First time at The Eagle OTR this weekend and I will be back...very soon! Food was top notch. I had the BLT. If you love a BLT sandwich - they take it up a notch and add a crispy piece of chicken. The portions are solid. My wife got the braised pork sandwich. It was good but when we ate the left overs she put BBQ sauce and it and it was even better so ask for BBQ sauce. Mac and Cheese is good. Hush puppies are GREAT! Grits are GREAT! Greens are solid. They are jalapeno crazy with everything but I love the heat. Drink prices are more than reasonable which was a huge plus. Already planning my next visit.

Some of the best fried chicken I've ever had!! The mac n cheese is a must as well! You won't be disappointed

Carl Oberg

Food was VERY good! I had the Shrimp Po Boy and it was delicious. Would definitely recommend checking this place out if you like southern style food.

Julie Basile

EVERYTHING was delicious. We got the grilled shrimp po boy sandwich and it literally tasted like a lobster roll. Fries are bomb. Southwest salad was also bomb. Waiter was super nice and 'on it'!

Joshua Porter

One of the best fried chicken restaurants/bars I've been too in ages.

Charles Hu

Everyone says the fried chicken, I can say the drumstick and wings are one of the best. All the sides were also stellar. Delirium is also on tap to finish this off. Good low key, unpretentious atmosphere. Great for groups!

brandon smith

This was a great place to eat. Thier fried chicken is a hit abs the family style sides work well with the meal. Loved the hot honey for the chicken!

Nick Klotz

Fantastic. Best fried chicken in the city. Had a bit longer wait than we were told/anticipated, but the hostess was on point with some bacon. Had an out of town client with us and it was well worth the wait.

Jessica Waller

Friendly staff. The food here is amazing! You won't be disappointed.

Josh E

Very good food here. My chicken was served a little too hot so I had to let it rest 10 minutes or so but once it cooled down it earned its reputation for being fantastic. The mac and cheese was perfection. A great restaurant to share food.

Jamed Beardson

Was in Cincinnati for a work trip and stayed at the Hyatt who recommended this place and I must say their recommendation was spot on. The fried chicken was absolutely delicious, like perfectly crispy on the outside but so juicy and tender on the inside; it's what I imagine all fried chicken in the south to taste like. I also grabbed a few drinks, I would highly recommend the bourbon punch it was out of this world. Probably one of my favorite southern style restaurants in Cincinnati.

Melissa Alejandro

Absolutely love their food. Always Great! Never been disappointed.

Morgan Alexander

Yum! We came down to get a quick lunch for our anniversary. We got a light and dark meat chicken, and wow is it delicious. They also have a tobasco infused honey. The heat catches up with you but it is really good. We got the Mac n cheese and sweet potato casserole as our sides. We were scraping the plate and fighting over them! Definitely recommend!

Soumya Prasad Mishra

One of the best fried chicken you'll find in Cincinnati. Goes really well with their spiced honey and spoonbread.

Nathan Patrick

Good food. Fairly priced. Nice environment. Can be very crowded.over all very pleased!!!

Brandon Bush

The fried chicken sandwich was off the chart! It had a little bit of spice without the mayo, which was just amazing. Full of flavor. The chicken was fried to perfection, full of flavor and tenderness.

First experience here and it was phenomenal. Not only was the food delicious (we had ALL the "snacks") MAPLE BACON!!! But Sarah's service was so refreshing! We go out a lot and she set the bar for service. Thank you Sarah, you made our day. And Liz, thank you for the rooftop recommendations:)

Ro Clark

Food is always great here! Make sure to get here early for Fri and Sat nights...they get busy quickly (before 5p ideally)

Rachel Brubeck

This is a favorite when visiting Cincinnati for work. We've been twice now and it was excellent both times. The fried chicken is superb, juicy and flavorful with just the right amount of crispy breading. If you like a little heat, the spicy honey they serve it with is pretty tasty. In addition to the delicious chicken, their sides don't miss a beat. From their award winning mac and cheese to the tangy collard greens, sweet spponbread and savory succotash, the sides were well rounded, full of flavor and downright amazing. We've never had enough room to check out dessert but are always sure to sample a few local brews. The atmosphere is great, though a bit loud. Some of the tables are communal which isn't everyone's cup of tea but can be a fun way to meet other people and discuss the tasty fare. There's usually a wait, so be prepared, but know the food is definitely worth it.

Roxanne Solimano

Good food and our waiter was nice. Long waits on weekend and parking sucks but that comes with downtown places.

Suraj Gandhi

Lived up to the hype. Good fried Chicken with amazing spicy honey sauce. Mac and cheese is also a must try . Friendly staff but the wait can go up to 1+ hours during weekends.

Matthew Danowski

Much like everything in this neighborhood, the Eagle looks like it was opened yesterday. However one should not dismiss the aura of hipster gentrification with bad food and high prices. The signature fried chicken here was amazing, with extra emphasis for their spicy honey sauce. Additionally, the macaroni and cheese lives up to the wait staff's recommendation. The best part is the prices are very reasonable, and a couple can leave here with a full chicken, two sides and beers for under $40. Highly recommended.

Stephen Smalling

Delicious Fried chicken. We did the family style meal which came with mashed potatoes & gravy, mac & cheese, and spoon bread. Priced per person and it was plenty of food. Everyone in the group was satisfied and it made ordering super easy. Comfort food in a very nice restaurant. Won't miss it next time I find myself in Cincinnati.

Joe Sutliff

The Eagle was recommended to me by a local. Did not disappoint! I had the fried chicken sandwich which was great & the right size for a hearty lunch!

Sean Keith

Great food! Best friend chicken, spicy honey, and ALL the sides are great. I always have a hard time deciding which sides to get but you can't go wrong with the sweet potato casserole. Service is also very good.

Matt Nalley

Get the fried chicken, it's the best in town. The family meal and a pretty reasonable if you have a larger group.

Location: In the OTR neighbourhood - it's walkable from downtown too. The place: It's got a bar feel to it (probably because they've got a proper bar) and is super casual. Nothing pretentious here at all. Th le vibe is chill and friendly. Great for a drink if that's all you want. The goods: God help me - I was hoping that the rumour about the best fried chicken was true and so it was. I had 1/4 chicken and it was amazing - so tender and moist and the skin was the perfect level of crispness AND it was loaded with flavour. I ordered the biscuits (3) but took 2 home - they're great but I just didn't have any room to store them since I was coerced by my waitress, into ordering the best Mac & Cheese, too. That was awesome. For real - I believe that it really is the best Mac & Cheese ever. Oh and I forgot to mention the bourbon punch. Hey, I wasn't driving so why the hell not?! It was REALLY GOOD. Service: Great - my waitress was super nice and friendly, and gave me some tips on what to do and where to go in Cincy. Totally felt the love! Price point: For all that food, it totalled $17. Disclosure: the punch was on the house because I'm awesome. This place rocks - it's popular with the locals so that's good enough for me. If you want some great craft beer and good food - add this to your list of must-eat spots in the Queen City.

I had been wanting to visit The Eagle quite some time and was not disappointed. I had heard that the chicken and waffles was good so I ordered that. Damn this place! Now all other fried chicken sucks! I’m glad I don’t work there or I’d have to be carted around. The staff was great. Always making sure our needs were met. This will be on rotation for sure..

K.Scott Reynolds

1st visit. Loved the chicken, sides were great, the whole table pitched in and shared. Horseradish potatoes were my favorite, but I'm into horseradish is my thing right now. Grits with a kick were superb.

eevee4155

Friendly servers, good food, and an organized menu all at an affordable cost. Great place.

Diana Ulm

Excellent chicken an amazing fries. Great place for any/ all groups.

Nathan Landis

No complaints about the food, but I just thought it was a little pricey. Maybe I'm just cheap, but I thought that everything could be dropped by about $1.50-$2.00 depending on the item. I got the fried chicken BLT and some fries. Again, food tasted great, but not sure it's worth the money for the portions.

R Cannata

My fried chicken BLT was creative and awesome. Everybody loved their meals. The neighborhood is awesome. Love this place!

Mike Hollin

Pretty decent chicken. Friendly staff. A little over priced.

Scott Walton

We visited on a Sunday afternoon. We did have to wait about 15 minutes for a table but we were able to walk to the nearby shops. They texted when the table was ready. The service was great, had a friendly waiter and he was attentive and helped us with the menu. I shared a whole fried chicken with others at the table; it was very good fried chicken; probably some of the best I've had. But, aside the chicken their sides were excellent; we shared a few of collards, sweet potatoes, succotash, and biscuits. The quality of the food exceeded my expectations. They have a good beer selection, but I was duped into trying a bloody Mary, not impressed with that. If you like horseradish, you would like it. The bacon was impressive, the chicken also, sides and all. Really this was a WIN for us. I look forward to visiting again.

Willem Bosman

I'm new in town and this is the best restaurant I've been to so far. Not only is the chicken the bomb diggity but the service is equally professional and friendly. (Ryan you killed it) Most deffently make a reservation place is always packed, well worth the wait! Must try the fried chicken, and the hush puppies!

Belinda Snipes

Magnificent customer service! We have been there twice, I love the food and the staffs is very friendly

Cassandra Houston

The Eagle OTR is a small restaurant with rustic décor. It did seem a little cramped and they only have a limited number of tables for reservations, so you may want to keep that in mind if you visit. They specialize in southern dishes with their most popular being their fried chicken. I have to say the fried chicken was good. It was hot, crispy, and moist. They also provided a honey/tabasco syrup for the chicken that had a nice kick to it. Because there was eight of us, the waiter suggested we order three chickens and then everyone order sides so that we could serve it up family style. That worked for us. The sides that we chose were: mashed potatoes w/ gravy, succotash, kale salad, sweet potatoes, macaroni and cheese, biscuits, and spoonbread. All the sides were served in cute little skillets. My favorite was the mashed potatoes and gravy. They had a slight tanginess to them due to the horseradish. The mac and cheese was nice and creamy, topped w/ breadcrumbs. Even the kale salad was okay, probably because of the bourbon soaked raisins that were in it, along with the cornbread croutons. The spoonbread had kernels of corn in it that were good. The sweet potatoes were nice and sweet, topped w/ toasted marshmallow, however it seemed to be really shallow in the skillet compared to the other dishes. The collards tasted like there was a little too much vinegar in them. The homemade biscuits were a little too doughy for me. I guess that’s the price you pay w/ homemade…I’m a hungry jack girl myself. I didn’t try the succotash, because that was one vegetable too many, seeing I already tried the collards and kale. I just wish they would have provided larger plates to eat off. I had food piled on my plate, which is a no, no for me….I don’t like my food to touch. All in all, the food was pretty darn good and worth the trip.

Robbie E

The service was great, and the food was even better. Trying the hot honey is a must. All of the sides I've tried have been excellent as well.

Alex Cross

Alright, so I have to start this off by saying that this place serves some of the best chicken you will have in the state! The chicken is seasoned perfectly and is absolutely incredible. They also have a good number of side dishes that are reasonably priced and are absolutely delicious. Their cornbread (spoonbread) is probably one of my favorites, trust me it's worth trying. They also serve delicious fries and even their grits are very tasty. The servers are very nice and the set up is modern and attractive. Overall, this is definitely one of my new favorite places in the area and I will be returning!

Thayra Zambrana

This is my second time in this restaurant and I loved it again! The fried chicken is really good, the drinks have a beautiful presentation and are super delicious. The cornbread was to DIE for and the mac and cheese...WOW! Fireworks in my mouth! Also, the service was amazing!!!! Overall, 5 stars!

James Coley

Top 3 best peices of chicken I've ever had and the sides was very good too

Andy Reust

If you want the best fried chicken in Cincinnati then look no further than The Eagle. Wonderful service, food, and atmosphere. If you like heat then drizzle a little of the hot honey on your chicken for a pleasant surprise. Also, make sure to order the mac n cheese as a side, it is delicious!

Miles Bowden

I had been wanting to visit The Eagle quite some time and was not disappointed. I had heard that the chicken and waffles was good so I ordered that. Damn this place! Enjoyable experience. Fried chicken is awesome. Service was fabulous

Clevie Logan

It's amazing fried chicken. What more could you possibly ask for? The mac and cheese, grits, and spoonbread are all worth putting in your mouth, too.

Freedman Boultons

Upon walking in, hostess welcomed us and seated us within minutes (5PM just before the rush). Waitress greeted us and was well rehearsed on the menu items and served us very well. Meal was serviced in a timely manner and was great. Service, food, atmosphere all was good and pricing was good. We will go again. Was looking to entertain my brother and a friend for dinner who I had not seen in a while. Always a good vibe here. No soup-Burgoo! Great chicken dinner and pickled apps. Good beer selection. Crowded for a Monday night and they couldn’t wait to turn over our table.

Rochelle L

Lives up to the hype. Amazing fried chicken, fried chicken sandwich, cheesy grits WITH pickled peppers to balance the creaminess, and cheap drinks! The fried chicken is ultra juicy and doesn't use a thick batter. And it has a dog-friendly patio in front to boot. Love.

Dixie Walker

The Eagle was by far the best chicken, Mac and cheese, and spoonbread I have ever had. Our service was spectacular. As a first time customer, our waiter gave great advice with a happy attitude! The hour wait was well worth everything. AND the meal for our family of four was under $50 and we had food left. The Eagle is AMAZING and we will recommend it to all our friends!!!

Qasim McCreagh

I always have great meals here. The best value is the whole chicken is you have 3 people, half chicken if you have 2 people. The chicken is crispy, moist and well-seasoned. The wait time once you order is pretty low, although on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday night you can wait sometimes 2+ hours to be seated. (While waiting, you can play games at 16-Bit around the corner). Everyone is very friendly, and quick with service.

MarkG353

Chicken-to-go. Best in town! Well worth the 20 minute drive to/from. What a TREAT!

Charles Gilliam

Staff so friendly and amazing. Gave me a taste test of beer that I might like. The chicken is the bomb and the Mac and cheese is

Heather Anderson

Yummm!! So good! Came here late night on a Monday for the first time & absolutely loved the chopped salad, mac n cheese and chicken. Very fairly priced and nice atmosphere.

Cainan Miles

amazing chicken! I typically get dark meat because it’s always juicy, this isn’t the case the way they prepare and cook their food the breast tasted amazing and was very juicy. I also tried the sweet potatoes and loved them would absolutely recommend

Krystina Brooks

LOVE the Eagle!! The fried chicken, the macaroni and cheese, the biscuits with jam! All of it! Great selection of beers. Fun atmosphere. Love visiting every time we get to travel to Cincinnati!

Clevie Logan

Scott Boyte

I am from the deep south, so we had to try The Eagle after looking at their menu online and while in Cincinnati. The food was awesome. They bring a spicy honey mix with your chicken, which adds to the already great taste. Try the horseradish mashed potatoes topped with chicken gravy. Outstanding!

jeff salty

This place is great. The chicken is fantastic. It can get a bit loud so if you want to talk with your fellow dinners you may want to move on for drinks afterwards.

Belinda Caudill

Omg, the food was amazing. Succotash and cornbread and greens. Amazeballs.

Charles G Knight

Great food reasonably priced. Seating can be a challenge though, but definitely worth the wait. I had 1/4 chicken dark meat, collards, and corn bread. This was enough for me before going to a concert. Service was quick and the beer is cold. This eatery has always been packed when I went, which says a lot! No meal deals though, everything is Ala Carre :-(

Valerie Zornes

Very very busy. I got a 2go order and as soon as I walked in I had atleast 3 people ask if had been helped yet! They set the bar high and it shows! Once I ate my fried chicken sandwich it was pretty good. The sandwich it's self was kinda dry... The greens on the other hand were amazing and I'll deff be back to try the bone in fried chicken! I hear it's wonderful! Great job team at The Eagle!

Guilherme Rodrigues

Great fried chicken, with full draft beer all to your delight. If you can, try staying at the bar

Rachael Smith

I love this place. Great food that you can’t really get every where so it’s unique. I went here with a friend for a late night snack and was blown away!! Excellent service!

Iris Posey

The service is really good for a really busy place. The food is good, too!

Zachary Smith

Great chicken, nice atmosphere, friendly people. Definitely go back, the chicken was fresh and juicy, crispy and delicious. The honey on the side was phenomenal, just a bit of spice and the sweetness brings out more of the chicken flavor. Awesome place to go.

Tracy Stewart

I had been wanting to visit The Eagle quite some time and was not disappointed. I had heard that the chicken and waffles was good so I ordered that. Damn this place! Now all other fried chicken sucks! I’m glad I don’t work there or I’d have to be carted around. The staff was great. Always making sure our needs were met. This will be on rotation for sure.

Megan McDonough

The food here is amazing. Most widely known for their fried chicken, and coming from Georgia it is pretty dang good. Service was impeccable, all waiters and waitresses were extremely friendly. Sides are definitely buit for 2+ to share. Mac and cheese looks better in the picture/in person than it tastes. Spoon bread is amazing and highly recommended. Wonderful atmosphere, great food, highly recommended. If not my favorite restaurant in OTR

Joshua Hensley

This place is awesome! You'll always fnlind it busy so the food takes a moment to get to you but it's so worth it! They also combine smaller groups at tables with other people to fit more which I feel every casual dinner should do. Best chicken sandwich I've had in the cinnci area!

Damien Peteet

Food is great as always. Tried the fried chicken sandwich. Very happy with the results. 4 stars because of bad hostess attitude. She was not at all welcoming. Hopefully just a bad day.

Bret P

I've heard really good things about the Eagle and this place is good. I had high expectations when I went here based on what everybody said. It was really good, but I did expect it to be better. I did get a chicken sandwich and didn't have their quarter chicken or whatever sizes they had so I'll have to try that next time. This place is solid and definitely a must try but I don't want to oversell it. They do have a great appetizer of Bacon which is delicious and a must try. They also require entire party to be present before sitting so make sure all are there.

Luke Hartsock

Great chicken sandwiches, good sides & a fun urban renewed setting. Worth a try if you're in Over The Rhine area of Cincinnati.

Mitchell Schott

Hot damn is the chicken good. Worth the wait!

David Pham

Great mac and cheese. -1 star because service was incredibly slow, even for drinks, and our waitress completely forgot the unique honey sauce and we didn't realize what we were missing until we saw another group with it on the way out.

Ali Danesh

Easily the best fried chicken in Cincinnati. Every side is delicious fries, Mac n cheese, corn bread you name it! Don’t forget the hot sauce syrup it’s uniquely delicious.

Carla Gaither

Delicious fried chicken with hot honey sauce! And the skillet cornbread...ah-mazing! Atmosphere cool and friendly. We will be back!

Pat Marcus

I had been wanting to visit The Eagle quite some time and was not disappointed. I had heard that the chicken and waffles was good so I ordered that. Damn this place! Deny Lee

Great beer and service. Chicken is very good but fries are just OK.

Laura Sigmon

Stopped in The Eagle last night after seeing a play at the Ensemble Theater. I enjoyed a Southern Chopped Salad which had mixed greens, green beans, corn, black eyed peas, bacon and pecans. I asked for the peach vinaigrette dressing as I don't like ranch. The salad was AMAZING! I can't wait to go back. My boyfriend got the fried chicken which he really enjoyed. We shared 2 side dishes - macaroni n cheese and the spoon bread. Both were wonderful.

Bob Allen

Amazing fried chicken! Reminded me so much of mom's long ago. Mashed potatoes were yummy! Shared a table with a friendly couple. What fun. Great service.

Jason Stewart

Some of the best chicken I have ever ate. The chicken sandwiches are bomb also. Casual. Chill vibe. Good beer list. Definitely going to be a regular spot for me.

Shaun Williams

Great food! Loved the fried chicken:)

Bree Michelle

I’ve always heard great things about this place. I finally visited and it was everything! I especially enjoyed that spicy honey suave that’s used for the fried chicken.

Chris

First time there was amazing. Chicken is terrific, sides are fantastic. We'll be back!

Rachel Stalder

We stopped in to try the famous fried chicken and got a quarter chicken to split. Fabulous! The spicy honey they serve it with is wonderful. It was a huge piece of chicken, so we were happy we chose to share. They have beer on tab and serve several local selections if you interested in micro brews. Would recommend!

Terry Stein

Best fried chicken I've ever had.

Tracy S

Excellent salad, grits, and chicken sandwich. Service was good too. My first time there. I will go back but maybe during an off time. Went for lunch and it was very loud and noisy, bad acoustics. Also our table was two inches from the entrance and not much further from the next table - their server's rear was slightly intrusive.

Totally, highly recommend. Perfect fried chicken.

Mikka Riley

Omg I was very skeptical but this place has the best friend chicken ! The cornbread and mac n cheese is amazing! I loved this place cant wait to go back!

Martin Barrett

Unbelievably amazing chicken sandwich. Good beer selection too. Enjoyed our side of mac and cheese as well. Very fast for how busy they were. We got there at 4:30 and they were already busy, but got us in quickly.

Chad Hesson

Excellent fried chicken. Mac n cheese was a little under done tho.

Alfred Huff

This place is a must for any traveler like myself. The food is amazing and the service is awesome. Staff seems to love what they do. The Eagle is one of those places that you have to try before you die.

Alex Buckley

Fantastic chicken but don't sleep on the sides. Can easily order 5 different ones and be happy with them all!

Genaro Quinn

Love this place! Try to eat here every time we visit the area which is twice a year. My daughter is a vegetarian so she orders the kale salad. I ordered it this time and it was amazing! The spoon bread is great and we all really love the Mac and cheese as a side. The whole chicken was plenty for three of us.

Brandi Hayes

I had been wanting to visit The Eagle quite some time and was not disappointed. I had heard that the chicken and waffles was good so I ordered that. Damn this place! Jeremy St.Martin

First time here. The meal was exceptional, the staff was friendly. Will go here again when I'm in town

Rene Bishop

Vibrant, cozy atmosphere. Waitress was friendly and order was correct. I ordered the chicken breast and it was tender and well cooked. I will definitely patron this place again.

Genevieve Walker

My daughter took me there for my birthday oh my God the food was magical to me

Kelly Hargis

Probably the BEST fried chicken I've ever tasted. Everything we ordered- from drinks, appetizers, sides etc.... was on point. The wait was long ( an hour on a Wednesday night!!!) But.....the SERVICE and amazing food made it totally worth it!

Brent Ernstberger

Fried chicken was excellent. Had a good beer selection. Somewhat pricey for comfort food. $10 for a ham salad and pimento cheese appetizer with ritz crackers.

R. B.

Let me just start off by saying I dined here a few years ago, was very unimpressed with the food, and was determined to never return. Flash forward to present day. I went per a friend's request. Our sever was AMAZING. She was truly the epitome of Southern hospitality. I ordered their balckberry lemonade (alcoholic) and fried chicken BLT with fries. My friend ordered chicken with hot honey, macaroni and cheese, as well as sweet potato pudding. We shared their hush puppies and biscuits. Everything was delicious and comforting. I don't know if I went on a bad day before or if they've made changes since I last went. Their biscuits I could pass on but I love their hush puppies. The sandwich was quite large and indulgent. Could only finish half. Love love love.

Stephanie Cazel

Best damn chicken in the Midwest by far. We make it a point to go in every time we are in town. My only improvement would be to be able to pay for certain pieces of chicken (like all drums) instead of mixed white or dark. Very nice rotating selection of beer as well - mostly local. Recently expanded so the waits aren’t nearly as long (but there will always be a wait).

Bob Allen

Amazing fried chicken! Reminded me so much of mom's long ago. Mashed potatoes were yummy! Shared a table with a friendly couple. What fun. Great service.

Alana Jenkins

I've been here several times over the years and this place is still delicious. The employees are friendly and courteous and if you get there at the right time, you can get a great seat in the restaurant. I highly recommend the grilled cheese sandwich and the friend chicken BLT, but the fries are the best. This is a place you can't miss in Cincinnati!

Sam Helmle

Never in my life have I had a meal quite like what I experience at The Eagle. It is magical and euphoric and I still have never had fried chicken that comes close to what they're doing at The Eagle. AND their sides are amazing too. The freaking mac n cheese. My god it is delicious. 10/10 I could eat it everyday with every meal. And the fries! Ahh!!! The fries! So good. I live in Colorado now and I still think about The Eagle all the time. You should feel really lucky to eat there if you're able too. Do it for me.

Rachna Baroncho

THE place to go for fried chicken in Cincinnati, Ohio. We had the fried chicken sandwiches which were absolutely delicious! The Mac n cheese and the succatosh are a must have. The portions are quite a bit so don't be afraid to share a sandwich and order multiple appetizers. Last but not the least, the baccon strips were delicious and coming from me, as it was the first time I tried bacon. Usually there is a wait but it's worth it!

Pam Reynolds

Oh my goodness! What a tummy loving experience I had here! My palate was comforted with some of the best fried, moist chicken ever, collard greens, spoon corn bread, sweet potato casserole and more! Yes, I will be returning to experience other items on the menu.

Daniel McCarthy

Great Chicken. Chili honey was great add to it. Spoon bread and sweet potatoes were pretty good. Mac and cheese was amazing! Good beer selection. Service was good.

Dustin Hoagland

Incredible menu! Incredible service! Really a happening spot in Cincinnati! Keep Up the great work! We love it!

K.Nicole

First time eating at The Eagle. My family and I came when the restaurant was packed. The hostess needed a serious attitude adjustment, but that was the only downside to our visit. The manager was lovely and our server, Kristina, was super sweet and very attentive. The food was delicious. We will stop by again next time we are in town!

E Todd Fowler

Awesome fried chicken and a fun atmosphere. A great place to take friends and out of town guests. Fast service. Great food.

Abdulmohsen Al-Fwzan

Great taste and atmosphere. I visited on a Sunday afternoon and had to sit at bar. Waiting time was more than 45 minutes but it definitely worth waiting. Go for full chicken (good for groups). Other items are just fine.

Joshua Thompson

What can I say that everyone else hasn't said? It's the pinnacle of fried chicken in Cincinnati, and the sweet potato crock is an amazing side dish. My wife loves the Bloody Mary's, but beware, they are spicy.

I’m giving you 3 stars because everything I had was good, except the collard greens. They had a sandy chew to em. Being from the south that means they weren’t washed properly. I loved em so I still ate them (oh well) But I would love to know if you guys could make that right. Ordered through door dash .* (edit) called in not for a refund ,but to tell the manager , she’s says it’s the ham hock. Wow lol. Not coming back.

The food here is great! Some stuff is spicier than others and I would have liked to get my drinks refilled sooner. However, our waiter was slow to help us, even with the check. Everybody was really friendly, including the waiter. Would go again and keep trying new things.

Kevin Stolecki

Some of the best fried chicken you'll ever have. Great atmosphere and vibe. Worth the wait for a table! Don't forget to try the hush puppies!

James Kuchle

They likely have the best chicken in the tristate area. The staff was very nice. The only downside I could find is that they have single person restrooms. The chicken was extremely tender, while the skin was very crispy. This was seasoned to perfection. They have good Mac n cheese, but it doesn't take my number one. The collared greens were also tasty. They have a decent beer selection and the location is great in the middle of OTR. This is a great place to start a crazy night.

Margaret Turner

Delicious food, friendly staff, good service with a unique style of dining.

Scott Hair

One of my favorite places to go when I'm in Cincinnati. I usually get the chicken sandwich but decided to get the fried chicken this time. Just by itself the chicken is amazing. Tender, juicy and an amazing crust with a touch of spiciness. Service as always was top-notch. Expect a wait at peak times but they page you when your table is ready and there is so much right around The Eagle the wait goes by quickly.

Jaclyn Livingston

The food here was absolutely delicious. Fried chicken BLT was so good and filling. Highly recommend the mac and cheese as well. Service was awesome. Be prepared to wait, though. They text you when a table is ready so you can wander around and check out shops. I can't stress enough how delicious the fried chicken here is. You won't be disappointed.

Kara Nolan

I love this place in theory, but the chicken J Just isn't all that. The food is good but nothing I would go out of my way for. Honestly the best thing is the blackberry jam that comes with the biscuits and the fries. Our server today was wonderfully nice and efficient enough. They have a decent beer selection too with plenty of locals. We didn't have to wait which is a bonus. Go if there isn't a crazy wait, get the fries and biscuits and enjoy.

Matt Reynolds

Get the fried chicken, cornbread and mac and cheese. Best mac and cheese in Cincinnati. Great beer selection too. All for a good price. Chill atmosphere good for an afternoon outing with friends. Don't hesitate to go here or recommend this place to friends!

Laurri Diener

The fried chicken is superb, and so were all of the sides. Our food came out quickly and the staff was wonderful. Special thanks the Katie for getting us seated quickly on a busy night. Highly recommended!

David 1K

The atmosphere was great. The staff (were) and service was excellent. The food was off the chain. Overall, one of the best places I have ever eaten at.

Charlie Cartolano

I always go here when in town. Great drinks and fun comfort menu. Chill vibe.

Tracy Law

Compared to all the fried chicken spots in Los Angeles, i.e., Roscoes, this place is a solid notch higher in quality and taste. The fried chicken with the spicy honey is a frickin game changer. The Mac and Cheese was probably one of the best i've ever had and their cornbread was for sure in my top 3.

Martin Webster

If you're looking for great fried chicken and some fantastic side dishes, you won't find much better than The Eagle. Try to get here early on the weekends as the wait times can get a little crazy, but man, the chicken almost makes it worth it. The spoon cornbread is wonderfully dangerous. Try not to keep it all for yourself.

Michael Hoffman

Best fried chicken I've ever had. And really good sides (succotash and grits). It's worth the wait.

Jacob Carothers

Excellent food. First time back after a couple years. Also had really cool beer glasses

John Knuckles

This place was great, food is off the chain.

Manoj Patankar

Decent hang out place. My bloody mary was WAYYYYY SPICY. It was literally fire. Otherwise fine..

Kell Culver

Went back with gift card provided by GM and had an amazing experience! Food was excellent and hot, drink refills given before I had to ask, was greeted with a smile. Take out containers and bags were given at door without even having to ask! Thank you to Antwaun for making sure my daughter and I had a great lunch date!

The Reese Family

Service was impeccable! Brought someone in who travels here from Texas and was looking for comfort food. He loved it!

melissa Becker

Food and beer are delicious, friendly staff. Just a little crowded, I find it awkward to share a table with strangers. Doesnt allow for personal conversations

Russ Matzke

We were told the best fried chicken around. We were not disappointed. Best mac and cheese .... EVER!

Barb Nickell

Great food and service. Good atmosphere and great company!

Fabulous fried chicken, perfect for a late night meal! Can't miss dousing the chicken with spicy honey!! Full chicken with 3 sides was more than enough for three hungry Blink Cincinnati revelers.

Mary McConnell

Hmmm ... I will need to try this place again. The iced tea was watery and tasted "bad". We found a gigantic arugula salad that I modified so it met my diet issues, so that was great. Always glad to find something! The waitress had odd timing with interrupting our conversation but I'm not sure I have an opinion on that when lunch rush is so busy. So I will have to try it again and see. Location is great, atmosphere good.

Kimberly Carr

My cousin and I love the atmosphere of the Eagle and enjoy ourselves most of the time. The last time I went someone leaned on the fire extinguisher and the restaurant was filled with the powder. I had to get up and open the patio doors so we would stop choking. We couldn't enjoy our meal and had to leave.

Pearl Gordon

Nate was our waiter for the evening and was very attentive and explained everything to us as it was our first time. We all got 1/4 chicken white meat and for the sides for the whole table we got biscuits, sweet potatoes, and Mac n cheese. The chicken was served with their spicy honey sauce on the side in a little jar to pour on your chicken.

Zach Daulton

The food is great but it's so hard to enjoy when you're sat so closely to other people. Went for my birthday, couldn't hear my wife over the obnoxious table next to us talking about how much they like Metallica, and the two top table on the other side decided to invite their friend and she sat on the shared bench right by me basically bumping elbows the entire meal. Love the food, but not worth the gamble of being stuffed between strangers.

Juan Sanchez

Great menu — simple, honest, and focused on the fried chicken. Service is fast and friendly. All of the sides are pretty good. Fits in perfectly with what I want from an OTR restaurant. Not the best fried chicken ever but still deserves five stars given the overall quality, service, price, and ambience.

Sallie Keeney

Food was delish as always! Fantastic service from Jessica at the bar. If you haven't been yet, you are missing out. Fried chicken is amazing and their mac n cheese is my favorite.

garth kukla

Best friend check in Cincinnati. Root beer on tap is a total bonus. I'm a foodie and absolutely love this place

Darlinda Minor

The chicken, obviously. It’s super flavorful! That spoonbread side though!!! Yes, yes, and yes! Try it, you won’t regret it. I typically park in the nearby Mercer garage and walk over. Super easy!

Ashleigh DeGothseir - Fox

This place has amazing fried chicken and the mac & cheese is to die for. I had the fried chicken sandwich and it literally was the best fried chicken I have ever had! I also had some of the regular fried chicken my husband had and it comes with this great tabasco dip that tastes minty and then little bite and it goes perfect with it.

Rudy Alexander Alarcon

Loved this place and the atmosphere and wait staff! Downside was that they have limited food selection (everything is mostly fried except for two items.)

Crystal Goodwin-Edinburg

Food was delicious and our server Hope was lovely.

Alexander Scharfetter

This place is always clutch for dinner. There is usually a wait at peak dinner hours so make sure you account for that. My order every time I go. 1/4 chicken dark, Mac and cheese, and collards. You will not be disappointed.

Hinesh Mandora

Fantastic chicken and the best Bloody Mary I've ever had! Highly recommended.

This establishment is known for their brine twice dredged fried chicken, it is very flavorful. Crisp, and juicy. The hot honey it is served with adds a sweet spicy inviting kick to the experience. Decent local beer list as well and the fries with herb and aioli are good too.

Theresa Crew

My husband and I had to see what ALL hype was about with The Eagle. We were not that pleased with the food. The food was average and there was wasn't much to choose from from the menu. Fried Chicken was okay. Mac n Cheese was below average (to me) but the biscuits, lemonade and sweet tea was good. The waitress we had was below average. Our first and last time here.

Kara Nolan

Christina Willis

Food was great! As well as the atmosphere.

Althea Williams

Wonderful servers, they accomadeted our seating of 11 by putting tables together. It was service with a smile!!

Christy Sholes

Yes, the fried chicken is absolutely delightful, and the sides are great too (though the horseradish mashed potatoes are more smashed than mashed in my opinion), but the one thing you must order is "The Mule." I am a Moscow Mule fanatic, and this place's version is exceptional. It's also huge, which is always a plus in my book. Seriously, it's a must try.

Alex Griffin

Good food, sometimes the wait is a little long. And is not always consistent, however over all a great place.

Reg Bowser

The chicken is delish especially with that spicy honey! Have never had a dish I didn't like here and the staff is pretty cool too!

Joel Jones

Great beer and great food. They have a short and sweet menu, but everything is amazing. They are most known for their chicken sandwich. I find it to be pretty spicy, so be prepared. It's a small spot, so there tends to be a wait during peak hours. There are tons of options for valet parking around. There is also a couple parking garages and flat surface lots around. They do have TVs for most sporting events.

Food was good, my bacon appetizer came out cold and thick with cooled grease on it. Someone accidentally leaned back against the fire extinguisher causing the room to fill with choking smoke. Our server did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to assist with the situation other than saying someone leaned against it. My date and I took the liberty of opening the locked patio doors to let out the smoke rolling in from the adjacent room. We stood outside for at least 15 mins with several other patrons expecting someone to maybe guide us to a part of the restaurant without smoke, NOPE. The server came with our food and offered to seat us on the patio where wind blew rain from the wet tree limbs above us. She simply sat it on our table and asked did we need anything further. She was blandly pleasant as though she didn't quite hate her job but staying cordial enough to keep it. She checked on us several more times & promptly brought our check upon seeing us no longer consuming food. The manager made no effort to come around and reassure patrons of this being an accident. Ppl were still choking, including myself, as we left. So NO we apologize let me thank you for your continued business. Have a blessed day was how we were greeted as we exited. Although the sandwich was very nice, I can't say I would be in any rush to run back down there.

Lisa Scott

The chicken tasted old and the Mac n cheese was not good. I've eaten here when they first open and the food was very, very good. I don't know what happen for the change. I will give them another try.
