So good!
The best fried rice I've ever had. Fantastic service and great entertainment. I will definitely be coming back. Also good Japanese beer!
Great atmosphere and service.
Food wasn't cooked right. Medium well ended up being medium rare. It all tasted bland. Rice wasn't good either. It was soggy. Forgot to bring out drinks. Go to a different hibachi.
Good food
Food and building are really nice. The server/service wasn't great though.
The atmosphere is great and the Toro (fatty tuna) was like eating the fish version of A1 wagyu. The miso soup was Souper too really. My waiter was polite and helpful. I'd recommend this place for sure.
Great food (I recommend the dynamite sushi roll and the habachi chicken and shrimp) and great service (we get the same great level of customer service on peak Fridays as we doing on a week night). Soho is our go-to place for Asian cuisine. I agree they are pricey but you get what you pay for. If you want food that not even food, go to McDonald's. If you want fresh food, cooked right, go to Soho.
One of my favorite resturaunts in the area
Great food and atmosphere!! Dana was an excellent waitress and Casey was an excellent hostess. The chef was very friendly, courteous and animated while cooking all our food in front of us. Great portions given the price.
Great time at the hibachi!
Fantastic food, but everything else not so much. Made reservations for my best friends bachelorette party. The waitress asked who we were celebrating, and we replied. Well needless to say every other cook gave an awesome show except the one for the bride. He rushed through and acted less than excited to be there. Extremely disappointing. Plus service took forever. Everyone was done eating and we were still waiting on 3 drinks ordered 30 minutes before. While waiting the manager kept coming around pretty much trying to get us to leave. When the drinks finally came, less than a minute later he was over asking if we were done. Terrible terrible terrible. Fix your service and you'd be a much better restaurant.
Do not order online. It does not work. Food is good though.
Great hibachi. Really a lot of fun, and the food was really good. A somewhat loud, raucous crowd cheering. It was a great time! We will be back soon!
Great food! Try it and you will return.
My favorite place for Japanese food
Sushi and service was good, wish they had more of a habachi selection.
Awesome.
Delicious fresh food and really fun atmosphere
Good food, good atmosphere. A little pricey compared to others, but worth it.
Really cool experience. All the chefs wore ninja headbands. Would definitely go again
This place is fantastic!! The portions are huge, the staff is welcoming and attentive, and the chefs are so entertaining. Will be coming back both for sushi and hibachi.
The better of the two similar style restaurants in the immediate area in my opinion. We chose to sit at a table rather than at a cooking table. The food was delicious! The people at the grill side tables sounded like they were having a good time as well.
Excellent meal, well prepared in front of us.
Pretty decor, great food and service.
The staff is friendly and the food is great. If you like hibachi style food then I would recommend going here.
Terrible we have been sitting here for 2 hours not a thing on my plate. DO NOT GIVE THEM A CENT!!!!
Very good food. Great service.
We love Soho probably the best sushi in West Chester highly recommend.
Expensive and mediocre. I will not return. Better Japanese restaurants elsewhere.
I love Soho so much they have Tippenyaki and just a normal space.
Service was a little slow but they just opened, chef was very entertaining kids loved him, food was great.
Delicious hibatchi and you get a lot of food for the price! So much better than other hibachi places on the same block!
Good food
This was a great experience -our chef was very talented. He had a lot of different tricks that kept the kids at our table entertained. The portions were generous and the ingredients were high quality. My only problem was that the yum-yum sauce was a little bland. The service was very good. At 5pm on a Saturday , they were busy but the two of us were seated without a wait. Would recommend reservations for larger parties. They had tai-pan seating, regular seating and tea house seating. They also had a full bar and a really attractive sushi bar.
Chef made our meal to perfection!
Great food. Hibachi was fresh and delicious. Definitely a nice restaurant addition in West Chester
We had an hour wait and the food was just ok. Our chef was nice and tried hus best to entertain us. I think we were just too hungry. I think 2.5 instead of 3 stars would be most appropriate.
Nice place
The sushi rolls are amazing, and the hibachi filet is the best we've ever had. Get it rare, it almost melts in your mouth. This is a beautiful place, especially by the waterfall/pond. And the service is excellent and very friendly.
Love the service with a heart beat and I can't ignore how good the wine was , but let me just say this is not how you cook a salmon ! Salty like I took the left over to taste my buds again.. yes my friends salty and well done salmon like The Who ever made it wasn't even thinking of $35 dollars plate I'm eating . Sorry never again
Always had good food there until today. My daughter and I went for the lunch menu both having steak. My daughters was rare not well done and the food was so salty it was hard to eat. After we left we were both ill and now my daughters five week old baby is vomiting after breastfeeding. Very disappointing
Beyond annoyed and frustrated. Used to love coming but after spending over 150$ on take out, topping and told it would be 20-25mins and yet I've been waiting inside here cashed out for over an hour told many times it will.be just a minute what is going on?! Beyond disappointed...never again!
Great sushi. Great customer service. My regular shushi stop.
Great time
Great food but is a little pricey.
Great food and excellent service
Lotta fun, good food
We chose the hibachi grill (there is traditional seating available, though I cannot speak that experience) and our chef was very entertaining. The show was unique and funny; he was very skilled. The food was very good as well. Even though the food is not cheap (expect to pay at least $30ish per person at the hibachi) this restaurant is definitely worth the price.
Fantastic place.... Great food....super service..
Great atmosphere, hibachi was excellent. We had fun!
I’ve been coming here since it opened. For family celebrations or just for a quiet dinner. The food and service is of high quality. You will leave with a doggie bag! Well at least I did...it’s so good I wish I could eat it it all! Ask for Nicole. She was awesome! She was sweet and fun and took care of our group like it was her own family!
Amazing sushi and atmosphere! Very friendly staff, highly recommended!
The food was great, the presentation was excellent! Quite the experience! Go here especially if what you are mainly looking for is an experience and a show. The yum yum sauce was also good, but there's something I can't quite describe was not as good as some other ones that I've had but this does not diminish the taste of what I enjoyed and the experience that we had.
The hibachi was fabulous. So much food and oh so delicious! I ordered the NY strip and was shocked when they cooked 2 (looked like 1/2 lb. Each) steaks per person! It was cooked to perfection and entertaining!
Great atmosphere. Good food.
Put in reservations for my mother's birthday party for 15 had an awful experience. First everything started late then half our party got there food going and eating the other half still waiting. Spoke to manger he said he would credit us well 10 percent is what we got and the waitress just disappeared basically the rest of night I guess because she figured she was getting a trip no matter how bad the service was. Which they added automatically to each of our bill 18 percent I don't gave a problem tipping but I believe you should earn it. The only thing I can say was we had good cooks once they started. This was a horrible experience will never come back nor recommend this place and crazy part is it was recommend to us by one of the members with us. She was totally upset.
A bit pricey menu, but the quality of sushi was very satisfying. Also tried yaki udon and it was amazing as well. Would definitely return.
I liked the private rooms they have and the food was awesome again. Nicole was on it for service. She made our experience great. THANK YOU!!!
Great food, great atmosphere! Love the live food preparation and performance - definitely fun for the whole family!
Food was amazing! Will definitely go back when I'm in town.
I called to make reservations 5 weeks in advance for my birthday party and wanted to rent out the tatami room. I had reservations for 10 people coming at 7pm on Sunday February 4th 2017. At 645pm on February 4th i recieved a phone call from the restaurant notifying me that due to the manager deciding to varnish the floors 2 weeks ago (and they still had not dried all the way) they would be unable to allow me and my guests to have dinner in the tatami room i had reserved 5 weeks prior. This was a huge disappointment and inconvenience to me and my guests. The manager refused to speak with me upon my arrival. After being seated elsewhere they took 10 minutes to even approach our table to put in a drink order. They did not comp my entire meal which I believe they should have given the circumstances. It's a great atmosphere and the waitresses were pleasant but it is unfortunate how management decided to handle this issue.
Had a private cook and our own table with my wife and I for our 4 year anniversary it was great food was great also
This is one of the better hibachi grills in this area. The hostess was very friendly. We had a Wednesday night reservation for 7 bc of our daughter's birthday. We called the day before and there was no issues accommodating our party. The waiter was great! We had a number of non typical requests bc of being Keto and he rolled with the punches easily. The chef on the grill was just okay tonight. His preparation of our food was spot on but he just lacked personality. Photo is of my Tuna sashimi order.
This is a great place for the family. It has become a family tradition to celebrate the kids birthdays here and it's always a fun time!
Beautiful place, nice show on the grill, our chef was a little inexperienced, but had a great attitude. The food was good, wish they had larger portions. Its a little expensive, but worth the extra money for the good showmanship of an experienced chef. The fresh wasabi is the best I have ever had!
Top notch hibachi, delicious, fresh, and great salad. The only thing I would change is the beef gyoza should be pork gyoza, other than that delicious!
This place is awesome. The food is excellent! One of the few places that serves Dom Perignon. I love the ambience and layout of the place, and the fountains and ponds are really relaxing. I love the hibachi style dinner, and the staff are great and super helpful!
Incredible experience. Great food. Fun place
Service is absolutely terrible. We have been sitting here at our table for 2 hours and there is no chef in sight. When the manager came over, all he said was that he hopes we dont leave, no apology, nothing. I will NEVER come here again. Do not give this place any of your money.
Always fun and good tasting.
My favorite place on the planet!
The food I had was good , BUT THE SERVICE AND SERVER WAS HORRIBLE 45 MIN TO GET SALAD AND SOUP
Food was good. Todd Jr was our server and he was Awesome!
The food was great!!!
Best sushi by far
Less quantity and quality of other local habachi restaurants. And over priced. Will dine elsewhere in the future.
The food was fantastic and the service was incredible. If you go i highly recommend asking for kylie she is very polite and attentive. Keep up the good wook guys. I will definitely be back
Overpriced!! I ordered shrimp and chicken for my 9yr old....they charge for the shrimp and the chicken meal not add chicken or add shrimp. Waitress was nice. The soup tasted spoiled
Over priced
My wife and I went to Soho for the first (and certainly won't be the last) time a few days ago. We were greeted warmly by the staff, and we loved how the interior was designed. Our table was right next to the waterfall and that really helped to mask conversations that were going on at other tables. Our dinner consisted of 6 different rolls of sushi and some hot sake. Everything was fantastic and the sushi tasted very fresh. Our waiter was very good even though it looked like he was taking care of almost every table that night.
Good food and lot's of fun. A new take on an old treat.
Amazing sushi. Fish that tasted so fresh it could have been caught that day
Service is 4 out of 5. Food is excellent. Get reservations for dinner.
Both food and service were excellent.
I went to Soho Japanese Bistro for my friend's birthday dinner tonight and it exceeded my expectations. The food was excellent! The service was great. I definitely recommend this restaurant and I can't wait to return.
Expensive, poor service, food is very unpalatable
It's almost criminally negligent how we were treated during our time here for my father's birthday. Our server was either depressed or just didn't know how to muster a smile for any of us. Our chef was equally as underwhelming as she was. We watched as every other table around us as they clapped and cheered and had the amazing time we weren't. The only pleasant part of the entire experience was the bartender with the green flower in her hair that we met when we arrived and had to wait to be seated 4 hour reservation. To her I say thank you. That was the most honest and real conversation I have probably ever had in a restaurant.
The chefs here are very good at what they do. They keep you entertained while cooking some of the best hibachi dishes I've had
Great food but terrible service. After other guests at our table complained the waitress became less rude but continued to make the environment uncomfortable with her bad attitude and forgetfulness. Though other tables were having fun seeing their food prepared and interacting with the chef, our table watched someone dropping things and making little effort to entertain. Very disappointing first visit, especially given the high cost of meals. Sadly, likely won't go back.
Classic soup udon
Great food and large portions.
Sat around waiting for a chef for 40 minutes. For such an expensive menu you would think they could be properly staffed.
Great lunch options, sushi is always great, and their salad dressing is the best
Food was good, service wasn't too great.
Have done both menu and hibachi and both have been excellent experiences. The hibachi chefs in particular have been great.
Food fine, typical hibachi. Service very poor. Chef even worse than that. No personality. Not worth the prices. My kids love this place for special occasions, but I will not be back.
It's always amazing when we come here.
Very good cuisine. We eat there often. Good service.
Food was okay. Last minute thing. The restaurant was a bit empty and we sat on the dining side service was okay but barely saw her.
Good food, good service
Slow service and overpriced food.
Great food, generous portions. Everything very fresh and good. Excellent service.
Great food
Very good food. Better than benihanna!
Our experience at SOHO was WONDERFUL! My husband and I celebrated our 6 year anniversary tonight. We had a 5:30 reservation and were seated right away. Our host sat us at the end. I am admittedly stubborn and wanted to have the best experience possible, so I moved to the very middle. That causes an argument with my husband because he said they needed to keep parties together. I said maybe they are smaller parties so it won’t matter. (He of course was right and it was a party of 5). Anyway, so because we argued I was put into a bad mood that the poor host had to put up with (seriously sorry!) The staff was incredible and ended up finding us a different hibachi grill to sit at. Our waitress, Jada was excellent and very attentive. I did not realize that we would end up being the only two for our table! I felt guilty!! But Philly (our hibachi chef) was incredible and very funny!! The chicken and steak with the fried rice was very good! And the sushi was very fresh. SOHO has excellent customer service, especially when dealing with an admittedly difficult customer. We will be back (and won’t gripe about the seats next time!) :) We totally tipped about 50% to make up for my poor attitude. Sorry to any staff who had to put up with me today!
Went there last night with my family for my wife's birthday. I enjoyed the night, we sat at the hibachi table, the food was good our server was very good. The food was good enough that my kids, who only eat chicken nuggets and other stand by kid food, actually ate and liked the mushroom soup, dried rice and steak and chicken. We are going back sometime in February, just need to find a babysitter so I can try the Sake.
I hate Japanese and Chinese food. My brother picked this place to go for his birthday. I hate the food here.
The food is great. The wait staff is wonderful very customer service oriented very pleasant beautiful atmosphere I would recommend to everyone that I know.
Went to the habachi side with the extended family and we really enjoyed our selves.
Great food, but the air is filled with grease from the area where chefs prepare the food at guest tables. It takes away from the atmosphere.
Awesome place for a group meal, our entertainment chef was awesome and made our experience unique. Highly recommend trying it out.
My wife and I went last night for the first time and had an amazing time! Our chef Johnny was absolutely amazing and entertaining and the manager Ian was very personable and friendly with everybody. We talked to a couple sitting next to us who have been going to Soho for years and said the experience is like that every time. The sushi roll was delicious as well as everything else. Not only will we def be going back but cant wait to!!!! Best place around
Very entertaining lunch! Fresh and delicious.
Comfortable nice surroundings with moving water decor. Good shish kebab.
The food and decor was amazing. It's a great place to eat for an authentic Japanese experience.
A real nice experience serving some of the better Eastern cuisine in the region. I can't say that there aren't better options, but you'll get your bang for your buck coming here for a classic hibachi showcase with incredibly experienced chefs.
Terrible service tonight, sat and waited, waited, waited and then left! The bar tender was cool and very knowledgeable on Japanese drinks.
Best around!! :0)
Tonight was my first time visiting Soho. The manager; Kevin; was charming and attentive. However they gave us a brand new hibachi chef for 3 seasoned hibachi connoisseurs. He took forever to cook our food and his technique was less than impressive. The food came out ok after the second time he attempted making our meats. Our waitress was also kimd amd attentive. I'd come back to Soho with request that my food be served by an experienced and enthusiastic chef.
Went for lunch, very slow service even though there were only 4 other tables with guests. Service was so slow I thought of leaving. Lunch menu consisted of only hibachi meals and sushi. I choose the chicken hibachi lunch, at 14$ it was the lowest price lunch on the menu. I'd give the food C+, it was acceptable but not worth the price. Needless to say I won't be going back.
This place is gorgeous, I always enjoy coming here Also is family owned and operated.
Good food..good service
My family likes to come here for lunch specials. The have the freshest sushi & rolls in town! Attentive service & fair prices. Their soba noodles and teriyaki dishes are really good. Large portions! Their salad & spicy soup are good too. The only things i might not order are the mushroom & miso soup.
We stopped here just a few days ago for dinner and the whole experience was perfect. The service was amazing and we literally never went below a half cup on any of our drinks (7 people in our party). We have a rough time finding fantastic hibachi but this one we will most definitely be coming back to often. The chef was very enthusiastic about his job and performed for our party beyond what we've seen in the past.
Restaurant is decorated nicely but if you're vegan, there are no options except tofu which is not good. Absolutely no flavor added. Even though I told the server several times that I was vegan, they do not get the concept of it. I was with a group of people that were not vegan and I had to tell the hibachi chef that I did not want the fried rice but he gave it to me anyway. For vegans: they cook many eggs in it and add a glob of butter at the end. The chef was cooking the vegetables and then added another glob of butter at the end so before he started mixing that all up, I had to ask him to set aside a portion for me that didn't have butter. I felt like I had inconvenienced him. I really wanted to walk out but I stayed to be with my group. There is no reason for me to ever go back to this place.
It was an amazing experience had a great chef and a great waitress
Food is the best. Sushi is amazing. The price is a little high but, it is an exciting place to eat.
I love this place and it's our "go to" for my daughter and me. Typically a 5+ star rating. But things were off tonight. We had to ask for our waiter after being seated. He was sitting conversing with other servers in plain sight. Then made an excuse for taking so long. Spring rolls were good, avocado salad good, sushi roll was a bit dry. The seaweed rice roll didn't taste fresh. We'll definitely be back and I do recommend, especially the hibachi bar. Tonight just wasn't their best.
Oh my! Everything is delicious! Fresh wasabi makes sushi so good! I just did the lunch special but I cannot wait to go back and get more sushi!
I love the ambience. The hibachi cooking is fun and good. This is a common birthday spot, so many a times to sing Happy birthday to compete strangers. The best option is VIP if you go hibachi. The service is hit or miss depending on the assigned waitress. I do suggest you consider booth seats and ordering off menu.
We come here every year when my grandfather comes back from Florida, and it has consistently excellent cuisine and friendly staff. I highly recommend the Chicken & Filet Mignon Teppenyaki.
To me this is a hidden jewel. Food and prices are good. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because we had a new cook and he almost burned us up doing " valvano " normally the shows are very good. Ask for a cook with a red hat. They are masters of what they do.
Always good food just depends on the chef some have better personalities than others
Great service and good food. I came from Taiwan and Japanese food in Cincinnati is nothing compared to back there. But this is as good as it gets and I think the people are doing a really good job on keeping it going. Definitely recommended for people who want to have a taste of Japan.
My dear friend made reservations 5 weeks in advance for her birthday party and wanted to rent out the tatami room. She had reservations for 10 people coming at 7pm on Sunday February 4th 2017. At 645pm on February 4th she received a phone call from the restaurant notifying her that due to the manager deciding to varnish the floors 2 weeks ago they would be unable to allow her and her guests to have dinner in the tatami room she had reserved 5 WEEKS PRIOR! It was a huge disappointment, and on top of everything, the manger refused to speak with her when she arrived. The waitress was extremely nice and helpful, it's just a shame how unprofessional the manager was. He did not handle the situation well at all, and because of this I will not be returning to this establishment. #justiceforcassie
Good food with nice ambience!
Fabulous experience! Had a last minute dinner with the wife last night and we decided to go here because they have one of her favorite dishes. Little did we know that her favorite dish is NOT available on the weekends. She was crushed. Then Denise, our server, came to the rescue! She made a suggestion for us that was absolutely to die for! The dish was sooo good that now its our new favorite dish! And she topped it off with a plate of Gyoza appetizers that were so delicious that we almost ordered another plate of them. Thank you again Denise and see you soon!
Amazing service, great food and friendly employees. I love it here.
Always one of our favorite places to go. Either for date night or a night with the kids
Outstanding service, culinary delights, and cuisine!
Great food, great dining experience!
Sushi was phenomenal!
This is my favorite place for Japanese inspired food. I love getting the Udon noodles with chicken and shrimp. They load you up and it is so delicious. I always choose dinning when I go here and they never have disappointed me. This place is worth a visit for lunch or dinner and makes great for special occasions. Hands down has the BEST Udon noodles!
Love it and go at least once a week. A little pricey, but beats Benihana for Hibachi. Though located in a mall, the atmosphere inside is great with a huge waterfall on one wall. Other than the sushi, which is good, can't comment on the real Japanese food as I've never strayed from the Hibachi offerings.
Amazing dining experience.
The service and the food was excellent! Jada, our waitress was very upbeat and took care of all of our requests. The atmosphere is beautiful and the manager came to the table after we ate to make sure we were well taken care of. Will be returning!
The food was good. Servers and cook we good the wait time was a little long but it was a Saturday night. The only thing I would say I didn't care much for was the fire that's is started to get the party started it was just to much, the whole table had to sit back just not to get our face burnt off. I would definitely go back.
Excellent service. Delicious meal! Fun & engaging staff.
My favorite Hibachi in Cincinnati. A+
Great experience and food. Convenient location.
Terrible punctuality. They don't open on time. Always late.
Very fresh. Grated wasabi. Beautiful!
I enjoyed the restaurant with family and friends. The chef did a great job demonstrating his skill and the food was good. The loss of star was because the waitress never comes around to check for refills and we had to find her and ask
Food and drinks was amazing. Service was fantastic.
Sushi was not good. Shrimp tempura... the shrimp inside was grey. Tasted spoiled. Service was garbage. Couldn't get the waitress to even come back to the table. We will not be back. The floor was sticky. The mens room had a huge floor cleaner sitting inthe middle and the place smells. Just hoping I'm not going to be sick tonight.
Food was good and the atmosphere very nice. The one thing lacking was the service. A little slow and definitely lacking in some areas. Possibly new not sure but overall it was still a great experience.
