Avocado and quinoa are a great combination. However the sopa de pollo was lacking as the ingredients do not appear cooked together but added to the broth upon receipt of order. Thus the taste of the final product suffers.

Excellent food at a great price. It's wonderful that you can order online and pick up a hot meal. Portions provided or more than enough allowing me to feed 5 people. Chicken was perfectly seasoned, moist, and delicious. It's a great change and alternative to other chicken places being they bake their chicken. I also love their policies of how they get their chicken. Makes me feel good that my family and I are eating healthy.

After driving 10 hours from Florida we stopped in here. Best decision of the trip! The food speaks for itself but let me brag about the exceptional service! I'm not one for reviews but when the staff is as perfect as this restaurant was you have to take the time out to do so. The establishment was exceptionally clean. Really good food! Viva Chicken slow roasts their chicken, and it's so tender and delicious. Everything tastes fresh, service is good and fast. The Tacu bowl is my favorite (I add chicken to it) but I haven't had anything bad there.

After hearing rave reviews from family and friends, finally checked this restaurant out! I ordered the 1/2 chicken and my wife had an avocado dish topped with chicken. The chicken and sides were very tasty. Will try again. Had lunch here for the first time yesterday and will definitely be back when visiting Charlotte. The Tacu Bowl was so good! Large portion and very filling.

No question that this is one of my favorite regular go to places. I love the flavors, the refreshing drinks are amazing, the sides (who serves quinoa and yucca on the regular?), and (3) side sauces are uniquely delicioso!! Employees are always courteous and friendly. You can tell by the pictures that I am loving the drinks, everyone should experience the wonderful refreshment of Maracuya (passion fruit) on a hot day, and the herbal limeade has a distinct and remarkable basil infusion....who knew?

Our host suggested Viva Chicken for early dinner on a recent Saturday and we were not disappointed. All 3 of us ordered bowls and added chicken, which had been marinated to be moist and gently seasoned; it was a welcome change from the bland chicken one finds too often which relies wholly on sauce for flavor. (Don't bypass Viva Chicken's sauce, though; it's also delicious!) All the ingredients were fresh, and the generous portions make it a great value. Recommend the herbal lemonade for a refreshing change of pace from sodas. Shout out to the staff: our wait in line was short and even though we didn't see many open tables when we arrived, by the time our order was placed more were bussed and we had no wait at all for a table. Will definitely return next time we're in Charlotte.

This place is nearly always busy and now we know why. Delicious rotisserie chicken with generous portions. The chicken itself is conservatively spiced, but they offer a range of sauces that pair wonderfully to build complimentary flavors. As far as the menu otherwise, there is a broad enough offering to bring the whole family. Our favorite as a group was the corn salad, but you absolutely MUST try the Chicha Morada if you like bold flavors and don't mind a generously sweet beverage. This blue corn based drink is complex and surprisingly refreshing if sipped, but the bright acids bring the most flavor out of some of the other dishes also. Overall, no one had anything but compliments and we definitely all passed our plates around a bit to try a bit of everything.

Ordering ahead here is very simple and easy. They even have a separate line for those who ordered ahead so you don't have to wait in line to pick up. Their chicken is so good and I always get it with their passion fruit drink that they have. Can't get it anywhere else and I'm in love with it.

Worse everytime I go!! The last 3 times I have gone here my order was wrong. Too many locations now to keep up with quality of food and service. This time I ordered Chaufa double white chicken on the side and extra egg on the side. I got nothing on the side but was assured it was added to my meal! When I got back to work and opened my meal I had 3/4 of the food I used to get and no extra chicken or egg. I ordered all white meat so I am not sure why the chicken I did get has a huge bone and dark meat piece. I'm gonna pass on viva for awhile, at $17 for lunch I expect to get what I paid for.

Rotisserie chicken, sweet potato fries, soup and herbal limeade drink our usual order. Fresh crispy and juicy chicken. Won't recommend getting a take out since the taste won't match having it fresh in restaurant. Free parking available and they have happy hours on weekdays 2.30pm to 4.00pm. strongly recommend this place to any foodie. Always consistent and great taste. Never had a bad experience with the place.

The food was very good. We had a whole chicken with rice, soup, cannery beans, and plantains. All were delicious. Really love the mild and hot spices sauces that you can get for dipping. The dipping sauce are what really puts Peruvian chicken over the top for me.

I love Viva Chicken and typically go to the elizabeth ave location. The food is always great there. I've been to this location twice and its been horrible both times. First time, I got the Arroz chaufa and my rice wasn't cooked. It was still hard! I emailed the store to no response. I didn't worry about it because I figured it was an isolated incident. Last night I tried this location again and ordered the 1/4 chicken with sides. My sides were great (cilantro rice and plantains) however my chicken wasn't cooked. Not slightly underdone, literally pink and red. I'm so disappointed with this location.

NEVER disappointed when I go here! I have had several menu items, but my favorite is the Limena Salad! Clean atmosphere and food is always super fresh. I have loved this place for awhile. The food is delicious. Would have given 5 stars but the service seems to be slipping. The dinig room staff was just not on par with what they use to be. But they are NOT bad, just not special. Try the yuca and the plantains. And remember that the chicken and sauces are the best!

Not a bad place for lunch, I tried the tacu bowl and added rotisserie chicken, honestly the bowl tasted fresh with the marinated red onions and all but I felt the chicken was very bland for the place being a chicken joint but it was my first time. I also tried the steak sandwich and was much more impressed with that then the chicken tacu bowl. It was a little greasy but the seasoning on the steak was great and the sauce on the sandwich was a little heavy but very good as well

I came here for lunch for the first time on Saturday 6/1/19 and I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious the food was. Great food if you want a healthy alternative to fast food. It's a quick order at the counter. You sit down at your table with a number and they bring it out to you quite fast. I had 1/4 chicken, a corn salad and some quinoa. My son had 1/2 chicken, french fries and green beans. The some condiment sauces that are great. I'd definitely go again!

Went here for the first time tonight. Service was quick and friendly and the restaurant was clean and had a nice vibe. They chicken was fresh, tender, and delicious. I loved the seasoning they put on it. Great portion size! You definitely get your money’s worth. I got a 1/4 chicken which comes with 2 sides and I got the all white meat upgrade. Definitely worth it. The sides are also a large portion. They also have their own juices which I did not get a chance to try, and three sauces. One was too peppery for me but that’s just a personal preference. I also think I found my new favorite way to have green beans prepared. Seriously they were delicious. I will definitely be coming back here more regularly.

Me and my sister's first time visiting and it was amazing! Great vibe, while watching in line there were two ladies who made meal suggestions for us which was so nice. Always a great experience. You wouldn't guess it by the name, but there are many great options if you opt for vegetarian meals. For example, the "tacu bowl" is nearly $10 with chicken, but only $6 without.

So "The Great" on a wrap was delicious! I would have preferred the young lady taking my order to know more about the food there, how it tasted, texture or amount of doneness. Also to have spoken to me and not the register while I ordered. (Eye contact means a lot) A young man cleaned of a particular table for a woman and her daughter, when plenty of other tables were available! You go boy! Finally, we left and the doors were locked, a lady customer came up and knocked on the door, just to get sauce for her chicken and a nice young lady gave some sauce to the women. You go girl! Overall I'd go back! Food was good and service won in the end.

The food is great, but all 3 times I've been there, the kitchen has put chicken in my vegetarian dish. It will clearly say "vegetarian" on the label, and the employee will bring it out saying "vegetarian tacu bowl," but still, the kitchen gets it wrong. Luckily the lids are see-through and I can plainly see chicken in there before I even open it up. I just hope that food doesn't go to waste.

Haven't heard much about this place, but wanted to give it a try. Sunday afternoon proved to be a popular time as it was packed. Waited in line almost 10-15 minutes to order and was pleased we stayed. A table came available as we were getting our drinks and the food was brought to us. It was delicious, colorful and an abundant potion. Outside dining is small, but the breeze today made for a pleasant eating experience. A larger dining area is inside, but a larger one is needed if the popularity is retained. Am excited to go back and try all their specialty dishes in the future, perhaps it won't be quite so crowded.
