I'm shocked by the amount of good reviews here...we went for our first time about a week ago and im still thinking of how poor our experience was.we found bugs in our parmesan shaker first off.we noticed that the prices on the online menu did not match the prices on the menu(which when we got the check were also higher than stated in the menu,which I believe is stealing.)our portions of food were ridiculously small for prices charged,20 dollars for a tiny amount of spaghetti with unimpressive plating and flavor.we were told our daughters food was removed from our bill,but with the higher prices we were charged(compared to menu prices)they still took the money.so for an appetizer and 2 plates of basic pasta our meal was 75 dollars.fazolis has better pasta than this place.it was an insult to be charged this much to have bugs in my food,be lied to about pricing,have my money swindled from me and feel so cheated from what should have been a pleasurable experience.I have since ate at West and Patronos and would highly recommend either to someone looking for a great dining experience,I would never return to this restaurant,not even for a free meal.

Very rude employee(s). I was picking up an order, was checking food & asked lady why salads weren't in order. She replied that they were not ordered. Ok, no problem. Then told her that I wanted to order 2 salads...she repeats rudely that they weren't ordered. I said I know & that I wanted to add 2 salads to bill. Made a big production of having to make 2 measly salads. If food wasn't my friend's fave (who lost a loved one), I wouldve left order & walked out. No one there was friendly, not even the usual eaitress(unless you are a regular)...not going to name people

Great personal experience even with the chef/owner himself. Small environment with the most amazing Italian food I have had. Will not return to any other Italian restaurant unless out of town. Recommend to everyone.

The food is great at Papa Dio's, but I think my favorite thing is their customer service. On our first trip there about a month ago, the owner (or co-owner) greeted us and let us know how happy he was that we were trying them out. He made us feel right at home. Well, we went back again last night and the same guy greeted us and remembered us! That really impressed us. He also brought us free wine samples and made sure we had everything we needed. My second favorite thing is that the restaurant is divided into 2 halves, one for families and one for adults. It's really nice to have that option. Also, I would highly recommend their chicken Alfredo lasagna.

Great Italian food with a cozy environment. I reccomend the sausage lasagne. You better get there early on Friday and Saturday nights or have reservations. You can tell they have a lot of regulars because they were calling people by their names as they walked in the door.

First time visit and likely last. The salad served was wilted and half brown. I ordered chicken parmigiana and my husband ordered lasagna. The salad dressing was supposed to be Italian but had no seasoning, so basically it was vinegar and oil. The sauce on both our dinners was basically just tomato sauce with no seasoning. It didn’t seem like there was any basil or oregano seasoning at all on the food. I didn’t even eat my meal! The only positive things I can say about it was the cocktails were fabulous and wait staff friendly and fast! The only reason I would ever go back is to have drinks!

I travel a lot. I Always crave papa dios. You will not find comparable Italian food. If you eat here, be ready to be impressed and ruined for any other Italian restaurant. This place is the real deal. Ask for the Trieste sauce, on anything.

It was "ehh" but not worth $16 for a bowl of spaghetti and meatballs. To tell you the truth I'm not sure why it was so expensive. The experience? Nope. Quality? Nope or Quantity? Nope... I'm at a loss of words.

Long time family owned ITALIAN restaurant. Yes, you read that right, ITALIAN, NOT mexican. Nothing wrong with mexican at all. Matter of fact, love it. So much so, thats why I never trued Papa Dios. I have my favorites for mexican and wasnt changing. Donna was an amazing server. Knew about everything on the menu. Great recommendations. FINALLY! A real meat ravioli! No one else has it. Zio's doesnt and IG 86'd theirs a long time ago. I cant remember what everyone else had but there were seven of us, all had something different and well all loved it. Will come again.

Wouldn't have found it unless it was on Google Maps. We were just passing through OKC and decided on Italian. Didn't look like much from the outside but we went inside and the aroma was amazing. We were seated fairly quickly for being "walk-ins", they do also take reservations. Our server Matt was hilarious and at the end of our meal let us know he was a real comedian, seriously, hit up the Comedy Bin and see him. The portions were generous and delicious. We will be stopping by again the next time we're in town.

Horrible service. Food not any better. Chicken piccata was basically boiled in a broken sauce. We waited over 35 minutes just to get our salads. Only 2 tables at the time.

We took our whole family in to celebrate my father-in-law's birthday wearing our Betsy Ross and the American flag t-shirts. Papa Dios Italian restaurant welcomed us as if we were family. although it was Friday and we didn't have a reservation and they got us in very quickly...watching and seeing how hard these wonderful people work in the future we will definitely call for a reservation.

Amazing Italian food! We've been eating here since as far back as I can remember! Papa Dio's is often the bar by which I measure other Italian places! This is Italian food we had catered in for our smaller wedding with my husband's 1st generation (Italian) American father! Whether eating there in their nicer wine bar side, or their more laidback family style side, or ordering to go, the food is always on point and the staff is always curteous and helpful! (They've even waited for us to pick up our catering order on Christmas Eve with a snow storm).

We have been looking for a fantastic Italian place in okc for a long time. When this one finally came up and we tried it, we were not disappointed. In fact, we were blown away! Donna is super fun and right on time with everything. My wife and I love the wine list that Bill works so hard to provide. And the sauces, I dare you to try to choose. Just pick one and go back to try the others. I've had them all, and they are all quite tasty. If that didn't get you, try the desserts with a cafe. This is our anniversary dinner annually for good reason.

Family owned Italian restaurant with fabulous fresh baked bread and to die for lasagna. This isn't the Olive Garden so don't come expecting all you can eat salad and bread sticks folks. What you will get is your choice of appetizers, main dishes served with choice if salad, soup or veg of the day and all the warm bread you can eat. The prices are around $15-$20 a person depending on you meal. My husband and I had a great first experience and will be back.

Best Italian food around! The sausage lasagna and chicken picatta were delishious. The freshly made bread alone is worth a trip. Bartender made the best drinks. The service was very welcoming and personable. I highly recommend this place.
