Everytime I go here, it's a wonderful experience. The staff are so friendly, welcoming and if you're not familiar with east African food, they will answer any questions you may have! I would definitely try their roasted goat & the rice is to die for. You should probably get desert too, they have so many different options and they are alllll amazing.

I had the tibs, a kind of meat stew, and my wife the curry. We were both pretty satisfied with our orders and I think the reviewer who said this place is as good as any in Minneapolis was right. My only complaint is the menu didn't warn us about the spiciness of the food. I actually mistook the jalapeno relish for something like the cilantro relish in Indian cooking, which is meant to cool your mouth. Ouch. I think we were fine but it would be a rude surprise for people who aren't keen on that much heat.

Madina is my absolute favorite restaurant in Fargo. I grew up in Seattle with a large Eritrean and Ethiopian population. The food, the casual laid-back ambiance of the space, and the kind, welcoming demeanor of the matriarch all take me back to my college days and the Ethiopian places on Beacon Hill. Macklemore and the Blue Scholars used to regularly hang out at those places and the food, like at Madina, was simply, and understatedly, amazing. Give it a try!!!!

These are our leftovers after ordering the tibs and vegetarian plates with injera. Everything was so tasty. Just needs to be cleaner.. Or next time we will take food to go. Clean the booths so it's not distracting to your food. Even warmed up, the meat and vegetables were awesome.

I was truly surprised. This is the first Somali owned restuarant which actually greeted the customers. The food was good and the service was fast enough. I had my food in under 10 minutes. Keep it up Madina!

My first experience here was great. Made to order fresh foods that were flavorful and my meal was unique, unlike anything I'd ever had before. The second time was less steller. It took some time to get service even though we were the only customers. The sabusa was at room temperature. They were still good but a little soggy and questionable on the food safety standards. I didn't get sick but mine were vegetarian and I have a bit of an iron stomach. I hope to see the quality return as this place has a lot to offer.

We had the worst experience in our life here. We ordered the highest price food (house special). The dish was cold, full of rice with some piece of meat which basically was bone not a meat, the oily fish. As soon as they brought the food, they started to talk loud in african language which I got hedeach. Lots of sounds and noise, they treat like tribe instead of resturant. Overall, i doubt whom gave the 5 start ever had a food before. THE WORST EVER HAD

I was pleasantly surprised with how incredible the food was! My girlfriend and I shared the veggie platter and a hummus and pita appetizer. There are so many intricate flavors. The waiter was pleasant, but the interior is a little underwhelming. Not really a problem for me though, as I still had amazing service and food at a good price!

Great food, great service. I had Chicken Broyani with Basmati and friend joined me had Goat with Basmati rice . Absolutely delicious and food arrived in timely manner. They had great samosas also. This is my 3rd time visiting there and decided to go ahead and give my props to the Cuisine. Yu should check this place. They also have delicious Injera, beef kabobs and cheese cake for desert.

Only thing I take a star away for would be the ambiance of the place, kind of dull. 5 star on the food though, I had the Chicken Suqaar (sp) and the Beef Sambusas. The chicken was seasoned deliciously, the rice was seasoned just as well and nice fluffy spoonfuls. Portion size was pretty good, I'd guestimate 9-10 ounces of chicken, and GENEROUS serving of rice. I will be swinging in to try more.

I was disappointed that I was being told that the Injera wasn't available bc it would take too long to cook, but they made up for it in the delectable Chicken Suqqar dish that I ordered instead. I would bathe in the seasonings that they use for this dish. I'd recommend, especially if your taste buds are tired of the same old American food that Fargo has to offer. The dining area could use some sprucing up and better lighting, but you can always order take out!!

I got take out from Madina Cusine, and let me just say it's some of the best food I've had in all of Fargo. Try the tilapia and rice dishes they have. The goat is pretty good too if you're willing to try it.
