I'm a Dental Assistant from Roots Dental office right next door. The staff and I walked to have lunch all together for Dr's birthday and we ENJOYED IT a lot!! EVERYONE at Don Kamaron were super warmhearted, and they sang happy birthday for Dr. I had their burrito and I personally LOVED it. For the price it was big and FLAVORFUL. I will be going back!! If you have questions- ask bc they did not hesitate to answer all of ours :)

Actually, I appreciated ending up there in their picnic tables that was laid out on front yard which became my sanctuary at 3am. All the way from 75th and glisan after a celebration :) it wasn't open when I woke up and met the owner or cook so I assure you that the cook is the real thing :)

Came here for a mother's day lunch, and it was so horrible. Customer service was horrible. They need a more friendly and waitress who isn't going to ignore their customers. Ordered a tostada that was so small, and the people next to us ordered one too and it was way bigger than mine. I don't recommend this place for nothing!

Pretty awesome place, a bit hidden but food is great. Tostadas are good portioned. Decoration is also good, nice and simple, no sombreros, donkeys or anything like that. Great place. Very clean, friendly staff.

So here's the deal, it's a tint house on Division in outer SE Portland so it's easy to miss or write it off. But if you did that then you'd be missing out on some amazing food!!! Anything you try will be so good, but their speciality is Seafood.... I know that might seem scary, but they know what they are doing and its some delicious food!

Do Not Recommend Don Kamaron Nasty, spencive and The customer service is horrible. Order some food they took ah long time to get it to me and the waitress would walk by and see that I needed ah Refill and would ignore it after me telling her that I needed one still ignored it. I wasn't the only one. She looked like she had barely woke up got up threw on her shoes and off she went to work. DON KAMARON needs better service and to hire new ones. Plus ah new Person to make the cocktails cause the one I got was nasty. I won't be going back that's for sure.......

Only reason it didn't receive the 5th star, was based upon the fact that their tortillas are not hand made. Otherwise, an awesome hole in the wall joint! It's very small, with parking in the back but our group of 7 enjoyed all our meals! Miches were on point and as all the other reviews state, the shrimp is a must try!

They tortilla was soggy, which as far as I know, quesadillas aren't supposed to be soggy. When I called later to let them know about my experience. Instead of making it right and offering me some sort of refund for their misdoing. I was faced with excuses and a seemingly immature manager yelling in the background. I've been in the service industry for 10 years, and never would I EVER treat a customer like they treated me. Sorry not sorry, but people's health is nothing to be taken lightly. I highly encourage anyone who eats here to check their food. Because apparently the people who work their do not.

Don't expect ambiance, and don't be a snob. 4 of us ordered four different shrimp dishes and four house margaritas, and all agreed it was one of the best Mexican food meals - maybe best meals- wed ever had. The place is small, maybe 10 tables, and it's easy to pass driving by on Division. Family owned and operated, Mom was cooking and son and cousin were serving Cant say enough good things. Go there, you won't be sorry.

Mexican seafood restaurants are new to me, but there are a couple of decent ones in east Portland. The menus are similar in content and price. All of these places seem a little expensive for what you get. I've only had the sarandeados and octopus ceviche here so far. The seafood is high quality but the cucumbers and tomatoes are standard flavorless Sysco truck fare. The octopus was tender and tasty. Sarandeados are buttery, spiced grilled shrimp. Suck the heads dry and don't be shy about eating as much of the crispy shells as you feel comfortable with. There was a huge speaker blasting music at a comically loud volume considering how tiny this place is. I'm trying not to be a whiny gringo gentrifier but it made it hard to enjoy my company. The server was really nice and helpful. I'm not sure if I would come back here, but I wish I wanted to because I'd like to try more of this style of food.
