Off the beaten path for Sunriver - down by the marina. Enjoyable restaurant with some interesting dishes I haven't found anywhere else. Great place at sunset - relaxing.

Nick Vaca

Food was great, delicious!! Server was very rude and seemed very inconveinanced by us, constant Rolling eyes, long sighs, and prudish demeanor

Ra Hennry

Great food with a very friendly staff. The combination of Peruvian and Mexican food is a good idea. The river outside further aids in the ambience.

Collin Mielke

Great food and a friendly staff, nice to get out of the village and enjoy a meal next to the Deschutes.

Bern Olds-Hilsenberg

Fantastic food. Great drinks. Friendly service. Will definitely be returning! Definitely have some of the Casa 1921 creme tequila for dessert!

Daniel Green

Very nice family gathering for 15 if us. Food is greatm

Beth Byce

Beautiful restaurant on the river! The food was very tasty and the service was great. I didn’t have any drinks but they looked amazing. You have to eat here if you visit sun river.

Geoffrey Kenway

Out Cycling came across this restaurant. Peruvian food. Excellent chimmie changa. Moisr beef with a very flavorful red sauce. Chips were rice oil. Cooked and with good red and green salsa. Bartender gave sample margarita. Very good. May have to back for dinner

Danny Corrigan Jr.

Five Stars!!! This place has the best customer service... Super great food and a wonderful view of the river. Highly recommend and THANK YOU for a great experience:-) Definitely will be back...

mickie zacharczyk

Great atmosphere. Window views of the river. Enjoyed watching the duck antics while dining. The food was absolutely excellent and a little gourmet. Very very friendly and accommodating. Very enjoyable for an afternoon of leisure.

A true gem among mostly mediocre options in the area. If this place were in Portland I'd go there all the time. The quality and flavors were exceptional. Highly recommend the shrimp enchilada. And you cannot beat the location.

Adrien Goforth

My family used to love this place but the last time we went it seemed like they cut back on the quality of their food.

Chris Mackay

Great margaritas. Food is either mexican or Peruvian. I got the short ribs the sauce with it was delicous. Also got a burrito that was good as well. Beautiful setting right on the water. Spent almost 80.00 with tip and 2 drinks and with 2 people.my server was very friendly and made us feel like home

Sydney Gingerich

our reservation was late by 30 minutes and the reservation group in front of us was also 35 minutes late! then the food was bad (unmelted nacho cheese and flavorless chicken) and the hostess was rude but guacamole was good. but i definitely recommend the downtown one then the sun river one.

Laura Adams

Mediocre service and bland food. The Chile relleno was the only good dish we got. Everything else needed a hefty dose of spice, salt and lime. Not likely to return.

Matt Elsner

Friendly staff and good food.

Glenda Pascoe

Such a beautiful location to go with the excellent food and amazing staff!

Ken Burns

I'm not sure what I was hoping for, but it definitely missed the mark. Upon entering, the restaurant looked old and dinghy, although the staff were very friendly. The menu itself had good selection, but when the food arrived, the food was either bland or different to what we ordered. Drinks on the other hand were great and good value. I just wouldn't recommend going here if you want to eat.

Becky Brenner

Reserved a table Wednesday for Friday night 630pm. Called to confirm reservation time and told that they don't take reservations. They called me at 6pm Friday to say "Are you coming, we are not busy now" Decided to go but service was questionable. Asked for specific take but told they have wait list. Then that table was given to family that came in AFTER us...walk ins. Served Taco and Enchilada when I ordered Tostada and Enchilada (of course it was Right on the bill for $1 more). Food and ambiance is amazing just horrible service.

Linda Ulmer

As homeowners in Sunriver my husband and I have eaten there the past few years. We ate there with friends who were visiting for the first time this year and were very disappointed. All four different main courses had no flavor, even the guacamole was tasteless, and way too expensive. Don't mind paying $25 to $30 for a good main course. Not going back.

Ty Darapiza

Really good food and margaritas. You're paying a premium for the location, but I feel it's worth it. Can't wait for the remodeled patio!

Darren Pleasance

Great venue with beautiful views of the river. Food quite tasty as well

Barbara Little

The atomosphere is nice, but the service is very slow and the food is at best mediocre. The complimentary chips have no flavor. Items from the same section will have different sides and you have no idea what your getting till you get it. They forgot several toppings and ingredients in my family's meals. It's fine, but nothing special. Wouldn't particularly recommend.

Amy Olson

Great ambiance and great service in a super relaxed location on the river!

Suzanne Bruen

Friendly staff. Fish tacos are amazing ! Great margaritas too- perfect for apres adventure

R T

Food and service were A+, our server Jazmin made the whole experience great. Will definitely recommend this place to anyone nearby.

Laura Curtis

Good food and a really fantastic view. This restaurant is right on the water at the Sunriver Marina. It's a lovely place to ride your bike to and enjoy a nice lunch or early dinner. The halibut fish tacos were quite yummy. The Peruvian influence was a little different than what I was expecting but delightful all the same. The pineapple margarita was enough to make me come back every time I stay at Sunriver.

Tom Clark

Excellent food and service

Tina Wilson

Always amazing food, great drinks, great service and friendly staff!!

Christina Hepp

Great food greater service but very very expensive

James Quattlebaum

Great Mexican and Peruvian food. Beautiful views.

Ruth Miles

Every good restaurant should have a sold chicken soup on their menu. Hola's Sooa de Pollo was excellent. Deep, rich broth combined with shredded chicken, a good set of avocado and other veggies. Hola is also justifiably famous for their margaritas.

Rachael Osmon

On a weekend, nake sure you get a reservation...otherwise you will wait....quite a while. Fabulous food and friendly staff. It's one of our favorite places in Sunriver to take friends to dinner.

Luke Marsh

We dinned here with a large group and most everybody enjoyed the experience. They have a mix of Mexican and Peruvian dishes, many of which we ordered. The only dish that wasn't thoroughly enjoyed was the chicken burrito, based solely on the chickens slightly bland flavoring. The burrito ordered with beef was much better, as was everything else. The restaurant offers a nice view of the Deschutes River and the staff is quite helpful and friendly. Overall, a safe recommendation if you're in the area and looking for some Mexican or Peruvian fare. Oh, and do yourself a favor by ordering a side of their excellent guacamole!

Keenan Darnell

Good location along the river that you can leisurely bike to. Many good items on the menu but not all are hits. Still, such a jolly location that it gets 5 stars

S DeMars

The food was OK small for the price

Aaron Brown

Food was average, service was great

Jim Winkle

Well, I can’t remember the last time I paid $14 for guacamole. Entrees take forever.

simon morris

Jay Poe

Great food and beverages

Eric Macdougall

Bomb margaritas! Great service!

C Palmer

Best surprise in Sunriver.

Chris Mandrell

Great view and service

Jeremy Lindquist

A must when you are in Sunriver. Margaritas are amazing food is unique and tastes great. We make sure and stop by at least once whenever we are in the area. Mango jalapeño margaritas are the best! 4 stars because the service can be hit or miss.

Adrian Galler

The food was delicious and great service.

amanda smith

Best guacamole ever

Chad Edwards

Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, good food

Good peruvian and Mexican food by an estuary of the river. We rode bikes there after the Mud Run. Super fun for the whole family

Andy Niemann

Tristan Bayer

Hand made fresh guacamole prepared at your table along with huge fresh margaritas served by the friendliest wait staff on river. Beautiful and amazing find! We rode our bikes here for a great end to the day.

M K

delicious food & kind service right on the river

Teresa Knox

Service and food is spectacular!

Matt Davis

Great service . would love to see more on the menu .. Overall i rated 4 out of 5

Kelly Graham

Great food and fantastic service. Love this place!

Michael Diven

Great location, sevice, food. Try the Mexican martini - delicious!

Theresa Halverson

I was a little disappointed with the food here. My son, who lived in Peru for a couple of years, loved his Peruvian dish but I got a more traditional Tex Mex style dish and it was pretty bland. The portions were generous and the service was excellent, though. And of course, the location is great.

Gabrielle Johnson

This was our first time. We loved it. The people were very nice. Food was hot and very good. The view was breathless. I recommend Hola' 100%!

Allan Griffin

Always awesome food and atmosphere!!!!

NIDHI SHARMA

Worst food experience

Peter S

Mandatory 20 percent tip adding on the bill? Maybe that's why we didn't get much service. Lol

Monty LeBlanc

Fantastic authentic food. Right on the river, great atmosphere.

Dan Motta

It's ok but there are better restaurants in Sunriver. Food is to-do and service is iffy

Alfonso Capuras

Ordered Chancho a lo Sancho. Server noticed i barely ate, she asked " you don't like it?, I said its very bland, needs salt and flavor. She said its ok I will throw it away. She didn't bill me for the food. Excellent staff but not for the food I ordered.

Earl Heberlein

Food was delicious and not just regular restaurant Mexican food.

MultiMike421

Great. Enjoyed the location, food, service. We asked to change tables, no problem. It's worth the drive from Bend.

Eli Schwarz

Fabulously cozy Mexican-Peruvian restaurant in the middle of nowhere. That is 10-15 minutes walk from the Oregon Observatory a little distance from Sunriver Resort. Had an excellent pisco sour which was enough for three persons and some very tasty Perivian fare. Very friendly and accommodating service.

Terry G

Very good food, friendly staff. We go to Hola regularly and it is consistently good. Sunriver location has great view...actually hangs over the river. Easily ties for best food in SR with the Sunriver Brewing Co.

Jeff Freeman

If you can get a window seat it's a great View. it's a little on the spendy side for the amount of food that you get, but it's not bad the food is good.

Rebecca Crimmins

Wonderful food! Great staff! Be prepared for a wait; they can be really busy.

Sarah Krapes

Really great food and tequila's. I've never had Peruvian cuisine before, but it is very close to Mexican. I notice there is a review questioning whether Hola is Mexican, and it is not. It is Peruvian, but they know their tequila's. Very warm, nice people. Very generous with tasting tequila and food, great at recommending menu items. Had a lovely time and it is in a beautiful part of Sunriver, not far from the home we rented on Cottonwood. It is away from the Village and heart of Sunriver, but well worth the few extra minutes to get there.

Harald Heldt

We ordered mostly Peruvian dishes and pisco sours. Food was middling, the only stand-out being the causa, which had a sort of Nikkei vibe going. Portions are tiny. Skip the flounder at all costs; the baby octopus and calamari in the sauce are rubbery and smell like they were reheated in a microwave oven. Prices incredibly high (doubly so when factoring in the quality of the food itself. Mixed drinks are $15 each, mostly simple syrup, and use bottom shelf liquor. We did order a quesadilla for tour kids. That was pretty good; just shredded poached chicken with farmers cheese and a generous heaping of guacamole and pico de gallo on the side, both of which were fresh, and well-balanced. Service itself was decent enough, but slow. Staff had an air of ambivalence. In short: skip to the Mexican options, opt for beer over cocktails, and bring a small party without kids. Come here if you must absolutely have a view. Otherwise you will be paying a (sizeable) premium for not much benefit.

Chela Wallace

Excellent food, as usual. The owner is very attentive and thoughtful; some of the younger wait staff need more guidance. This was our third visit, would come back and will continue to recommend.

Cheryl Garrett

Good food and pleasant atmosphere

Matthew Steed

Our family stopped here for lunch during a bike ride. The menu felt like it was trapped in the 1990s except for the extensive alcohol menu which we didn't partake. Even though this is Sunriver, AC was cranked up really high.

Akhil Sakpal

Too expensive for the taste of food and drinks. Will not return.

Aaron McGrath

Good food and service. Excellent chile relleno!!

Everydayhousewife2

Love the food, and the employees. Highly recommend. The green cilantro sauce and salsa are the best!!!!!!!!!!!

Danielle Schaab

The only thing that was fresh, and deserved the 1 Star was the guacamole appetizer. We were shocked that this place had so many good reviews. Unfortunately for us, the food was awful as was our service. The shredded chicken tasted like it came from a can. Our $14 chimichanga was soggy wet (probably from the canned chicken juice), and we never even saw our server to let him know. We ended up walking to the front, asking for our bill from someone else, 3 different people couldn’t find it... so they asked us to wait for our server, as if we hadn’t spent the last 30min doing just that. After about another 10min he shows up, gives us somebody else’s bill, leaves again before we have a chance to even notice, so we waited yet again to have it fixed. When he returned, he didn’t say a word about any of it, not even an apology or a thank you, got us our bill and walked away again. Yikes. I’d stay clear of this place, even though it’s tempting being on the waterfront. Such a bummer of an experience!

Eric Simpson

Friendly service and a good peruvian tamales! Hope they can get going and survive in the fickle market of sunriver where the trout house perished!

Scott Hainstock

If you really enjoy Mexican food, this is the spot for you!

Patrick Heatherman

Good food man

Ken Ellmaker

Some of the best food and drinks in the area with a friendly staff.

Dinesh Gundu

Delicious Mexican food. All of us loved the food we got. The staff is very friendly and did not hesitate to give us more complimentary chips and salsa as we were famished and waiting for the order. It was worth the wait. That's Chile Relleno in the picture

Lezli Moltzau

Wonderful place great food.

Alex Houston

Great food and scenery. Right on the water! Its a little pricey, but its good food and atmosphere

Becca Williams

The food and service were mediocre, particularly for the price. You are paying for the river views and location. Later in the week, our group enjoyed extraordinary service and food for half the price at El Caporal in the Village at Sunriver.

Micah Albert

We really like this place! They are very accommodating and family friendly. We were planning to go after kayaking again and talked with one of the owners/servers and I was reminded again how much we like this place. Their food is unique and a great spin to Mexican. This location is particularly special, with amazing views over the Deschutes river. What a hidden gem! I’ll gladly come back for the margaritas again. Thanks!

Tessa Brich

Amazing food and amazing service. A little pricey, but totally worth it!

David Hawkins

Do you want excellent Mexican food? How about fantastic Peruvian cuisine? This is the place. This was my introduction to Peruvian foods, and I am in love! The blend of flavors, the generous drinks, and the service combine to make this one of our favorite places to eat. We drove 150 miles, hoping it would be open (also at a favorite vacation spot).

Mike Goff

Great food and even better drinks

Alyssa

This place is definitely not worth the money at all!! The only reason I gave them 1 star instead of none is because the view from restaurant is beautiful. The service was awful. Staff was rude, had to wait for a table for about 20 minutes even though people that came after us and had larger groups were getting sat before us. Once we were seated at a dirty table and then had to move to a clean one the food that came was flavorless and some of it cold. None of us finished our food because it was that bad. On top of the bad service, REALLY overpriced drinks, and flavorless food our bill was $120 for the 4 of us. Two of them small children. That's $120 just for dinner, no appetizers, no dessert, and without ordering any of their over priced drinks. In my opinion this place is definitely not worth it. You are basically paying extra money only because you are in Sunriver not because the food is better quality. $14 for 1 small house Margarita is ridiculous. I've been to plenty of Mexican restaurants that their food is amazing and worth the money..this is not one of those places.

Blake MacKenzie

Enjoyed a lovely meal for a business function. Great food and excellent service.

Lisa Avallon

Best deal and best tastong margaritas ever
