The sampler appetizer was really good the bison burgers were really good. The only complaint was in regards to how it was cooked. The one that was requested to be well done was medium.... minor yes, but someone needs to listen better...

First time at this restaurant, lots of people I know say they love it, I was not impressed. Friday evening sitting at the bar, restaurant very loud and crowded. Employees were very friendly. I ordered the fried deviled eggs. Panko crust was nice and crispy, but the egg part had no flavor so I could only taste the coating. Menu says there is relish and mustard in them but I did not taste it. Ordered the lunch portion of the meatloaf which was two slices. The meatloaf was so incredibly salty that I only ate one slice and didn't bother with the other. Salad was good but the ranch dressing was as thin as milk. Potatoes were okay, too chunky and stiff to be called mashed potatoes like the menu says. The gravy was good but there wasn't much of it. I might try this place again for lunch to see if I can really like it.

The Lokal is a great local place. Their burgers are large and the fry serving is more than anyone in my family can eat! If you eat inside the restaurant the service is amazing. My only concern was their to go order service last week. I stood their waiting while my food was getting cold during which time another order was placed. I had 4 people including a manager ask if I was being taken care of and I replied no. The food was good but disappointed in the to go service.

Food is always good, service has only been sub-par over the dozen visits. Therefore we only order to-go now...until today. Told 20-25 minutes, but after 40 minutes of waiting was then told there was still around another 10 minutes. If it’s 50 minutes, so be it, just don’t call it 20-25.

Not impressed. The place is nice inside, and our waiter was *awesome*... very friendly and accommodating! However, the food was quite underwhelming, especially for the price. I’ve never had a sweet potato French fry that I didn’t like... until eating them here. They were dry, and so hard to chew, as if they had been sitting under a heat lamp for several hours. I ordered my burger cooked medium, and it was served dry and well done. My partner felt the same way about his order, and my son refused to eat the dry sweet potato fries as well. He could hardly chew them! We left wondering what all the hype was about, unfortunately. We won’t be back.

This is great local place to meet and eat! Tasty updated versions of comfort food. Whether you opt for hot fried deviled eggs or a plate of soft beer pretzels with cheese, it's a good start for a meal you will enjoy. The chicken fried chicken or chicken fried steak served up on a bed of mashed potatoes slathered with gravy will convince you to come again and again. Don't miss out on good food!

Can not find one thing wrong with this place!!! Our waitress was very friendly! The place is clean! The tables get clean right after the customers leave. Everything was fresh even the Tea tasted good! Looks like the cooks work aaa team. I like to be able to see them cook!! Will come back and a great place to take people for a different taste and a great experience. Love the decor of the place also!!! Much recommend!!

Second time visiting, this time at the new location which is a few doors down from the original place. Food is always great (tasteful and hot) , service was a little slow at 3 pm. Would definitely come again as it is our stopping point when traveling through OK.

Not one to usually walk away from a restaurant disappointed. Pretty easy going when it comes to food and usually we never say anything to the staff about the food. We didn’t wait long to get a table but we waited a loooonnnggg time to get our food. Our appetizer took a really long time but it was good. Our food took a long time to come out (which is fine it was a Saturday night) but then I cut into my chicken and it wasn’t fully cooked so I waited another 15 minutes while my whole family ate. My food came and they recooked my meal but the chicken was cut super thin and I could tell they didn’t give me the regular size chicken. I know they sliced the breast in half so it would cook fast but then all I had was pretty much crust. Not impressed at all. Probably will not be returning which is disappointing because we love going to local restaurants and suppporting the small places. Our waiter was hustling and was good. They did comp my meal which is good but we still spent $60 and are less then impressed.

Great brunch selection, open seating, attentive service and the food was very good. Kitchen got bogged down and was a bit slow on orders, but it was Mother's Day brunch, so they were at capacity and had a line out the door. Looks to have a good beer selection. Very comfortable feel to me. We will be going back for brunch and other meals.

My wife and I love to go here. Pros: - the food is great - the drinks are good. Especially the miles Cons - the menu is relatively small and needs some Updating - It’s pretty pricey for Yukon - the new building is not as inviting as their old one. Worth a visit and get the fried deviled eggs.

This is one of those restaurants that's popular because it's trendy and not because anyone likes their food. We tried on three different occasions. Once to see what it was all about, a second time to give it another shot, and a third time at a friend's birthday party. Twice I had burgers and both times they were so dry I had to eat them with a mouth full of liquid to get them down. They also INTENTIONALLY do not season their french fries. I'm a big believer in the fact that food should be seasoned properly in the kitchen, it's not the customers job to season their own food. The third time I tried the salmon, and while cooked properly, it again had no seasoning at all. Season your food!!!

I was very excited when I saw online that The Lokal Yukon offered chicken and waffles but when I arrived I noticed it wasn’t on their menu. So when our waitress walked up I asked if they served chicken and waffles and she responded with “we only serve chicken and waffles on Sundays for brunch.” I was fairly disappointed that they had the ability to make the chicken and waffles yet they could not deliver them to me. If you put something on the menu you should be able to serve it to the customer. I do not think I will be coming back.

Fried deviled eggs are fantastic. I had the BLT sandwich and it was huge with a side of the homemade macaroni and cheese. My mail was so large I only got half of it eaten and saved the other for the next day and it was just as good that day as well

The pork chops, grilled salmon, and chicken fried steak looked wonderful. If you don't eat a lot ask for the lunch portion unless you want to take some hone with you. All in all a great place, they also opened a pizza place next door to it call the panhandle

Went here for dinner and was seated within view of the kitchen. The service wasn’t great. We waited 10 minutes just to get our drink order taken and our waitress couldn’t even crack a smile. The food was okay. Our table ordered the fried deviled eggs, the chicken fried steak which was super tough, and the bison meatloaf. The worst part of our experience was watching the kitchen staff. The cooks were eating popsicles and playing on their phones and weren’t using gloves for anything! I watched one cook bite his nails and proceed to arrange food on a plate with his bare hands. He also grabbed some fries that were sitting on the dirty counter and tossed them back on the plate. If it weren’t for the gift certificate we had we probably would have left right then. I feel sorry for whoever got the chicken and fries last night!

We were visiting our son in Yukon from out of town. We had dinner here last night to celebrate his birthday. We had a party of 8, and our experience was fantastic! Our server, Logan, was great, and the food was exceptional. The favorite at our table was definately the bison meatloaf. We will definately be back next time we visit, and I expect our son and his wife who live in Yukon will be regulars.

Roommate and I went at lunch. We had the meatballs. She loved the sauce and me, the spices in the meat. She got meatloaf and rreally enjoyed it. My ruben was a good balance of all flavors. Great service! Place can get noisy. Not excited about the metal chairs. Side was grilled squash. Great smoky flavor. Must go at least once. Will go back for the salmon salad.

This was our second trip to Lokal. Both experiences equally fabulous. Food is amazing. I had the cheesesteak sandwich, wife had a rib eye. Both were cooked to perfection! Service is spot on. All the employees seem to enjoy working there, which helps keep the atmosphere relaxed and enjoyable. Perfect family restaurant.

This is a great place to get good homemade food. When going there I thought I out ordered my friends by getting the bison burger until they left me try their meatloaf and chicken fried steak. Man those were better then good. The meatloaf was grilled on a flattop to give it a nice crust. And the chicken fried steak had to have been hand dipped. Definitely worth the drive from OKC to Yukon to eat. Next time I'll drink the bar to see how good those drinks really are.

The Sunday brunch is great! I had the pork chop and eggs with hashbrown casserole for my side. The pork chop was cooked just right and very flavorful. The hashbrown casserole is my favorite side item. The service was great too. My only complaint is that the metal chairs are not very comfortable.

"Vegetarian plate= pick three sides and make a meal". Waitress could not conceive of not putting chicken on my cesar salad, and the chicken she schlumped on there was so full of salt it ruined the,salad even after I picked it out. My son had the meat loaf and it kept him up all night vomiting. May be a good place for many, but our time there was awful.

The Lokal Resturant in Yukon is a very nice restaurant. The service and food are both very good. The atmosphere is family friendly. My only complaint is with the bar-b-q sauce. Their bar-b-q sauce is spicey hot. They do not offer a mild sauce. So for those of us who are allergic to peppers, like me, or just do not like hot spicey foods there is no option. An alternative non pepper bar-b-q sauce would be a welcome addition.

Amazing Oklahoma food. Nice decorations as well. I ordered the lunch portion chicken fried steak and it was perfect. It was hand breaded and very tender. Didn’t need a knife to cut it. Okra was cooked perfectly and the mashed potatoes are homemade and very tasty!! I highly recommend this place. They have many beers on draft too. Great place to eat and I look forward to going back.

And a perfect, all fresh margarita. All very good... except mac n cheese, cool with the big noodles, cooked perfect, unfortunately just bland noodles, no cheesy flavor. Took a star for the mac, should be something they get right especially as everything else was wonderful.

Learned about this place do to my wife. Must say it’s very good. Banana nut bread is off the charts good. Breakfast chicken fry is great too. The homemade jelly was good to. Wife had the club sandwich and she liked it a lot. The banana cream pie...oh mama...save room. The lunch during the weekend doesn’t start until later in the day. Like 3:00 or so. All in all a great place for brunch.

The restaurant Is easy to find and has a great atmosphere. The service was great, however, the food was absolutely tasteless and terrible. I had a cheeseburger that was inedible. My wife ate a chicken fried steak and it was not seasoned hardly either. I’m not sure if this is a common theme or if we just had bad luck today.

This is one of those places you have to try if your a foodie. You can tell the owners put a lot of thought and love into this place. It's well staffed, and the service is great. The food was very good, with some different things to try. We had the fried devil eggs, fried pickles, catfish, bison burger, meatloaf and a veggie plate for plant based diet. All of our party was very pleased with the taste. Serving size perfect, not too much that you will have leftover. Bar drinks are good, with some you'll want to try. I had the Okie Sunrise? Well 3-4 of them.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the food but I ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS have to temper my expectations because of the service. I’m here now and watching people come in after my table get drinks and food order in before anybody stops by. This is how it is every time we come (we’re from Yukon and come in once a month) and it has been for quite some time. It’s not getting better. Food spectacular, service sub par EVERY TIME.

Keep in mind this review is for a takeout order. That said, this was a very satisfying meal. CFC with mashed taters (which were real) and mac'n cheese. All good with plenty of cream gravy to make it great! Add to that we had fried deviled eggs which are a game changer! Only place in the metro I've seen this. And believe me, @ 300+ lbs, this isn't body by salad and I know comfort food. The bison meatballs we different, not bad, not great either. I'd like to try them fresh & Hoyt out the kitchen (cue song). When I dine in I'll be back for the next review. Enjoy!

Really would not even give 1 star. Horrible service. Order was wrong. And still charged for their mistake. Burger and fries cold. No silverware. No drinks. When we asked for silverware was told they would have to roll it. 3 staff standing by the front door talking. Really a disappointment after all the hype. Will not be going back.

This was the second time I tried the Lokal. Both times were great! It was busy for lunch the first time, but even busier when I tried it for dinner. The staff was polite and kept us informed of when our table would be ready. Good food and drinks. Their Mac and Cheese is my favorite so far - it's so creamy! I love the little attached shop full of lovely sourced products!
