If there was a negative star that would be my rating. Sat at the bar with a friend and made eye contact with both bartenders, held my hand up notifying them that we were ready to order and after 15 minutes one of them came down and asked what did we want. I had their drink menu in my hand and requested what I would like and he said we don't have that anymore and took the menu out of my hand as he walked away. I looked at my friend as if somebody was playing a joke on us. 5 or 7 minutes later he came back and asked what did I want again, I told him what I would like and he turned around and left without asking my friend what she wanted. Now another 10 minutes has went by and we have yet to get our drinks and we are starving. We finally waved to the other bartender because the first has never returned. Mind you there are about six people at the bar, it is not busy by any means. She proceeds to take our order and asked if we wanted to start a tab. I told her we did not but we were going to order dinner as well. She told me that she could not place our dinner order without holding our credit cards. I have never in my life heard this, as if you're holding my dinner for ransom. I told her we were planning on eating at the bar, could we not just pay for our checks when we were done but she said she had to hold our credit cards. Once the drinks were delivered and the food came we never saw our bartender again. She never asked if we needed another drink, she never asked if our food was okay, nothing. This was my first time at tobacco road and it will be my last time. Management you need to have a talk with your staff on how to treat your customers.

Great place to go with a group. We had a table outside and although it was a little chilly outside the heat warmer lamps worked wonderful. The food and drinks were both exceptional.

Not a great place for very large group events. Smaller groups like a couple of hundreds or less is much better fit at this place. More than that feels super stuffy & a disco club like setting, always rubbing off/ against on someone. Staff is very friendly. Food was meh.

Everything about this place is worth 6 stars! Best lunch and dinner ever! Great food portions, recipes, Gluten Free options. Super friendly servers, clean and open environment, and a game room! Very family and kid friendly during the day, havent tried the night life yet. Must try the buffalo chicken egg rolls!

Tobacco road did a great job using this space. There's a very nice bar, an outdoor seating area, and a rather large game room. Had the nachos and one of their beers, both were good, though more black beans would have been great.

I wasn’t the biggest fan. Food was tasty. Nice place. Lots of potential. Service was kinda crummy. Some rudeness from the male bartenders. Multiple times someone would ask for them to close them out and they would walk off to another patron and ask them if they wanted a drink and start making it. Or do some other task leaving that customer hanging for 5-10 minutes. Not exaggerating. It wasn’t hectic or busy they would just make people wait. First time seeing this, really weird. Food took a while to come out, when asked about it was told “it’ll come out when it’s ready.” Lol. Bartender walks to the back and comes back with the food. Had a regular tell me “they’re kind of a-holes” lol. I wish it were posted up front so I could have known and been an a-hole too.

They have live music. Outside. So you can't enjoy while dining. Food was so so. We got seated in a corner and had to ask to move to another table. Table we got had not utensils nor hand towels. We waited for drinks for 30 minutes and an hour for food. Nachos were cold!

We went in for dinner at 8:30ish and they were on the "late night" menu but still had plenty to choose from. The nachos are enormous. Like, way too much for one person and incredibly delicious! About the size of a large pizza and piled high with yummy goodness...

Forget the comedy club! These people know how to provide an incredible bar experience. Full of personality and food options and,... oh yeah amazing brews! Don't be mislead, the beers here are outstanding. This sports bar, to me, is the leader in bar food selections and social engagement. Highly recommend visiting this establishment.

Food is good and service at the tables is wonderful. Service at the bar if you are not sitting in a seat is the worst ever. On 2 different occasions I and my friends have been ignored when trying to order and on another occasion was yelled at that I couldn’t be where I was and would have to “figure out” how to order somewhere else. Bar staff was only concerned with making drinks for the other wait staff and lack complete customer service. Sad such a nice place with great food can have such subpar bar staff and, as other reviews have said same thing, be allowed to treat guests this way.

Our waitress was AWESOME-- she worked her butt off to keep us served. WHYYYYY is there ONE ladies' room with 2 stalls? You really want your customers standing in line to use the restroom, or do you want them drinking and eating? And really poor planning on the men's room door... When women are lined up on the wall and the men's room door opens...

I had my husbands retirement party here and I can’t say enough about my excellent experience from the moment I spoke to Amy ( event coordinator) to the very sweet and helpful young lady at the front and ESPECIALLY our personal wait staff! Joe,Katie,Paulina & Jamie, you 4 were rock stars and took care of our 45+ guest with ease! Thank you so much! The food was delicious( those shrimp and grit shooters) yeeessss! Attended a networking event here. The location is good and there is a parking deck on the same block, paid parking. Industrial look and feel, lots of y’all windows and natural light. Great, laid back feel. The beer was delicious. They served eastern NC pulled pork, shrimp and a southwest egg roll. WOW. Delish. This is definitely a spot I’ll be back to for a sit down meal and to try some more beer.

This was our first time visiting this location for a birthday celebration. The private dining area was amazing and our server Precious took care of us. Even when there were some slight issues beyond her control, she was quick to rectify the issue. Lovely atmosphere for adults and also the game area kept the young ones entertained. We will definitely be going back.

The beer is pretty great here, also pretty good drink prices. I got the Mac n cheese, would highly recommend. Their menu has good variety. It's not the most warm and welcoming atmosphere (I think mostly due to location), but it's typically quiet, and the staff is very friendly.

I just drank beer and had a couple of appetizers but was very happy with my experience. I just recently found out that Tobacco Road brews their own beer so I had to take a trip to try it and was pleasantly surprised. Great beer and tasty pimento cheese appetizer. The Tropical IPA was very yummy. They also validate parking in the garage behind them if you bring parking receipt and spend 15 bucks.

Waitress wanted to bring our appetizer after our main course because she forgot all about it. My wife's steak sandwich tasted like seasoning from a grocery store or Wal Mart. My " St. Louis" styled ribs had no smoked taste and the sauce tasted like any shelf brand. The quantity of food did not match the price The TVs were extremely loud. We will not be going back n

Was here for a Christmas party. It was full/open bar and the bartenders were superb! The food catered was delicious. Fun/versatile atmosphere that you could either sit at the bar for a game, work function, nice dinner, or play pool or a few arcade games. I think they reimburse for parking in a near by deck!

Went in last night for UFC. Sat down ordered 2 beers with my GF and ordered apps. Watched 3 roaches crawl out of the wall next to me. A table near us was eating and I wanted to warn them but didn't. I wish I did the next thing I know they are freaking out because it landed on the woman. I told them we saw what happened and would back them if there was an issue. The manager was quick to take care of there check. We canceled our food and were gonna try to watch the rest of the fight. Next thing I know it lands on our table! Oh hell no we are out. So trying not to make a big scene and not just walk out I alerted the hostess we were leaving. She explained they've had an issue because of the brewery. The manager came over. When I told him what happened. He said I'll take care of your food just pay for your alcohol. I explained we had no food and I was not going to pay for a Half of beer. At this point he starts talking down to me and telling me to get out. As if I was the issue. How about working on your customer service and roach infestation! Had he been professional about the situation I wouldn't of taken the time to write this. Sincerely Lost Customer

Had a fantastic lunch here following the Raleigh Christmas parade. Our 4 year old has some allergy issues and the manager was incredibly helpful on navigating that - always appreciated. Service was great, and the food is really good as well. I had their house Pale Ale which was excellent. Price is great too. Tons of TVs viewable which was awesome for Saturday college football, just a great experience over all.

So terrible that I will never return or ever recommend this venue again. I booked this venue a year ago for my moms surprise 50th party last Saturday (March 30th 2019) While we were excited about the venue and our original party planner Katie .... we are beyond disappointed and insulted with the way everything turned out with them. We know things happen so when we; - Understand it being difficult to get ahold of anyone days before the event and not getting anyone to respond to messages - Understand if staff forgets to bring out the appetizers we ordered for guests BEFORE the birthday girl arrived and completely forgotten until we reminded them - Understand that staff members have a bad day and may not be all smiles.... But things we will not accept; - THE OWER ALEX PUTTING HIS HAND ON MY MOM: side note: She was just surprised with over 100 guests for her birthday... she was in tears and saw a waiter walking by with food so she picked an onion ring off the plate because she thought it was the food for the party (and yes she was being funny).... however, she had not idea it wasn't ours and the owner had the audacity to come up to her and spank her arm as if correcting a child! My mom was shocked and thought it was a joke - she waited for someone to say it was a prank! Later she found out it was an owner and confronted him telling him she was sorry because she had no idea it wasn't her food and would appreciate him not talking to her as a child nor touching her.... the man literally got defensive and tried to say "Ok yes I spanked your arm you'll be fine!" I WAS LIVID. I followed him as he walked away and he would not let me speak.... I realized that I was getting nowhere with this crazy individual and decided to walk away so I can enjoy this party (that I could unfortunately not just take somewhere else last minute) - They closed the kitchen because they couldn't keep up with the food order.... our party was unable to order food after only a couple hours into the party - A server literally took a plate from a guest of ours while she was eating the meal because it was not her order.... - My aunts went to the bar for something and the female bartender asked one of them 'cash or card?'... the other aunt responded 'cash'.... the bartender looked and her and said "I'm talking to HER" and pointed at the other... Overall THIS WAS TERRIBLE SERVICE. What do you do, complain to the owner?????? NEVER AGAIN! such a shame for such a nice looking place. Once we reached our minimum required at the bar.... we closed out, took down decor and moved the party to another spot.. CANNOT SAY ENOUGH HOW DISGUSTED I AM WITH THIS SERVICE..... The only employees id like to thank are Patrick, Joe, Fernando and the MOD that helped decorate

Loud. The establishment is geared toward the 21-35 crowd. The food was good if a bit pricey and features their own brews on tap. Sandwiched between a rail line, a large power substation and a pay to enter parking garage the inside has an industrial feel to it with modern amenities. The wait staff will reimburse the parking fee after a minimum purchase. Sections are available for group events but ate not private, expect a lot of noise bleed over.

I loved this place when it was on Glenwood!! It has a bit of a different feel now with the location change but still great! My went on trivia night which was a load of fun! Everyone enjoyed their except me. I was leaning towards tge healthier side and decided to order the fried green tomato and pimento cheese sandwich. Lets just say I wasn't a fan. Otherwise everything was great! Will be returning!!

Went to eat here after it was recommended. Arrived before 4:00 PM for an early dinner. There is no parking. Had to park in a pay parking deck. Said they would reimburse the cost. Got inside and was told more than 1.5 hour wait. A whole section of the restaurant was not being utilized yet the would not open up a table. They also would not reimburse give parking fee when we could not wait because of another obligation. The restaurant es very loud and the management was not understanding. Will give zero stars if possible. Would not recommend even without trying the food. I paid money to receive no service. Won't ever try this place.

We had our fantasy football end of season party in the Press Box and the staff was incredible. Their events manager, Katie, had multiple touch points in the weeks leading up to the event to ensure we had all our needs covered. Their service staff were extremely attentive and not once did I hear anyone in our group of 20+ ask where their server was nor did they experience delays in their food or drinks being delivered. And we did have a lot of drink orders.

What an amazing place! I haven’t been here in a while since I moved out of town, but I was blown away by my last experience. They’ve completely remodeled the place and it looks AMAZING! We had a party of 25 and definitely felt like we were at home. Everyone from the front desk to our servers was welcoming and friendly. Our food was amazing too! I had the Strawberry And Avocado Salad with shrimp. We will definitely be back the next time we are in town!

We had a large group of 50 and gad the large private room. Nice atmosphere. Excellent service. Huge selection of draft beers. Generally the food was excellent however I had 1 complaint. I had the Bison burger which was good except for the bun. It was very hard and I ended up not eating the top half of the bun.

It took another 1.5 hrs.to get food and the excuse was "overwhelmed with the crowd." The Christmas parade is scheduled well in advance so maybe add some staff!! I got the down east nachos, and they were delicious! The pork was good with the melted cheese and the pickled okra and red onions There was something on every chip unlike other places, and the nachos are on a huge pizza pan. The staff was really nice, and there are a lot of TVs and an arcade room.

We love going here for food and the game room. They’re open late and have a good vibe. I like that you can basically walk here from anywhere downtown. Parking could a challenging but not impossible to find. It’s centrally located and have great prices. Kids are definitely welcomed.

We went here on Sunday to watch some football, and it was a great spot - TVs showing all the games that were on; lots of friendly and fun folks there watching, too; a great beer selection, including a good cider; and I got a salad that was delicious. We had to wait a short while for our table, but we went to the back bar, got beer/cider, and hung out, watching the games until our table was ready. Great experience!

Wanted to place a pickup order for nachos on Doordash and there was no was no way to request no black beans. I called and asked them not to put beans on my nachos and was very rudely informed by the MANAGER that "I don't have control over that." I've worked in multiple restaurants and know this is false. Customer service: 0 out of 5 due to how rudely I was talked to in the phone Food quality: 0 out of 5 due to the customer having no control over what can be ordered

From the moment we walked in the door to the time we left, we had a great experience. Our server was very helpful in helping my husband decide what to order for lunch. The portion sizes were way larger then expected. Bathrooms were very clean! Sweet tea could have been a tad bit sweeter but still not bad.

Both craft brews and food originating from this place are just both very average. One of the best places in town to catch a game on TV due to high number of screens throughout, just temper expectations. Would give 3.5 if possible.

Have been here a couple of times. The last time was on April 13. Unfortunately, both times were with a larger group. To give it a solid review, it probably would be best to come back as a two top. Regardless, both visits - once with a group of 12 and the last time with a reserved area with about 25 people - were completely unimpressive. Smaller group, service was slower than expected. Larger group - service was completely absent. People were finished with their meals and ready to leave before the last in the group actually even got their food. Servers were completely absent for most of the duration, drinks went unfilled - would very likely have ordered more drinks - and possibly more food if the service had been anywhere NEAR reasonable. All I can say is that I'm glad it wasn't MY birthday party that I'd setup here - I would have been raising h*ll. The food - was NOT bad. Had the buffalo chicken egg rolls and steak frites I believe... actually had a NUMBER of things as we did share around the table. If the service had been anywhere close to inline, this would have probably been an easy 4 for me. DO like that they have parking in the back - which makes it far more accessible than most of the other places downtown Raleigh where you end up driving around looking for someplace to park or having to park blocks away. WILL likely give this a try at some point with just the wife - but you can be assured, I would NEVER come here for more than a 4 top.

Food was pretty good but service VERY slow. Cooks need to pay attention. Only a couple of the 6 meals at our table came out with everything on the first try. Pasta came out barely above room temp, and the Alfredo sauce had no real flavor. On the Burgers they forgot the sauces. No biggie except that it took SO long to get the sauce out (waitress had been out like 5 times, asked twice) to us that the burgers were cold. Taste was still good luckily. Beer was decent. Would not recommend for groups because they can not seem to handle everyone ordering at once. Automatic 20% gratuity.... After THAT service. Lost the 3rd star for that one!

his restaurant is huge with a long bar and a ton of seating. Any game that is on tv they seem to carry. I had the jalapeño chicken sandwich with tobacco onions as my side dish. Sandwich was very good. It was a little spicy, a little salty and a tinge of sweetness. The tobacco onions were think onion rings and were nothing to write home about. Great 80s music was playing in the background. This place is great for meeting friends or family. If there was a negative, it would be our server took forever on everything. Not a reason to not go back. Definitely recommend.

This is a very trendy, upscale sports bar / restaurant. The Raleigh location has extensive space for eating, meeting and even rentals. Location is in a renovated shop building and is beautiful and we'll renovated, holding onto it's history as well. There is outdoor seating available as well. Would recommend.

I went in early evening so the place was pretty empty which was great because we had full access to the bar and the game room. Love the Hoop Shoot game, skee ball, and free darts. Great beer selection too!

Came here with a large group of people on a busy Friday night this is my for one of the nicest restaurants I've been to in Raleigh with really good price points considering that it's in the heart of downtown. I love how next to the dining area is an arcade and on the other side is where bands perform which I think is really cool they have pretty much everything you need to spend an entire night here with friends. The food for the price point is very well on par and portion the staff on the other hand was a totally different story. they seem to be very stressed out and flustered I guess because of the group I was with and how many people that were in the restaurant in general that night. The food took so long for me to get and it took me a long time to get drinks for myself and my kids even the refills which I didn't really appreciate. It was taking me a little longer than usual to order because it was my first time coming and I had to figure out what my kids would have like to eat the server was really impatient and was rushing me. I really liked this restaurant and the atmosphere but because of the experience I had considering it was my first time I never came back here.

Great food and good beer! Service is great and they have a ton of TVs in there as well as some arcade games, pool, and ping pong. Highly recommend the Down East Nachos

Beautiful bar! Lots of games and TVs to keep you entertained! The bartender was a friendly woman. The food was delicious and served timely. Beer options were great and reasonably priced.

Awesome place to hang out, solo or with friends. Meal prices were very reasonable. Dinner was delicious. The staff was friendly and chatty. Would go again when I’m in the area.
