Love their chicken enchiladas. The lunch menu is decently priced. If you are in a hurry for lunch this probably isnt the spot for you. The servers are also on lunch and often have to go find someone to get your ticket and pay.

Very family friendly atmosphere. Kids menu, big portions, delicious food, and the sopapillas are amazing! New alcohol laws so no adult beverages yet, but will be available soon.

Sara ..sarah. the waitress was great.. Food is on the high side of ok. Price is around $11.00 a plate. White queso is really good. Salsa is tasty. ...But not Chunky enough for me. I would go back. The Sopohias are not free.

Can’t believe I never knew this place was here! They have TWO complimentary queso sauces!!! One of them is white queso and one yellow queso, super yummy. The service was great and the people were friendly. They do charge for sopapillas at the end but they are only $1 and I had the one with the brandy glaze on it. It was surprisingly better than the original. Def will be coming back!

The staff is friendly but the food is lacking. It's all home made, but unfortunately I think the recipes are just underwhelming. Sort of akin to a frozen Mexican TV dinner, before it was frozen. Would've given 3 stars, but way over priced dropped it another notch.

We were looking forward to trying this place but were very disappointed from the beginning. We sat for at least 10 minutes while server after server walked past us before anyone greeted us & took our drink order. Once greeted, our server was great. They don't serve margaritas & the food is WAY overpriced for the quality. I asked for onions in my enchilada & I tasted two. They were out of both lemonade & Sprite. The rice & beans are bland, no flavor at all. We will not be returning!

Been eating here for years. They no longer serve cerveza which is disappointing. It was crowded so service was slow. Not a restaurant for large parties. Food portion was good and tasty but it was overloaded with so many raw onions, they had to be scrapped off.

Food was average at best. Service was good and everything came out very fast. The free white queso good. Avoid the yellow one. I was excited to try the jalapeno rice, but was disappointed. They use pickled jalapenos, so it tastes like pickle rice if that's your thing

Honestly, the food was subpar. It was nice that the entrees came with tortillas (which were quite good) and several sauces (the salsa seemed pretty onion-y but pretty good if you’re into that style, but the other two sauces were so flavorless that I didn’t realize that one was a cheese sauce), but the food had very little seasoning and was smaller portions than I’d expected. I came away pretty disappointed.

Awful service. I was a regular because of their salsa and queso, but after they charged us an extra $4 for a kids chicken strip because my daughter was over 10 years old and then an extra $6 in stupid add on's we won't be back. There are plenty of other good Mexican restaurants on the South side. Sad because we used to love it. Oh, and watch out for the roaches on the walls.

Greatest white cheese sauce in the world! Portions were big not skimpy like some Mexican places. Great service, even the owner was there talking to everyone. Then the sopaipillas came. With brandy sauce! I will be back!

Service excellent. Prices are great. However, running out of things on Cinco De Mayo is kinda inexcusable for a Mexican food place. It's Tex-Mex and pretty good, normally, but tonight was just like eating leftovers. The server was super nice though.

Come here sometimes for lunch and the food is amazing and the hostess and waitstaff are always so friendly and attentive to me to make sure I have a full drink or if I need cheese, salsa, tortillas or chips. Definately not overpriced as I've seen mentioned in some of these comments.

Alvs is the best. So many good, girthy torts. And dat blanco queso. MMMMMMMMMMM. Chips, salsa, torts, and queso all soaking delicious. Lunch menu is around $8 and tasty.

Alvarado's is my favorite Mexican Restaurant in Oklahoma City. It's what I think of as "traditional" Tex Mex. They serve a white queso that is yummy. Their entrees and sides are delicious as well.

My wife ordered chicken fajita enchiladas, received plain chicken enchiladas, told the waitress and she said this was there fajita enchiladas after she basically unwrapped it and pulled out a piece that had grill marks... no very professional at all. Rice was also cold.
