the Mexican options, opt for beer over cocktails, and bring a small party without kids. Come here if you must absolutely have a view. Otherwise you will be paying a (sizeable) premium for not much benefit.

The only thing that was fresh, and deserved the 1 Star was the guacamole appetizer. We were shocked that this place had so many good reviews. Unfortunately for us, the food was awful as was our service. The shredded chicken tasted like it came from a can. Our $14 chimichanga was soggy wet (probably from the canned chicken juice), and we never even saw our server to let him know. We ended up walking to the front, asking for our bill from someone else, 3 different people couldn’t find it... so they asked us to wait for our server, as if we hadn’t spent the last 30min doing just that. After about another 10min he shows up, gives us somebody else’s bill, leaves again before we have a chance to even notice, so we waited yet again to have it fixed. When he returned, he didn’t say a word about any of it, not even an apology or a thank you, got us our bill and walked away again. Yikes. I’d stay clear of this place, even though it’s tempting being on the waterfront. Such a bummer of an experience!

The food is okay. They call themselves nouveau Mexican and Peruvian yet they have an Argentinian steak on the menu? Anyway, the service was adequate, the décor cartoonish, and the place slightly "sticky." I ordered the shrimp and my dad ordered the paella. The paella was too salty and otherwise lackluster. My shrimp was overcooked and had bananas in it which were too sweet. They should have been plantain. ...also the rice tastes like dirt here. Three stars only because desert salvaged the meal. Keeping with the tradition of looking better than it tastes, the churros I had were presented well but should have been served hot over the ice cream. It tasted like I was at the state fair, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Also things are hilariously overpriced. I wasn't paying or else I might have given a lower score.

This place is definitely not worth the money at all!! The only reason I gave them 1 star instead of none is because the view from restaurant is beautiful. The service was awful. Staff was rude, had to wait for a table for about 20 minutes even though people that came after us and had larger groups were getting sat before us. Once we were seated at a dirty table and then had to move to a clean one the food that came was flavorless and some of it cold. None of us finished our food because it was that bad. On top of the bad service, REALLY overpriced drinks, and flavorless food our bill was $120 for the 4 of us. Two of them small children. That's $120 just for dinner, no appetizers, no dessert, and without ordering any of their over priced drinks. In my opinion this place is definitely not worth it. You are basically paying extra money only because you are in Sunriver not because the food is better quality. $14 for 1 small house Margarita is ridiculous. I've been to plenty of Mexican restaurants that their food is amazing and worth the money..this is not one of those places.
