Food is pretty good usually. Unfortunately, it will more often than not come out cold, over-cooked or wrong but they do try to make it up to you. Service is extremely slow. If you've got kids with you bring them crackers.

The food is good but overpriced for the quality, and the customer service is unfortunate. Mashed potatoes are instant, and "seasonal vegetables" are your typical generic frozen stuff. Gross. This is our second time attending and we were not pleased with the incompetency among the staff. You absolutely do not get what you're paying for.

Terribly slow service. 7 very dirty plates were brought to our table. Two long hair on one entree. Cold Calzones. They did not even comp the hairy entree. Just not a good experience and they were not even busy. We have been there 3 times in the last year and all 3 times was ridiculous so I am finally posting a negative review after giving them the benefit of the doubt.

Nice facility, nice staff, ok food. The restaurant itself is very large and spacious with lots of TV's airing all of the current sports games. The walls are covered in sports memorabilia and the windows are large. Great lighting and not loud. The food is ok, nothing great. The appetizer was the best part - fried pickles wrapped in cheese and fried inside of a wonton. The rest was nothing that you couldn't make at home yourself and taste better. Service was great and they were fast... Alex our waiter was very efficient, friendly, and kind. If you want a quick meal with great atmosphere and nice folks or you would just like to watch a game and grab a drink and appetizer - this is the place.

A fantastic experience all the way around. Wife and I came in to town later in the day, but wanted a nice sit down meal instead of something fast. We did a locate near our hotel, and this was just down the street. We were expecting Bar food, Beers, and TV's. We got all that, and so much more. Food was PERFECT, Service was super friendly, fast, and respectful, and for a "sports bar" the atmosphere felt more like a nice steakhouse with a playful spark. Highly recommend.

We went for New Year's Eve what a waste. Reserved a booth on bar side got there no reservations. Sat on other side where nothing was happening. No decorations (boring) Buffet O.M.G what a sloppy presentation and cold food, server at prime rib acted rude and what floating appetizers. For our first time no thanks we should of went to our all time spot Applebee's! Yea you played us Player's.

Players has a decent selection of menu items, but their service tends to be middling. I don't know if the staff isn't trained as well, but I've found that even when I go there during off-peak-hours, getting refills and such can be a challenge. Their large-group banquet meals seem to be cafeteria-style canned corn, roast, and powdered mashed potatoes--not at all the customized "gourmet" fare that you'll find on the menu.

Enjoyable dinner with my mother. I ordered salad, salmon and a baked potato. Really enjoyed the salad and potato. The salmon was decent. My mom had the ribeye and really enjoyed it (it was severed rare instead of medium rare but that's ok). We had great service as well.

The service was terrible. Took over 30 minutes to get a med rate steak, a room temperature potato and a mixture of cold raw vegetables. Not once did our server apologize for the time it was taking even though the place was dead and not once did she ask how our food was. Left there and went to Taco Bell where we received great service from someone that understands the art of customer care.

My husband and I had been traveling all day and had come to our stop for the night, we decided to eat here as it was the only place that wasn't fast food that was open. We came in an hour before close, we could have easily eaten and been out before. Could not find any staff. When we finally found someone, I ordered a grilled cheese and a margarita and my husband ordered a French dip with the players fries. I figured you couldn't go wrong with a grilled cheese.. I was wrong. It was disgusting. To describe my margarita in one word would be horrifying. My husband said his French dip was edible but the fries were disgusting. The serever was friendly and also didn't charge me for the margarita.

Decadent Dishes. Superior Service. Inspiring Interior. Need I say more? Our hostess lead us to our table immediately. Are waitress received are drink order and brought them quickly. I Countinue to be impressed. Staff is great! Smothered burrito is awesome, green apple mango margaritas were very tasty. Always clean... my favorite date spot. Plus kids love the pizza!

I don't know why there are so many negative reviews. I thought our waiter was attentive and he made sure to check up on us often. Overall, the service was great. OMG the elk burger is DELICIOUS! They have a huge selection of beers on tap too. I'll be coming back soon.

Update 15MAR17: Food quality has gone downhill. Ordered a $30 meal that came out cold. Service from Tim was superb but there’s no excuse for cold food. Horrible food-primarily b/c their supplier delivers them less-than-stellar quality raw ingredients, decent desserts. Typical sports bar with nice sports atmosphere but that’s about all they have going for them.

Best Salmon Filet I've had in a while, and the Mozzarella Sticks were awesome. My wife was surprised by the great taste of the Enchilada. Our server Amanda was very friendly and accommodating. Would enjoy dinner again there soon.

I was pleasantly surprised when I ate at Player's for the first time! The staff are friendly, the atmosphere good, and the food excellent. They messed up on my order but were super helpful and quick about rectifying it. Their fish and chips are amazing! :)

Every time I go to Player’s it is an awesome experience. The food is always amazing and the servers are always great and friendly. The General Manager Courtney is extremely friendly and I see her running around talking with customers making sure their expectations are met, if something needs corrected she makes sure it’s taken care of right away. Great place to take the family!

We had a party of 6, which included 2 younger kids. We sat at the closest table to the kitchen entrance (on the dining room side) along the north wall of the restaurant which has the wall length bench seating. CONS: -Due to our proximity to the kitchen where the dirty dishes would be collected, it could get ear-splittingly loud. This is the ONLY reason I gave 4 stars. I never actually saw the dishes which was great but wow we could all hear them! -It's pricier than other bar & grill joints but that wasn't enough to take away a star because the pros (listed below) outweighed the higher prices. PROS: -Our waitress, Rocky (which wasn't the name on our receipt but I'm not going to reveal what that name was), was upbeat, smiling, and happy every time she came to our table. She was consistently on top of taking care of us. The service she provided is exactly what I expect when dining out, no matter what restaurant it is. She earned respect and a top spot in my book! -I'm assuming he was a manager, I didn't get his name, also stopped by our table to make sure everything was as we'd expect, which it was. I see this as a big deal. It shows management actually cares about their customers experience's. That kind of management tends to have a trickle down effect on the rest of the staff, which showed during our visit. -The food was really good. My uneaten half of enchilada (that thing was gigantic, it'll definitely fill you up!) will provide me with another meal later on. Everyone else I was with was also satisfied with their food. There were absolutely no issues with our food. -The atmosphere and cleanliness were good, no problems there. None of us used the bathroom so I can't vouch for that. Overall, it was a fantastic visit. The ear-splitting dish noise was the only issue any of us experienced.

I tried out Players while in town on business. An impressive venue not only for Dickinson, but for anywhere. Lots of selection on the menu, but I had a burger which was excellent. A friend had their Wood-Fired Pizza and that was tasty as well. Service was good and prices were fair. I would recommend this spot to anyone as a good restaurant, and a great place to watch Sports in the bar area-nice atmosphere!

The building itself is nice and the atmosphere was great. Lots of TVs showing several different games. Service was excellent throughout our time there. With our waiter giving several sugestions. I would however not rate my meal very high. My steak was good and prepared as ordered however my sides fell flat. My mash potatoes were very salty and Ive never tasted Blue Cheese like I had there...not in a good way.

As a single diner, I was actually pampered. The host was very attentive, not only making sure I was seated in a place that would be enjoyable, but made it a point to visit my table during my meal. I am a business traveller by car and this establishment made me feel special. Oh BTW, the food is great and they have a wide selection of beer, wine and cocktails. If you are in Dickinson, this is the place to go.

This establishment is amazing! Starting with the architecture, its bright and open. High ceilings help with that. Despite the openness of the floor plan, once at a table, it feels remarkably cozy and private. The food is amazing! I cant speak for the herbivores out there, but as a consummate carnivore, I can tell you their steaks and other selections are phenomenal. Not marinated, expertly cooked to your liking. Portions are generous without being overwhelming. As far as adult libations...wow! Everything from the lightest beer to the finest bourbon. Do yourself a favor, go visit Players.

With a family of 6, service and food usually takes a while at other places but our server was very friendly and nice even to the kids. I ordered the 3 alarm pizza and it was by far the best pizza ever. The prices and portions for the kids menu were good too. We'll definitely be going back

Met my husband for lunch. Not enough staff available and the place was fairly busy for a Friday afternoon. Waited 20+ minutes to place an order and only when we reminded her we would like to. I understand it was not the waitresses fault as she was the only person handling about 30 patrons. Order came out missing items and never received my drink. Just average. Everything we had came premade out if a bag. My salad was fresh but just a standard salad mix with presliced apples. The prime rib sandwich was tender enough but the fries were the same as the ones in my fridge. I would recommend trying the pizza, burgers, or steak they looked pretty good when other customers ordered them. The service was pretty friendly and the food came out quickly.

Stacy or Stacie the event manager and Wayne are the only good thing about my second experience. My opinion but I am not sure how anyone would like the food here. Just that nobody knows what good food is in this state

After tipping this place well and frequenting for over a year, was here with a group. Normally someone in the group picks up the entire tab. Well 2 out of 4 people left and the other person and I left shortly thereafter- had like 1/2 beer to finish after the first pair left. We left unknowingly that the first two ppl had only picked up theirs portion of the tab. Between the other guy and me, there was $40 left over ($20 each) Instead of waiting until the next time we came in...the genius manager calls and filed a police report....over $40. Could not believe it. Had tipped nearly 100% close to every time I had been there and no...we weren’t raucous causers. Plus the food is mediocre at best. Prices and customer service as if it’s booming still.

Slowwww service. Had to wait too long multiple times to find our server walking around. Super cold in there. Many people had their winter coats still on inside. Food was pretty decent. Great service. Good food at a reasonable price. Try the byob (build your own burger). Sodas and tea are unlimited refill. Coke and Pepsi products both. Alcohol products also available in the restaurant. If you have a couple hours to spare for a meal, you can't go wrong here.
