They have us the wrong food. Then under cooked our food. Waited in an almost empty restaurant for20 minutes to be seated. Waitress has to take the order twice to get it right and still got it wrong. I will never eat there again.

Great food and hey the cook knows how to cook an egg not at all like a chain restaurant or those awful runny military mess hall eggs... Dinners are also good. The prices are whats expected for a great place to eat. And the waitresses go out of their way to bring the best service to each customer.

I use to live in Dickinson and stopped in while I was visiting family over the holidays. While I was in Dickinson, I could have gone to any restaurant and I chose Dakota Diner. This place is as good as it was back in 2008 when I lived in Dickinson. I sat at the booth and enjoyed the club sandwich with waffle fries. The portions are so big, needless to say I didn't need to eat anything else the rest of the day.

your liver was dry & you charged me extra for gravy on potatoes! The liver was so dry I needed the gravy to choke it down, over $17 for a piss poor meal, to bad for the waiyress, she gave great service but I will not tip a rip off place like you're running

Dakota Diner does not disappoint. As an over the road truck driver, I'm always on the lookout for good dining experiences. The hot beef sandwich platter was excellent. Beef fork tender, lightly salted brown gravy and mashed potatoes was as good as what my my wife would make! Simply stated... Great comfort food.

Cool people, good down to earth folks. Good food, little pricey on some items, but average if not cheaper on others. LOVE THE SEATS at the counter, actual driver seats from a big rig! And yes, they adjust. Laughing and joking with the waitresses AND cooks while still getting good service. Definitely will be back.

I am very very picky about food I eat for growing up around french cuisine. The finest cuisine in the world. This restaurant Dakota diner has fine cuisine. Prompt service and friendly staff. From the chicken noodle soup home made style to the crispy French fries served with a tender juicy ribeye topped with grilled oignons, You would think you are eating at Ruth Chris at a great price. Try it.

The coffee is unlike any I have ever tasted, My over medium eggs were almost as crunchy as the hash browns. Biscuits and gravy was a bit cold. The ham was good,I don't think I would ever come back.

Lynelle, the younger girl with glasses was terrible. She was very rude. The $1 dollar tip I left was for the food, not her. I usually tip pretty good. The egg and hash browns were good. The sausage patties was terrible and gravy and biscuits are mediocre. If not for the rude waitress I would have left a better review. Spend your money elsewhere if you are passing through.

We stopped for lunch on the recommendations of a friend, it was perfect. Cute cafe, nice soup and salad bar, soups chicken and vegetable beef were delicious, and salad bar had a,nice tasty variety. My Rueben sandwich was just right!!!

I love this place! The food and service is great, very " small town diner" atmosphere, as you might suspect lol and affordable prices. Also, most importantly, you can order breakfast all day and it tastes just as fresh late day as it does at 8 am in the morning. Order the "lumberjack"..... And don't forget to grab a loyalty card and have it punched! Thank me later lol

Went Saturday morning and it was very busy but we were seated immediately and brought the coffee we requested! I had the big breakfast that had 2 eggs, I chose ham, hash browns and French toast! It was a small wait but nice to take your time on a Saturday to visit with my friend! The food was outstanding!!! I'd eat breakfast here everyday if I could!! Reasonably priced for the amount of food!! Great service!! Easy 15% tip

The Dakota Diner is basically one of those restaurants the locals would prefer no-one new about. It is just that good, wholesome, full plate that the grand-daughters still make the way their grandma did. Excellent service, even when the place is packed, with a "joy of feeding You" that is very rare, and a wonder to watch, happen about you. The food is basic "West Dakota Country" style, made to fill the bellies of hard working farm and ranch families, with that deep flavor of "low and slow" cooking, with enough spices to intrigue, yet not overpower the mouth. They get it just right! Today I watched a "to-go" order re-packed by a long time waitress, teaching a younger one how to pack the food so it "travels well". That means over gravel roads for nearly an hour before it is served to the harvest crew. That is quality service! Want a taste of Real North Dakota? You will find it here. (just don't tell 'em I told you)!

Great restaurant it is located next to a truck stop. Was here for 3 meals. Had liver and onions cooked to perfection not dried out compliments to the chef. Hot beef sandwich was great with mashed potatoes and gravy another hit. Finally breakfast nothing special as it was breakfast but still food was served hot and delicious and plenty of coffee. The staff at lunch were friendly and great service dinner staff a bit slow considering they were not busy. Morning waitress well she did a good job as she was alone but not a morning person for sure. However I will definately return in the future.

Looks like a local favorite. Place was pretty much packed at 5:30 on a Friday. I had the grilled pork chops and they were good. My husband had the nachos off the appetizer side and the meat on it was cold. Prices were a little high for a diner. Service could have been better but I think they were understaffed. Only one waitress that we saw and she was doing her best.

The go to restaurant for the nearby truck stop. They offer an all day breakfast menu (skillets are tasty) and a decently sized and varied menu. One of only 3 salad bars left in Dickinson. Great soups. Service is generally ok.
