It is so quaint. The porch where we sat was nice and breezy. The furnishings are quality. It reminds me of the south. The server was great and friendly and the food was delicious.

Fred c

Good dining experience in a renovated home. Reservations are recommended.

Azure Cresent

Definitely try the place it’s a great dining experience The staff was friendly without being intrusive. The Decor and atmosphere was lovely and the food was amazing. Very well done. The Chicken and Dumplings were just melt in your mouth delicious. We’ll definitely be going back. Lots of things on the menu I’d love to try.

Nancy Carpenter

Lovely place, great service. Expensive prices, the food was hit and miss. My husband's salad was good, but small. He really didn't like his pork chop and his roasted Vegas were not cooked well...could hardly cut them, still nearly raw only warmed through. My short ribs were great, but my vinegrette salad was bland. I was just expecting amazing food for the prices and to much feel short.

Jacqueline Frisbee

Amazing food and awesome waitress would say I am glad I finally went.

Teresa Saywers

Great service and food at a reasonable price

Lou Mickelson

Love the farm house vibe! Food was delish! Meatloaf sandwich, fish and chips. Dessert was very good-Apple and pear crumble and the coffee was hot! That's a good thing!

stephanie Lockwood

We were very impressed with Filberts Restaurant! The food and drinks were very good and fresh! The staff very knowledgeable/professional and the renovation/decor is well done! Love having a nice restaurant so close to home without having to drive miles to get there! Well done!!

Yolanda Lopez

Excellent! Fabulous service & scrumptious food! We ordered the Farmhouse burger medium-well- done to perfection, Clam Chowder the best I've ever had and( I'm one picky eater)Seafood mac & cheese OMGOSH, WHAT CAN I SAY other than we ordered extra to go and now Filbert's Farmhouse Kitchen is our Go-To restaurant!

STEPHEN MANN

This is a great place. First time and was very impressed! I had fish&chips, wife had pear salad. Both were very good. Waiter not the best, but by far not the worst we have encountered. HIGHLY recommend this place based on our first experience. Looking forward to returning.

Wayne Richards

Totally unexpected excellent food. Great drink called a Black Manhattan. Wonderful atmosphere.

DJ THUMP Entertainment

Friendly staff and management, and easy to work with! Awesome food as well

Julie Harris

The atmosphere was clean and nice but the air conditioning was set way too cold. The mushrooms and the meatloaf sandwich were excellent. Unfortunately the shrimp and crab cakes were bland and boring.

Patrick Bernhardt

Amazing bread pudding! Very attentive staff and good food. Just opened late December 2018 but they are finding their stride. You can come dressed up or dressed down, wonderfully accommodating for all. And great outdoor seating.

JL R.

Wonderful food and setting. I went with the recommended Fish and Chips and was not disappointed. Great environment and menu for celebrating special occasions.

Anna Phillips

I give this four stars for ambiance and a pleasant wait staff. I had fish and chips, and while the batter was excellent, there was very little fish to be found. Will return for another try, but skip the Long Island Iced Tea at $11.50 for a smallish glass.

Gary Barnett

A very pleasant atmosphere with exellent food and service. We will go back. P.S. it is a 2 hour drive from my house.

Anabel Maldonado

Beautiful experience, the place ,food , dessert, staff ,was absolutely wonderful! Two thumbs up!!!!

As walking into the restaurant the area was very clean presentable. We were greeted immediately as soon as we open the door. we had reservations for 6:45 we showed up a little early we were able to be seated right away. when calling and reserving our table we asked for a window table we were told that it wasn't guaranteed but would it try to be accommodating. My husband and I were able to sit in the corner table right next to the window just as I wished. Our waitress was Gracestofer she was very helpful and accommodating. During our dinner the manager checked in on us. The restaurant was very clean and tidy. All staff personnel was very friendly. We will definitely be back soon.

Ben Miller

Food was good. Service a little slow, but nothing obnoxious. The dinning room was a little hot and stuffy.

Chip Domke

Bread was perfect- fresh ingredients - excellent drink choices. Atmosphere, perfect Saturday casual but refined. Great $ value for quality. Make the trip down from PDX.

Jeffrey Helbling

The new best eat in town, the area, maybe with in 15 miles! If you want excellent local food and local wines prepared with attention to detail then this is the place! Almost shocked that we have such great food in our tiny little town. But, just like antiques Aurora is a collection of great things. We shared local wine for Whiskey Hill Winery with salads and pizza. We were pleasantly surprised with how amazing everything was. The decor is fitting of a downtown Portland restaurant with Chip and Joanna Gains flare! The staff was amazing and friendly. Be sure to make a reservation as we are yet to drive by and not see the parking lot full. Great job, excellent food. Highly recommend!

Liz Custor

While I'd rather keep this place a secret, I can't help but share how fantastic it is! Had dinner here for the first time, great ambiance, fabulous servers who are so welcoming & attentive. Manicotti was excellent, beautiful presentation. My friend had the chicken & dumplings & said they were very good. Portions were perfect (not too small, not too much, had extra for home to save room for dessert. It's great to have such a nice option close to home, especially one so unique & upscale without the Portland drive & price. Highly recommend it! Be sure to make reservations.

Joan Mason

Good presentation of all food and taste was mouth watering! This is a quaint atmosphere created in an add-on to a house built in 1836. Opened Dec 26, 2018. A delightful experience. Reservations a must!

Carla Rogers

Had the seafood croissant. Loved it. Marionberry cheesecake is to dye for. Will be back

Ron Brown

The most pleasant dining experience I have had in the Willamette Valley. The food was so well offered. Our server, Hailie, was so sweet and charming. The room was so clean and well appointed. I went away thrilled.

Sarah Krytenberg

Tastefully decorated with a nice atmosphere, quality food and friendly, quick service.

Doug Hill

Great food. The atmosphere is nice without being stuffy.

Dale Johnson

All was great except the mushroom soup which was way too salty.

Carla Weltz

Our absolute favorite place to go right now! Adorable but elegant. Food is wonderful! Prices pretty average

Don Butler

If you haven't been here, you've been missing out. Fish 'n Chips is amazing, the Burger simply perfect, and the desserts too tempting for words. Make sure to leave room for the Bread Pudding and the Pear-Apple Crumble. WOW! Great weather is perfect for dining outside on the terrace, or inside surrounded by delightful Farmhouse decor when Mother Nature is less friendly. Staff is great, and the prices are in line with the quality of the food.

Sandra Brownlee

What a wonderful find!! Well worth the drive. A bit spendy, but worth it. Room for groups even! We LOVED it

Jeannine Glennon

Our waitress Kimberly was awesome! The greeter was too ! The food was excellent & the service Was great! The dining room was beautiful! We will definitely be back!❣️❣️❣️

Carrie Postma

Everything about this place was wonderful. The staff was kind and professional. The food was so incredible. Details from cleanliness to environment to food presentation were obviously important and appreciated. Overall, a superb first visit, looking forward to coming back soon. A few more things to note: - we ate upstairs which seemed to be more formal (think date night, business lunch, family dinner, etc) - downstairs was a different vibe with a happy hour menu and outdoor seating - 2 banquet rooms available for events (a perfect venue for small wedding!) - decor was vintage farmhouse with shiplap everywhere (The Gaines would be proud) - Our waiter gave a us a complimentary dessert for our anniversary (bread pudding is heavenly!) Very thoughtful. - Plenty of parking

This was my third time here, first two meals were excellent. The third was horrible. I love the atmosphere and the service but was really upset with my last meal. I had ordered the bone in pork chop along with other member of my party. They were both under cooked and clearly raw, I notified the server who promptly apologized and had taken both back to the kitchen. I was OK with this as sometimes this happens, unfortunately it was 45 minutes before my plate was returned. It was the same pork chop and overcooked to the point of being actually burnt, the kitchen clearly was upset and I guess wanted to prove some kind of point. I ate 2 bites and just left the plate to be picked up. I paid the bill and feel stupid for doing so. I will not be going back and I am really disappointed, this place has so much potential to be great.

alisha grezlik

Went for the first time today since it's close to work. I had the clam Chowder and the rustic bread. Really lovely place! Food was good, staff was attentive. The only thing is that it's more expensive than I would have liked, however will be a nice treat every once in a while!

Sally Medford

Same as Anna “I give this four stars for ambiance and a pleasant wait staff. I had fish and chips, and while the batter was excellent, there was very little fish to be found.” The two pieces of fish were about 1”x 2” for $14.00.

Nicholas Kline

Nice joint in the antique district. Good and friendly service. Had fish and chips. The fry on the fish was perfect. Breading was not soggy at all, the oil clean, and fish was very most. My old fashioned was very sweet However.

Stephen Murray

Very good food, attentive wait staff, nice setting.

Alex Garfield

It was okay. It seemed like a lot of our food (table of 4) was sweet. Not exactly sure why there was so much sugar in the sauce of the short rib, but I got over it. And the short rib was very dry, it had the texture of a Crockpot roast that didn't cook long enough. Then I tried my husband's meatloaf – meh. For the price of the meals, I would have expected a better taste. However, the mushroom starter we got was great, and we enjoyed the ambiance overall.

Sara Bales

Really cute place with a classic, vintage vibe. I will give it another try, but I must be honest and say my sandwich and fries were not very good. The fries were cold and the sandwich (a grilled cheese & tomato) was also cold...the cheese was only halfway melted and the tomato didn't have flavor. For the price, I was expecting better quality ingredients.

Lori Luckham

Today myself and 2 friends came to lunch to celebrate a birthday. 2 of us had your fish & chips and another had your "special of the day" Rock fish. You have a WONDERFUL restaurant and the food was very DELICIOUS! Service was fantastic! And last but not least! Your Bread Pudding is unbelievable ! I even brought one home for my husband❣We will be back!

Doug Coates

Great food, well prepared, decent prices, beautiful location.

Andrea DeTemple

Such a fabulous find!! Great food! Lovely wine list! The building and vibe is so great! Can't wait to come back in the summer to sit out on the patio!!

Dallas Kraft

Great food and service! Also like the history behind the building.

John Kutasz

Visiting Aurora, it's not uncommon for us to stop before reaching the town's southern border. Luckily, we made it far enough on our most recent trip to make it as far as Filberts. Lunchtime on Monday seems to trend towards well dressed women getting together, and for a while I was the only male customer in a pretty full room. It could be that the women are the smart ones in the area - everything we had was spot on. The light fish on a brioche bun made me happy, and my wife's shrimp salad received rave reviews. She said the dressing looked like what you get with a Shrimp Louie, but had enough horseradish that it bordered on a shrimp cocktail. The third member of our party had tomato bisque, a house salad, and the side of grilled bread. The wine list is full of some very good local labels, and their beer selection was excellent - our only quibble was that it's an "ask your server" beer situation, and we think enough care has been taken with their offerings that they should have it in writing. Service was very professional, and properly attentive without hovering. All in all, just the kind of lunch experience we were hoping for.

Dennis Trussell

What a great place to dine. Great atmosphere and the staff is top notch.

Trevor Arnold

I had high hopes for this place. The ambience is great in a really cute old farmhouse. But the food was lackluster at best. Out of 4 entrees at the table, only one was good. One was bad. And the others were just ok. We had 2 deserts and neither were good.

Mark Hopping

Great food and staff. Nice environment to be having B-Day dinner with your family. Thank you.

dilya khamroyeva

Delicious food and drinks and a super cute environment!!

Cathy Ramsay

Was there for the first time after having read good reviews. The service was impeccable, the food was absolutely delicious. My friend and I had a seafood appetizer and salmon as our entree and both dishes were perfectly prepared tender hot and very tasty. The food was beautifully plated and eye pleasing. The atmosphere very crisp and clean and smart in black and white. Looking forward to my next visit very soon. This will definitely be a favorite place to go.

Rachel Knotts

This is the cutest place, really beautiful interior and exterior without being pretentious. The food is the same way, lots of great local options, and everything we've tried has been great. Really nice, well made, comfort food. The service is equally great, 5 stars all around!

Sarah L

We loved the experience all the way around. The food was fantastic. I want to try everything on the menu. The ambiance was classy but not overstated. Staff was genuinely kind and wonderful. We will be back.

Laura Harden

We just spent a magical evening at Filberts Farmhouse kitchen. Wow! They have really created a beautiful destination (not fair to call it merely a restaurant). The food and service were absolutely wonderful! Good enough to compete with even the finest east coast establishment. This place really reminds me of some of the finer historical restaurants I have visited on the east coast. Everything is so well thought out, the decor, the menu, the bar, the service. I kept thinking, it would be such an excellent venue for a wedding! Expansive spaces in such a charming historical setting. This is sure to be our new favorite spot. We also had a chance to meet the manager. Let me assure you, you will be in good hands if you are so lucky to stop in for a bite.

Wayne Gorsek

Amazing 5 star food, service and atmosphere! The pasta, pizza and crostini are beyond awesome!

Seth Thrustershaft

Okay food, but not as great as everyone else rants about or raves. I had the meatloaf and it was just okay, the meatloaf was recreated into a high end dish.........meatloaf should be simple. I have had much better at other restaurants that are less expensive. In the name Farmhouse one would think country food, relaxed atmosphere. But in reality, high end food, marble tables and stuffy atmosphere. Most farmhouse restaurants I been to are usually a very relaxed, mix-matched decor and very informal. This restaurant is very formal feeling and high society.

Cynthia Packham

So cool to have this amazing restaurant in our backyard. We walked over. My husband had the pork chop and said it was the best pork chop he had ever had. He even loved the vegetables. I had the chicken and dumplings. Soooo good. I could only eat half of it. Can't wait to eat the left overs. The decor and music is wonderful, and the service great. We will be back.

Mary Lewis

The food was great and the staff was wonderful. We had a lovely time!

Jay Mousavi

This place has great food , we stopped here drinking to Portland from California. The fish and chips was awesome.

C P

Very classy farmhouse restaurant. I had the salmon - bit dry, but the hamburger was incredibly tasty! The fries are cooked perfect. Seafood croissant sandwich was a little bland. Hazelnut Apple Pear Crumble was pretty good too. Cant wait to try the bread pudding for dessert. I'll be coming back for that burger!

BARRY LAMPERT

Service was great all the lady's from the front to rear of the house where very personable and excited about working at this establishment . Special was surf and turf. Done to perfection and the Salmon made you want to send back the steak and get the salmon. Since we always share. OMG. Great flavors. The only thing I questioned was the water with no ice. Most Oregon water needs lemon and ice. Let's keep it country. Don't make me ask for either. Looking forward to trying lunch in the near future. Thank you to all who work at FILBERTS. great experience.

Dede Rohman

Not what I expected, Pretty place, nice people, too high prices

Darlene White

Worth the drive. Good food and nice staff.

Tim Branson Branson

Pricey but good food and service.

Pat Gaunt

Had a wonderful Valentine's Day lunch today. It was very crowded when we got there and since we had not made a reservation we worried we might have a long wait. That was not the case. They opened the Farmhouse Room and we were seated right away. All the staff were very friendly. The atmosphere is very warm and comfortable. We did have a very long wait for our food but they were very very busy so that made sense. It was well worth the wait!! All 4 of us really enjoyed our food. Top notch. Definitely will tell others and will be back! Happy Valentine's Day to all.

Donald Stubbs

Very modern and spotless, great food and friendly and attentive waitstaff.

kelly branderhorst

Couldn't talk to anyone . He was in a meeting. Don't know anything about the place. Will check in again with more details on dining choices next week. Four star atmosphere. Nice clean decorations.

Janet Talbott

Food incredible ,crab cakes spectacular, fish chips excellent, Brownie cheesecake to die for they are on the preferred list that you get from Swan island dahlias, Tiny drive from the flowers but they are worth every fabulous morsel

Karen Miller

The greeter and servers were so pleasant! The building is fabulous. And the the food! Best portabello sandwich ever. We left there feeling full, happy and refreshed!

Char Baker

Beautiful inside and out. Would be wonderful for small events. Or lunch with the girls. ♥️

Patrick Rectenwald

My wife, four year old son and myself made reservations and had dinner here tonight. The building is warm, clean and tidy. The staff are friendly and inviting and made us feel welcome. They have a kids menu which had my son's standard favorite so he was happy. For appetizers we ordered the brown sugar bacon deviled eggs and the bread and balsamic Olive oil. Both were good. My wife had the salmon which was over asparagus and whipped parsnip with a balsamic drizzle. I had the braised short rib which had a red wine brown gravy, chopped carrots and celery over whipped parsnip. Both were delicious and the portion size was just right. The only criticism we had was both of our meals were a tad dry and needed salt. This is a new restaurant and I'm sure all the kinks will be worked out soon. We plan on going again.

Nitsirk T

Beautiful restaurant, but the food and service leave something to be desired. Not only did my meal come out last (after everyone was basically done eating), I couldn’t even eat it. The chicken sandwich was absolutely horrible, and frankly, I don’t even have the words to describe the texture of the chicken. It was something along the lines of rubbery or spongy, but that’s not quite right. All of our meals were barely warm and we were not impressed with the food, especially for the price.

Mike Fricker

Great food, server was having a bad day.

Robert Nix

Our first time at this quaint old farmhouse venue in Aurora off highway 99E. We had a late lunch for 4 on Saturday afternoon. Place was busy, but both food and service were excellent. Farm burger, grilled chicken salad, and 2 shrimp salads were all excellent. Prices moderate. Highly recommend this place. We will be back.

cjm007

The food is good the service is fantastic. The server makes you feel at home making sure everything is perfect. The surroundings are picturesque. A true piece of the country side worth the drive. If you are traveling through stop in, if you are in Portland drive out for the experience.

Ryan Barnes

Searched for restaurants near me while wine tasting, and was very pleasantly surprised by Filbert's. Not only was the menu tasty and well executed, but it was reasonably priced! We walked out the door for $60 for two people, which was a pleasant surprise. No alcohol, but a fancy non alcoholic beverage and a delicious appetizer were included in that price. Definitely a "must see" if you enjoy well executed American staples!

ApocaLIPS Gorgeous

Top notch! Food is great, atmosphere is excellent, the staff are amazing! Best little gem this direction. But make sure to get reservations. It's always packed!

Mary Lou Burns

Great dining experience at Filberts! This was our first dinner visit. We had previously had lunch and were very pleased so we took our family there to celebrate a birthday. Every one of us thought their choice was A+. The service was great and the ambiance is delightful. We are so happy to have a restaurant of this caliber in our vicinity. We will definitely be returning.

Toby Hadd

Great food and great people to work with

Don Slack

Food superb. Service excellent.

Jan Becraft

Beautiful restaurant able to accommodate large or small groups. It is my favorite new find!! Food is good and our waiter was fantastic! Our group felt very special.

Nanci Dickerman

It was fine. I always think it is interesting when a restraunt uses multilple descriptors on a menu. You expect it will translate into something amazing. In this case it was good food. With Portland so close and full of James Beard award winning chefs it is difficult to call this that level. It works for the people of the area who call it excellent. I assume most of these people rate Olive Garden as amazing which would make this restraunt levels above that in their eyes. It was amusing to have the hostest ask us if we had a reservation when there was plenty of room. If they are trying for pretension then they have to create astounding food.I suppose pedestrian is the word I would use.

Joey Hoyt

First time visit bone in ribeye was absolutely the best I ever had I ordered medium rare and it was nice and warm from first bite until last with no extra blood running out. the wifes wild mushroom manicotti was so good. And the dinner salad was also really good. I had pumpkin cheesecake for dessert which was amazing

Karen Gable

Service was just as expected, great, very beautiful place!

internetcowgirl12

Off to a great start in Aurora! Professional, friendly staff with a great menu! Worth the money!

Timothy Krupa

Super, long all fronts: food, service, ambience

Kari Nichols

The only thing I enjoyed about this place was the farmhouse building and plantation decor. The food wasn’t true farm to table and was expensive for average quality. I had the salmon $28 the presentation was nice but over cooked and blah tasting. My husband had the seafood Mac and cheese $25 and it was terrible, probably leftover seafood with hard pieces in it. The wait staff was lethargic probably because it was hot and stuffy inside. Tables too close together and it felt like we were seated on top of each other. We weren’t offered to taste the $30 bottle of White wine before staff already poured for our party of 5 and it tasted like soda pop wine. Do not recommend!

Bill Sweet

Great people and service Food was excellent. Prices are a bit above average. Good size portions Will certainly be going back.

Samuel Gurel

Food is good. Service is always some combination of awkward, rude. Today there is a new hostess who has no hospitality. And when I tried to ask a question For clarification the hostess cut me off and was super rude.

sabbyr2003

Great food and great service. The atmosphere was great and it was a really cute place.

Martin Sanchez

What a great find if you’re looking for a classy atmosphere and local dining. Food was great as was the service. What definitely recommend.

Santiago Kent

What a find so close to home. This restaurant is definitely on my return list and a must visit for those wanting great food without an hour commute. Here is a small sample of the great food. Would have ordered more but the crane to carry me out was not available

Karl Stephens

Rare is the occasion that Everything was perfect. This lunch was one of those perfect meals. Thursday lunch @ 12:pm parking lot and overflow full. We agreed we would only wait a half an hour to be seated. Not only were we seated immediately but there were tables available. The overpopulated parking was due to a banquet in the basement. Our table attendants name was Jordan a lovely young lady who gave us absolutely flawless service. Tomato bisque, side salad, mushroom spinach manacotti was my order. Everything was absolutely perfect. Everything was well thought out, spiced and cooked to perfection. Hot food served on hot plates and cold food on chilled plates. This lunch was not cheap but was well worth it as far as we are concerned. Kudos to the Chef. Well done. We shall return for dinner soon. Very pleased, Karl

Steven Ross

We randomly stopped here for lunch when driving through. We had five in our party. We all really enjoyed the meal, atmosphere and hospitality. I had a wonderfully perfected vegan portobello mushroom dish. The house salad was amazingly crisp and the chicken pear salad was beyond great. The prices are reasonable especially for my meal. Enjoy!

David Ransdell

Wonderful place with a very nice atmosphere. Food was delicious and of very high quality. Arranged on the plate nicely and had good flavors. Their meatloaf was really good on the horseradish potatoes and fennel veggies.

Mimi

I love the atmosphere! Great food as well! You can tell that everything is fresh and prepared with care. The server was very friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu! She made some great suggestions! We will definitely be coming back again! Looking forward to coming when the weather is warm and sitting on their porch!

David R

Ended up here accidentally as we were passing through, on a recommendation that a "place that looked like a barn" was really good. First impression: baffled at the number of AC units outside. Restaurant was busy at 2 pm, always a good sign. Seated promptly, then promptly forgotten. After a half hour or so we wondered if we were supposed to order at the bar...nope. Got the server situation sorted out but by then the background music had pretty much dashed our hopes of enjoying a late lunch. I've not been diagnosed with chronic depression but after listening to that music for an entire meal I think I have a real shot at it. Seriously the background music was so bad I couldn't not notice it. Tap selection is lean-this is Oregon, six taps featuring a California IPA just ain't gonna get it done. Mixed drink my friend got (the Finn) was fantastic. Nice work there by the bartender. We ended up going with the special, fish tacos, and they were wonderful. I love fish tacos and these were solidly in the top five I've ever had. We actually ordered seconds. We will be back in town in a week, but even with the steller food the music is a big "nope, never again" for us.

IBCNU

Delicious food and drink. Service very nice, helpful and attentive. Beautiful facility. Price is evevated, but fair.
