I had been coming here for a long time now and this has to be hands down the worst experience I've ever had at this location...food took forever, our waitress didn't do a very good job of keeping our drinks filled for the unreasonably long wait time our food took to come out, and then when the food finally came out my fried steak was very bland almost no flavor at all. Also my fries were so over salted I could hardly eat them and the potatoes were just a white tasteless paste... wife and I agreed we would not be back

They have expanded their menu and added brunch. Their chicken has a good flavor, not salty, and always served fresh and crispy. The saute'ed fresh cut green beans are my favorite side item. The service can be slow at times but to know ALL the food is cooked fresh when ordered makes it well worth the minor wait!

This place was tasty af. As a group we had an array of different meals and tried each others and everything was awesome. The one draw back that gives this a 4 instead of a 5 is the service...it was atrocious. Took us 30 minutes just to get the check, then she had to split it al even though we told her ahead of time how the meals would be split.

They have some delicious fried chicken & okra. If your from OKLAHOMA and you've been to Eischens ; there fried chicken is very similar especially if you don't want to make that drive to Eischens. If you like a craft beer with your fried chicken they also have a great beer selection at the Drum Room.

Service was impeccable! The waffles were extremely dry. I get that they are a chicken place and waffles may not be their speciality, but if you're going to have chicken and waffles. Make sure the waffles are decent. But like I said, the service was outstanding. Beers on tap were delicious. Easy to find.

I absolutely love the green beans! They are sauteed with onion and bacon YUMMO! It's $5 for the side which is pretty pricy but it's a fairly large bowl (enough for 2 people to share).

A step above Hudson's in cleanliness. The draft beers were not being served when we went, as something was wrong with their machine making the beers come out warm. There were maybe two other customers in the place. It was dead, even with the Thunder game on the big screen TV. Weather outside probably didn't help. Table service was good. Though we had an extremely long wait for what ended up being rather dry and mostly skin chicken wings.

I like the drum room. It's a cool place. A little run down and a bit over priced. I would love to give 5 stars, and on food alone I would. However, knowing that fried chicken takes about 18 minutes, they don't seem to prep for lunch. You will wait. It is just fried chicken.

Visited this restaurant in May 2016 and it was great, great service. Something terrible has to have happened between now and then, it is not close to being the same restaurant. We were barely checked on, ordered our food and was told it would be ready in 18 minutes. 30 minutes later we were told there was a large party ahead of us and we would have to wait for their food before getting ours. The restaurant wasn't very crowded, and in my opinion should be able to see that even with order time, it's probably better to get out small orders before the big one to avoid excessive wait times to accommodate all guests. An hour went by and we asked to get the food to go. About 15 minutes later we are given our to-go orders but no check, we really wanted to get home and usually you are given your check with your to-go order, so we had to wait even longer to get our check. A member of our party asked politely if they could do anything for us since we had to wait so long. In my experience, waits like this already come with a "hey guys, sorry for the wait, drinks are on us," at least. The staff was very aggressive regarding our request. When we got home, the waffles were under-cooked, the chicken was overcooked, and another member of our party got wings that had obviously been sitting the whole hour. The person who ordered them was sick after eating them. We will never be coming here again and would not recommend.

I tried this place for the first time this past week, and I wasn’t overly impressed with it. If you come here, I would honestly just stick to ordering the fried chicken. It was really good! Super crispy, salty, and fresh. We also ordered the brussel sprout salad, fried okra, and mashed potatoes and gravy. The fried okra was fine, pretty basic. I personally wasn’t a huge fan of the brussel sprout salad, it was served hot and I think I would have liked it better if it were cold. The potatoes and gravy were also basic. As another reviewer said, the potatoes were quite cool when served but the gravy was hot. After, we got the fried banana split sundae (which I didn’t get a pic of) but it was awful. The fried bananas were okay, but there was hardly any ice cream. It looked like a giant bowl of ice cream only to find out 70% of it was whipped cream and marshmallow fluff (we think). It wasn’t served in a cold bowl and with the fried bananas on top of what little ice cream there was melted almost immediately. Again, I would come here again solely for the chicken (it was great!) but the other food was subpar and not worth the high prices.

Arrived at 11:00 and the place was empty. We could hear people in the back. Less then 5 minutes after two people with big pots full of ice can in and apologize for being late. A little odd I might say. My beautiful wife and I ordered the Chicken fried Chicken. It came with mash potatoes, white gravy a biscuit. Mine fries and hers the okra. I can say everything tasted homemade. but the chicken was tough. Had to use a knife to cut it. The mashed potato where good. The biscuit was one of those thick ones, good flavor just a little thick. Was tough because I only got one refill off my tea and that was at the end in a togo cup. Fries good. But the star of both dishes was the okra. Very tasty with a good crunch. We would like to go back and try the brunch menu looks good and different. This place was clean and very nice. We just got a little bad first impression with the food.

My experience with the food here has been good but I’m always disappointed by the service. It’s just extremely slow. The first time I ate here, the service was bad and I thought that maybe it was just a bad night and I would try again. Of the other times I’ve been, the service has been consistently bad. The most recent time I went, it appeared the servers that were working were spread thin and trying to cover too many tables.

People rave about the chicken. I don't get it. I mean, yeah, it's edible fried chicken, but it's certainly not spectacular. Service is always good. Drinks are good. Clientele is uber trendy hipsters with awful attitudes.

The Drum Room appears to be a retro diner, with a counter and colorful stools, decorated with lots of lights, neon signs, pictures of old-school rock musicians, and drums, of course. I wanted to enjoy this place and my friend told me she thought the food was good, especially the chicken and waffles. I asked for the chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, and a side salad. There was a moderate crowd, so we had to wait a while for our food. When it finally arrived, we were both dismayed to find that my salad arrived with my entrée, which was a small fried chicken breast plopped in the midst of a large pile of mashed potatoes and drowned in gravy. Seriously, it appeared small on the plate and cost $12. Okay, that’s fine, but when I tasted the mashed potatoes, they were cold. They weren’t even room temperature. When my waitress brought another bowl of mashed potatoes to replace them, they were still cold, but they had simply made the gravy hotter. I tried to point out to the waitress that you can’t make mashed potatoes warmer by making the gravy hotter and she didn’t get the point. She said, “I don’t understand the problem, I brought your food within fifteen minutes.” That was wrong, but a whole other problem. I also tried to explain that a salad should be brought prior to the entrée so you can eat it before the hot food gets cold (I ate it after the entrée), but she didn’t understand that, either. The only item in the entire order that tasted somewhat good was the chicken, and it wasn’t chicken fried chicken. My friend, who ordered the Chicken Waffle Sandwich, and who has eaten at this establishment previously, said that the food that day was substandard as well. I left without eating even a third of it. I give the place two stars for the atmosphere, but definitely would NOT recommend this place for the food.

I decided to give the Drum Room a try after seeing excellent reviews on Yelp and Trip Adviser. I placed order on DoorDash. Here is what I had: 6 Mini drums with a side of Green Beans( Onions and Bacon) 6 Drum Sticks with a side of Greens Beans ( Onions and Bacon). This was some of the best chicken I have ever had! The fried drummies were crispy( Not too hard or too soft), seasoned very well. Not too salty at all. The chicken was not greasy when it arrived, not to mention the chicken itself was so juicy. They are very generous with the size of the mini drummies too! They are not like party wings. The drumsticks was AMAZING! Ive never had fried chicken that was dipped in BBQ sauce before. Now keep in mind the drumsticks were still fried, but the sauce accommodated it so well. The BBQ was smokey, sweet and had a little spice( Not too spicy at all). The Green beans were good, I would say that the person who cooked them had the flame too high because there was a slight scorched taste. Other than that I would give it a try. The bacon adds a nice salty meaty taste. This will be my go to chicken spot in OKC.

The food is really good but I’m concerned about some of their food safety practices here. Tonight, my friend and I ordered a fried okra appetizer. After fifteen minutes, our waiter brought out the okra and walked away. Two minutes later he came back, picked up our okra, said, “this was actually meant for another table,” and walked away. We watched him give our okra that we had eaten off of to another table. So, just be aware that an appetizer you order may have originally gone to a different table before it made it to you. Service wasn’t the greatest, either. Once he took the okra back, it was another fifteen minutes before we got our appetizer, and the app came out with our entrees. He gave us 15% off since we’d requested the okra come out first, but it didn’t really make me feel any better about the okra being pulled from our table to be given to someone else.

Mashed potatoes are magical, fried chicken is near the same quality as Eischens Bar. Chicken tender strips were moist and flavorful with perfect crust. My only complaint is that the prices are a little high but not by much.

The Fried Chicken is excellent. It isn't Eichen's but then there isn't that drive. The service isn't always consistent (sometimes it is great, other times it is just so-so, it's never been really bad though) but the Chicken makes up for it. The Chicken Nachos are very good, though I think a little pricey as are the fried pickles. The Chicken Tenders are pretty good and I think that's what they use to make the chicken nachos.

The chicken is extremely hot and tender and juicy, and the waffles are so sweet you don't even need syrup! I have been a fried chicken guy my entire life and this has been where I have chosen to celebrate my last three birthdays if that tells you anything! You should also order a bowl of fried okra as an appetizer, some of the best I've ever tasted :)

A must try for anything chicken when you're in OKC. waffle sandwich aioli is magical. Try the okra with whatever you order. Drink menu is good. Beer selection on point. Not overpriced, whole bird is 18 bucks and that comes WITH a full waffle.

Come to OKC every few months for business. Always looking for really good places to eat. Can add The Drum Room to my list. Fried pickle spears - excellent. Chicken was really good. Crispy, juicy, and hot (temp). Burned the roof of my mouth, which sucks, but good. Waffle was light and not overly sweet. Went on a Wed night so not busy at all. Great place.

Omg. I'm so glad I found this place! Ordered the horse shoe, which is basically a plate of gravy ladened crispy fries, gooey cheese, all on top of a waffle. So yum! But bring an appetite big enough to finish it, cuz let me tell you, with all that gravy it doesn't reheat well. That was my only regret.. that I could not finish it while it was still hot and fresh. Can't wait to go back!
