Excellent service, the owner walks around making sure everyone is satisfied and pleased with there food. The servers are very friendly great hospitality and service at this place and not to mention the food was well season and had alot of flavor from the rice,beans and meat everything was flavorful. The drink where made to perfection they were not to strong but we'll balanced. You can tell that we're not water down and it only took on Margarita for me to get buzzed . That was my first time experience I love this place ❤️

First time at this location and I wasn't disappointed. I ordered the 3 meat fajitas. I could hear and smell my food before it got to my table. It looked good and tasted better. Our waiter was pleasant and every other staff member was smiling. I will recommend and will go back.

This place has really gone down hill. Used to be my favorite, definitely no more. I had a hair in my margarita, no offer to fix it, the waiter just pulled it out. I lost my appetite but was charged for drink with hair and food I didn't touch... waiter kept joking about hair in it, but was nasty not funny!

Delicious as always and it was a pleasant surprise to see Armando today. He has always gone out of his way yo treat our family like family. He would always say "No menus,NoMenus! I will surprise you with something delicious." And he would. Soon the table would be covered with items not found on the menu . Now those items are on the menu and we only see him on rare occasions but the food never disappoints. Hefner and May is my favorite location. Best food best service.

Chelinos never fails in food or service! Our favorite menu items are the Tacos al Carbon, Beef Quesadillas, Beef Enchiladas and Tortilla Soup!! The food is absolutely amazing and the wait staff is very friendly and provides great service. The manager is awesome and runs a nice tight ship! My family and I are always pleased whether we dine or have a to go order. When you have consistently good food and service it keeps people like us coming back time after time !!!

I did not look at other people's reviews of this restaurant until well after I ate there.My perception is that almost all reviews are exceedingly high (as they should be) and a couple clueless people have access to the internet and likely never liked anything ever. Forget about the clueless ones and believe the 98% that love this place. Fantastic food, fantastic service.

Tasty food at a reasonable price. The staff is attentive without being suffocating and one of the actual Chelino brothers is the manager at this location. My order was to go this time and my server Johnny had it out in about 5 minutes. Great place.

Nice little Mexican restaurant. This is not my favorite Mexican place but you will have a good experience here. The first time I came I felt as though this place was very average but my second visit here definitely raised my opinion of this place! The food tastes better (I ordered something different) and the service was quicker and more friendly! If you havent tried this place and you live in Edmond give it a shot!

My wife and I were having a particularly tough day and decided to stop for lunch. Ramon was our waiter and in minutes he had us laughing and smiling. In addition the food was great as usual. We also had margaritas that Ramon made that were to die for. Lastly I would recommend trying the Mexican Apple Pie for dessert.

TLDR: Extortion with a smile. High Prices, vague menu without pricing. One of my favorite aspects of Mexican food & Mexican restaurants is that when you want something quick, light, and affordable you can always count on getting a quick taco and a coke, and maybe some chips and salsa for under $10 without having to go get an entire meal. Unfortunately, Chelinos doesn't agree with that at all. I went in, sat down, ordered myself a coke and was surprised that they left me a menu, chips, salsa, queso, and tortillas right off the bat. Initially I was very impressed to get such great complimentary snacks right off the bat. Usually you just get some salsa and chips- which is enough for me. I ordered myself a beef fajita taco with guacamole and figured that would be a good light lunch with some chips. When my taco arrived it was 3/4 lettuce, 1/4 beef, and they forgot the guacamole I asked for. I flagged down the waiter and kindly reminded him that I asked for guacamole, and he was very kind and apologized and ran off and got me a spoon of guacamole on a saucer which was just the right amount for my one taco. Unfortunately, when the bill came I was charged $4.99 for a "Setup" fee of the chips, salsa, queso, and tortillas.... which was my first rude surprise... I wasn't asked "Would you like X,Y,Z for $4.99?" They just dropped it off and expected me to pay it. Next my lettuce- I mean "fajita" taco was $4.99 mind you it was barely above street taco size, and I only had one. I can't argue with them about being overpriced but they didn't have any pricing for individual tacos, which is weird for a Mexican restaurant. They added a $1.99 charge of "Side of Guacamole" to my bill... I addressed the manager and I said "Sir, we have a small mistake on my bill. I ordered a fajita taco with guacamole on it, the young man forgot my guacamole so he brought me a spoon on a plate with guacamole, but I don't believe that one spoon of guacamole counts as a "Side" worth $1.99. He disagreed and said that guacamole is an expensive side. I asked if they charged $.199 if I added guacamole per taco, and he simply said yes. Again, I can't argue with how ridiculously high priced they made a single spoon but when you can get a small bowl for $3-5 a single spoon shouldn't be $2. I also argued that they can't charge me $4.99 for food I never ordered or asked for and that they just dropped off the moment I showed up. He told me that because I didn't order an "entree" I have to pay for the chips, and salsa. 2 stars because the waiter was kind, and the food was good. Pricing, and manager were awful.

My family and I had lunch here for the first time a few days ago. Service was okay. As soon as we got home, we all started throwing up. I don't know what was in the food, but we were all very sick. We had burritos, and enchiladas. We spent a pretty good about to eat here but were very unhappy with the results.

If we're in the mood for Mexican this is our place no questions...It can get really busy inside but I mean when a place is this good, I mean it's going to be busy. I've eaten at Cheminos other locations. This meal made me not want to eat at any of them again. Service was good. But food was not.

This was one of my most worse experiences ever at a chelinos. I ordered a Margarita and they bought it to me. It tasted and looked like they made it with half water. Then we got tortillas and they had mold on them. And last but not least we finally received our food. And I happened to find a piece of hair in my rice. I mentioned it and showed it to the manager. And told him I wasn't please with my service nor food and I ask for my ticket. And he got an attitude and through it down on my table. The worst service I have ever had. I will never eat here again!!!

Normally it is a good experience, but the waitress we had was very intrusive. She wouldn't acknowledge my fiance. She never once asked her for a refill but would refill mine and our son's. She didnt give her a straw and when she asked for one she replied with oh there is one the table but there wasnt one for her. Only to reply with honey or hon rudely to my fiance. After I was done eating and our son she she immediately was clearing the table even she wasnt done eating and brought the check and even brought a extra dessert even when I said no. The waitress's behavior was aggressive and rude. Regardless of how the waitress thinks she will get a tip from the main person paying.

Just had dinner at this restaurant and I am not happy with the service. The guy at the counter was nice but for some reason the waitress did not like me very much. I didn't understand the reason for it but ignored the way she was treating me until I spotted meat in my food when I had requested her twice to make sure there was no meat in my dinner. It can be an honest mistake, so I informed her about it and expected her to apologize and offer to replace it. Bur her response surprised me. She basically said a quick sorry, smirked and brought us our check. We paid for that meal and left but I am very unhappy with the way we were treated.

I think just about the best location around town. My first choice if I'm going to Chelinos. Seating is still odd, but better than most other locations.

We went to Chelino's on N. May on a Sunday night. We were greeted and seated right away. The restaurant has attractive, rustic Mexican decor and is immaculately clean. You don't have to sit there staring at someone else"s dirty dishes for an hour. They clear and clean quickly. We were served drinks, chips, salsa, queso, and tortillas in a wink. We're vegetarian and ordered the cheese enchiladas. They were deliciously cheesy. The meal was topped off with a delicious sopapilla. Our server was just the right amount of attentive. He was so good that he could give lessons in politeness. Everyone who works there is cheerful and seem to really enjoy there jobs. I saw one waiter dance a jig to the upbeat music while in front of the ticket making machine. The manager quipped,"See you tomorrow, okay." as we were leaving. We had FUN at a very reasonable price.

I ordered take-out chicken fajitas deluxe nachos for a total of $11.94, plus I left a $2.00 tip which you don't have to do on take out so $13.94 and they didn't have enough chicken on the nachos to equal a half of a chicken breast!! Tasty yes, but too skimpy on chicken. Don't order nachos takeout you will be disappointed. I was mad. Tons of chips on the side but not enough salsa. I hope dine in is better?? I won't take a chance on it...

I paid $12.90 for a Fajita beef Quesadilla lunch, when it was brought to my table, the quesadilla was the size of a taco.. It was pathetic.. I wouldn't even waste my time going back..
