The staff was accommodating and attentive. I have no complaints about the service whatsoever -- these are some very sweet people. However, the food was not my favorite. The butter chicken had chunks of cartilage and crunchy bits throughout. It was almost inedible. My boyfriend got the goat curry, which is served in pieces that were not deboned. He stated the work it took to remove the bones (which were in shards, not whole bones) was not worth buying the food. Other than that, the atmosphere and service were fantastic.

This is one of the best indian/Pakistani food place in Fargo. I was skeptical before coming here because of the fact that Fargo has no large indian/pakistani community, but when I had their lunch buffet, I was blown away. They have Delicious food items, wide variety of food, vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian, price is very reasonable, host and staff members are very welcoming, humble people. Interior and seating very nice, pretty, spacious place.

Love this place! Moved to Fargo this fall and have already been here several times. The food is amazing and the staff is very nice and keeps a good eye on your drink for refills. Highly recommend the lunch buffet especially --- all the food is great and the price is more than reasonable.

I can't emphasize enough how much I love Passage to India! As a vegetarian, I love all the incredibly tasty options on the menu and the buffet (bonus points for clearly separating vegetarian/non-vegetarian foods). I have heard the meat options are good as well, but can't testify personally on them. The service is great, atmosphere is great as well, and for a buffet (during the lunch hour) it is amazingly clean and classy! I would seriously eat here everyday if I could budget it. As a bonus, there is a small portion of the restaurant where you can buy ingredients to make your own Indian dishes at home, and they offer some not so easy to find frozen veggies in the back, you just have to ask for them!

I've eaten here twice now, with my aunt, and everything we've both ordered has been delicious. The best coffee shake, mango lassii, and sweet lassi I've ever had. She has to eat gluten-free and they have been very accommodating. I've eaten Indian food all over the country and never had any better than here.

Wonderful place to eat. Greeted promptly and warmly by professional staff. We ordered appetizers and due to the extra wait for the cook time they gave us complimentary bread while it cooked. Didn't take very long to receive our orders and the food was delicious. Great blend of taste and spice, and they gave my daughter complimentary cake. Staff was very friendly.

My favorite restaurant in Fargo! I don't think it's possible to order something that doesn't taste amazing! The staff are super helpful (they give great suggestions if you're new to the cuisine as well). I can't say enough great things. If you're on the fence,try it! You won't be disappointed! Side note:the prices are not "high". They serve family style so the price averages out to what you would spend at any other restaurant.

We had a delicious dinner here while visiting Fargo. We ordered the chicken tikka, garlic naan, and momos to share. The waitress brought several sauces for dipping. Not sure what they were, but the yellow curry? one was our favorite. The chicken was tender and flavorful. We opted for brown rice which was good. We ordered the vegetable momos. They were crunchy on the inside and soft on the outside. We finished almost all of what we ordered and were very satisfied.

I do not have any basis for comparison as far as Indian food but the taste and flavor were fantastic. There was a group of 10 of us with a variety of plates chosen and we all enjoyed the food. The beer was a generous size and good flavor as well. Price was average and not overpriced for the amount of food we were served. This is on my list of places to come back to!

Never thought we would find delicious authentic Indian food in the middle of North Dakota, let alone at an Indian buffet. As the saying goes, with a style cuisine such as Indian food, you know it is good when you see it packed with the local Indian population in Fargo. Food was hot and hit the spot. Reminded us of many delicious Indian restaurants back in California we've had many times.

The de facto king of Indian in Fargo since India Palace stopped serving a buffet. The variety on the buffet here is amazing and they are always changing it up a bit with the items each time I've been here since India Palace stopped having a buffet. Thanks to that stoppage, Passage has been able to fill that role beautifully!

Indian food was good. I had the chicken tikka masala and it was really tasty. I would have liked it to have a bit of a kick, but there wasn’t any heat. My husband had the Briyani and really enjoyed it. That did have a bit of a kick. My niece had the shrimp tikka kabob and the shrimp were large and well cooked. Garlic naan bread was really good. Service at this establishment was very unusual and not the best. We had to request sodas as they kept forgetting them. Took a while to take our order. Food came out relatively fast.

The lunch buffet is pretty good. It includes South Indian food (like idli & Sambar) which is not there at other restaurants. I gave 3 stars for a couple of reasons: - Some of the staff make personal comments and act over familiar with regular customers to the point of things getting uncomfortable. Please ask them not to comment on people's eating habits and general behavior. Being friendly is one thing and getting personal is another. - The price for the to-go buffet is ridiculous!!!! The cashier conveniently charged almost double the price. How about removing that option all together if you don't want customers to take the buffet to-go? He also did not mention price difference before I packed all the food.

For those new to Indian food, the menu has a great page explaining how to order (eg eating a curry with rice & bread, not alone), and the staff is very happy to answer questions.

We used to go to this restaurant pretty regularly and sometimes we brought our 2 kids with us. The staff has always been unpleasant to us. Now we no longer go here because one of the staff pretty much kicked us out one day before we even set down. He said that they don’t serve kids and that maybe we should go to the China buffet or something. Mind you, my kids and I ate there couple of times in the past and it was never an issue. My kids are well disciplined, so I don’t know what the problem was. Very disappointed of the treatment we got as a paying customer.

This restaurant is the best Indian restaurant in terms of taste and quality in the Midwest. I have been going to this restaurant for years and the taste seem to get better with each visit, which is unusual for a restaurant. The portions are generous, when my wife and I order two entrees we usually have leftovers for next day. I would confidently recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants good Indian food. Above average Indian food. Decent for the price. Recommend going to the buffet. One time a friend here got food poisoning. I'm assuming the chicken tandoori wasn't cooked properly because that's the only thing our friend ate that the rest of didn't eat and the rest of us were fine. One time I got takeout and it had a piece of hair, which isn't ideal. Will try again sometime to see if it's improved in recent years.

The location is not hard time find although tucked away off the street. Greeted at the door and was pointed to a booth. And I do mean pointed to a booth. Person at door who greeted us did not say a word to us. Another person did come at talk with us and asked if wanted the buffet. The items on the buffet ranged from a simple salad, to nan, to rice dishes, to a lamb curry. None of the dishes were what I would call spicy hot, but some dishes did have a heat that sort of sneaked up on you and might be too hot for people who did not tolerate spicy food well. Being my first time, I took small samples from a lot of dishes. Most were flavorful, and some had a nice layering of spices. After sampling quite a few of the dishes, I noticed a significant number of the dishes were very similarly seasoned. This could just be my taste buds getting taste blinded. However, the use of the same spices in dishes in not uncommon in a lot of restaurants. A nice meal, a little pricier than a lot of buffets but food was a better quality than other buffets.

Never gotten sick which is more than some of the other places that look better at a glance can say. This place comes highly recommend food is good. Only suggestions would be a bigger menu and staff training in cleanliness.

We ate lamb tikka masala and chicken malai methi murgh. Both came with basmati rice and were delicious, but we preferred the malai methi murgh, hands down. We also got an order of garlic naan, which was perfect. The restaurant wasn't busy when we were there, and the attention was great. We would go here again.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Fargo. The food is always fresh and delicious with wonderful spices and sauces. They have a variety of foods they serve on their buffet menu every day. It's a wonderful dining experience in the evening as well, with many different food choices. The owners and staff are very nice and helpful. It's very relaxing and low-key. I also enjoy the Indian music and dancing. It's a very enjoyable experience.

I've had Indian food all over the world (but not India), and it's easily my favorite cuisine. That said, this is the best Indian food I've ever had. This restaurant should be in NYC or London. Their buffet is good, as buffets go, but unless you are a seasoned Indian food lover I would strongly recommend going there for a nice dinner.

Since another Indian restaurant stopped buffets we were looking for another "go to" place. There was some good food but for $15 a person we did not feel it good enough. The goat curry was lack luster, the na'an was good but not flavorful. The atmosphere felt like a funeral parlor, the staff did not feel friendly and open. I felt awkward the entire time I was there. Sadly, we do not think we will return.

This is one of my 3 favorite restaurants in Fargo. Fortunately I'm single so I eat out a lot. I'm here at least once every 2 weeks. Especially for the lunch buffet. And on Fridays they have curried Goat on the buffet!! If you didn't know it was Goat you would think it was great pot roast in curry spices. It's tastes as fantastic as it did when I first tried them 6 years ago. I was hooked from the first visit. The price to quality, value ratio is perfect.. If your not into super spicy, don't worry. Nothing will have you breathing fire. The heat is perfectly balanced and not overwhelming at all. Don't miss this great restaurant and meet the wonderful folks who own it. Jamie

Certainly not an expert when it comes to indian cuisine but their lunch buffet is amazing. The naan is fresh and warm. Great selection of interesting items and the curries are superb. Not too spicey but super flavorful

Awesome food. New to fargo, came here based on reviews and it really is great! The reviews were right. Buffet lunch gave an opportunity to try many dishes and all of them were wonderful. Definitely will be back.
