Walked in around noon, stood in the front for around 4-5 minutes waiting for an employee no one arrived until the phone in the front rang. Sitting at out table, chips and (very watery) salsa were brought out, we ordered some queso which was good but I dont believe it was $7.49 good so we'll definitely get a smaller order next time. With my meal came two sides I chose the grilled vegetables and green rice, the rice was completely mush but the vegetables were good even though they included mushrooms, I'd actually say they were the highlight even though they aren't vegetables.

Iguana has a great atmosphere and awesome service. Come on Tuesday nights for a discounted tacos that are well worth the $1.75. We come every Tuesday night for tacos before class. All of the furniture and exposed brick really look good together. Also certain beers and margaritas are discounted on Tuesday nights. Very easy to park at.

I had the spinach and mushroom enchiladas. We ordered a small guacamole with bacon. Listen...the food is delicious but a little pricey. When you sit down you get chips and salsa, but cheese sauce is an additional charge. I was really looking forward to chips and cheese sauce but didn't want to pay extra. The guacamole was delectable. We had to ask for a 4 top for 2 people because the 2 top was so tiny. The service was ok...not excellent. I would go back for a special occasion. So, I would have given 5 stars if the service had been worth the price we paid. For now, I give it 4 stars.

Great place for mid-range Tex Mex. Flavors are unique with a wide assortment of dishes to choose from. Their happy hour is a go to for great prices on cheap eats and drinks. Order up; you can't go wrong. The only caution is ordering fajitas: they tend to be a little more singed than I would like. Still, I would highly recommend them!

Ordered through postmates. Food was delivered in an appropriate time and still warm . My issue with the food is that I feel like I paid way to much for food that was completely bland. No seasoning at all. The salsa tasted like water with a hint of tomato. The queso was clumpy and and also bland. Postmates also had Taco Bueno as and option which I think I should of gone with now. Would've saved a lot of money.

Came in today and the very first ambassador of the place (host) wasnt very welcoming. He didnt smile once and actually had a pretentious demeanor but given that we've heard of the place before and was in the area not long ago, we committed to staying anyways. The place seemed clean but a bit too warm inside. The waitress was polite and attentive though I never received a receipt for my cash payment. Just dropped off the change and went on her way. She was nice though. The salsa, queso, and chips were good but the Chalupa Nachos and Enchilada Chile Con Carne weren't. We added steak to the Chalupa Nachos and the steak had a strange taste to it as well as it clearly being low grade steak. The origins of the strange taste of the steak wasn't from the seasoning but perhaps the condition of the steak? Appeared passed its prime of freshness and tipping into the soured phase. The Enchilada Chile Con Carne didnt taste very good but I suppose that could be a personal preference. Potatoes and beans were the two sides to the Enchilada Chile Con Carne. In which the beans tasted half-heartedly prepped and the potatoes had literally no seasoning, not even a dash of salt. The best part of the dish was the diced avacado that was virtually untouched by the food preps aside from dicing and placing onto the plate. Maybe that's why it was good? More than likely we will not ever be back. Truly a disappointing experience. I hope they improve being that there is such a great opportunity with the location and already established structure.

The reviews looked like this was going to be a pretty good place to eat. The place was very busy. Was greeted from a friendly host and had to wait only a couple of minutes. The chips and salsa was waiting for us at our table. We ordered the queso. The salsa tasted very fresh and very tasty. The queso was ok. Very thick. I ordered the lunch cheese enchilada with green rice and pinto beans. I was very disappointed. I’m not for sure how they make there food but it looks like heat lamps/microwave are used. My cheese was burnt to the plate. Which I believe is not the fresh way to do things. The beans had a crust on top which is from heat to the top of the beans. I’m not for sure if I’ll go back. Every bite had that burnt cheese taste which leaves a bad taste in your mouth. I thought I’d never say that Chelinos was a better place another place.

Dec update: I just don't know where to start with this place. It went from a 5 star restaurant to a 2 star pity review.... First off the place was dead so we got in right away, they set us (4 people) at the long table near the bar area, which was great, not! It took at least 15 minutes for the waitress to come and take our drink order, we also ordered guacamole which arrived after we received our food a good 30 minutes after ordering, the waitress insisted that we would not pay for the guacamole since the issue was Iguanas fault. It also took the waitress 3 reminders to bring a bar drink to the table... Fast forward to receiving the tab, the guacamole was not removed from the check so we had the waitress remove it which she could not figure it out so we called over a manager for assistance.... 10 minutes later he finally was able to figure it out and had it removed. Not sure whats going on with the service of this place but OKC is growing and additional food choices are on every corner!

Their Cinco de mayo tent party is always a hit.The pork taco is my favorite!!! The elote was absolutely delicious. They had a bouncy house. All of the kids seemed to be having a blast. Also, it was so convenient that they had a card reader for the food. It made the process of ordering outside a breeze.

This place is neat. It is a little out of the norm to find. Well worth the stop. I ate the pork enchiladas with black beans and cornbread. I was unable to finish it all. They served a chunky salsa that had great flavor.

Got to be honest i would never go back i was there Sunday 28th 2019 there were maybe 20 people in there. They were not really busy and there were lots of staff there was running around like they were completely overwhelmed but i was the only person at the bar i sat down a girl helped me right away and got my drink and took my order. That was the end of service after that she went away and i was wanting chips and salsa there were all sorts of people rushing by me but they seemed so overwhelmed they would not make eye contact i final stopped so one and ask for it. When they brought it was the worst salsa i have ever had it was not even red it was so light and watered down didn’t even taste like salsa the chips were anything but hot and fresh I’m sure they were out of a bag. They would definitely be better off buying salsa then serving that. I did finally get my food the tacos I ordered were good. The rice that came with it tasted like it was out of a can, I ordered refried beans and got black beans they were ok at best. The atmosphere was very bad because every one acted like they had so much more than they could do they did not know how to handle it and the was only a hand full of people in there I can’t even imagine what a busy Saturday night would be like. Im not picky and almost never complain but it was really bad

I had the enchiladas with red rice and veggies. I've had better rice but it was not bad. Enchiladas were very good. Was told I could be seated in about five minutes. Waited five, saw a lot of people walk in behind us. Then was told that they would need to put us on a waiting list and it would be about 30 minutes. We left, drove across town to Cattleman’s, waited in line, and were seated way before the 30 was up.

It was okay...We went for a late lunch and it was pretty slow so we were seated right away. They brought chips and a tomato "salsa" to the table, which was okay but I like it hot. They did have two other salsa options and when I asked the server brought them out but didn't tell me it was an extra charge for each one. The food was decent and the server was attentive. Tables are getting well-worn and some (as well as the chairs) are a bit wobbly. Not a place I would go out of my way to visit but they have a huge tequila selection.

At first you cant even tell where the restaurant is. Unless you've been in the area before. I still was never greeted by anyone. I had to ask to get anything to drink at the bar. I think the one bartender was in training and the other just was closed off. The male bartender constantly had his arms crossed and never asked how anything was. I feel bad for the other bartender but was never greeted by her either. It was a Friday night and very empty in there. My buddy walked in and I had to call the bartender over just for him to get a drink after sitting there for awhile. There was 1 other person at the bar. ???. After sitting there for another 20 minutes we had to say we were ready to order food. We were never asked if we wanted to order anything. I got the tamale dinner. Chicken style. There was like NO chicken in the tamale. I definitely see why this place has such a low star review marks. Again these are just my own opinions and feel free to try for yourself.

This is kind of the hipster version of Tex-Mex and the first time I went, I disliked it as I was wanting more traditional Mexican food. The second time, however, I knew what i was getting into. Eating gluten free and Keto, their menu was very limiting. Their only real options were salads or 1 menu item without its 2 sides, but their chopped avocado salad was worth going back specifically for. Their menu is slightly pricey for the amount you get, but I didn't leave hungry and it all seems to be really good quality.

I used to love iguana grill but it seems it is on the decline...salsa is too watery and lacks flavor and spice. Selections were limited and basic. Something is a miss. For something different i tried the special, mexican lasagna...noodles, chicken, and cheese and not much else...disappointing

Iguana has a nice atmosphere and great staff, I just really wish there were more vegan options or accomodations that did not involve an additional charge. I ordered an avocado salad that came with a tiny bit of avocado. To make it vegan, I ordered with no bacon and no ranch dressing. Added salsa. I asked if they could add grilled veggies, but those weren't vegan, which is frustrating. They're vegetables! But they only grilled them in butter. When the salad came out, I was basically a lot of greens (which is great but not filling for lunch), and small portions of corn, black beans, and salsa, so I ordered a side of refried black beans without the cheese to also put on it and added some more salsa from the table. Of course, adding a side of refried black beans was a $3 charge on my $10 salad that already didn't include that many ingredients in the first place. I've had stellar, filling, robust salads that were worth $13 to $15, but this wasn't it. Stick to chips, guac, and black bean tacos if you don't want to eat animal products here.

This was a terrible first experience. If I could give zero stars, I would. I came for happy hour on Tuesday with 3 friends after work. Of course we got drinks With our food. I had one margarita and 2 shots. Towards the end of the dinner, we asked if we could buy one more round of shots for us at the table. Mind you, we all didn't have 2 shots, some people had 1. After we had asked for our last round, we waited 40 minutes and went back to the bar asking for our waitress 3 times. We went to the bar and then asked for her, and then came back to our table confused cause we thought our waitress went home. Around 8:30, after we waited 40 minutes, we go back to the bar and the bartender tells us our waitress isn't comfortable serving us more drinks. Mind you, none of us have had more than 2 drinks or 2 shots. We talk to the manager and he says, "our waitress isn't comfortable. It's up to her discretion"... the entire time, we're just confused cause she never told us she felt uncomfortable serving us more drinks. I basically told the manager that that's just terrible service and communication. If she felt that way, she could've told us. And yes, we are black engineers. Maybe it's cause we were black, but that's just ridiculous. I'm never going back to the restaurant. Ever. I was unbelievably angry afterwards because how dare you not even come to us and say how you feel. Like... we just wanted to have a good time at happy hour and it was ruined. I'm not even tipsy. I'm honestly shocked by the treatment. Do NOT come here if you're black or with a group of friends. They are biased and prejudice and they won't speak up if they feel there is an issue. Do not spend your hard earned money here. And do not see Laura. She is not capable of serving well, even though she is twice my age and supposedly had a liquor license. It's 2019. Get your stuff together if you're scared of black customers or scared of assessing customers that you think have drank too much. Absolutely disgusting and terrible service.

I read the reviews and thought this restaurant would be really good. But I wasn't truly impressed with this place. The atmosphere was some what neat but the food wasn't worth it. The enchilada meal was small when the plate came to me i was like this is it. Didn't get any chip's or dip even though someone on here said they come with every meal. The only thing I liked was the corn bread and I was disappointed that it was just a muffin.

Good, but not great. The salsa while fresh, was the blandest I have ever had; hardly any cilantro and lacked any heat. We started with a bowl of queso, which was velveeta with perhaps a bit of cream cheese in it? Seeing how I tend to like velveeta that's not such a bad thing, but it's slightly unimaginative for a restaurant. My Yucatan style pork tasted fine, but was served lukewarm. The store bought tortillas quickly dried out and became stiff; not good. The choice of sides are a plus. Pinto beans and roasted potatoes were quite good.

They start off by serving you two different kinds of salsa, mild and spicy, which were both delicious. I had the burrito which did not disappoint either. It's a nice local spin on Mexican and I recommend trying it out!

One of OKC's many "trendy" Mexican restaurants i.e. more hipster and less "authentic". It's pretty good, the space is nice and the food is decent and reasonably priced. Definitely worth checking out if you're in Automobile Alley.

Family get-together, party of 9. Expensive, I spent about $100 for 3 people. Food was delicious and the service was wonderful. The Classic Nachos were amazing, be careful ordering a double plate of anything. Husband will be eating shrimp fajitas for the next 2 days, there was so much food. I came twice in one week and on my first visit had a great experience! Super nice server who checked up on my table regularly and food was delicious and served timely. My second visit was completely awful. The server was rude, never checked on our table a single time (for cup refills or to even check on accuracy of the food). My table came in during a time that was not busy at all and we were not served as a customer should be. Very disappointed in my recent experience at this restaurant.

We had a large party that came in and no one had a bad meal. Everything was absolutely delicious. The green rice and vegetables are a great side to any meal. Decor and atmosphere are very modern and fun. Definitely recommend stopping in!

Bland and overpriced. Chips and salsa free and the best part of the meal. The menu discrimination was more enticing. Food fell flat. Fish taco was forgettable and the sides were flavorless. Service was slow and flat like the food. Atmosphere was fun with well done decor.
