We arrived and ordered second of the whole restaurant and bar. It took them about 2 hours and us tracking down the waiter twice to get our food. That being said the bartender was great and checked on us twice even while still having a packed bar.

Pain Reliever is just a cool place (I mean even the name), with great local flare and great food. I love the history and even some of the mystery behind the place and the town. Don't know what I'm talking about? Well you'll just have to stop in and ask the nice folks behind the bar. ☺

Bob Wilhelmi is an innkeeper in the original sense of the word. He wants you to be happy, satisfied, and safe, while your there, and looking forward to stopping at the Pain Reliever again. This type of hospitality is vanishing very fast, so if you haven't gone there yet go. Probably the most telling thing about a good cook is the simple but elegant way they will do the common things, like rubbing a baked potato with olive oil, shaking a little season salt on it, wrapping it in tinfoil,and voul al, something that has a hint of jasmine and smoke a long with a perfectly cooked. And all because, you were hungry, you saw a private birthday party and they were having steak. Steak was not on the menu that night, in fact bingo was just wrapping up, but Bob made that steak w potatoe in that off hand way very good cooks can. This is a place you should visit.

Another one of those underrated grill and bars that have really good food for a decent price. They have specials ever week like taco Tuesday and chicken on wednesdays and usually some kind of buffet on the weekends. They continually update the establishment so it is always getting better.
