I was gonna take a picture of my food but I ate it instead and WOW! This place is gluten free friendly and the wings they have are perfectly fried crispy and flavorful and served hot! This place is amazing! I am still sitting in the restaurant writing this review bc it's that good.
Great chick-n! Lot of flavs! A bit of fusion flavors with spices, salads and staple sides. I’d like see an expanded craft beer list-forget all the domestics! Quaint and cozy, tucked into the busy 23rd Street uptown district.
Been here a couple times and had pretty good experiences. Service is pretty good. Pretty clean. Atmosphere is decent. Food is good. The wings are definitely worth trying. This place is worth trying for sure.
Delicious! We really enjoyed the honey lemon pepper & Gochujang boneless wings! Great first experience .We’ll be back.
I visited here for the first time not too long ago. It was an ok experience. I ordered the ‘Nacho average chick’ nachos. It was warm, not hot as I was expecting it to be but were good. Then I ordered 12 traditional wings, half honey lemon pepper and half gochujang. I wish that it came with a little more sauce on the wings. The honey lemon was good, the gochujang was good too but came out really cold. My friends came out cold as well. My waitress took care of it and a manager came to check on us which was professional. Just needs improvement in the kitchen area. Not sure I’ll go back.
This place is great for eating there. Their food is really good and they have a great selection of beers with lots of TVs to watch games. Though, ordering online is a completely different experience. Tried calling in an order by they didn't answer so I ordered online. They don't seem to check their online orders. I got an email saying my order was ready, went there to pick it up and it seemed that they hadn't even started cooking my food yet and seemed thrown off by an online order. Got my food after 15 minutes of waiting. Then they rushed the order and got a lot of it wrong. Half of my wings didn't even have any sauce on them, some were just breading, and the fries were not their normal fries.
The wings were ok. Not the best and didnt really like the atmosphere as I felt like I was in a stranger's house instead of a restaurant.
Such a cool little spot! I had a great time at this new little eatery :) their beer selection was wide enough that even I found one I liked and the wings were excellently done. I enjoyed every aspect of my experience.
Best wings hands down!!!
Unique and delicious spin on wings!!
AMAZING doesn't begin to describe them. So delicious and inexpensive.
Ate there for the first time yesterday. It was good. Can't wait to return. The waitress was great! She knew the product and was vert helpful when our family asked questions. Highly recommended. The food tastes amazing?
Good food for great prices & awesome atmosphere
My description of this place: hipster millennial Buffalo Wild Wings. It's like a cute little local version. My wife and I enjoyed it and will definitely go back.
What are great little place for awesome chicken wings
Awesome wings and good local beer selection. Out of town travelers stopping through, quickly realized this was the place to be. Thanks Cheyenne for the friendly service and local knowledge!!
Some of the best wings I know of. I always stop here when I'm through OKC.
Always enjoy the local taste, I go at least 3 times a month
Its neat, the parking is bad and the potholes are worse. Food was OK.
I must admit the main reason I eat here is for the kimchi. It's spicy, without too much fish sauce or overly fermented. The house pickles are also terrific. My favorite sauce is the peppers galore.
The Korean influence in the menu was thoroughly enjoyed. Gochujang wings were fire, Kimchi fries were genius and the nachos were amazing. Good selection of beers and good prices. Also have cocktails if that's your fancy. Definitely a must if you're in the area.
Had a wonderful experience, chicken was crispy but not too crispy, it wasnt just all breading and no chicken which was great. Fries were perfectly crispy and salted, they flavors of the wings were great. The beer selection was also amazing. Will be back again, if you havent tried chick n beer, I highly recommend.
I like this place. The kimchi fries are a must try. Savory and fresh with just the right amount of kick. They have lots of sauces and they are awesome. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. This place does not disappoint. They have a nice selection of draft beers. The dining is casual.
lil spot bartender was kool chicken was moist cooked 2 perfection just. Need a l more seasoning
There's things we like and things we don't. First off its a cute space. Kind of minimal hipster workshop rumpus room. Full bar with a not very big dining room. The high tops are your best bet if you can get them. Service is always friendly. The food is fine but there are some less successful elements. The menu is tiny. It's chicken and a couple apps. The kimchi fries are addictive But for $8 the portion isn't very big. The star here is the wings which come bone-in or boneless. There's about a dozen different flavors. Some delicious others not so much. The Korean inspired Gojuchang is the best flavor hands down. Also really loved the salty & sweet "Mama's" flavor. Mango Thai Chili had a nice flavor. The Root Beer BBQ sounded promising but was kinda gross. I also didn't care for the curry flavor. It was weak and flavorless. Overall the place ain't bad but I wouldn't come here looking for anything mind-blowing.
Love this place the chicken and your choice of sauce is excellent
Excellent Customer service experience. Friendly and very professional. Also the food is Great.
Love the beer selection and the wings.
Highly recommend the root beer bbq with lime. Waitress was attentive & great. Awesome beer selection from Oklahoma breweries. Will return!
If we want wings, we go to Chick N Beer! (I wish the AC worked better in the summer!) Service is fast, drinks are good, wings are the best! Love their Salt and Pepper Fries! Never had anything like them!
Nice little cozy place instead of buffalo wild wings. More of a place to chill with friends and drink tasty beers.
Yum! Love these food!
Best chicken i have ever had is an understatement
I had the beer battered cauliflower with mango Thai chili sauce and the hot fries. Both were absolutely delicious. I am not a vegetarian but the cauliflower made me consider becoming one. The trivia night was fun too!
Amazing food. Best wings I've had in a while. Great prices!
Love the chicken and beer selections! But I’ve been in 4 times and have had bad service. We’ve sat at tables and at the bar. Usually spend about two hours in here (we’ve gone during the week when not busy) becuse of service being extremely inattentive (we can also see people chatting- which is cool if you have your tables covered ya know?).That’s my only complaint, which happens to be the reason we don’t come in often.
Love that they don't put thick flour coating on their boneless wingsm
I had a hard time drinking local draft beer.
Great bar food, good prices and awesome atmosphere
Love the wings here and you can never go wrong with kimchi fries with a side of ranch
This place is gross. Sticky floors, flies everywhere inside and the room temperature wings they served me we hours old.
This place has amazing wings! The mango chili wings are the best, staff was friendly and atmosphere was great! Recommended highly!
The BEST wings I've had in over 40 years of gluttony.
Service was terrible. Our waitress would disappear multile times, 20 minutes at a time. When we got our food half of it was cold. We would had complained about the food, but our waitress left for 30 minutes after bringing it to us. Sad part is they weren't even busy.
Ultimately sub par chicken at best. Drenched in the garnish of sesame seeds! The pepper and onion chicken was basically fried chicken with the garnish of onions and pepper not cooked in.The service was good though...
Place used to be awesome not sure what happened? Unfriendly and inattentive staff. Slow service. Flies everywhere. Used to LOVE this place.
Great customer service and wings
Price point is good. $ 15 for 18 wings. Sauces are interesting but the wings are really dry. Quite a surprised as this place is supposed to specialize in wings. Not likely coming back
Simple menu with a lot of flavor and beers, limited seating but was good experience overall.
We came for dinner. The traditional wings with mama sweet and salty sauce are my favorite as always. However, the waitress (she’s pregnant) was so rude. She yelled at me while taking my order, forgot my friend’s drink (without apology), rolled her eyes and gave us the look like we wouldn’t tip or something. I knew we were not the only ones be treated like that.
Never been here. Was nicely surprised, also- not all chicken and beer. They had other veg-friendly options like edamame. And wine. Which, should be the name of the next restaurant
Great service. Nice variety of craft beers. Interesting wing sauces. Cool building.
Friendly service, good wings, good selection of beer, and bad parking
Wings need some flavor
The sriracha buffalo boneless wings were bomb!
Best wings in OKC #truth
A great place to go... to get diarrhea. Make sure you leave a barf bag in your car. You'll need it on the way home. Enjoy!
TL;DR - Received the most overcooked chicken I have ever eaten and was charged $3.00 a glass for ice in my bourbon. The hot fries are pretty darn good though. Let me start by saying that I really wanted to like this place but... I just don't. I really never leave reviews good or bad and just keep my opinions between my friends and I but after my last experience at Chick N Beer I had to write a review. I went with a group of 7 people plus myself on Sunday September 23rd 2018 for The Office trivia night, we arrived at 3:30pm and it was PACKED! We stood in line for about 5-10 minutes to get our name on the wait list, no big deal as they only had one person seating people and only 3-4 wait staff that I could see. We got our names on the wait list and went outside to wait. We were seated about 20 minutes later again no big deal as we could tell that they were understaffed and doing the best that they could. Our waitress (I don't remember her name but she was great!) brought out waters for the table and took our drink orders, I ordered a bourbon on the rocks (remember that rocks part). She came back about 10 minutes later with our drinks and immediately took another drink order because of how long the orders were taking, we were ready to order food as well so she took that order as well, I ordered 6 traditional spicy Parmesan garlic wings and hot fries. She came back about 5 minutes later with our second round of drinks and all was well. about 15-20 minutes after that she came back with most of our food (one persons order did not get put in), I tasted the hot fries first as I have been to Chick N Beer one other time and got the kimchi fries and was not impressed at all, I thought that they were lacking in flavor quite a bit but the hot fries were packed with flavor (and the only saving grace to my food experience). The wings on the other hand... Were some of the most flavorless/bland wings i have ever had in my life, no spice, no garlic and I could barely taste Parmesan, they were also one of if not the most overcooked pieces of chicken that I have ever eaten in my life (I am an executive chef and know how chicken should be cooked.), this chicken was almost inedible but I decided to just get through it as I know how awful it is to be in the weeds during a service and have an order come back. I ended up have two more glasses of bourbon on the rocks (keep remembering the rocks), we ended our night after trivia and were just chatting when the waitress brought our check out. I thought $77 was bit bit steep for 6 drinks (my wife had 3 drinks as well) and a few wings but whatever. I handed the waitress my card and didn't think too much about it. She brought my card back and it was only then that I looked at the breakdown of what I was charged... remember those "rocks" in my bourbon? $3.00 PER GLASS!!! I can handle paying $6.00 for the burnt beyond being edible wings but paying $3.00 for a freaking glass of ice is absolutely absurd! Why is the ice water free but as soon as you put bourbon in the the ice it becomes magical ice that's worth $3.00 dollars a glass? I could go to any convenience store and buy a 10lb bag of ice for $2.00 so why is it that the people in charge of Chick N beer feel that they can charge an ludicrous amount for ice? I will end this way too long of a review by saying again that I really wanted to like Chick N Beer but just don't, but if you are going to go do yourself a favor and get the hot fries.
My brother and I came here during a pub crawl. I will say right now that the food is amazing! The servers also know their beers and can help with that. However, there were many hiccups that ruined the experience for us and keeps me from giving 5 stars. For one, after giving us our food (which took a while given how lukewarm the wings were), our waitress disappeared and I had to ask the bartender for a takeout box and the hostess for the check. My brother's Honey Lemon Pepper wings actually had no dry rub on it, but we couldn't get it taken back or ask for rub as our waitress was nowhere to be seen. She also mixed up his Peppers Galore with my BBQ Honey Red Curry which was not a pleasant surprise for me or my mouth. The food was great, but the service was not. In the future I'll likely be taking out instead.
Best boneless wings in OKC. I studied birds when I was 5 yrs old so I think my counsel carries weight.
Awesome chicken, excellent service!! Bone-in or traditional style, these wings are sooooo good!!! Be sure to ask to be seated in Chrystal's section... she's a dead ringer for model/actress, Molly Sims!!
The inside was packed full of people, but the waitress helped us out and got us seated inside. My pregnant wife really appreciated that. The buffalo sriracha wings hit the spot. Our waitress was extremely busy but did her best to check on us. Overall great food for your buck. I ordered 10 wings and fries. My wife ordered 5 wings and a salad. Paid about $25. So I'd say it was well priced.
Okay, try there kimchi fries! Then there root beer wings. Then there IPAs. Small place, big taste.
Nice change of pace.
Great relaxed atmosphere. We ordered the lemon honey wings and they were excellent. The pricing is good and the beer selection is great. Plus Mondays they have great deals on wings and drinks.
Something has changed:( This place(used) to be a favorite for cold beer and wings. Would have rated it at 5 stars when they first opened. Maybe it’s the flies? So many flies
We got the Nachos that were HUGE and were awesome. We got a 18 piece wing and all three of our sauces were awesome make sure and get the sweet chili wings. Prices were great too. Service was great will definitely be coming back!!
This was our second time here, first time was better because it was at night and crowded. We went on a Sunday afternoon, they weren’t very busy and they seemed understaffed with two waitresses and one bartender plus kitchen staff. There was …
I love the staff! Customer service is top notch. They always remember my order and ensure my food is made to my specifications....I appreciate that!! Hope your experience is as great as mine
Great food and beer - love the atmosphere!
Not bad. Not great. Could be amazing if they picked up their a*+×÷es
First time there, and i am not sure if i will go back. Once we were helped things were better.
love chick n beer.i always get good service
Food was easy bad or expensive just wish it came out hot. Should not sit outside, flies everywhere and nothing to stop them. Had to shoo flies the entire time we ate.
First time eating here, and I thought it was great!
Very good wings, apps and friendly staff.
Best wings in OKC. Fun flavors and quality of the meat is great, but you MUST get the boneless.
Best wings of my life. Great service and a great addition to the paseo district of attractions. I tried 3 different flavors and it was impossible to pick a favorite, they were all so good.
Best chicken wings I've even eaten here in OKC,This place is a hidden Gem The bartender didn't seem so nice but maybe he was having a day, but the cook or chef in the charge of the wings dont stop what u doing we definitely be back hopefully yall send me some coupons
Awesome unique food choices and friendly atmosphere
This place is as near perfect as I want in a quick restaurant. Food is deee-lish!
Best wings I have ever had, nachos on won ton chips were great as well. Will definately be back. Try the mango Thai chill and honey lemon pepper.
Really great! Quality chicken, good sauce choice and a great quality local beer selection. Sat at the bar at lunch on Tuesday. Great service!
Place is pretty good and cheap.
Unique wing spot with great local beer and cocktails. My favorite are the Red Curry BBQ Boneless Wings (typically i go for bone-in, but somehow these are better as i have tried both). The Spicy Gochujang are excellent. Get the Hot Fries, pickled cucumber. That chicken slider is killer!!! I think the local IPAs pair really well with basically everything there. Fun place to be, often crowded. One complaint is if you sit outdoors, flies swarm you and your food. That's oklahoma for you i guess.
Everytime I come in here to pick up an order, I wait at least ten minutes (In store) before I get it. Today I was going in to pick up my order and there were 3 people who came in after me to pick up their orders, of course their orders were ready before mine. And I had a 20 minute drive to pick up my order. So it's not like I had just ordered and was waiting. No, I waited for at least half an hour for my food before I had received it. I didn't have a big order either. Literally 3 meals. One of the people that showed up after me, that got their order before me, their order was twice as big as mine. Makes no sense. And happens to me everytime I order to go here.
This place is so good we come here all the time when we go on dates
Good sauce flavors on their wings. Only con was the waitress seemed a bit off, maybe uninterested is the right word. Service was decent, but she brought us our tickets and everyone wasn't done ordering drinks. She didn't bother just talking a moment to ask if we wanted something else. Still seems like a good place, would try again.
BEST WINGS AND SERVICE IVE EVER HAD IN ALL THE STATES AND PLACES I BEEN.... I DONT EVEN LIKE WINGS BUT COME HERE ONCE A WEEK... AT LEAST
The food that we ordered came out at all different times. my beer came out after our wings. Food didn’t taste fresh at all warm at best. Don’t sit outside unless you like to be swarmed by 20 flies while trying to eat your food. The water …
Food is good, location has virtually no parking. Service also takes forever... Took 20 minutes from our beer order to tell us they were out and another 10 after that. Go when it's not busy...
You think you've had good chicken? Had some tasty wings? Maybe your grandma has a great recipe? False. It's child's play. Your grandma's chicken doesn't hold a candle to this chicken. Imagine chicken wings covered with a bourbon teriyaki glaze or a lemon pepper rub and then sprinkled with the blessings of a thousand angels. Actual angels. They're real. That's this chicken. Welcome to heaven.
Chick-n-beer is one of the best places in OKC to get wings, and their draft selection is decent. I highly recommend the gochujang, garlic Parmesan, and teriyaki bourbon flavors. (And the kimchi fries are great too!) A couple of unfortunate downfalls: the design of the restaurant means if the place is full it’s VERY loud, making it hard to hear conversations at your own table. And sometimes if they are very busy the wings might not come out super fresh. All that to say, I still love this place. Just wish I lived closer so I could go more often!
Best wings I’ve had in the city! Lively bar atmosphere with very friendly staff. Cheyenne was awesome! Highly recommend!
Quality has gone down recently. You get 1 tiny dipping sauce per $6 tray of 6 wings. To get more sauce it's an extra $.50. This is really annoying that ya drop $30 on a meal for two people and they can't give you an extra sauce or two. We found a hair in our food. They replaced the dish and took it off our bill. The replacement dish was missing half the ingredients listed. Parking sucks.
Came in with family, we tried 8 sauces and several beers. Staff is friendly, but Duke truly made the experience. Assisted with fav beers to try, and above call of customer service. Truly the best little place to see on 23rd Street.
Great place to get well priced chicken wings in a variety of creative flavors and enjoy a delicious adult beverage while you're at it. Atmosphere is comfortable and casual and you can catch your favorite sports on the tv if that's your …
The wings are delicious here. I prefer boneless wings and this place has some of the most generously sized and juicy boneless wings of any place in the city. Friends and family all like the bone in wings here and the variety of sauces is …
Chick N Beer is awesome. Nice little place that feels comfortable, food is amazing, great beers and excellent staff.
Great food and I initially loved everything about the place. Lately service has been awful and wings were cold when I took a friend there after bragging about the place. My last visit they made me wait 20 minutes as waitresses walked by constantly just to finally be told there's a two hour wait and the empty table I saw was reserved...I find it highly unlikely they were booked for 2 hours with not a single person waiting except my group. 2 stars are out of respect for the food, which is good, but I won't be going back or telling my friends about this place ever again.
Awesome spot with even better wings. Not just your average wings, new and different flavors you may have never tried before! Also, a full bar with a great beer selection, what more could you ask for?
Wasn't able to dine there because they were having a " private party"
I love it! ONLY when I dine in. They need to work on their to-go orders. Everytime we order to go, the wings and fries are dry. I understand the fries but the wings? Come on. I do not reccomend to-go orders until they start adding more sauce on the wings. This is the last time I will order to-go. Everything else when I dine in is perfect. The service, food, cleanliness, and the environment are all great! UPDATE: After this response I decided to try their to-go orders one more time and I did not regret it this time. Their containers have changed making the fries not get soggy. I change my mind.
We love the boneless wings here. They’re obviously freshly made and the breading is delicious! I recommend the wonton chips and dips - such an interesting and tasty appetizer!
!Love the sauces!; they cover a multitude of sins. But this place is in desperate need for new competent management. DESPERATE!
Very friendly service. Decent local beer selection. Eclectic mixed drinks. Tasty. Food was off the charts. Very interesting wing sauces. All good. Blue cheese dressing not great. Ranch dressing is made in house. Pretty tasty.
Wings were a little dry and wasn't very impressed. My daughter really likes the place but I've had better. Prices are okay. Maybe they just had a bad day.
Great chicken and great beer selection!
It's decent. Worth trying out.
Seriously not describable go and thank me later. Also if you like a little heat try the gojujang.
Great food, awesome atmosphere.
Can't beat their Monday night specials. $4 hot wings. The mango Thai chili are the perfect blend of sweet and spicy. They also have cauliflower wings as a vegetarian option, which I have had in a couple different flavors and both have been great. They also have drink specials and awesome sides.
Excellent food, great prices. Nice beer selection.
This used to be a five-star experience. for the last 4 visits I have been completely disappointed at the quality and consistency of food. I've hesitated writing this review because I want to have faith and local businesses with good practices, however, obvious short cuts have led to shortcomings in what used to be the best chicken wings central Oklahoma City. In this last visit I requested that we wings be extra crispy, as they used to be and as they are advertised on their menu. When we received the wings within 2 and 1/2 minutes of ordering, they were room temperature or colder, the sauce was obviously drenched on top of them instead of tossed, there were multiple wings that had a jerky like texture from having sat out for who knows how long, the french fries were topped with fresh french fries and the bottom was coated with extra greasy hard to chew old French fries. I would expect from any place that specializes in a dish, that they would cook to order, but it seems that we paid full price for what was an anticipated dinner rush that did not flesh out. Food costs are obviously a factor but that is not my problem, I would rather wait or fresh food then be served quickly with mediocre offerings.
Delicious food and good selection of draft beer. Cant beat $4 Monday. Evenings can be very slow service. The spicy sweet potato waffles were so freaking good!
Great food, my husband would give them 7/5 stars if he could. They also have vegetarian options which is amazing.
Chick N Beer offers up an awesome Korean/beer joint/wing restaurant. The sauces offered are delicious and unique. Service can sometimes be spotty but the food is worth it. In the fall the patio is a great spot to enjoy your wings.
I was a little let down by the fact it's just a wing place. I was expecting a fried chicken place with beer. I'm sure the wings are good...I had an order of fries. Definitely not a traditional bar food type place. A lot of Asian infusion wing...stuff.
The energy is great...mood awesome my friend and I went had a couple drinks...vibeing had a great time and i intend on going again....parking can be hard to find too...its better to uber or lyft there...
Had the boneless chicken wings. It was tasty. You could tell that the big chunks were chicken breast cut up. The waitress never brought my beer and so my first visit left me a little unsatisfied. Will try again another day.
This little gem is just that. We love coming here on Monday nights for the special, $4 wings and size. The rootbeer bbq is definitely worth trying, as it's one of my favorites. The kimchi fried will not disappoint either, so make sure to try those too.
Really good food and friendly staff, but terrible air conditioning and awful wait times.
Amazing food and service!
Absolutley love their food. Patio was amazing and service was great. Love their local beer selections!!
Have tried this place twice. The wings are awful and have hardly any meat on them. Mostly gristle or breading or whatever they cook it in. Stick to the beer, and get your wings somewhere else. Couldn’t be more disappointed.
Food was delicious. I had the root beer bbq boneless wings and spicy sweet potatoe fries and the apple crispin drink.
My husband and I stumbled upon this place on our date night. The food was AMAZING. The flavors were insanely good. The chicken was cooked to perfection. Everything was very fresh. Definitely try the nachos. They are a great amount and so delicious. The staff were all so kind and cheery. They were extremely attentive. Not to mention the establishment very clean, very open and fun. We look forward to coming back. Thank you ladies!!
Really great wings with an eastern fusion. Just the flavor I was looking for! The prices are fair and they have a great selection of beers! The French fries were lack luster, was really expecting some great fries based off everything else, but fries aren't what you're coming here for. Definitely will be can to try more flavors!
