This Restaurant is classified in the category of Indian restaurant.
Value for money with their buffets.... They under spice everything to cater to everyone's palate though... But if your craving for Indian then this is the place to be...
The variety of dishes for the buffet is little more. The food was not up to the best quality. May be it's just this Himalayas I have been to other himalayan store in Dallas and that was really good. the seats are torn and overall space is not properly maintained
Absolutely amazing. All that was a missing was egg curry. If that's my only complaint. You all should give it a try; your taste buds will love you!
Awesome food with authentic Indian taste. Friendly staff and good ambience for family.
We go here about every 3-4 weeks on Sundays. I like the food for what I eat although I haven't tried all the items. The service is always very good. We love Chai (sp?) Tea and it comes out right away. One thing I wish they would fix is the bathroom, it is in real need of attention, the rest of the place is nice but the bathroom really needs some 'professional' attention. The bathroom issue won't keep us away but I sure avoid it if I can...
Great place to eat. Very authentic and delicious food. The buffet is large with many options to choose from. They have naan bread, yogurt, mango ice cream, samosas, chicken, and many other great foods. As well as the great food they also have great service with their very kind staff. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Improved a lot from my last visit. The reason I didn't give a 5 star because, soon after I left from the restaurant, My new brand new jacket smelled like curry and I hate that. They need to work on the inside odor management. Also the restrooms don't have hot water supply I assume. It was freezing cold even though i spent like 5 mins for adjustments.
A paradise of delicious foods.
Good food decent staff place felt ran down..
Delicious food, outstanding service, and a wonderful atmosphere. We went here for the vegetarian options and loved it. Our waters were never empty. The staff was very friendly and always had a smile on their face. If you are in the area, don't miss out on the Himalayas meal experience.
I always get my parties catered by this place. They have a variety of traditional and Americanized dishes. I really recommend it for a family dinner night or a party menu.
This is the best Indian food! If you dont know what to order, that's ok! This is a buffet so you can try it all, and it is all good! The chat bar is on the weekend and worth the week long wait! I am not a huge fan of buffets, but this one is incredibly clean. The staff is super nice. Oh, and dont forget to check out their ceiling! Highly recommended!
Good for Indian food but the taste is ok. Not the best but maybe that's the level in Oklahoma.
We eat at mostly every Indian restaurant we pass by in 5 states. Himalayas is outstanding! Their sister restaurant in Tulsa is equally exquisite!
This buffet taste so amazing. Great atmosphere and the service is top notch. Your drink is filled before you can even finish.
Great lunch place. Lots of choices in the buffet.
This place is a delight! By far the best Indian cuisine in Oklahoma.
The food is not clean and not tasty at all.. My boyfriend and I came to dine in.. And we got food poisoning. Plus the food supoes to be warm but it was cold as f×××... Paid $30 for nothing.. This is not real Indian food... For rea... Thank you... .
So delicious! Excellent service
It's good though I don't like Indian food. I go there with the family because they love it and it's their favorite place
Best Indian restaurant in Oklahoma. The spinach pakoras are to die for.
Very good food excellent thanks.
food is great
The most authentic Indian restaurant I have ever seen in the USA.
Super delicious food. Very nice atmosphere. Excellent service. Food is very spicy. Truly with the genuine taste of India. So watch out for the aftermath !!!! If you like mildly spiced Indian food this is not your place.
It’s everything the other reviews promise. I went for lunch not realizing it’s buffet only during lunch, but everything on the buffet was delicious. The chicken tikka masala almost fell apart on my fork, the lamb curry was tender and delicious, and everything was full of flavor. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. I’d be willing to come here anytime I’m around Moore.
Good place for party's lots of varietys of food.if they reduce some items that's most people not eating and leftover and wasted. Replace pizza for kids that can drive more families to enjoy.
Best Indian food in Oklahoma. Clearly marked vegan and Halal friendly options as well. I'd give it more than 5 stars if I could.
This was my first time eating Indian food and I loved it. Thanks
Good standard dinner buffet.. can be hit and miss tho.
visit for tasty Indian food
The food is good but boy is it spicy! I don't think anyone had as many water refills as me that night.
This place can be very addictive. The food is superb. The tables are elegant. The service is excellent.
Lamb biryani is to die for!! So is the buffet. They give Dosas with the buffet. Don’t forget to ask!
Love this Indian food buffet. Employees are friendly and doesn't seem to have any employee turnover.
Good Service but poor food quality.
Great food with a really good variety on the buffet. The staff was very attentive. Overall great restaurant.
This was our second time here. It is good food. I wish if they had more meat meals. Check it!
Great indian food
Amazing dinner buffet with lamb curry stealing the show. Eat here asap.
Food was good I ask for spicy but it was not spicy.. service was expected nothing out of ordinary..
Decent Indian food. Expensive.
It was ok, good service but I'm not an Indian food fan. Loved the potatoes though. Definitely recommend going. Wasn't a bad experience.
The food was so good. The perfect level of spice. Food selection had a lot of vegetarian options. I wanted for nothing. I ate WAY too much. But I'd do it all again.
Staff is always friendly and the food is always great. The only problem I've found is that I don't have the self control to stop eating before I hurt myself.
Great Indian food with plenty of vegetarian options. Buffet is the best option as you can stuff yourself by sampling everything, but ordering is just as good as the taste may be more specific to your liking. Relaxing and open space with a homey feeling. One of the best (if not the best) Indian food in central Oklahoma. Highly recommend!!
More smiling and less frowning. Everyone wants to have good food and great service. They have one out of two.
Staff went out of their way to contact me to make sure that my order Was ready and would be fresh for me the food service is great
Best in Oklahoma. Great variety, very flavorful but not too spicy food, and fast service. Lots of sweet options too including mango ice cream. Always seem to have paneer dishes unlike other places - always a plus.
Himalayas is one of the best Indian restaurants in Oklahoma City. They have plenty of food items. The taste of the food items are very delicious. The customer service is also excellent. I did not like the desserts. The desserts taste was good but nothing special. The tandoori chicken and goat are my favorites.
Very spicy food, great atmosphere and friendly service.
Lots of great and tasty options. When I told them it was my first visit one of the workers took me on a tour of the buffet and offered suggestions and even helped me get started with a salad I wouldn't have figured out to put together on my own and it was really wonderful.
Everything tasted good. Everything. Even the stuff I thought I wouldnt like tasted good. The best was actually the goat. The seasonings were flavors I never experienced in my life. Also loved the naan bread and lamb kabob combined. Delicious!! So glad I went.
This is definatly the best indian buffet in okc
Fresh, good quality food whether off the menu or buffet (we had both options at our table). Service was very friendly and attentive. Food was on par or slightly better than Gopuram in OKC, but restaurant was cleaner, ambience slightly better, service probably better.
I've been to the one in Tulsa, this one is bigger, and had all the dishes that we like. Very nice if you wish to eat a plant based meal.
One if the best Indian restaurants in the OKC area. Definitely a place for lunch!
Favorite Indian restaurant!!! Highly recommend to anyone that knows great food
The food here is always good. I'm not sure what I'm eating sometimes, still good none the less.
Good variety of choices, nice wait staff, and halal meat options.
Probably the largest Indian food buffet I have ever seen. So many choices all the time, and everything is good!!
One of the best indian restaurants in OKC.
My Babygirl Desiree Neill loves this place cant get enough of it please keep up the good work ................. ❤❤❤❤❤
Great Indian buffet with very good service. I love to eat here.
We have tried many Indian buffets, cafes, and restaurants in the metro, and this is by far the best! You have to try their vegetable korma! Everything here tastes great. Their spice level varies day-to-day. They also have awesome mango soft serve ice cream
Love this place! Very good food and friendly staff
It's always great food, the food is delicious, the restaurant is clean, the wait staff is kind and fast to refill your drink! The buffet never gets low on food it's all around the best place to go if you want authentic Indian cuisine.
Great food at a reasonable price! If you’ve not tried Indian food and you want to, head to Himalayas! Their dinner buffet has an assortment of sweet and savory dishes, with vegetarian and gluten free offerings. The staff are friendly, the restaurant is clean, and the food is fresh.
The men who works they need to smile They looked like sour grapes And the bathroom needs to be clean
I'll probably be the odd one out... but I didn't like their buffet at all. my mom and I drove from Dallas to Ok city for some work, and wanted to try Indian buffet. Looking at their reviews, we decided to go there. But we were highly disappointed. There was no seafood, as promised on their website. We didn't like any of the chicken items. For some reason we found them 'sweet' in taste. Only chicken curry was reasonably okay. Even chicken biriyani was sweetish. I just took one bite of the chicken tandoor and didn't feel like taking another bite again. Food didn't feel fresh. Felt as if food was re-heated over and over again. Mango ice-cream and custard were artificially colored yellow. Was it just a bad day here, given that there are so many positive reviews?
Good buffet. Love the chats.
Delicious food and good service
One of the most visited Indian buffet in Oklahoma City area.
When I walked into the restaurant the smell of the food hit me and I knew I was about to have a good meal. The buffet is plentiful and authentic. They have a fully stocked Chaat bar (kind of like Indian nachos), vegan dishes, lots of meat choices and vegetarian options. The service was exceptional, the staff was friendly and quick to refill glasses and remove used plates.
The 2 stars are for the vegan mango soft serve. It was the only thing I really enjoyed without having to add Chile garlic sauce or one of the chutneys to add flavor to the dishes. I just expect more flavor in Indian food without doctoring it up. Surprisingly bland.
Might be the best Indian food I've had in OKC metro. Plenty of options on dinner buffet.
I loved the samosas!
Great variety of food. Buffet style. Super friendly staff and they keep the food fresh
Himalayas opened when one of the chefs at Gopuram left to start his one place. Himalayas Is that place. A wealth of traditional American buffet items, but some truly delicious surprises. Lamb kabob. Lots of tandoori chicken, lemon rice, many dishes both vegan, vegetarian, and omnivorous. Fresh, hot na-an, several unusual chutneys, and this delightful salad you can assemble as you like including Chick peas, samosas, something crunchy and savory in small bites, more chutneys, cilantro, and WOW your month will be happy until the next delicious bite. Good veg korma, crisp and hot pakoras. Now I'm hungry. Take time, and take friends. You'll have a wonderful experience.
Pretty good buffet on father's day. Variety and taste, both good
Excellent For Indian Food Test.....
Buffet has lots to choose from and is delicious
Best indian food in town!
Delicious food and very friendly people. My favorites are the Paneer Butter Masala and Gobi Manchurian.
Tasty with prompt service
Great food and service! A variety of foods to try and our kids even found some they liked!
Been here once during my Oklahoma visit. Good mix of north and South Indian food.
Not only are we huge Indian fans, but my wife having lived in southern India, are hard to impress. Himalayas, is a certain stop every time we are in town. Huge selection buffet with everything being wonderful
Excellent food, excellent staff! We love dining here.
No authentic biriyani, but taste of other food was alright. Deserts were better of all.
Nice environment. I did not like the food at all. It was my first experience with India cuisine. I would not be able to make an appropriate appraisal as I have never ate that kind of food before.
We ordered only veg biryani. Very tasty and nice service .. tidy and good ambience
Absolutely first rate! The food is fantastic, but be prepared some of it is spicy. The service was wonderful, my glass never ran dry. Which is something of a miracle, considering how much water I drink. The pickled lemon is a delicious accompaniment available on the cold bar. If you've never tried this type of food before this is the place to start. It is, well I'm out of adjectives. Hope you enjoy this place as much as we did.
Good food, wish it wasn't just a buffet
This is one of the restaurant serving Indian cuisines. The restaurant offers buffet having both vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes. In the weekends Indian chats are available. The dishes are really delicious. Some non vegetarian items needs to be spicy, but it is understandable that not just Indians, even others visit the restaurant. The ambience is good and there is a projector playing Indian songs. Overall my experience here was fantastic
Always a delightful culinary experience. The food and service never lets me down.
This is a decent Indian food place in Oklahoma. We’ve been eating here for almost a decade since they were in Norman. What we’ve liked is the consistency of the food. It has tasted the same. Ordered their poori curry and chole bhatura. The poori and curry was pretty good and the bhatura and chole curry was inedible. They usually give on round piece but this time they’ve give 4 tiny pieces like their naan bread. It looked and tasted like it has sat on their buffet all morning and they just wrapped it in foil and sent it out way. The chole curry was a shame. These people have always made chole on-point. This time around it was nothing but saucy liquid and onions. By the time you’re done digging for chole which is less than a handful of them you’re left with this sad and awful tasting tamarind sauce with onions. Sounds like we’re in search for new dishes or new restaurant. Wasn’t worth my money.
Apparently this is the only place that has 4 star food. But, the food is just average. I liked the desserts better
Very nice Indian buffet. Great food selection and quality. Service is very good.
I don't like it but I don't hate it also. Craving for gulab jamun is the sole reason to go there.
I didnt like it. The food was so bland. The mango ice cream was good though.
When I lived in Oklahoma, we used to go here all the time! I lived 45 mins away and would make the drive just to eat here! The place reminded me of India and the food was delicious!
Good buffet.
My favorite Indian buffet in the Norman/Moore area. I've been. Patron for years and will continue to be.
great vegan buffet and regular scrumdiddlyumtious
This place is by far the best Indian restaurant I've been to in Oklahoma. My family and I(mainly my daughter) eat here all the time. Great service and great food! We love it!
Was very happy with experience. Staff was friendly, food was clean and fresh. With new items being brought out every few minutes. Also nice information board to see what is going on locally.
Good Nepali and Indian Food !! This is the best Buffet around Norman.Service is nice and food is absolutely Amazing .The deserts are not so tempting but everything else is perfect.
We had the buffet during our visit. It's a great chance to try out a variety of Indian dishes and it's tailored to be less strong for those not used to the spices in Indian cuisine. They also offering catering and take out of single dishes with much stronger use of spices for those who are used to it. Great atmosphere and food, will definitely come again!
My point system: A star for freshness, one for being editable, one for wait staff, one for wow factor, and one for presentation. This review is based on my 1st experience at an Indian Food restaurant. So, consider that I've none to compare it to. Food was amazing, but the presentation didn't meet the colorful image of India that Hollywood has put in my head. I would definitely easy here again. 4 stars.
Wonderful first experience at Himalayas! The aroma when entering the restaurant is heavenly! The cuisine is authentic and delicious! If you love Indian food or have an adventurous palate you must try Himalayas!
Yummy buffet, always fresh and hot. Replenished as needed. Reasonable price. Ample, accessible parking.
Authentic Indian food ...
Best Indian food buffet in Oklahoma. Fresh food, excellent atmosphere. The desert is great too. Try it once, you continue to come back.
Best Indian food available nearby OKC area
Wonderful place. Best selection of authentic Indian food. Friendly staff.easy access from I-35.
Great food! We had two Nepal students staying with us, and they were craving food that was similar to what they were used to eating in Nepal. By chance we drove by your restaurant and stopped. I had not eaten much Indian food in the past, but our family and the two Nepal students all enjoyed the food and service.
Still delicious after a two+ year hiatus!
great place, great vegan ice cream
Neat and clean buffet. Nice atmosphere, doesn't seem like your typical buffet atmosphere. Many gluten free choices. Food is delicious and doesn't seem like it set out too long. Will be back!
If you have a taste for Indian food then try this place out! I didn't even know this food existed before I was brought here and wow was it eye opening!
They always have great food. It's a little pricey, but no more expensive than any other good buffets. They have a lot of excellent vegetarian and even vegan options for entree, appetizer, and dessert which I'd encourage everyone to try even if you're not vegetarian or vegan. They are seriously good. I think the biggest selection of vegan items is only available on Saturday though.
Nice Indian cuisine for food. Love the buffet. They have varieties.
Well prepared food buffet that's out of the ordinary. Service is more stoic than not. Not romantic. Just a good in & out change of pace buffet option for a competitive price. Cleaner than most comparable restaurants. Slightly outdated with funky decor.
The largest buffet of India's best foods. Love the spicy foods too
If you want an aroma —and a taste— of India, come here. Good food and very nice service.
Excellent Indian buffet. Beautifully decorated. Loved that they played Bollywood film clips on the wall. Each dish was very well prepared and seasoned.
Really a good place to eat. Everything I've ever eaten here is fantastic always fresh
The food wasn't that great. The gulabjaam was cold, and not sweet. The buffets were expensive and the food was not good. The naan was crunchy and the water was warm and their ice machine was down.
Authentic Indian cuisine, great variety. Welcoming staffs.
It's the 3rd time I've been here. The food is excellent!
Awesome food and service
Best service but food is ok.
Good buffet - nice choices, good flavor. Service was great
Food was very good and there was a lot of different dishes to choose from. Very cheap and you definitely get your money’s worth. Only thing I think could’ve used improvement was they were slow to add more naan when they ran out.
I love this place and go there all the time. Great food and service.
Delicious food and a great selection on their buffet.
This place has one of the best buffets around. Every time I go here I eat way to much but isn't that the point!? Food is always hot and the mango ice cream is the perfect way to end a meal. Can't wait to go back and gorge myself again soon!
Plenty of tasty options. Some are great (chicken masala), some are disappointing (veg korma). Love the mango ice cream. Could use more na'an on the table...
Very good food and service. The food can be pretty spicy but if you don't like spicy food there are options. On the weekends they have chet (I think that's the name). I highly recommend asking for a masala dosa. You get one per person will a buffet but you have to ask for it.
One of my favorite Indian buffets in the State! Had them cater my reception to perfection. Their weekend buffet is really fresh with an additional dosa thrown in. Also fresh mango icecream from a soft serve machine ♥️
You can find me here every year on my birthday. Great combination of Okie redneck and everyone else who likes Indian food.
We aren't very familiar with Indian food and gave them a try for a Sunday afternoon lunch. We did the buffet and it was really good, but some of the dishes are very spicy! Love the curry smell that greats you when you walk in the door. The host made us some amazing salads to help get us started on our adventure and explained a lot of the dishes. We were happy to experiment with a lot of the dishes they offered and they all seemed very good. Just beware if you are sensitive to spicy foods, but really worth trying.
The best Indian buffet in Oklahoma.
This is one of my favorite Indian food places in the OKC area. The buffet is very consistent and I always leave feeling happy. The service is consistently good too.
My husband loves it, a lot of different dishes. The dessert are amazing
Not the best but one of the good ones for Indian Cuisine. Few of the dishes lacked authenticity and tasted like westernized version of Indian food. Really liked the environment and inclusions like the projector playing South Indian Movie Songs.
This is one of my favorite buffets. Lots of choices and the food is really good. You can get it to go, too, which is nice. The chicken tikka masala and daal is my favorite.
The best INDIAN FOOD in okc. Friendly owner and great professional staff. 5 STAR RATING, delicious food.
Easily the best Indian food in the OKC metro area!
Awesome indian restaurant
Best restaurant gem in Moore! Food is always fresh on the buffet, select menu items unique to the region. Kudos the owner, managers, table, and kitchen staff!
Very nice lunch destination and atmosphere. Good food, fair prices, attentive staff.
Food was very good and nice atmosphere. Price reasonable for the offering.
I was so happy to discover that their amazing mango ice cream is dairy free! I thought I wasn't going to get to eat it, anymore. Thank you!!
Yummy, attentive staff, nice variety, 2 of us paid 32 though( tip included)
Great service and great Indian food. Present atmosphere and very clean. The buffet had a nice selection and the bread was amazing! I recommend!
Food was fresh and of good quality on the buffet but the seasoning was milder than I would like. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was very clean.
