I love love love this restaurant! Everytime I come here with my family, we always are treated with excellent service, the food is amazing, and the atmosphere is very welcoming. I would suggest this restaurant to anyone on a budget, because the taste of the food definitely outweighs the price. A-1 restaurant, hands down!

This place was good but not great. I'd go back for the service, chips & salsa, and drinks. I had the best margarita ever here. However, the food was eh. Just ok. Maybe it was what we ordered this was our first time. We would try again because of the things listed above but not the best food experience over all the first time.

We eat there all the time. The food is great with huge portions! Service is fast. And they have a big menu to select from. If you want real Tex Mex food at a fair price, this is it. You always get what you pay for.

Love this place. This is where Mexicans dine, and they know quality Mexican food. Generous food portions. Very tasty. Reasonable prices. Open long hours. Family run (not a chain) and their pride in doing a superior job shows. Oh, brewed ice tea (not watered down instant). Their chips are wonderful. They are usually willing to cook up items which are not on the menu, so don't be afraid to ask your server.

We had barbecue yesterday, Saturday time for some Mexican. With time between ball games, headed over to Abel's for lunch. Very tasty meals, with great fresh flavors. Very happy we did not go to a chain restaurant.

This is my wife and I’s favorite Mexican restaurant in OKC. There is a ton of seating so we’ve never needed to wait for a table. We always split the double order of chicken fajitas. It is a large portion and are typically unable to finish it. The food is absolutely delicious and always eat excessively. Don’t forget about the complementary sopapilla, their a great ending to the entire experience!

Authentic Mexican food that tastes like it was prepared by Abuela! Seriously some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had with so many choices, both traditional and exotic, and they have serve free queso along with their chips and salsa, which is a rare find. I highly recommend the Vegetariano Plate and fried ice cream. The staff was so kind, and the atmosphere is very welcoming. 10 out of 10 would recommend to anyone visiting OKC.

Best Mexican food in Oklahoma City area. Glad I finally found this place. Refried beans were excellent (and I don't like refried beans). Cheddar cheese Enchiladas. Sopapillas ware the bomb! Will return when in Oklahoma City area.

The server argued over what I ordered, the queso tastes like it came out of a can and the green chilies they use in their food is nothing but skins that are tough and bitter. $7.99 for enchiladas with no rice or beans? No thanks! I will not be back!

The one on the Southside had the relish bar, which was awesome. Food was good. Service was good, but we felt rushed from the get go. I could barely keep up with the guy seating us, and the servers were very attentive, but almost too attentive. It was good, but probably not worth the drive unless they implement some of the awesomeness from the south location that's no longer open.

The service was extraordinarily slow and not even the slightest bit nice to us. We didn’t even get our waters until 10 minutes into sitting. She had full conversations while we just wanted a refills and to order our dinner. Most definitely will not be coming back.

Though the place was packed, we were seated and had our order taken quickly. Seems like we had barely ordered before the food was brought out! I had the enchiladas rojas and it was spicy and delicious. My husband had the tacos cavarillos (sp?) and a tres leches cake that he said was the best he'd had in the last ten years. Our waiter was very attentive throughout. Awesome experience. I can't wait to go back and try more of their delicious food.

This is not just some fly-by-night Mexican restaraunt! Best Al Pastor in the city, and you will NOT leave still hungry. Great food, attentive server and an overall vibrant atmosphere. We loved all the mural pieces on the wall, and everytime we've come, the staff consistantly treats us well.

Place is usually money, but my family and I had our worst experience ever at this place. We ordered 4 items and only 1 out of the four was correct. Then when I pointed out my son's was incorrect, the waiter informed me I ordered wrong. I have only been ordering food for my son for 10 years. I think I know how to order his food.

My family loves Abel’s! Hands down, it is our favorite Mexican restaurant. Their salsa is great. Their chicken chimichangas with sour cream sauce are my absolute favorite —followed closely by the chicken-stuffed chile rellanos. Also, because I seem to have no control every time I come here, I never leave without a large horchata to go.

The dogs and waitstaff is very good but I'd depend on how much you spend weither you get free sopapias or not. We ordered 2 nacho platters and 2 waters. Did not receive an offer for sopapias. The bill came to 20 dollars tipped 5 bucks just because the waiter was fairly good.

The food was great!! Salsa was great with just a little hot to it. The cheese dip was warm!! Ask for a large bowl of them from the beginning! It was busy but service was still good. The meat was seasoned very well. The beans had a great flavor and tasted home cooked! It was a clean, delicious and much less expensive than expected! We will be going back!
