Incredible food and amazing service! I'm not really into wine, but if I were, this would be the place to go. The food is absolutely incredible, both in presentation and in taste. The service it wonderful as well. Refills before your glass is empty every time. This is the perfect spot for a fancy date night and I'd highly recommend it. Also, the lemon white chocolate cheesecake is the best cheesecake I've ever had, and I've had a lot.

My girlfriend and I have been to Thr Metro Wine Bar a number of times now and we are never disappointed. From the Parmesean Rissoto to the Salmon we love every dish we get. Went this evening to celebrate her birthday and our upcoming 5 year anniversary. The moment we walked in the staff started wishing her a happy Birthday and wrote a beautiful happy birthday on our dessert dish. It's all in the details and Metro gets it right! Thanks for another great night.

This place was almost there. Wait staff was excellent. Atmosphere was nice. Clean. Had a cocktail and it was mediocre, which is disappointing considering the type of place and price. Food was good. I got the special and it was ok. It was lacking for the type of place and price. I will definitely try this place again but it didn’t meet my expectations. Overall though everything was good and I would recommend to others, but it doesn’t make the “must try” list.

Filet was amazing, waiter was nice, yet one of our party had food allergies & some of the food was not done as we asked, which is always disconcerting when making special requests that are health oriented. Only an apology was given - no compensation & no real initiative to come back & try again. We asked to say hello to manager yet she didn't have time for us & never came by. It's a lovely cozy atmosphere that we wished had been more accommodating to all involved.

For $150, the food needs some work. Let's break this down: The ambience is just fine. It's fairly small, but they have a good idea with some confusing issues regarding food. Their wine list is good, and their menu is easily interpreted. We ordered the mushroom ravioli and the crabcakes, both splendid. Individualistic concepts with flavor combos (but lose the bruschetta-like center with the ravioli), and that's where the real magic stopped. The chef needs to really use what techniques they seem to employ with appetizers to their entire menu. Their chicken paillard was not very convincing and lacked depth of flavor. Their "roasted half-chicken" was less than half a chicken by a long shot, and it had poorly-fried breast meat on top of a rather tasty bed of mashed potatoes. Save your money, go to Mantel Wine Bar or somewhere else where every facet of the food is thought about and significantly prepared.

They're are two reasons to go here: #1 you are old as hell #2 you like good food and wine at a good price. We love it. One of the best date nights I've had in OKC- our steak and seafood was cooked perfectly and seasoned to perfection, and our server was extremely friendly and helpful with the wine list. Great, classy atmosphere and delicious menu- a must-try!

A little hard to find but worth the effort. Fabulous staff, the hostess actually came out to the street to help us locate the place. Perfect destination for that special romantic dinner. Decor, atmosphere and lighting create the ultimate date environment. Upscale but cozy. We started with the charcuterie plate and cheese selection. Both were excellent in quality and taste and the presentation was impeccable. We shared a few entres to expand our sampling and the ahi tuna and pawns, filet mignon and the halibut were very, very good, however the didn't match the remarkable excellence of the starter courses. The creme brulee was to die for and spot on in it's preparation. I recommend the Metro highly and it will have a spot in my date night rotation.

The Metro has an extensive wine by the glass list accompanied by a list of flights which offer the opportunity to taste and compare their wines by the glass and find your new favorite. The menu at The Metro is the perfect balance of both inspired and classic creations in every course. The pricing is one of the best things about dining here; from lunch to dinner the Metro's prices have always been competitive, allowing the diner to return often. A specialty of The Metro is their world class Wine Dinners and luncheons. Their culinary staff are from the best schools and restaurants around and excel in pairing food and wine for a fantastic dining experience.

Top notch cuisine served with top notch service. The food is superb. Place is pretty dark as they keep their lights a little low, however lights on each table. The place can be packed yet not overly loud. This is just a wonderful place to get a really good meal.

Always consistent! I’ve been going to the metro for 15 years and it never disappoints. The cuisine is exceptional and continues to change for each season. The specials are always creative and the apps are delicious. They have an extensive wine selection and the bartenders can make any cocktail you desire. The staff is seasoned and well informed of each and every dish. Really enjoy the cozy bar.

Chef Joseph prepared a splendid four-course meal all plant based (WFPB). Interesting flavors and textures all for a very reasonable price.

The food is ok until we have a little mishaps. We got the attention of waitress and let her knows there is a piece of broken glass in the mashed potatoes. The respond is “That’s weird, never happen before” like we’re lying. She walked away with the broken glass, and come back with a new a side masked potatoes dish. Then follow with “the manager said he can given you a free desert that’s 9.99”..... Wow,,, just wow. We never get an apology, and that’s all we are waiting to hear. Never see the manager either. Most place, the manager would come to your table and said something. The service is beyond terrible, so I’m not sure why the rating is so high. Well, we skip the desert as not worth the risk. We went down the road to Stella Nova for a good cup of coffe instead.

Very romantic and the food and service are absolutely second to none. I love this cozy, dark restaurant for a quiet, formal date. The only other remarkable feature is that that no one under the age of 107 seems to visit this place except for me and my wife. But it sort of adds to the charm, plus I don't ever have to worry about running into a hipster.

Absolutely one of the most divine dinner date experiences we've had in a very long time. We sat at the bar (which made it feel more casual) and visited with the bartenders all evening. They not only provided great drinks and service, but great conversation as well. The food was exquisitely prepared and presented, and it was so flavorful. This is where we go for special occasions, and everyone always loves it. The food is always perfectly cooked & seasoned, and the rolls are divine. We have tried many different dishes & have never been disappointed. This is also where we take out-of-town visitors for dinner, as we know they will love it & come away with a wonderful memory of Oklahoma City. My favorite dessert is the Pot de Creme. I try to save room for it every time we go, & I've been known to get a box for my entrée rather than finish it & not have room for dessert!

Dec 2018 update. The Metro never disappoints. Still one of our favorite restaurant in OKC. Always great food and service. We're 20+ year patrons. Never ever disappointed. The filet is awesome and I love the Parmesan Risotto with Burgundy braised beef. The pork tenderloin is also amazing, but don't leave without getting the best Bread Pudding around. Awesome.

My wife and I have our annual Christmas Dinner for the two of us here. It has been a tradition for probably the past 5 years. We used to love this place and it was on the top of our short list of restaurants we like. When we eat out, it is usually because we are willing to spend money on food that we cannot make at home; whether it be French cooking, sushi, etc. Last night's experience was not up to the standard we expect and pay for at the Metro Wine Bar. I don't know if it was a bad night or it is just not what it used to be, but either is inexcusable for a $180 meal. I ordered my steak medium rare; it was very rare. I know what a medium rare steak is, and I know how to butter baste a steak and cook it well. It wasn't even a good cut of meat like in past years. It came with french fries, which I believe I remember being the case in the past. But unlike in the past, I truly believe these french fries were not made in-house, and if they were it is sad how poor quality they were. The fries at The Garage are better. My plate had no vegetables on it. I assumed the description just didn't have vegetables, because for the analogous price there were vegetables included in the past. Where are the mashed parsnips or roasted vegetables they have had in previous years? My meal was extremely disappointing, and for paying $30+ I should have gotten a good steak cooked correctly with at least homemade french fries and some vegetables. If I bought a sirloin steak, seasoned it, pan-cooked it with butter basting, roasted my own potatoes and vegetables, my meal at home would have been better and cost $7.50. This is NOT what I expected from the Metro Wine Bar. Why would I go to MWB anymore?? My wife got a rack of lamb which was pretty good. Bottle of wine was good. French onion soup was good. Waiter issues: Our waiter did not ask me to cut into my steak and ask me if it was done to my liking. Inexcusable for the price of our meals. And I did not send it back; my wife's food was correct and she was eating. I wasn't going to sit there while she was eating and then get my food again after she was finished. Again, not expected or deserved from the MWB. We asked for more butter which we never got. I don't know why it was as poor as it was. Maybe it's because my wife and I look young even though we're 40 and have 2 kids who are 17 and 18. Maybe the chef was sick. Maybe they ran out of good steak and real fries and had to serve bad quality food to me. Whatever the reason, it is inexcusable for what we paid for that meal. Sadly, this experience has forced us to remove MWB from our list of restaurants that we are willing to pay for unless they give us a reason not to. And to top it off, their website no longer works. I could not go on and see what the menu was this time around. For whatever reason, they seem to not care about this issue. MWB, i await your response. It doesn't look like you respond to reviews which you should. Im going to write a physical letter if there's no response. Are you willing to respond and satisfy an extremely unsatisfied customer who has been a customer of yours for years?? Yes, most reviews are good, so it will be interesting if you respond to us. If we are an outlier, then you should have all the more reason to want to make this right.

Our food was perfect. There were five of us, and we were all very pleased with our entrees, soups, and salads. Adam, our waiter, was on the mark all night. So pleasant and helpful all evening. We were there for quite a while, and he had to open several bottles of wine for us. He made that fun and interesting. We hope to return to the Metro very soon.

The Metro recently hosted our rehearsal dinner in the Tapestry Room and was able to seat 32 guests comfortably. My now husband and I cannot say how much we loved the overall experience, from food to service. Our guests have told us multiple times how lovely all of the dishes were as well as how amazing the atmosphere and service were.
