Birthday lunch here today. Nice layout. I love all the plants. Service was exceptional. Food was works of art.
Mediocre and overpriced at best. Ate here twice several months apart. They're trying too hard to be different with ingredients and the results are bland, greasy food.
Good flavorful food. Fresh and made to order. Not your run if the mill Mexican food.
It's just simply delicious. The fajitas are delectible. I recommend the steak, but the chicken are delicious. When it comes to drinks, the Magarita de la Casa is phenomenal, with a black salt rim. Highly recommended if you are in Midtown and like actual Mexican food with a modern wood-fired twist. Oh, and the broccolini will blow your mind.
Nice atmosphere and the staff was very friendly and informative. Patio outside is very nice and wind-protected, I can't speak for indoor seating. Queso and chips and the salsa were both very good. Taco salad was very good but the short rib enchilada was very unremarkable. Food definitely seems very well made even if it doesn't quite taste like it sometimes. Easy recommendation if you like Mexican in OKC, 4/5.
This is a great place for fun drinks and appetizers. I haven't been wowed by their dinner options. I do, however, love going with some friends to grab a few drinks. Perfect Summer spot!
I had a great lunch. The food was great. Mika gave us great service and the price is pretty good. The food came out quickly. Great experience start to finish.
First time here. Food was amazingly delicious. The street corn was wonderful. Great atmosphere fun environment. Our waiter was Billy and he was great. Very knowledgeable and took the time to make sure our first visit was perfect
I really like the food here, but it is just a bit expensive. Service and atmosphere are great. I’d go back for the right occasion. The chips and queso are good. The lamb barbacoa tacos are worth it for sure
First time visit. Very trendy place full of millennials. Was told it would be at least an hour for a table to open. We would up only waiting around thirty minutes on a crowded Friday night. Started with some appetizers while our server prepped our drinks. The queso with chorizo was yummy. We ordered a variety of entrees. The fish tacos were delicious, the chicken fajitas were tender, the sauce on the cheese enchiladas tasted smoky but not overpowering, even the kids chicken fingers drew high praise. The only drawback is the noise level was so loud it was difficult at times to hear the server or each other. Next time we will request to be seated at the outdoor patio.
For social time it’s fantastic, the food is very tasty. Portion size is nice. I have tried several dishes here. I haven’t been disappointed yet. The patio is my favorite spot.
Amazing atmosphere but the food is quite bland
Not very good. Great waiter. Food not good.
Love this place! On my list when I'm traveling for work. Good food, good price!
Eh. I have tried barrios twice and feel that’s enough. The hostess was confused we were there... the server took so long that the manager took our drink order and brought us our waters, she also ended up being the only one to refill those waters and to bring us to go boxes. The server was nice, she just seemed very busy, so I understand. The chips and salsa were good and I am happy they have a couple of vegan options, but the food is mediocre at best, and way overpriced. I have had their alcoholic drinks and they were great, I don’t mind the drink prices and atmosphere, so if I return it will be for that!
The food was horrible!! Nothing traditional about this place and good reviews are wrong if you're looking for good food keep driving but if your looking to hang with a bunch of yuppies this is your spot! Yuck!!!!
The avocado margarita was amazing! We got one while we waited for our table after we were told there was a 45 min wait. We ended up waiting over an hour and every time we checked to see if we we would be seated soon, they told us “shortly.” Long story short we never got seated and ended up leaving. I was visiting my brother for the weekend and we were excited to try out the place after hearing great things; however, we ended up wasting a chunck of our night sitting around waiting for our table.
The food was fantastic! There was excellent service given by the staff. Everyone was very friendly and warm. Some would be very playful and joke with the customers. Overall, enjoyable.
Delicious and authentic Mexican food. The fried churros and ice cream is a must-try! The chicken enchiladas were great.
Lovely atmosphere. Good service. The chips were thick and the salsa roasted and fiery. Get the fajitas, mixed - the slaw is interesting and worth slathering down on your taco.
The food was kind of bland. Great colors but tasteless. Husband got some tostada w brisket and it was not very appetizing. I did enjoy the chips and salsa and the corn but that was it. It is a little pricey. The service was amazing!! I will not visit again.
Barrios has a less than traditional menu! I had a mushroom sopa. It was amazing! With a blend of sweet potatoes, mushrooms, slaw, guacamole (which by the way the guacamole is so worth ordering just guacamole as an appetizer) A fabulous slaw in a tasty, almost authentic fry bread wow the combo of flavors each one complimenting the other exploded in. My mouth deliously! The wait staff was great. Very attentive. Though the place was busy, we had reservations for 10 They brought chips and roasted peppers salsa yum! All our orders were precise and every thing I tried was delicious. There is handicap parking out front and easy access. Clean bathrooms. All round great expirence
Best customer service ever, will come back again and again!
Good food. Good drinks. Tacos are great!!
Disappointing. I had heard such good things about this place so I was excited to go. We both ordered fajitas, me the steak and my friend the chicken. Her chicken was so dry it stuck to roof of your mouth. Mine were great but still, there are so many good food choices in Oklahoma City I won't be going back.
I have been here several times and always had a great experience. The patio is wonderful and secluded.
We were seated rather quickly in this trendy place on a Thursday night when they were packed. From there we experienced excellent service. The food we got was very tasty. The name fits the bill -- "fine" Mexican Dishes, and you do pay for it. Our dinner for two exceeded $60 which included a couple of drinks with our meal. That being said, our plates were packed with very good and creative food, but it's almost too much really. I mean, are little sprouty weeds necessary to garnish a $12 chalupa? There wasn't much meat on the chalupa as I thought there should be for the price point thought it did taste really good. The chips were very heavy but salsa was excellent. Now I can't put my finger on it, but for some reason when we left our experience I still had some desire left. That being said, you could tell it's a very popular place.
I had the nut kale salad, added salmon it was excellent together. I also had the avocado rita, plush!
Barrios is great if you are looking for upscale Mexican or a place with an awesome atmosphere and a chic menu. The restaurant is super popular, so on weekends it can be hard to get a table (especially if there is something going on in town) so plan accordingly. Every dish I’ve tried there is excellent, and I’m a big fan of the frozen avocado margarita.
Great food, great atmosphere and great service! Thanks Monica!;)
Energetic friendly feel to the location and the servers. I got to try several of their menu items when I was there. I've gotta go back & try them all ❤ Oh & for my fellow sangria drinkers: do NOT leave there without trying theirs. I would go there again just for that!!
Fantastic menu. Not many places brave enough to make tamales, let alone sopes... great atmosphere. Look forward to my next visit
Very high quality food, with friendly wait staff. Super quick service, although the waitress told us that the kitchen was in top of it today, so service may vary. But overall, extremely satisfied with our visit.
Excellent choice for Mexican food. Creative edge to traditional entrees. Beef short rib enchiladas with mole negros sauce were really good. Street Mexican corn was delicious. Wide range of drink choices. Very attentive service . Check out their website. Highly recommend.
We had a waiter who’s becoming a doctor soon And made our whole experience incredible. She gave great recommendations and even shared with us the history of the restaurant chain. Great time, great food, great experience. Try the guacamole! It’s sooo good.
The staff went out of their way to insure a wonderful meal and service! Maggie brought it home! Great menu that is definitely designed for the eclectic tastes of Mexican flavors. Look forward to our next visit!
Love it! Friendly staff, great environment, and amazing salmon!
Myka was amazing she was attentive to all her guests she had. Thank you
I got the vegetable fajitas with black refried beans. The mushroom fajitas were great. I also got a charred serrano pepper that was so freaking hot (in a good way). But there were also sweet potatoes to balance out the spicy. I'm not a big fan of the tortillas; I think I'm just too used to the thick and fluffy flour ones.
I absolutely love this place. It is a bit of a unique menu and not cheap. However, the ambiance makes it a total hot spot in OKC and I always bring guests here. The patio is AMAZING. Nachos, kale salad, drinks all amazing.
The service was excellent and the resturant was very nice. If you like the Tex-Mex style of cooking you will love this place.
Best chips and salsa I've ever had
I love Mexican food and this place does not disappoint. Flavors are unique and fused well with each dish. Chips have great sized air pockets and the salsas are fresh.
This is a great place to have a meal if you are looking for something different than most Mexican or Tex-Mex food you find around here. Definitely a gem. The dining room is chill and they have a nice patio. Service has always been great.
Awesome food, friendly staff, and relaxing atmosphere. Definitely recommend for a change in your restaurant. Food was fresh and cooked to order. Give them a shot!
I dined at Barrio’s with three coworkers for dinner. I had heard great things about their cocktails and frankly, was disappointed. The pineapple margarita didn’t have a pineapple taste to it. Tried their special drink of the day next which was even worse; it tasted like cough syrup. I am happy to report that I loved their salsa- it has a smoky taste which is my favorite. I ordered their nachos which were massive and very tasty. This is not typical, run of the mill Mexican food. It is a place more for “foodies.” Some of my coworkers were not fans of their food. I personally enjoyed it but doubt I would have cocktails there again. They are also pricey (about $10), so for that price I would like it to be palatable.
Food, service and restraunt decor was excellent!
The location is very pristine and the overall aesthetic is very pleasing. The staff and service were great which were comforting. The chips were great the salsa wasn't bad either. The menu seems pretty diverse and well rounded and came hot and fresh. I was a little disappointed in the speed and flavor the food I sampled. There was not a lot of bold or deep seasonings which made the dish kinda flat. The pricing was not bad given the area and parking fills up fast. A very accommodating place for a light meal.
Service spectacular! Food incredible! Environment/motif stellar!
Creative menu. Great service.
Good food and nice service. Parking is not easy to find.
Excellent food. Delicious nachos and pork enchiladas. Very nice interior seating along with great outside patio. Service was impeccable. We'll be going back soon!
Our waiter was William and he was very knowledgeable and attentive...very good food and overall experience. Will come back
Staff was great. The lady behind the bar was really nice and helpful. I ordered the lamb taco with Mexican corn as a side. Presentation of the plate was great and the food was perfect. The meat was seasoned just right. The only complaint I have is the chips and salsa. The chip's seemed a little to thick and the salsa was a little off. But I wouldn't mind eating there again.
Great atmosphere, and solid looking dishes, but aggressively mediocre food. If you know good Mexican food you'll be disappointed. Really the cardinal sin was the poor salsa.
The perfect place for upscale Mexican food. The restaurant was very chic and cute. Service was exceptional and staff was friendly. I ordered the sangria which was good, very refreshing to pair with me meal. I ordered the mushroom tamales with sweet corn, coleslaw, and brussel sprouts with sweet potatoes. I enjoyed everything about my meal. I would definitely recommend!
It’s not authentic Mexican food but it was alright. Very hipster. The staff was awesome though, and the waitress was patient with us and went over the entire menu. The fajitas looked better - try those.
Incredible. Everything about this place is perfect. Awesome staff, food is out of this world.
All the food we had was amazing and service was great. We had the beef ribs enchiladas, mushroom sopes, and banana cream churro. Wait staff was very friendly.
Food was high quality, not overpriced for upscale Mexican. With two drinks and desert bill was $40 for my dinner. Staff was attentive and dining room was well decorated. Definitely recommend.
This place has impeccable to-go service. I have to say - every time I order to-go, they offer me a to-go drink when I pick up. The food is top notch and the staff is always friendly!
What an awesome meal!! I had the Chili Pequin Shrimp fajitas, and I was not disappointed! The picture of the shrimp fajitas has the Mexican crema sauce on it, (I forgot to take the pic before) We sat outside and the atmosphere was beautiful, and with the heaters going, it was very comfortable. Our server, Ivan, was very attentive and kept the whole table happy! I would definitely go back and bring more friends.
Excellent service, food was tasty, the Earl Grey tea was delicious!
Food was delicious and cocktais AMAIZING!!!
Food was prepared well. We tried the queso, shrimp enchiladas, guacamole and chicken fajitas. All dishes flavor profiles were good. Service was ok. Needed a bit more whimsy and hospitality.
Food and drink and service was good, but food took a while to come out
All in all the experience was just, meh. The food was good, our waitress was excellent. Rap and hip hop filled the air. This place is LOUD. So much so that you can't hear each other talk. All hard surfaces. The hostess was the real downer. We had reservations, arrived a little early and she seemed quite offended. We were simply alerting her to our arrival. We weren't expecting anything... other than courtesy. We didn't get that. In the end there were empty tables, but she didn't seat us until our time slot had passed. I had to alert her to our presence again. I doubt we go back.
Wonderful margaritas. Addictive salsa. Great service. Fun atmosphere. Only thing that could make it even better would be more vegan options.
I was extremely disappointed by my visit to Barrios. I ordered a the grilled pineapple margarita that came out as a regular cocktail no rocks or salt. Then I ordered nachos without jalepenos and they brought out nachos with jalepenos. It is a simple mistake but they brought them back out after simply pulling them off and leaving some behind. This was unacceptable and I will not return.
Creative & delicious Mexican food; located close to downtown. My second visit & loved atmosphere plus food both times.
We were lucky to visit Barrios on a trip to OKC. We sat out back, where their magical umbrellas protected us from the OKC heat. The service was amazing! The food was wonderful -- balanced and prepared with great skill! I want to visit OKC again soon so I can visit Barrios!
This was supposed to be fine Mexican dinning. The rice tasted like if it was pre made in a box or can seasoning. I ordered a fajita first it didn't came hot and with the grilling sound, even chilli's or cheap Mexican restaurant gives fajitas with green, red, yellow and orange bell peppers and this FINE restaurant can only afford green bell peppers and meat full of fat. Service was great and the patio is gorgeous but this is no where near fine Mexican dinning this is Americanized Mexican food. Buy a TV dinner it will be cheaper and taste the same. However if you like dessert go try the grilled pineapple 3 leches that was good.
Wasnt a fan. Nice atmosphere, didn't care for the food.
Delicious food and great atmosphere. I love the decor and feel of this place. Their Guacamole is AMAZING!! 100% recommend it. If you like a sweet/sour drink the Prickly Pear Slush cocktail is a must.
Very good food. Service was prompt and attentive. I also enjoyed the atmosphere and decor, which I usually don't pay to much attention to. Overall, great dining experience.
Steaks fajita are amazing awesome Chips and salsa where ok but Food is a 5 stars Server was great.
An interesting experience! The drinks we got were pretty good. I got one that came with a popsicle which was unique. Food was okay...had the fish tacos with street corn which was very tasty...husband had the beef fajitas which where tough and the rice and beans were rather bland. The service was okay as well, but our server had awkward interactions with us during our meal which made our experience less enjoyable. Will try again...maybe it was an off night.
The service was phenomenal and the food was delicious. I have been there twice and both times it's been great atmosphere. It's perfect for date night or just a night out with the girls (or boys). It is also perfect for family dinner. The last time I went there was a business meeting, a family dinner and a girls night all happening at the same time. It's medium price but the quality is great. I had a cocktail the first time and it was delicious. The only thing that would make it more amazing is if they had live music. I highly recommend it and look forward to going back soon!
Excellent food. Fresh with unique twists on Mexican cuisine. Comfortable atmosphere. Friendly service. I’ll definitely be returning.
Bougie Mexican Cuisine. Mixed thoughts on it. I'm from south Texas and like to keep things simple. The chicken enchiladas were solid but wouldn't get again they didn't have mama's touch of authenticity. The dranks were creative and on point. I had the grilled pineapple and the avocado margaritas. Simply wonderful. Staff really make this place. Love our hostess with the mostess tho I can't remember her name. I could return but the crave is not there.
Great atmosphere, friendly attentive staff, food presentation probably looks fantastic on social media - but that's about it. The dishes are pricey with not a lot of flavor and the cocktails are small.
The menu is exciting and different. We had a group of 8 with everyone trying something different. No one was disappointed and enjoyed their food choice very much. Our server was very attentive, ready to answer any questions about the menu or ingredients and making sure we were taken care of. We had a great lunch there. For now, just be aware of the construction out front, making parking a problem.
Service was great and friendly. The Texmex queso and chicken enchiladas were very tasty.
Best food clean trendy place loved it
The service was great but the food was just okay.
A friend suggested we meet for lunch at Barrio's and I'd not heard of it but like trying new places. We arrived around 11:40 am and were seated immediately. The menu items are different than your normal fare, though all looked intriguing. When our meals came out, the aroma and taste were deliciousness personified. I'd not had the combinations on the plate all at once before and I couldn't get enough. Our server was polite and efficient; and the manager was checking with customers to make sure everything was as expected. He stopped by our table twice while we dined, and made sure to make eye contact with both of us while inquiring about our experience. When noon rolled around, the place filled up fast and a line of people waited to be seated. I'm glad we went early. Absolutely worth the construction detours to get there.
A super cute vibe for great fresh mexican food and a diverse drink menu. Our server Lauren was FANTASTIC - quick to fetch drinks and water glasses, very communicative on the menu and asking how we wanted to customize our food, and checked in just enough to make sure our dinner was on track. The food itself also came out quickly and looked as good as it tasted, full of color and freshness. We were so hungry we didn't take any pictures, but it looked great! The whole restaurant had a great vibe - cactuses, weathered leather, while still mostly industrial chic - plus everyone who worked there seemed very comfortable and happy. Maybe because we went on a slow Thursday? We got quite a spread and a few drinks each but it was under $200 including tip. Queso, guac, 4 entrees, and a bunch of great cocktails. Highly recommend the beerita, with a frozen tequila cocktail in it. Too bad we live in MN, otherwise we'd be back for beeritas and fajitas!
Great place! Food is on point, good, fairly priced. The patio is outstanding. Lots of tables, all shaded and fans for those hot days. Staff was also very friendly and attentive.
Flavorful fajitas and good sides. The service was ideal for me: friendly, genuine, and attentive without being overbearing or making you feel rushed. My only complaint is the noise, but every modern restaurant has that issue, so I don't bother knocking off stars for that.
The nachos are the stuff dreams are made of, also a plate to share that will have you saying, these are nachos (not yours!)! The plating of the fish taco was a feast for the eyes and mouth and the crema on some of the other dishes is magical. I love the ambience and care and detail of the food and flavor combinations. Definitely a guilty pleasure of mine and my family's! Even our to-go orders in the past have left us dreaming of our next Barrio's visit.
Cold beer. Enchiladas were hot and delicious! Chips burnt. Service....attentive and friendly.
Food was delicious our server Billy was tug he best
OH MY! What a great! This place has a little different twist on Mexican food. That being said it really is off the chart good. I dont give 5 stars to places unless the go over and above. But 4 stars wasnt enough and the server Brandon did push the 4.75 star ratimg right on over the edge when he brought out the SOPA pias with the chocolate dipping sauce! Anyway I highly recommend this if you're a Mexican food lover like myself! 5 Stars without a doubt!!!
Food over priced, clean place, staff in good manners. Good location.
Love coming here. Best tortillas I've ever had. Staff is always friendly. The outdoor seating in the summer is awesome.
The service was ok the food was fun and different and very enjoyable and the atmosphere was great.
The food was delicious and service was great! Must visit if in the area. I've been there 2 times so far.
Food was delicious and an interesting take on tex-mex. Had the short rib enchiladas with mole negro and the street corn
