Beer selection is outstanding. Food was good and plenty of viewing for sports. One station should be a boarding station though. (Snow, skate, surf) The lizard looked happy. They should keep lizards at all locations or at least make mechanical robotic ones. Maybe the robot ones could talk to you when you go by and say funny things. Just a thought.

I dined in at this location last night with my wife and the food made both of us sick. We already was disappointed with the food as we felt everything was flavorless but we didn’t want to complain. Our waiter was really efficient but the food just didn’t taste good. Shortly after leaving my wife and I both began to feel sick and spent a large portion of the night vomiting.

If I could it will be no stars. The bar on both sides messy barely found 2 clean seats. Dirty dishes everywhere food etc. They refused our service because my partner works there. Even though we can on her off day. The manager told her she couldnt be on the property and had to go to another location just to eat a meal. Winking lizard will never have my service again.

Always a fan of the Lizard. The food came out as expected and our service was good. Only thing I would have liked to see differently was the space where we sat. My favorite place they give you a glass and other material for the beer of the month got a hat and a nice pilsners glass last time have mugs and everything great place to go . Although I like the place the short manager female type is a rracist and was very nasty to my son she also said something about barring him out of the place because he complained about his order. She has a very nasty attitude and is not very friendly to African Americans .

This is hands down my favorite Winking Lizard. Not just because it's in my own great community but the food is always excellent. The wings are the best! And they have a large variety. They do have discounted wing nights so that is the best time to try different flavors. Great outdoor space with a nice ambiance. Service is always A-1

They have a good craft beer selection and a decent rotating seasonal menu (in addition to their regular menu). Service is slow at times, especially during big Cleveland sporting events, but it's not a major deterrent. It's probably still the best sports bar in the Mayfield Heights/Lyndhurst area due to their food and beer selection and friendly atmosphere.

Don't waste your time. Go to Beachwood. This store has the potential to be a four or five star review based on their inventory, but sadly, the management (specifically, people like Geoffry Rose) is in the way. After several months of patronage, it became clear to me that the bar staff simply was not in tune with the customers. They would routinely be filling drink orders right in front of me while I had two empty glasses, then March off never having noticed. The only way they will pour you another drink is if you wave your arms and flag them down. Then, to make matters worse, when I was overheard by management talking to a friend about the poor bar service, management began harassing and bullying me about my complaints and kicked me out. They never for a moment considered the customer's point of view. This store is the opitome of a clique and a good old boys club that circles wagons. Stay away. Management is childish and thin-skinned.

Great place to watch the game, fight, or other sporting event. Also great if you want good bar type food - wings, burgers, all kinds of different appetizers and snacks. The food is pretty consistently 4-stars. The service is hit or miss - sometimes it's 2 or 3-star and sometimes it's 5-star. All that being said, if you're debating between here and some corporate chain sports bar - COME HERE. This is where I would bring friends/family to show them a cool local sports bar.

I love this Winking Lizard. Our service was excellent, and the atmosphere is welcoming. They have a huge beer list for everyone to enjoy, and the food is always superb. I had the bourbon barrel flavored wings and they were crispy and delicious!

Went here after work to meet up with a friend. It was my first time! I went on wing night! Prices were not bad at all compared to other places serving wings. 10 wings for 6 bucks is not too shabby. The only thing I would change would be how cramped it is in the dining area. Otherwise my experience was great! :)

I placed an order at 11:05am. I was told the food would be out in 15 min. At 11:34 I walked out. Not only was the wait long but my order was incorrect. No apology at all! She told me i could still take the pizza with green peppers which I am allergic to. She said I could just "pick them off". I have been a customer for over 30 years! They lost my business. Menu was a bit uninspiring. Could use more steak/ beef items on the menu. Dessert menu is nearly non existent. Food quality was good. Service was fine, but did not take advantage of the opportunity to expand on the menu. I mean really sell the place. I would not avoid the place in the future, but I would not go out of my way either.

The Winking Lizard at 1355 Som Center Rd in Mayfield Heights may have staffing issues. Visited location on 6/25 with my son. First indication of a bad situation was the hostess at the front desk delaying our seating outside for a few minutes because “we don’t want to overwhelm xxxx” — saying it to another girl working with her. Like most would do — I disregarded that observation.... Boy was I wrong for doing that!!! We waited 18 min after being seated for the initial engagement by a waitress. We would have waited more — in my opinion if it wasn’t for me going up to the bar to order something to drink. The wait was starting to boil my blood. So — that’s what I attempted to do — I tried to get two non alcoholic drinks from the bar as a seated customer and the bartender gave me non verbal clues that I was clearly asking the wrong person. To her credit, I did see her say something to another waitress. So now we have ‘ Axxxxha’ greet us at our table shortly after and there was no apology or even an acknowledgement of the lack of service going on. It was like nothing was wrong!!! Instead of venting at her, I just asked for the same drinks and also placed the food order. I wanted nothing more than to leave at this point. Her service was 2.5 out of 5. She was not very engaging but she did the minimum. Waitress could have been better trained but it’s also Winking Lizard so I need to balance that as part of this review. I believe management should really look at this situation as a learning opportunity. My recommendation would to consider a different restaurant while they deal with these internal problems or go BUT be mentally prepared to deal with bad service.

The waiter seemed upset to have us as customers from the start. It was only 9:30pm. They didn’t have the signature drink that we wanted and he didn’t even try to be helpful or anything. Just flat out was like NOPE. CANT HAVE THAT. Then at 01:11 was told to head out because it was “that time of night” when they close at 2am on Saturday. Mind you there was no last call, we got our receipts without us asking for it or indicating we were done for the night. Just very poor experience. Nobody was friendly or seemed to want to be there or to want us to have even a semi enjoyable night. Disappointing that I picked them to celebrate an important accomplishment.

We have been a regular customer of Winking Lizard for 25+ years, but this was our first trip to the Mayfield Hts. Location. The restaurant seating area was half full but we still had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. Our server was pleasant but the overall service was ridiculously slow and parts of our order came out wrong. Overall impression of this location is not good.

Apparently you have to be 21 years old to even EAT at this Resturant after 5pm... I guess the owner wants to just loose business.

Awful. Dirty bar, mediocre (at best) food, and downright terrible management that shows no respect for their patrons. Frequented this bar for a couple of years as a happy hour drink spot but will never return after the attitude received from the manager Dominic who has no right managing this restaurant. When I asked him for his name, he refused to give it to me and only gave me more attitude. He must not have realized his name and picture are on the restaurant's website.

Good place to drink, especially at night. The fire pit was "moneybags" as my friend Mike would put it. Reasonable priced, good beer selection, service was slow but it was just my server. All the other servers were on it so I was "Jelly" as my friend Mike would put it. The location is behind a strip mall so at one point within the night I came to the conclusion I was drinking in a facilitated area in a parking lot, staring at cars, behind a facilitated area.. (Meaning sh*tty location) 4Stars!

I really don't get why everyone loves this place so much. The menu is too large so they make everything meh. Never had a meal that was bad but never had one that I was impressed by either. Service is the same. Never had a server that made any impression other than they have to wait on another table. Based on the fact that dressings are served in store bought individual sized cups, I'd guess a lot of the food they are serving is pre-prepared. I guess it's the Cleveland original lable that people love so much.

Went on a Saturday night around 9, and they seemed relatively busy. Beer was good and everything else was fine - minus one star because it took about 20 minutes to actually get a drink once we sat down, and also to get a check once I indicated I was ready to leave. Again, I can't hold that against them since they seemed relatively busy. The patio's really nice.

Edited: We decided to try again, and sitting in the dining room is so much better! Our server was excellent and very personable. We love the food here, so we are glad to find that the dining room is relatively quiet, the service is prompt, and the staff is friendly! Previous three star review: The food is excellent! However, when sitting in the bar area, it is loud, stuffy, and slow. Our waiter seemed to pass off our table to another server after we ordered, but the new server forgot about us. We waited over 20 minutes after our plates were cleared for our check. Cannot say what it's like in the dining room (hopefully better), but bar area is definitely not worth it. Just drive down the road the the Chagrin Blvd Winking Lizard where the service is better.

A group of us went Saturday April 6 we had 15 or 16 children and 15 or 16 adults in our group. Lenny was our waiter all by himself and did an outstanding job. Not only did he make sure we were well taken care he did it with a smile and a sense of humor. Thank you Lenny for an outstanding job!

I have been to this Winking Lizard several times and have had pretty good experiences each time. I love their fish and chips and all the drink options. The wait staff is attentive and personable. They do tend to forget or get orders incorrect. This has happened twice out of the three times I've been there. They should get closer to the customer who is ordering and write down orders when there are large parties. I've been in a large party each time.

This was the WORST experience of my life. The aroma in the room was TERRIBLE. My food came and it was cold. There was something in my drink and the utensils were not cleaned thoroughly. The staff were rude and impatient and the area was messy. The only good thing that came out of this experience was ONE polite and extremely genuine employee, who I believe to go by the name Roosevelt. He has excellent service. He deserves a raise!

Service is not always great but the food and beer selection is! Great draught selection and a ton more in cans and bottles. Great brews from all over the world. Their wings are amazing. Some of the grilled chicken sandwiches can be a bit dry. Burgers are great as are the wraps. Have not had dessert because always too full. This place is not gourmet but it's a great night out, with friends, our a place to watch a game. Tvs everywhere!

Wings are so GOOD. 65 cents after 3pm on Mondays and Tuesdays. Top to bottom is hottest to mild/not spicy. So order carefully if you are not a spicy person. Only problem is celery was not fresh. Also no bowel for the bones
