REVIEWS OF The Square Root IN North Carolina

Wayne Oliver

Love this place. Found it a couple years ago. Been here many times. Can Be very crowded. Worth the wait or eat at the bar. This is one place we always come back to. Good food and service.

Elayne Garrett

Wonderful atmosphere, attentive staff and the food was Good - but it would be GREAT if it was served hot. My husband’s beef medallion special and my trout were served just barely warm, bordering on cold. It makes you wary about the sauces!

David Presson

Extremely satisfied with our "first" visit. My wife and I arrived just after 4pm so we had the "limited between menu" (4pm-5pm) yet it did not feel limited. Our friendly knowledgeable waitress (Danielle) recommended great options. From the beautiful presentation, the perfect quantity, and exceptional flavors, there was nothing to disappoint. We started with the Southern Fondue appetizer that was so creative and surprising delicious (I was skeptical that warm pimento cheese would be any good--it was!). We plan to go back next time we are in the Brevard NC area, which is abt a 3-hour drive from our home. Looking forward to it!

Marie Donohue

Emmn! Nice ambiance.

Paul Postle

Having been to the Square Root on numerous occasions this visit was just as good as all the others. Nice atmosphere (really cool vintage looking floor!) and pleasant seating with nice bar area. Waitress was nice and had our orders taking in a breeze. Menu is quite interesting with lots of goodies.....(try the cheese burger and a cup of soup on a nice chilly day, you won't regret it!). Usually have good 'specials' going up on their chalkboard..... many desserts, so save room! On nice days they have a good outside eating area, and dogs are welcome to relax with their owners - great mental time for all! Can't go wrong, especially if you take some out-of-towners along.

James McFall

Tried the grouper sandwich and a Brevard brew. Both were tasty.

Dean Creed

Such consistently creative, genuinely good food and nice servers. We live in a Mecca of great restaurants, Charleston SC, but wish The Square Root were in our home town. They would thrive.

Hanna Vann

Amazing food and service! Eggplant club is outstanding. Can't wait to go back!

Lisa Smith

After being told it would be an hour and a half wait, hubby and I opted to sit at the bar for dinner. We were stuck on the very end literally surrounded by cardboard boxes. The bar tender was so busy, we had to ask for everything...even to place an order. Hubs got the burger which was actually tasty and I ordered the scallops with risotto. The presentation was beautiful and the scallops were cooked perfectly (still tender). However, the entire dish was drowned with butter (too much of a good thing, folks) which ruined it. Also for $25 you would expect more than 3 quarter-size scallops. We will go back, but it will be a while.

David Williams

Great food, first time there and it was great. Sat at the bar, the bartender John was personable, did a great job. Food was amazing. Will return.

Scott Peterson

Really great steak!

Wesley Crosby

Had a nice lunch while visiting with friends. Everything was perfect and I would recommend checking this restaurant out next time you visit Brevard.

Cameron Wenzel

The food here was on point. I loved everything about it. Taste, texture, presentation. Every dish was perfect. The manager on duty knows what he is doing and puts serious effort into his job. A+ guys. Great job.

Pax Tolosi

Tough meat for Pub Beef but ended it nicely with a blueberry cobbler.

Jeffery Staser

A little pricy, ...but excellent food ...and service. I was pleasantly surprised to find this little gem in the mountains. Make reservations ahead of time though because they stay packed.

Alison Wood

Great gluten free selection and wonderful staff

Joe Erne

It was everything we hoped for A fun twist on old favorites, Eggplant BLT!!! A fresh flavor in the fish tacos Fun servers/staff

Wendy Osborn-caro

Calamari and trout was great. Marsala was super delicious! The "famous" sweet potato chips not that great. The burger looks better then what it tastes.

Steve Schetter

Bar tender was rood like all east coast people. Fries cold. And the guy next to us had a hair on his fries. It seems when someone doesn't like something on the east coast they always have an excuse instead of saying sorry we will will take care of it.

Katherine Sitler

Lots of options to choose from. If there is something on the menu you want modified they seem willing to try and work it out. Eggplant Parmesan and Pork Shoulder dinners were both delicious

Douglas Hess

Had a wonderful dinner with friends at the Square Root. Went on a Friday night, and were seated after about a 20 minute wait. The food was excellent as was the service. Our waitress was very attentive, and the general manager checked on us twice. We will definitely be back!

Jayme Heinemann

Oh.My.God. This place is soooooo good!!! The firecracker shrimp appetizer is the best thing I have ever eaten. The homemade salad dressings are delicious. You want to eat every bite. I had the chicken Marsala with risotto. It was so yummy! My daughter had a grilled cheese from the children’s menu. Our waitress suggested pairing it with the homemade tomato basil soup- it was to die for! Everything was beyond delicious! Service was excellent!!!!

Ronald Brennan

We were invited by friends to make a trip to Brevard for a late lunch, and they were excited about a restaurant called “Square Root”. During our 30 minute commute our conversation was mainly about how consistently good the food at the Square Root is. Well, I can’t speak to how consistently good the food is, but I can speak to how good it was on my first visit...Excellent! My wife had the Fried Green Tomato BLT, and I chose the Rabbit Gumbo. It saddens me a little that I will never taste any of their other offerings simply because I don’t think I could actually sit down and order anything other than the Rabbit Gumbo. Great job “Square Root”!! Oh, my wife loved her BLT as well.

Jamie Justice

Service left a little to be desired but the food was great and reasonably priced.

Jesse Kidd

Great food. Good local beer.

Tonya Jordan

Wow the food was awesome, loved the atmosphere. Can't wait to go back again.!!

Aimee Kuelling

We went for dinner based on a recommendation from the hotel staff. Loved it so much we went back the next day for lunch. I'm always looking for a good Pretzel, so when I saw it on the menu- I had to order it. Their Bavarian Pretzel tray had some great twists that made perfect for snacking and chatting over a cocktail. We also both loved our dinner too. For lunch the next day, we split an amazing chicken sandwich with zucchini fries. Yum!

Ian Fincham

Between batting flies and normal feta on a cheese board, I am not sure where to begin this review. The oil for one of the salads was rancid, the cheese board was mediocre at best, and the bread on the side was barely cooked. Our meals were a little better but all were lukewarm except for the chicken masala which was actually warmer then room temperature. All and all this once excellent restaurant has become mediocre at best, and rancid at worst. I can't say we will be back.

April Hodges

Omg! Ate here with a couple of girlfriends for lunch. It. Was. Fabulous! I had a cocktail called the "Pain Killer," the salmon, and the creme brulee cheescake for dessert

Steve Edmundson

This is a really cool little place in a small alley off of Main St in the heart of Brevard. On a Friday afternoon, the place was packed with a lunch crowd until after 130pm. The atmosphere is very laid-back with both inside and outside seating. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The menu is small but there's a good variety. They also have daily specials. I ordered a Blackened Tuna salad that was outstanding. Mixed greens tomatoes, avocados and crunchy noodles with a slightly spicy Mustard Vinegarette dressing. The desert menu looked incredible. I would like to have tasted all of them. But, passed on the unnecessary calories. This is a highly recommended stop if you're in Brevard!

Paul Callow

The food was a bit pricy. But overall, it was good.

Lawrence Weissman

Great food...Good friendly service...Will come again...oh ya and half off on the bottle of wine...a first for me at a restaurant..thanks

aurorski

Loved it! We showed up at a quarter til 5 on a Sunday and were lucky to get a seat in the bar area before they quickly filled up. They were booked out for over an hour in the main dining area. There is outside seating, as well. Josh, our server/bartender, was awesome. My husband and I split several appetizers, and they were all great. Pretzel board was bigger than I expected, and everything on it was delicious. We will definitely be back!

Jeff C

Good service with ok food. we had stake was not much flavor and over cooked, my son had great dash called chick marsala, it was tender with rich flavor. price on the drink is little high.

Nancy VanderSyde

Great food, great staff. Absolutely a must when in Brevard!!

Beth

Good food and great environment!

Doug B

If you're a foodie, go here. Excellent. Clear culinary skill.

Melissa Stallings

The food here is really good and the staff is friendly. There is typically a bit of a wait but the food is worth it. Request outside seating if you can, just because it's a little more laid back out there. Really good dessert and drinks as well!

Shyanne Pilch

Very cool atmosphere and the service isn’t bad. However, I wasn’t impressed with the food. I got the ship tacos and there was absolutely no flavor balance and most of the filling was fried corn. It needed to be balanced out with an acid or have some kind of complementary flavor. The sweet potato chips are literally just bagged fried chips. Overall, I was disappointed. There just didn’t seem to be any understanding of flavor for such a high end place.

Owen Skarpness

Fantastic food, excellent service in a quaint and rustic chic setting. The burgers are incredible and the pimento is top notch. Extremely tasty risotto as well. Wine selection is good, but if there were one thing I'd improve, though adequate, it would be the beer offerings. We'll definitely be back again!

Sandy Miller

The best chicken marsala I've EVER had. Felt like I dined at a five star restaurant with two star prices. This place is excellent. The wait staff are all just a joy and very attentive. Will definitely be back.

Joe Monza

Great place for Sunday brunch. Try the cheeseburger wrap and the zucchini sticks - they were great.

Cal Abriola

My favorite-The Carolina Burger and the best zucchini fries EVER.

Tim Cunningham

Awesome place, and great food, was here last year and had to come back.

Jef Cornelison

Amazing. Great people, great food. Loved everything. Cheeseburger wrap, Monte Cristo, shrimp and grits. All of it. Eat there

Jim Green

Nice atmosphere. Food took awhile. Breakfast was very good.

Susan B

Artsy restaurant tucked away in an alley off Main Street. (Check out their unique flooring and the bar top, they come with a story!) You can't park in the alley, but parking is a short walk away on Jordan Street. We've come here many times for both lunch and dinner. Staff is friendly and prompt, the menu has a wide variety of excellent choices, but Paleo may be difficult unless you pick a salad. They always have interesting specials, so hear your server out! Indoor and outdoor tables, outdoor is dog-friendly.

Jim WallQuist

Had dinner there with another couple last night. Several issues made the experience less than satisfactory. One of the table chairs & table were woobly. The chair was replaced & the table leveled. My drink order was wrong, the plank salmon was overcooked & dry & the noise level from an adjacent table made our conversation almost impossible. Have eaten there many times. Would not rush to go back.Jim

Star Shea

World class. I had the soft shell crab special. Definitely worth the trip.

chris mercer

The menu is incredible. So many options. They halved an entree salad, to serve to me, prior to my meal (I work in a kitchen. I know the kitchen staff hated this, but they still did it.) The service was wonderful, and the beer list was amazing.

Heather Beck

Fantastic food and service! We had multiple appetizers and two entrees and absolutely everything was delicious.

John Stevenson

Delightful stop in Brevard. My wife and I try to visit frequently though we live in Asheville. Brunch options are particularly tasty.

Duke Fulgi

Good atmosphere, good food, good price, good service.

Michael Driscoll

Very, very nice restaurant. Really rustic, but chic atmosphere. It's expensive, more so than others in the area, but fantastic food! Really well done, very nicely presented, and tastes ahhhhmazing! It's tucked in an alley off the main drag, so it's easy to miss. It's in a small building behind O.P.Taylor's Toy Store. Don't miss it!

Angela Reames

Excellent service and fantastic menu. We were there yesterday with two dogs on the outdoor uncovered patio when a huge thunderstorm hit, they quickly helped us move under the covered patio before the rain started. On a busy Sunday, there was little room left but the entire staff continued to check on us to see if they could do anything more to help. We home to come back to Brevard for another visit and will definitely visit The Square Root again, hopefully without the rain!

Phil Parks

Great burgers, friendly staff.

Matt Cohen

Food was good as usual but the service was sub par. Which is not the typical experience for us. I feel like judgement was made as soon as she came to the table. Just because we were not dressed up or wanted any alcohol doesn't matter. I own a cafe in South Asheville and always take care of the servers unless I get ignored like tonight.

Phil Hargreaves

Great meal. Zucchini fries were particularly good, hot and tasty. Service friendly and effecient. I would go back for sure.

Peter Loucks

Our server Hayley was exceptional. Our son has a peanut allergy and she immediately had the manager come to our table to discuss how they would handle the food. Their attention to this was way above average. The food was excellent, would recommend to everyone. We will be back. Thanks!

Jenna Lilly

Delicious, fresh food and nice staff, plus lots of vegetarian options (the cauliflower is amazing, as well as the salad with kale and brussel sprouts). They always have a lot of specials, too. Definitely recommend.

Darcie Humphries

We had an amazing time The Square Root. We went for a girl's night out and were pleasantly surprised by the delicious food, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. Definitely recommend!

Ralph Yingling

We went for Valentine's day lunch. I'm 99.9% sure I have already left a review for our visit and why it's back after 2 years asking for a review is baffling. It's been a couple of years ago so I don't remember what we ordered and can't find the photos of our meal, but I do remember that we enjoyed it.

Jayden Farley

It is a very upscale and classy resturuant, I reccomend that you get the calamari, the hanger steak, and a key lime pie

J Smith

Poor parking. BUT good food and ambiance. Great lady serving us.

Jim Miller

Feels like a five star restaurant with a two-star price!

Thomas Adams

Water was cold! Serve was a bit lackadaisical, couldn't be bothered to take our order when we said we were ready. Had the cheeseburger, whole reason we chose here, and it was bland and under cooked. Its never a good sign when you are asked how toy wasn't it cooked, medium, and you're told they don't do it that way, they intentionally undercook it. I won't be returning nor recommending anyone else visit there.

Sarah Williams

Everything about The Square Root was amazing! The atmosphere, the decor, the food, the teamwork asking the staff- we loved it!

R LW

Awesome Southwest Cobb salad; so fresh and lots of ingredients, avocado and blackened chicken.

Dave and Lois Van Reese

Good food and historic atmosphere

James Mark

The Square Root is a busy spot but for good reason. It is located in an alley off the beaten path but worth the adventure to find this hidden gem. The food is very good and the wine was reasonably priced. My only advice is for more attentive wait staff but that is a problem not limited to this venue.

CJ Parris

5 spice tuna and the salmon on a plank were delicious and the presentation was stunning.

Paul DeGroot

Food was very good, but service was lacking.

Margaret Grabill

Went for birthday. Reservation was lost, but easy to sit inside. Food good as usual, service NOT. I ordered something that came with onion jam, which i just plain don't like/requested it not included. Waitress tried to talk me into it, didn't seem to pleased i still said no. After our food got delivered, which was by someone other than our waitress, the next time the waitress came by she dropped off our check, never asking if we wanted another drink or dessert -- both of which we would've had, given the chance. Left and went elsewhere for dessert, haven't been back since. I posted to their website as it was such an usual thing as we'd been there many times. I did get a call telling me they wanted to make it right, come back as their guest, but the guy who called -- and told me to call him to make the reservation --was never reachable after that. Voicemail full, no other info. Won't go back.

Burton Maugans

Sit on the porch and enjoy a southern fondue.

Lydia Hart

Food was great. Had the rabbit gumbo and my husband had the day after Thanksgiving sandwich. Both were delicious! Service was great and prices were reasonable. Will be back!

Benjamin Sung

Solid menu, reasonable prices. Occasionally a fun special. Pretty slow most of the time.

M Burns

Although the chicken curry is tasty, there is mostly potato and very little chicken in it. It should really be listed as potato curry! Also, I had no room for one of their yummy desserts because I was too full after eating the potato and rice. I am giving 3 stars because the service was good.

Mistaking Beauty

Had dinner after hiking for three miles, the bartender waited on us. He talked about being from New Jersey, and was a fantastic waiter. Some of the best customer service I've ever had. The food tasted fresh and the selection of craft beer really made me love this place. I honestly cannot wait to go back.

Lois Rice

Really enjoyed our meal and 1/2 priced bottle of wine. We both had the London broil sandwich and fries. Great atmosphere and attentive wait staff. We were visiting from out of town and will be back.

Kristin Farren

Fantastic food and atmosphere. We came as a large group and they served us well and quickly. All the appetizers, meals, and desserts were delicious and passed around the table.

michael Valente

A lovely upscale restaurant with unique and wonderful pairings. I had a spring salad with chicken and fig. Full bar and huge hamburgers. Directly across the alley is a handmade chocolate shop.

Casey Robinson

Super friendly staff, pretty & dog-friendly!

Tracy Theriault

This restaurant exceeded our expectations! The service and food was exceptional! We sat in the bar and Cody and Josh took great care of our table. We recommend the firecracker shrimp and the stuffed trout. We will definitely come back on our next visit to Brevard!

Heather Boston

Great food and am awesome staff!

Tammie Casper

From start to finish this is one of our favorite places in Brevard. Wait Staff are on point. Rattled off the specials flawlessly, and there were a LOT of specials to choose from. The food was beautifully presented, and the meals were delicious. Lots of flavor. My husband and I both said we'd order the same thing again, buy chances are we will try something else just because of our past experiences there. Really impressive and very reasonable. Yum.

Amanda Simpson

Great spot. Can sit on the porch with your dog. Great staff.

Darren Frazier

The fare, staff, atmosphere, all were outstanding! I can't wait for my next visit. Also, thank you very much to our server Kelly. You were delightful!

ryan m

Shrimp and grits were too cheesy. Sausage was not andouille, did not really go with rest of the plate. 3 shrimp were good not great. Grit cake was actually excellent, but the rest of the meal fell short

Cory Howard

Great food. Cozy place

Kevin Marsh

The dishes are not Jamaican. but they are good. nice hipster atmosphere. plenty to choose form are Vegan, gluten meat eaters. and plenty to drank :-)

Charles Griffin

Can't wait to visit The Square Root again! Great food and service! A hidden gem!

kitchen inflames

Stopped in while traveling through. Kelly was a great server!

Karen Nelson

This place is Brevsrd is fantastic. We love going there. Also dog friendly.

Samuel Gentry

Cedar plank salmon is highly recommended.

Caleb Rainey

My wife and I stopped here on our honeymoon, and it was probably our favorite restaurant of the week. The menu offers a great range of foods, the venue is cozy, and the service was excellent. Our food was taking longer than expected, but our waitress checked on this proactively and found that the kitchen had missed it. The manager on duty came out without us even asking, apologized for the late order, and offered us free desert with our meal, both of which were delicious. This is a great local spot, and we would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Frank Porter

Very nice, but pricey, nice ambience.

Craig Renkel

Great food. Reasonably priced.

Bertram Stier

Great food. Really enjoyed it. Nice ambience. Friendly personell... well priced.

Kim Patterson

Wonderful patio to enjoy a drink. Had a fantastic New Belgium white wheat...yum. Ordered an appetizer - fried green tomatoes not the best, tough tomatoes that you had to use a knife to cut. Ordered a London broil sandwich with zucchini fries. It was really good. The best part of this restaurant is their service. From the host to the servers they were fantastic. Make sure you give it a try...well worth it!

Maria Fadri

The service was professional, the food was phenomenal, and I had a wonderful dining experience.

Julie Stevens

Loved it here. Very friendly staff! Food and drinks were delicious. I had the London broil sandwich with zucchini fries. The London broil had a wonderful taste and was very tender. The au jus was ok. The zucchini fries were delicious! We also tried the pretzel board. Very very tasty. Loved the fried black eyes peas. For drinks I had a painkiller which was phenomenal. The toasted coconut was great! I also had a mojito which was absolutely wonderful. I'd love to go back again!

Bobbie Loy

We dined at Square Root during family weekend at Brevard College and to celebrate my daughter's birthday a few days early. Our calamari was some of the best I've had! We all enjoyed our food. I loved the atmosphere and will be back the next time I visit Brevard.

BRYAN JOHNSTON

Food was great. Service was good. We dined there on a Wednesday night it was recommended that we make reservations I called they were all booked up we went anyways and ate outside on the patio, they were able to seat us right away. They offered half off bottles of wine the night we were there if you’re going back on a Wednesday it might be worth calling for. We ordered two simple cocktails and appetizer/pretzel cheese plate it was great! I had the gumbo which featured rabbit and shrimp as the main ingredient my wife and daughter split chicken marsala; both were very tasty.

Invisible Girl

Fantastic food, lovely and staff, inviting atmosphere! It was my first visit, and I would highly recommend this place to others. Everything was perfect. Our waitress, Kelly, was awesome, attentive, and funny. All of the food, from the appetizers to the main course, was delicious and perfectly cooked. I can't wait to go back!

Yvonne Hoffman

Very good food and excellent service

Tona Barnes

Absolutely delicious! Amy, our server was wonderful!

Don Crews

Our second time there and this time it was our destination. Great food, service and atmosphere.

Vicki Williams

I love this restaurant. The servers are friendly, the service is good and the food is delicious

C. Eric Williford

Outstanding cuisine, for brunch or dinner, helpful staff, make a reservation if you can!

Kathleen Orourke

Good ingredients, combinations and service. Execution of the dishes is a little off. One dish had a lot of salt and the pork chop on the other dish was not tender. Other items on plate were very good. NO PARKING. Walk up only. Reservations recommended.

Cj Jones

Hilary is a SUPER WAITRESS, we never had a bad server yet, we drive almost 2 hours just for your hamburgers

LADY FRIZZ

We came here on a Saturday (early afternoon) for lunch with friends while visiting Brevard. The restaurant itself and the restrooms were nice and clean. The staff were friendly and we were seated immediately since we came soon after they opened. The wait to get our food though was very long, so make sure you don’t come starving as you may resort to chewing on the table before your food comes. I would suggest to the restaurant owner serving some kind of complimentary bread or chips if long waits on food are common. When it came, the food was very good. They had a gluten free bun that was very nice and the sautéed veggies were very good as well. My only complaint is the wait time between ordering and being served, which is why I gave this restaurant a four star rating.

Bramlett Whittenberg

Cool place, good food, nice people

Anthony Lawrence

The side dishes were amazing, the main dishes were fine. The benigets were great

Chris Schellang

Stopped by for lunch and come in between service. They only offer a limited menu which was fine cause everything we got off of it was delicious.Service was fantastic and best of all the patio is pet friendly. We will definitely be back!!!

Jennifer Jordan

I really loved this place! Nice atmosphere, great service, delicious food, and neat location. My NC rainbow trout with crawfish stuffing and pimento cheese grits was awesome (bacon collards just ok). My husband's coffee pub steak and truffle mac 'n cheese was tough and not impressive. The key lime pie was great. We'll definitely be back to try more dishes!

joy teas

OMG. You have to try the cauliflower appetizer. It is awesome. Everything was great. Service excellent, food spectacular.

Estelle Abrams

We summer in the area and love the food and atmosphere here! Staff are always friendly and helpful with recommendations. The bar is very unique and lovely with reclaimed wood.

Lisa Sanborn

What a special place! So unique. Sat at the bar with John, what a great guy! Went in for a late lunch and thoroughly enjoyed our Bloody Mary and the food was phenomenal. Very creative menu. Also enjoyed our "rescue dogs and kitties" chat with Josh. This is definitely one place you cannot miss if you are in the area. We live about an hour away but WILL make a point of visiting again.

Ana Alarcon

This place is great! It is a little hidden but we'll worth the find. Food is super fresh and delicious! Atmosphere is very nice and the service is great. They are super friendly.

Helen Kindrick

I really wanted to love this restaurant. It's near my daughter's college and is highly talked of by others. My daughter and I went to dinner there on a Saturday night. We did have to wait but that was to be expected. My daughter ordered a cheeseburger and I ordered the hanger steak. The steak was tender but whatever the seasoning/sauce on top was not good. It made it hard for me to eat the steak and the potatoes that came with the meal. My daughter said her hamburger had no seasoning at all. She said it was ok. I do recommend trying The Square Root just be prepared to not like some of the food. I say this because my steak was $20 and I forced myself to eat it even though I didn't like the sauce on the top of it and so I didn't waste money.

debbie holt

If you're ever going through for Bard North Carolina you will not be disappointed with this restaurant

Great farm to table selection. A little pricey but you get what you pay for!

Stan Mcilvain

Nice wine selection. Great menu choices. Service is tops! I'll return to enjoy this gem of a restaurant!

Steve Young

Good food. A little noisy inside but perfect out.

Savanna Grindstaff

Great food and service! I live in north Asheville and will definitely be making the drive just to go again and try more things!

Derek Tomes

This place could be so much better. We called same day and were able to get a 7 o'clock reservation for dinner. We arrived just a couple minutes early. The gentleman hostess was very kind but let us know our table wasnt ready because of several unimportant reasons. We sat at the bar for about 20 minutes while waiting for our table. As I watched people come in, it seemed we werent the only ones being told our table wasn't ready. We were then seated at a table and things were mostly smooth from then on out. We ordered the cauliflower bites which were good. My steak was ok, nothing great. Slightly overcooked. The mac and cheese had a slightly odd flavor. Huge portion size. It overwhelmed the steak. My wifes chicken marsala was very good. It was nice both meals were provided with a small salad and roll. What I did notice is all the wait staff was in such a hurry they almost appeared to be running to and from the tables. This upsets the relaxed nature of a nice dinner imo. Im not sure we would return here.

Dean McCaughan

We really enjoyed our meal. My wife wished the figs on her salad were fresh and not dried. It wasn't quite what she was expecting. My burger was very good, as were the sweet potato chips. We were visiting from out of town but we'll go back.

Michelle Mallon Jenkins

One of the best places I’ve ever eaten. We ate here two nights in a row, the service was great and they handle the wait and large crowd masterfully. The craft beer selection great. You have to have the buffalo cauliflower, it’s amazing.

Fred Bowman

Fantastic food, great service and reasonable prices!!! If your in the Brevard NC area this is the place to eat!

Maureen Boisvert

Great menu, service, ambiance

Betsy Lehner

Great service and salads, sandwich

Teresa Smith

The place was packed, which is a good sign... Went here for my weekend celebration, small and quaint ... Food was just yum, staff very vigilant and kind... Chef knows their stuff , it has a bar to sit and eat or just drink... I say give it a try... Happy Eating ... The SmithClan

Cindy Clark

Great experience. Service was excellent and food was really high quality. Possibly the best zucchini fries we have ever had. Everything we had was really great.

Kat H

Atmosphere is great tucked away in a quite back street on main. Wait staff were excellent and food was unique and amazing.

Corey Zimmerman

Every menu option is delicious-- and we have tried many of them! We have gone 3 times in our 2 trips to Brevard, and to be honest: I am longing for our next visit already! The staff is so friendly, from the host/hostess to the waitstaff. And the kitchen never disappoints!! The burgers, the chicken sandwich with boursin, the zucchini strips, the southwestern Cobb salad.... I could go on...

Levi Mccall

I work there so ya it was really nice great atmosphere

Derek Byrd

TYK Entertainment

Amazing food great prices and even better service..

Necole Schutkowski

Soo glad we came here! Everything was great! The best burgers we have ever had! Rabbit gumbo was very good too! Awesome atmosphere. Quality food and service!

Tobias D

Very good food and the menu looked great. I definitely want to come back again. I would 4.5 if I could but could not give 5 as we had a party of 8 and 1 person did not get his food until the rest of us were almost finished eating. The staff were very friendly!!

Paula Foster

Delightful brunch with friends. Server was attentive and humorous! Food was excellent. Floor was very unique.

Justin Kramm

We came between lunch and dinner when there was a limited menu and it was awesome. I loved the burger and the zucchini fries. Everyone was happy with their food and I bet it's even better when you have the full menu to choose from. It's a great restaurant. Don't miss it if you're in the area.

Brent Meyer

Was charged $10 for a SMALL cup of fried okra as an appetizer, it was one of the "specials"...BEWARE, don't order anything you haven't verified the price of

graham nice

Great place, atmosphere, service and food.

The best restaurant I've been to in brevard. No issues out of the wait staff and the quality if the food is incredible.

First thing I loved about this place was the floor. It's wooden, but slices of 4x4s. Made for a fun twist. We had fried okra appetizer that we felt was a small portion for the price. My friend ate the cedar plank salmon which he loved, and is why he returned to the restaurant. I had the fried green tomato BLT. I really enjoyed the sauce and goat cheese...could have used more goat cheese. Service was a bit slow, but we were there to catch up and visit, so for this trip that was ok. Have to park and walk to them as they're located in an alley. There is a free public parking lot about 2 blocks away. Lots of great shops near by to check out.

This place is always incredible, one of our favorite restaurants on the planet!

Food and drinks were great. Seemed like they needed more wait staff but overall good experience

Always good food and good service. The only thing I order here is the cheeseburger and it's first rate. Dining companions rave about the trout and various salads. Hard to find as it's in an alley, but Google Maps will take you to the front door. There is a pay lot near the alley entrance on Jordan St. Free parking is very tight. Evenings and weekends are packed. Call ahead. Only negative is the place is closed on Tuesdays. Recommend.

Great atmosphere and atmosphere. Cobb salad and black bean burgers were great. Server was attentive and engaged.
