I really enjoy Deepam both for the food and the grocery. It is my preferred place to pick up spices. The bulk spices are much more reasonably priced than at the chain grocery stores nearby where you pay for the bottle. As for the food, everything I've tried has been excellent.

Love this place. The owner was extremely friendly; she showed my mother and sister (new to Indian cuisine) everything at the deli and made recommendations based on the ingredients and how spicy they were. The service was top notch and we bought some groceries on our way out because we were so happy with our visit for dinner. I thought the food was delicious and I can't wait to start trying recipes on my own, once I pick up all the spices I need from Deepam.

I've been coming here for years and I can't think of a higher quality and inviting place to dine in the Toledo area. Every time I come in I'm treated like family and the wonderful spices being cooked in the kitchen make me feel at home. There are avariety of choices that are packed full of flavor and there's something for everyone to enjoy whether you're vegan, vegetarian or omnivorous. This place is truly a toledo area gem and should be experienced over and over again. I highly suggest the masala dosa. You won't be disappointed.

Sadly the selection of Indian restaurants in Toledo is slim. This was recommended as the best. And contrary to what people said, it was overpriced for the pre-made sauces and any Indian food ingredients. We also tried the deli section with cooked food. We got the rice dishes and the Masala Dosa and the normal Dosa. The rice dish was tiny and for nearly $10 was massive waste of money. Also the Dosa was oily and the Sambar tasted like it was extremely watered down and tasted nothing like what a real Dosa should. And I've had Dosa in India where it originates. The dosa also took nearly 45 minutes for them to make, which is ridiculous... It shouldn't take that long. Also only one person was working there. I've been there a couple times and it has been a similar experience everytime.

A great little shop for Indian delights. Includes prepared food options as well as almost endless grocery and frozen food options. Really good prices. There are a couple modest tables with chairs to eat there if you like, but most will probably take out. Very friendly customer service and a welcoming atmosphere. If you like Indian food and culture this is a must stop for you. These are the kind of boutique grocers we should support and not just let the big chain grocers get all the business. Enjoy!

Very helpful staff serving authentic, made in house foods. Answering all of our questions with a smile. Zero problems with communication. Vegetarian and non Veg options. The samosas were delicious! Also a very nice selection of groceries and spices. Spotlessly clean store where attenton to detail seems to be paramount. I Highly recommend!

The salads are amazing as is all the other food. She runs out of the salads fast and only makes them on Wednesdays and Saturdays. This is a wonderful jewel. The owner is always friendly and so accommodating. We thoroughly enjoy coming.

Went to go get some lychees,my mouth was so ready for them and when I got there they looked some what dry and old, but I was still going to give them a try since the greeter told me they were ripe and juicy, and as I'm picking through them what do I see mold nahhhhhhhh no thanks and I walked out

This is a great little store/restaurant. It's predominantly an Indian food store but they also serve lunch and dinner and have a few casual seats if you want to eat-in. Wonderful ethnic food! The staff is very friendly and the prices seem cheap.

Deepam India has a wide variety of products at reasonable prices. There is a small restaurant space, fresh produce, frozen foods, spices, sauces & chutney, sweet & savory snacks, heat & eat prepackaged meals, teas. The staff was helpful & friendly, even carrying my purchases out to the car.

Very nice store, welcoming and friendly owners and staffs-great hospitality, price better (cheaper) than any other Indian grocery stores in Toledo area. Good healthy foods in the restaurants at good prices. They give 10% discounts for students and also do free delivery. Clean. Looks small but you will get everything you need. Nepali famous spices timmur (szechwan pepper) and bire-noon (rock-salt) are also found. Highly recommend this place.

This is a really great store. It has wonderful selection of spices, rices, and other foods. Can't beat their spice prices. We won't every but spices anywhere else because they are so reasonable here. The people are very friendly here as well.

We got the tika masala and the chicken curry. With lemon rice and cumin rice. Also got some samosas. Very good. Fed 5 people for $47.00 which is not a bad price. We will be back.

Small Indian store for all your immediate groceries need. Nothing as fancy but you get all major cooking needs and also they serve hot curries and sweets to buy according to size of box you need. A nice and decent Indian groceries store in the area of Toledo.

Not worth stopping here for shopping. They have both Deli and grocery in the same premises. The grocery section is very very small and has very less selections. Can't find many items that a usual Indian household need. We tried a Masala Dosa in their Deli section. It was good and worth for the cost of it.

The best Indian grocery in Toledo. When I need a fix of Indian food, this is where I shop. Prices are reasonable, good selection. Merchandise needs to be displayed better. Staff could be a bit more informative about items that Americans are not familiar with.

We went there once so far and it couldn’t have been a better experience! The lady was the sweetest and took her time talking with us. Very friendly! They are owner operated and yes, it might take a little bit to get served, but once it’s your turn it is a great experience ☺️ Will be back for more samosas for sure, the lime rice is delicious as well!

Poor service is my reason for my low rating. I went in with a Groupon ready to get the lamb curry (one of my favorite dishes); however was told I could not apply my Groupon towards that (though they never specified in the fine print that there was any dishes excluded from this offer). I returned my Groupon and will most likely never try this restaurant in the future, which is a disappointment since they were so close to my home.

The owner/employee at the time was an absolute joy and very knowledgeable about the ready to eat food, and showed me all the vegan options! I even bought a beautiful Ganesh statue along with my meal. A truly cozy, welcoming place and staff.
