Best fried chicken in town. Came for the chicken, stayed for the soup. You better try the knoephla and borscht soups! These are iconic dishes for this restaurant, a must if you visit Dickinson ND.

This place is way over priced. The service at first was good then everything went down hill when I asked for a refill 3 times and still didn't get it. The food is less than edible. The food was under cooked and slow to the table. The tables were old, worn out and wobbling. The plate slid on the table because of the unevenless. I will never eat here again. I would not recommend this place to anybody ever.

They advertise pizza outside but i guess its a really old sign because they dont have it. I tried it anyways but i really wanted pizza. Bill was a lil more expensive than other better joints with less of a selection. Staff was ok.

Nefla soup and fried chicken was great, atmosphere was quaint and service was friendly, but the price for the helpings of food on plate felt a little overpriced... Definitely would recommend for the soup.

I was very taken back by the prices. They charged $3 for a fountain coke and 10.99 for 6 chicken nuggets and some fries. The soup and service was good. I think this place could be great with bigger servings and better prices.

I really liked this place. The atmosphere is country, but comforting. The staff was rather friendly and the food came out rather quickly although we came in after the noon rush. Thy handled the cleanup and serving very well, although there were only two servers on at the time. The food was very good, nothing extravagant, just basic and well made.

We stopped here for supper one evening after visiting Theodore Roosevelt NP. It’s a family style restaurant staffed mostly by a family. Nothing fancy but it’s clean and the staff are welcoming and friendly. My wife and I both had a chicken dinner and a cup of soup. The chicken was very good. It was juicy and tender with a not too greasy skin. I had the borscht and my wife had a dumpling soup called knoephla. Both soups were amazing. They use at least two different types of beets in their borscht. No idea if it’s caused from a different curing time for the beets but the color of the two aren’t the same. Had a casual conversation with the owner as we were leaving but then he got very guarded about his soup recipes. Said they’re locked in a safe. Whatever. Didn’t go there to steal anything, jack. Just wanted to say the flavors were wonderful

Nice family restaurant. Really good waitress. She convinced me to try the knoelpla and i wasn't dissapointed. The chicken was superb as well. Knoephla is a Ukrainian potato and dumpling soup.

For a family of 4 the price of lunch + Dessert came to over 100$ dollars!!!. $6.50 for 1 slice of pie with a scoop of ice cream? Ill be honest, the borscht and knoephla are excellent, and the pies are delicious. However I am very disappointed in the price. It's much cheaper to eat other restaurants.

Great food and service. Had a craving for some knoephla and Jack's filled it. Patty melt was good, as was the Pecan Pie. Downside was the bill was definitely higher than expected for a single person.

First time I've had great customer service in this state! Had a jack burger and a carrie and they were amazing but they had nothing on the pie. The strawberry rhubarb and pumpkin pies were and are phenomenal! If you want the small town feel with great flavor stop by Jack's. I know I'll be back.

Be prepared to be nickel and dime'd. The food was very flavorful and good, probably the best flavor in town. However, a $9 burger comes with no side, my kid's sprites cost the same as our adult Dr pepper and were $2.95 each and had no refills. 2 adult meals, 3 kids meals, no app or dessert, Our bill was $62. The side salad was really small, probably about 2oz. I really don't understand how a 4oz soda costs $3!!! With no refills. It blows my mind. The restaurant is dated but clean. It's a small ma and pop place with a family staff. The they would get 5 stars if they didn't nickel and dime the guests.

I've looked everywhere in town for a good home cooked meal and atmosphere...I should have looked here first! Not only is it the best fried chicken, freshly made sides, and home made ranch that may be the best ive ever tasted but Jack personally takes my order and assures the quality of my order. After telling me some great stories he personally asked the kitchen to throw in some extras for me to try which were delicious. Read my other reviews.... I'm not always the easiest to please and I have high expectations of service and Jack's restaurant has met or exceed all of them. 5 of 5.

We went for a late dinner. The kneophla soup was luke warm and milky, not hot hot thick and rich. The waitress vacuumed while 4 tables were eating, And my personal pet peeve, it was cold in the place. This is picky I know that. But it's also easy stuff to fix and people hate bad kneophla.

We always stop at Jack's whenever we are in Dickinson. There chicken is delicious, bit their homemade soup is what we come for. My wife loves the borscht soup and I really enjoy the kneophla. Always friendly service and a quaint atmosphere.

The best place in town!! I think I would have gone crazy if I hadn't found this place. Just moved to ND and this little restaurant makes me feel like I brought all the comforts of home with me. Whether you want the best chicken you have ever tasted, or the most juicy burgers around or even looking for some delicious soup you need to stop into this place and get your home cooking fix. The chicken is the most moist and juicy chicken I've ever eaten, the fries are crispy and flavorful and I didn't know you could make toast taste amazing but apparently this place has that special skill of making all their food taste amazing. Make this place your number one restaurant and you wont regret it.
