I'm only giving it one star because I can't give it zero stars. I will not be doing business with them ever again! I ordered food for delivery, didn't get my noodles, there was something hard in the middle of my chicken and when I called in to inform them they called me a liar and said "the noodles are there and there's no way something is wrong with your chicken." Absolutely unacceptable!

This place is and was the Only Chinese restaurant I would order from, for almost a decade. I used to rave about this place to Everyone - until, i tried to order food one night while at work, for family who's loved one was passing. A unnamed front counter female, who kept messing up my order, refused to give me her name because she felt uncomfortable? Yet I, the Paying Customer, would've been providing cc information to the unnamed front counter female? I was not allowed to have her first name for my own verification of whom it was I had spoke with or gave my cc information to in case of Human Error? The Manager Dave, stated she didn't have to and gave her back the phone. When I asked to speak with the Manager again this female started repeating over and over and over again, "Are you gonna place an order or not!?" "Are you gonna place an Order or not!?" Then Hung Up The Phone!? I literally looked at the phone and the number I dialed just to make sure I had actually called My Favourite Restaurant. The Level of Anger, Embarrassment and Shame I felt, having to share with this family member. (who had already turned down a previous offer from me to buy her some food) Without telling her what had just happened, I told her, "I'll have to order you something from another place." I knew she wasn't eating or sleeping well - I mean who could going through such a trial in Life? She with her kind heart stated it was ok and it was thought that count, and she wasn't really hungry anyways... you ruined my gift! You were my favourite restaurant, and upheld your employees ignorance, instead of trying to provide even baseline customer service. There are So Many Things The Manager Dave Should Have Done, like take my order and re educate your counter person on what it means to Serve The Customer- who Essentially Pays Your Wages and Then Some... My Point to this is to tell you I Will NEVER EVER eat or spend 1 penny at this restaurant ever again. I work for The People. My job totally relies on the quality of my customers satisfaction with the Level Of Service that I Provide. I could not Imagine, becoming SO "Proud of Myself," that I Forget to Serve The People. That Is My Job. Losing my money may not bother you - you have already expressed that on the day your employee hung up on me. It's just Horrible how Popularity trumps Integrity. When all I wanted to do was share a gift with someone, who was losing theirs.

We ordered the General’s Chicken. Came out in 20 minutes, even though no one was in the place (and I doubt there were many deliveries at 3:00). There was barely any rice, and the chicken was 40% sauce 30% mushy uncooked batter and only 30% actual chicken. Moderately clean facility, with only a few tables dirty. Not going back lol

Ordered here for a while now and always been a favorite. The manager Matt is a joke. Doesn't know what comes in a Moo Goo Gai Pan...should likely update your own website. Every order made came out wrong or like someone puked in a container and delivered it to me. This restaurant needs to pick a genre...this isn't China, Philly or the South so please pick one and we'll pray you're decent at it. Above all, (Matt the current manager) is a joke. Clearly neither him nor his cook staff knows their own menu. Will be defensive and rude about your order if you dare say it was wrong. I'd hate to see what happens when you want your money back... Please for the sake of North Dakota....sell this place and accept defeat. Also please take down your "40 year" banner as it's no longer true. Sad to see this place take such a nose dive.

This is literally the worst place ever. I got delivery and didn’t get the one thing I wanted the most. Also, the French fries are terrible, half the stuff in there was wet, and I still payed $30+ for it. I’m vegetarian and ordered both the Monk’s chicken and sweet/sour chicken only to receive one of them and not knowing which it was. Honestly, just think about that for a moment. That is extremely frustrating. Also, instead of my vegetarian chicken, I received this random mixture thing which I honestly have no clue what it is. I wish I could get my money back but nope, it’s a service so I have no option but to accept it. I’m sure they might have good service in their store but never should you get delivery. But hey, that’s just my two cents. If I could rate it lower, I would. Sorry for the rant

Very poorly managed. Food takes forever to arrive, and when it finally does, it's cold and spilled all over in the bag. Figured I'd give them one more shot and tried ordering a hot sub to put me over the delivery minimum. Last time I ordered it, the cold toppings were soggy upon arrival. So I asked if they could deliver them in a separate container. It is a Chinese restaurant, so they should have an endless supply of containers to use. Heck, they could have wrapped them in paper for all I cared. But no. They refused. Not the slightest bit willing to even try to accommodate my request. The management at Nine Dragons is absolutely clueless as to how to properly run a restaurant. Sincerely, Cassie. A woman who's been managing restaurants for 15 years.

Easily Fargo's best Chinese food. The spicy Szchewan Beef is incredible!! They always advise that delivery will be 45mins to 1 hour, but it's never taken that long. Great food, great price, and great delivery times!

Burnt food and manager told me that's the way it is. I'm a cook and food that looks burnt and smells burnt would never leave my kitchen. But if it somehow did I would make sure to fix it with customer. A restaurant where the manager tells you tough luck does not deserve my business. Three times I was there and no problem for two of those but burnt food is the deciding factor, and I'll never eat there again.

i really dont know where the other people who wrote negative reviews got their food from, but the chinese food is better than the other dishes they serve. they have the best lo-mein and wontons and they both are very worth your money. the only thing that makes me happy.

Poor quality food. Wonton soup was soggy and old. Egg Foo Young was so salty with gravy. Chow Mein was not actual noodles but fried bits usually used for consume soup. Everything else we order was just poor. Definitely not a good Chinese restaurant. So disappointed.

Some unique offerings and good-tasting food. However, one of the checkout people messed up part of our order but we couldn't prove it. So we had to buy an extra entree and wait extra time for them to prepare it and take it to go. The first person we checked out with was fine, but the second, not so much. Double-check your order to make sure it is correctly entered. At least the extra entree tasted good the next day when re-heated.

If I could give this restaurant less stars I would! I called to order from nine dragons last night at 9:30 pm. First I was placed on hold immediately without even being asked if I could hold! Then I was placed an additional 3 times during the call and I only ordered 2 plates of food! The ONLY thing I was VERY specific on was that I needed my meals to be MUSHROOM FREE as I am DEATHLY allergic! An hour later when my food arrived, it was COVERED in mushrooms! I called back immediately and was told that the ONLY thing they would do was remake my meal but I would be charged an additional time!! I was ALREADY charged $40 for 2 OVERPRICED plates of food that were DEADLY to me!!!!! The manager on duty proceeded to harass me and tell me that HE was NOT going to do ANYTHING about THEIR mistakes!! Called back this afternoon and spoke to a different manager. Was told they would remake but also recharge!! I was not paying an ADDITIONAL $40 for food that would more then likely KILL me from their NEGLECT! They laughed at my situation, told me not to order from a place that uses mushrooms, and hung up! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!

Good place. Cheap if you get a custom order, and lots of food. Good to hang out with people here and bring family. The food tastes a bit flavorless and the soup is way too salty, but for the combo prices, you get your bang for your buck.

Ordered in fir sit down. Combo platter 1 sub as Chicken. 1/2 order wontons. (Pork) called my number. Went grabbed my food hair in my platter. No apologies or anything. Resturant was pretty dirty. Horrible Chinese,inedible,lazy service, dead restaurant. We were Only people in restaurant one girl at front thAt calls off a speaker like McDonald's. And you have to go get it. Strange place. Lo mein is horrible weird noodles,dry,tasteless. Egg roll not correctly wrapped terrible. Beef n broccoli terrifying bad disgusting. Sweet spot chicken tasted like dirty oil and it was over fried. The pop was good and white rice that's about it.

Nine dragons has been around for decades, and is so ingrained in my mind as Chinese Food that all other Asian food is compared to it. My favorites are the chicken fried rice, fried wontons, and the Imperial Rolls, their own invention that is wonderful. The secret to their flavor is the right amount of dragon. Eight aren't enough, and ten would be entirely too many.

They wouldn't substitute anything for the rice that automatically came with the general's chicken. When it came out it looked more like orange chicken. The breading was too thick to the point where sometimes there was no chicken in it. Had to force myself to finish for the price it cost.

Too bad I can’t give them a zero! Was told 45 min to an hour for delivery. After 1 1/2 hrs I called to check on order and was hung up on 3 times in a row. Then after calling back the fourth time to check on my order I was told he’ll be there in 10 min. 20 min later he showed up. I asked how long my food has been in his car he said since 6 pm, that would mean my food was in his car for over 1 1/2 hrs. Every bag was grease soaked and nothing was warm. Apparently that is ok to them. Officially done!!!!

Really wish I could give 0 stars on this one... hands down the worst customer service I've ever had and that's Saying a lot because I am very understanding in the serving industry. Was hung up on. Boyfriend calls back and was treated very short and rude like he was annoying them just for ordering food. Delivery driver does not have any change even knowing in advance we were paying with cash. because of this, we had to pay exact and could not tip which he expressed his anger, but it's not our fault you didn't have change bro. The food was sloppy wet soggy flavorless garbage. And I'm not picky. DELIVERED WITHOUT NOODLES. My boyfriend who treats his body like a garbage can and does not turn any food down would not even eat it. I call to have them send something actually edible, and they inform me "that's just the way it tastes" and will not do anything. I paid too much money to have dog food delivered to me just to sit at the bottom of my trash can. I will absolutely make sure to warn everybody around town to take their business elsewhere.

Sweet and sour chicken was very rubbery tasting, and the sauce had no flavor to it. The egg rolls are weird shaped and huge, but again has no flavor to speak of. Reminds me of a school cafeteria lunch than a restaurant meal. Save your money and please go elsewhere.

If I wanted ramen noodles without the seasoning I would open up my desk drawer and grab some. The food is actually worse than high school cafeteria food but not completely unpalatable. If you want to eat here be sure to be literally starving because otherwise you will not finish your meal

You walk in and order your food at the counter. If you eat in, you are given a number and you return to the counter to pick up your food. Your name is called if you order to go. Large portions and made when when you order. Good flavors. Low mien could use some more veggies, but nice flavors. Made three meals from my beef and garlic sauce. Not fancy decor, but clean.

The lo mein was a joke, basically ramen noodles with some chopped up chicken in it. Sweet and sour sauce was obviously out of a 5-gallon can. The egg roll was pretty good though. Considering I only paid $3.50 for the whole meal, I got what I paid for.

Since the early 80's, this has been my go-to for Chinese food...always great quality. Over the last few years things have changed allot! I just got takeout tonight hoping for better and what I ended up with i wouldn't feed my dog. When I called and asked for a manager, after being on hold forever, a man got on the phone and proceeded to tell me my food was cooked perfectly...wow! Then when i asked if he'd read the Google reviews, he said "I'm done with you" and hung up on me. Overpriced, terribly prepared, and horrible management! I would think restaurants, especially local, would treat people better and care about the food quality...but more so care about their local customer base. 1 star is giving Nine Dragons WAY to much credit. NEVER AGAIN! Anyone can get better and much cheaper Chinese food in the frozen section of a grocery store.

I had been craving Chinese food for a few weeks so finally ordered some tonight and I was severely disappointed. My spring rolls were wrapped so poorly they were ripped and the contents were falling out. Not only that but good section of the rice paper was rock hard. The General chicken tasted like dirt (literally) and our Crab Rangoon came in a bag so saturated in grease it was falling apart and they were wrapped in a THICK wrapper which was super unappetizing. I spent 46 dollars on my order and wound up throwing most of it away. The lo me in was okay and we did save that. I never remember this place being so terrible! Never. Again. Update. It's the morning after and my husband and I have been sick. Throwing up.. The works. Our son didn't eat the food and he's fine.

Ordered chicken wings and fried rice, as well as chicken lo mein. The chicken wings were dry and way too salty. Also, they were placed in a brown paper bag that disintegrated by the time I got home rather than be placed in a proper container. The rice was ok, better after I added the soy sauce. The lo mein noodles were not the standard ones used in every other Chinese restaurant. These were thinner, very dry. I'm disappointed because I had heard good things from this restaurant and the food didn't match the compliments I had heard. So either there's a new chef or they may have mistaken this with a different restaurant. So two stars, since this is my first time here. I will try one more time and update this depending on how this works out.

So disappointed in the service ordered my food at 10:45 didn't get it until closer to 1. After it did not get discovered to where I asked them to deliver it to. When if finally arrived it was hard to dish up as the container just fell apart.. When I called the restaurant the front desk wasn't even helpful. She just said she understood my frustration. Well that doesn't cut it. I've been in customer service for way too long to know she needs to improve her customer service I have a picture of the bag that I got. It is absolutely terrible.

Worst Chinese food I have ever had. Definitely the worst in Fargo. I have had Kung Pao Chicken at a Chinese restaurants for years and years and this doesn't even remotely taste like Kung Pao Chicken. Agree with previous review...I wish I could give this zero stars. Horrible. Beware.
