This Restaurant is classified in the category of French restaurant.
Great food, good service and a great cause. I would take customers here again! Hats off to the chef!
Very good meal and good service
What a wonderful experience! Fantastic meal, wonderful service and pleasant atmosphere. We will be back again soon!
Food and service is fantastic. Would recommend to all, although not for kids.
Excellent food and service!
Excellent meal this evening at the bar. Steamed mussels followed by roast chicken. Both phenomenal. In particular the chicken was perfectly cooked. I thought I was in France. Bon Serenite.
This place is so amazing. We didn't have high hopes, because Medina is generally lacking in the restaurant department The building is really cute. It's very clean, not too fancy not too casual. Greeted warmly immediately upon entering the building. The server Shana approached once we were settled to get our drink order. She was wonderful and knowledgeable and could pronounce all the french words we could not. Her service was kind, efficient, and genuine. They have really well crafted cocktails, an extensive wine list and really good beer. You Can get 3 Floyd's Alpha King! Oysters on the half shell, half dozen for 12 dollars no shell from the shuck either! Perfectly cooked escargot and delicious gruyere fondue. For the next course we had mussels and fries, confit duck leg and chicken paillard all were perfect. Finished off with some creme brulee, beignets, and shots of Fernet Branca. We're so excited to have such a wonderful place so close to us. We can't wait to go back eat more oysters guzzle more cocktails and try some more of their fantastic menu.
I had the pleasure of hearing Brandon Chrostowski speak about his mission and his restaurant Edwins a few years ago at a conference in Cleveland, so I was thrilled when he chose Medina as the location for Serenite! I was so taken by the …
Had Sunday brunch...great quality!
The good: the food The bad: the service The ugly: how long it will take to have a “meal” here at peak time (weekend night). I’ll give 5 stars for the food, and unfortunately 1 star for the service side of things, so I’m submitting a 3 as a composite average of those items. The food was amazing and all I hoped it would be - did not disappoint. Our server was also very friendly and did his best, but that’s not where my blame would go. To my eyes, this restaurant is really lacking some key staff training (or they may just be flat out understaffed), procedures, policies, etc to deal with a fully seated dining room. This was clear by the fact that they ran out of multiple items (not even announced at the start of the meal, but only brought to our attention after actually ordering two of those items and waiting some time only to be informed they were sold out after the server found out via the kitchen I’m sure). We had to adopt a strategy of ordering/stockpiling drinks in advance because of how long they took to get out to the table from the bar, which was within eyeshot. So everything was consistent in that sense: once anything arrived to our table, it was quite enjoyable. Downfall was simply that it took an absurd amount of time for that to happen regardless of the item in question. Almost 4 hours total for a dinner with drinks and dessert. Our company was enjoyable but we couldn’t help but joke about and laugh at the turnaround time for basic items and service. Oh yeah, we also had to wait at least 15 minutes to be seated when we showed up on time for a reservation we had in place for weeks. We were directed to the bar while we waited, but there were no seats and a round of drinks weren’t compensated - a very disappointing result and start to the night. If this place gets these operational challenges solved, the food will easily make it the best restaurant in Medina. Until I hear that’s happened by word of mouth, I can’t justify returning to pay their menu prices for an experience like I had.
We enjoyed our dinner at the companion restaurant Edwin’s in Cleveland so much last week, that we made the trip to Medina to try Sérénité. The staff was very professional and well trained. The menu selection is extensive and offers cuisine not widely available in our area. The decor is beautiful. We are looking forward to patronizing both restaurants on a regular basis in the future.
Everything was excellent except the Lobster Thermidor. The sauce had broken. The manager was extremely apologetic and offered to get me something else. I was full from all the other delicious food though. So he took my entree off the bill. Things happen sometimes and I was more than satisfied with the entire experience. I would definitely give them another try.
I was told that this place helps out those in recovery and was unsure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised at how classy the bar and dining environment is. My companion ordered coffee and said it was the best she ever had. I love the white line table service, they have a delightful cheese board-ask to see it-as well as table side service and a delicious menu. Great date spot. I will return.
We had an amazing dining experience at Sérénité Restaurant! The food was AMAZING and the staff (Heather and Taylor) were extraordinary! They were there any time we needed anything but did not hover over us. We will definitely go back and would recommend the restaurant to anyone/everyone!
Fantastic! The service was so attentive. The salad with goat cheese tart was yummy! The trout entree was perfectly cooked with sides of potato mash & delish green beans. Definitely order the banana foster! They put on a fun show cooking the dessert right in front of you. My dinner mates enjoyed the salmon (excellent) and the coq au vin. We had a wonderful evening! We will be back :)
Absolutely wonderful lobster bisque
Quite nice.
Excellent eatery
Great women's day got hair and nails done and make up
Celebrated my daughter's sixteenth birthday here last evening. A delightful experience. My girls both study French in school, and were excited to try authentic cuisine. The restaurant itself is charming, housed in what appeared to me to be a converted home. I liked the old fashioned decor and polished wood floor. It made me feel like I was in a quaint European bistro. Our hostess/server was a lovely young lady who also studies French. She was so warm and accommodating, fulfilling special requests, attempting conversational French with my daughters, answering questions, etc. We ordered several dishes, and treated it as a tasting event. Everything was marvelous, so rich and flavorful. We enjoyed escargot, a goat cheese tarte and scallops in a shrimp sauce for entrèes. Mains were: venison with sweet potato purèe in pastry, coq a vin, vegetables Napoleon and duck confit. That was my personal favorite. The duck was so moist and sumptuous, and the risotto creamy and perfect. I'd definitely get that again. During the main course the Chef came out to greet us, chatted, kindly answered our questions, shook hands all around, and wished my daughter a happy birthday. That made us feel very special. For dessert we tried raspberry sorbet, chocolate mousse, and creme brulee. We also splurged on Bananas Foster prepared tableside. My kids were pretty impressed with the spectacle. They'd never had that kind of restaurant experience before. The food was outstanding, and we had a fabulous evening. I'm also impressed with the culinary program at this establishment and how it benefits the community.
Love ,working ,eating ,and being here
Tremendous food and staff, I'll be there a lot.
Nice place to eat with good food and good service
Great food and experience!
Great food, excellent service, friendly staff.
Delicious!! Excellent service! 5 stars!!?
We moved to Medina about 6 months ago and have been a little disappointed in our dining options. So glad we found Serenite! Food was very good and the service was friendly and efficient. We will be back soon!
Is there a six star option? -Ed.
The service was fantastic, banana foster was great table side but overpriced on the food selections
Had a wonderful brunch today 4/7 . Great food great service, Rick was great. We will be back.
Probation meeting place. T4AC
Amazing food and even better service! The atmosphere is cozy and the mission of the restaurant is the best part.
Excellent experience! I loved the attention to detail throughout!
This is an amazing place. The old building is beautiful. We only had brunch, which was good and presented well. We are always looking for good French food, so after seeing this on the news, had to go. The concept of doing such a great job of helping people better themselves while learning new skills is awesome. The staff, every single one of them was friendly, kind, worked as a team and strived for perfection. We were there on Sunday 3/17 (just so those who were there that day) and will definitely be back for dinner. Great job....
Sérénité was such a lovely place! Our hostess, waiter, and manager were all so polite, friendly, and attentive. Not to mention the food was fantastic! The filet there is excellent, very juicy and flavorful. Would recommend this place to anyone!
Good food and pleasant staff.
I took my wife there for dinner and the food was perfect. The only thing I would change are the notes describing the story behind Serenite. The important things - good, service, atmosphere - were excellent. It's a bit embarrassing to read about the employees while being served by them; and it really doesn't matter.
Just had one of the best fillets of my life. Great food, great service, great drinks... Perfect evening. We will be back
Phenomenal people great service I loved it definitely recommended you go to :)
Very nice good food
Really good shrimp cocktail and bananas foster
My wife works here
Food was fantastic. Melissa and I enjoyed several items on the menu. Our server was attentive and delightful. We are looking forward to our next visit. Good work!
Lovely spot off the main square in Medina. Food was excellent.
First time there, and like the decor in this newer restaurant in historic building. Service, wine and appetizers (artichokes, escargot) were very good. However, our entrees were just ok.
Had dinner there last night and our meals were excellent! I will be back for more delicious food. Great service too.
The service was great. We wish the service was as good at other restaurants we go to as it was here. Rick, our waiter, was prompt but not hovering, The food was excellent. We had the mussels appetizer which was the special and enough for a meal. The trout, salmon, and fillet were all cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back and will tell all our friends.
Dinner was awesome! Staff is super friendly, food was good enough to kill for. Atmosphere is cozy, albeit a bit reminiscent of its former. Wine selection is crazy huge. Went for the new year's eve dinner. Lobster thermador was rich, creamy, and piping hot. Scallops were cooked perfect, sauce was killer. Creme brulee was also very good. 11/10 would always recommend!
Our 4 meals were MARGINAL at best. NO COMPARISON to EDWINS
We will be back! Excellent service and exceptional food! A GREAT addition to Medina's food scene.
Lovely atmosphere, extremely nice and helpful staff, food was amazing!!!
Honestly, the best dinner I've had in a long time. Service was superb. Food was outstanding. Bananas Foster is a definite must!
I love this place! Great servers fantastic food and excellent beer selection and wine. I had a real Kolsch beer straight from the middle of Germany. Very exciting. Enjoy! Nice old tavern feel and Authentic Decour.
We went in the other night for starters and liked the choices. I took a chance on the salmon patê and drew a wonderful comparison to the patê from Deep Springs. I was very impressed. My companion ordered the macaroni and cheese and not only was the presentation unique, the dish was delicious and filling. For dessert we enjoyed the creme brulee which had just the right amount of caramelization and the custard was cooked just right. We also indulged in the table side bananas foster. It's a real treat if you've never had it. This is a must try! The staff was so courteous and kind, helpful and cared about working together. This was a great experience and I will certainly be back soon.
Delicious food and great service. We will return with friends.
Food is horrible.. Very salty. Service was slow and rude... Guess it is to be expected considering the hired help... Would have addressed issues if there was a true manager present.. If this is how you treat paying customers who have had issue with their dining experience, taste of food and slow service as I already addressed it shouldn't be long before you can turn off the lights..... And just because they are trying to turn their life around doesn't mean that the food and service will please everyone. In your words.. Way to keep it classy, thank you for your response and showing what you are really all about..
Delicious food steak diane was amazing. Great atmosphere. Fantastic service. Love how they're giving back to the community.
Fabulous restaurant. Excellent food and wine. Our favorite.
What an outstanding dining experience! A one of a kind gem for our area, and a story of community that is worth supporting. Excellent food and service. Everything we ordered was fantastic - filet and roasted chicken main courses, Coquilles St. Jacques and cheese sampler appetizers. It's a drive for us, but we'll be going back.
Fabulous meal and exceptional service.
We enjoyed our dinner. The food was wonderful and the service was special.
Service and ambiance were very good, food was excellent. The charcuterie was delicious.
The food was fantastic and the service even better! Best meal since moving here from Chicago...six years ago! The escargot appetizer was to die for!
Congratulations to Sérénité Restaurant in Medina! The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation and the staff was excellent. And all this while providing career opportunities for individuals in recovery who need a second chance.
Sérénité Restaurant is absolutely fabulous. My mother and I had the best dinner together. The food was fantastic. The service was top notch. Everyone was so kind and attentive. We had such a nice evening. Thank you Sérénité. Very best regards, Robbie Meckler Shooting Star Aviation
Because the menu is so diverse, we decided to eat our way through it one night and make is a special event. We had 4 appetizers (frog legs, escargot, charceuterie and oysters), and all were delicious. For dinner we had trout, scallops, rabbit and steak frites. Again, everything was so good. For dessert, we tried the cheese platter and bananas foster cooked right at the table. We each had a unique signature cocktail, and shared a bottle of wine. The evening was amazing. The owner introduced himself to us, and he couldn't be more kind and accommodating, and in turn introduced us to the chef. And, the staff was great and quite knowledgeable. If you're on the fence about visiting Sérénité, don't give it a second thought. The restaurant, and its purpose, is wonderful. Welcome to Medina, Sérénité. We're so happy you're here!
Very good service
Very friendly people, great food and overall a very classy place to eat that's not right in Cleveland.
Professional service! Have to say this is the best service I have experienced in US for 6 years. The food is Amazing!!!!!!!!!! 5 stars with no doubt!
Excellent must try.
An amazing and classy bistro with a great cause. This is a must try if you are in Medina for lunch or dinner.
The food is just phenomenal! We had a great time and enjoyed everything about it. The scallops were amazing and we all loved the brussels sprouts!
2 5 star reviews. First was David N. We came back solely because of him and it was wonderful both times. He knew how to describe everything and what it would taste like. Gave us texture examples of food (having autism that is a huge help, as certain textures are bothersom). Was just a huge help to being a first timer. Second was with Jason T(?). We came back expecting to ask for David but he wasn't there so we went with Jason. He was great at his knowledge of wines as well as his knowledge of the food. I felt we made very informed decisions and left with great meals because of it instead of just picking something and hating it. Very pleased. Both were great and highly recommended.
Unpretentious well crafted French cuisine in a comfortable atmosphere. Will definitely go back.
Wonderful staff. Fabulous food. This is a wonderful program worth supporting. Lobster bisque is better than any I've had anywhere else.
The food was excellent but pricey. The service was also very courteous and attentive without being overbearing. I had the scallops with fingerling potatoes and spinach. It was delicious as was the garden salad I ordered ala carte with a house made dressing. The bread was also piping hot and really tasty. There is parking behind the restaurant. They have an extensive wine list. I would recommend this restaurant for a special occasion--it had great ambience.
Good start on brunch, but need more variety to keep folks coming back
Out standing food and service...the food pairings were great...scallops in shrimp sauce...salmon with horseradish...cheese tart wonderful..we will certainly be back
Food is phenomenal!
Everything was perfect
Service was wonderful, however the steaks we're dry and tasteless.
Awesome Anniversary dinner. Great food, service and atmosphere. Jason was an awesome waiter.
We visited for lunch and Richard took wonderful care of us. Had the nicoise salad, croque monsieur and vegetable soup, as well as creme brulee and beignets for dessert. Everything was delicious, and they have something for everybody (I often eat vegan). I can't recommend this place highly enough! Their mission is wonderful as well, and it's a win-win for everyone!
