My first time here and wow. All I have to say is yummy!!!! There lemonade is my favorite type where it is tart and tast very much of lemon. The burgers are thick and meaty. Good tasting, the cook so very nice. We had a quick chat. My favorite lunch spot.

Like any new restaurant they needed to get the details of service worked out. I've been twice and the service was fine. You order at the counter and then take a seat at a table in the expanded dining room that is shared between Burger Shop and LemonTree, and a waitress will deliver your order to the table. Can't beat the fresh burger and fries, yum!

Customer service needs some help. They completely messed up an order and when I called in a girl answered the phone and was like “uhhh come back tomorrow” and I said what do I do about my dinner for now and she says “I don’t know” and hung up the phone. I still won’t rate them bad because she probably was young and has zero training on how to handle a complaint plus the food is good. There is an older guy who’s there sometimes possibly the owner but he’s friendly and has great customer service.

Best burger in Wake Forest area. Probably top 5 in the metro area and top 10 I've ever had (I've had a lot). Burgers are made to order so I'd recommend calling ahead or placing an order and strolling around historic downtown. Very limited seating. Some outdoor seating. Despite the seating limitations this is a must go place if you're a burger fan.

Extremely nice staff, fresh ingredients cooked when ordered to ensure its as fresh as can be. The place is constantly busy, which should tell you what you need to know...good food brings in hungry customers! Even with that, after a wait time of a few minutes (worth the wait) your order arrives.

This place has GREAT burgers... the only complaint is the fries. Don’t know if they are trying to save money or something but they advertise them as handcut which they are but they are actually shoe string fries... YUCK. If they served some normal size, handcut boardwalk fries they’d be awesome.

OMG, where do I start with this place...how about the customer service?!?! This restaurant has some pretty sneaky workers. What I mean by that is, even if the food sucked, I'd still be back because of the amazing customer service! This was our first visit there, and they made us feel so welcome! I even enjoyed waiting for our food to be made. On to the food... This is by far the best burger joint in town! Perfectly seasoned, perfectly grilled...and GINORMOUS! I hadn't eaten all day, so I was pretty hungry. I saw a regular cheeseburger on the menu and I also saw a double cheeseburger, so of course I got the double cheeseburger...OMG! That burger was huge! It was super delicious, seasoned well, and juicy. Also they give you tons of fries! Even the small fry is big. My husband got the cod plate. It was so cute because the cashier teased him about getting fish his first time at a burger joint. He absolutely loved that cod! I wanted to take pictures, but we started eating as soon as we got our hands on these delectable dishes! We will DEFINITELY be back soon, and time and time again!

Good burgers. On the pricey side for a burger but they're good when you're craving a good one. Wasted @ $5.00 on cheese fries because they were entirely too salty for anyone to eat. I was literally rubbing down each skinny fry before eating them but the ones with cheese were a lost cause. Wish I had asked for no salt on the fries, no cheese either because it was tasteless but I didn't know. Will probably order another burger from them in the future but not my go to place. Update: Tried again and fries were good but the bun on my burger smelled bad. I don't know if the bun was old this time but I smelled it with every bite and it sort of ruined the burger for me. Leaving at 3 stars.

My favorite place to eat downtown. Great food and great service. Owner/chef is a super nice guy and always makes sure you're enjoying your meal. I've seen some people comment on the pricing. You can get a burger, fries, and a drink for 10 bucks at The Burger Shop. That seems pretty darn reasonable for a meal to me. Support local business!

First things first: Order ahead. I cannot stress this enough. Once you know that you are golden. The burgers here are a fantastic old style burger with a great set of options to customize to your liking. Their fries are almost always delicious. They even gave me extra this past trip! Their milkshakes are good not great however this might just be due to calling ahead and holding them? Maybe next time I'll order it when I get there! Overall this place earns it's rating for sure. Just try my tip and order ahead. Can't wait to head back!

Top notch, best in class, burger joint. Tiny, just a few seats, but really outstanding, fresh burgers, friendly staff, convenient (within easy strolling distance to White Street Brewery, just saying...). Fries are good too! It's kind of hidden on the side street there, so I don't always remember to go there, but that's good, otherwise there'd be a line outside the door all the time...

The Burger was pretty good. Fresh ingredients, cooked to order. The fries were to soft and too salty for my liking. If you like limp salty fries give them a try. The milkshake was runny and didn't taste great. What stood out the most above all was the price. Those the things cost me $17 dollars. Want a great value and a top notch milkshake? Stick with Cookout.

First off if you are going to open a Burger shop you should at least know how to cook one. You never put a fresh Burger on a griddle and press it so hard every time you flip it that all the juice "FLAVOR" comes out of it. Then when you add the cheese squirt water all lover the burger washing away what flavor was left after pressing it every time he flipped it. Double cheese burger small fry and a cup of water $11.64 WOW!! Its no surprise that the burgers are dry and flavorless. These people that say the burgers are good obviously have never had a good one.

Great food- Nice folks Finally got my first visit. Excellent burger. Fresh squeezed orangeade was perfect. Fried pickles and fresh cute fried were so good! Even though we were there close to closing, we were welcomed nicely with our larger order. Three different people checked on us and asked how we liked our food. Service was spot on. We didn't feel like we were an inconvenient bother, which often happens at other places. Thank you!

Incredible local burger shop in Wake Forest! Stopped in on a whim because I was in the area. What a great surprise! Their burgers are some of the best I’ve ever had, and the milkshakes are DELICIOUS. They apparently make them from local ice cream to boot! Definitely check them out if you’re ever in Wake Forest.

Burgers were decent for the price but the service was terrible. We waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for 3 burgers and were never offered an apology. They were busy but never explained to any of the waiting customers that it could be a long wait. We asked twice for a status and were told "it will be soon." The blonde young woman who worked the register was outside delivering food and so we asked her a 3rd time for a status, and she went inside and came back with our food, which had apparently been ready for a while. She said "I don't know what happened," still with no apology. When my husband said as kindly as possible, "you may want to find out for the sake of other customers," she rolled her eyes and walked back inside. Another employee spent about 15 minutes on the front steps smoking a cigarette while many waited for food. We want to support small, local businesses and can deal with long waits at times, but please train your staff on how to provide customer service.

Good no-frills flattop grill. Very kid friendly now that they've expanded seating. Wish they would adapt their service to account for dine in folks and cut down on environmentally unfriendly waste. Right now, they give everyone to go service, complete with bags, plastic, napkins and foil wrappers. Save some money and save the environment: go with reusable baskets for dine in customers!

These are the best burgers in the Wake Forest area. While that's all you really need to know, I also assure you that this is one of the better deals in the Wake Forest area. Running only about $5, the truly phenomenal burgers here are extremely flavorful and rich with the moist mouth-feel that tells you in no uncertain terms that this ain't health food. The fries are well-made and tasty, though I wouldn't put them quite in the same tier as the burgers. One pro-tip: don't expect to eat in the restaurant. It's tiny, a former barber shop converted to a burger shop. Far better to take your meal on a walk down to White Street Brewery and grab a craft beer while you eat.

LOVE the food here. Its basically like a local Five Guys with small town charm. The only thing keeping them from that last star is that they dont have enough seating inside--it is very cramped. They have plenty of outside seating so if the weather is nice, its perfect. But when its cold, there are like 4 two top tables.

I like that they have a selection of cheeses for your burger as I really don't care for American cheese. Generous portions of french fries. Be prepared to wait if you come at a busy time. This is a neat place to grab a burger. It's similar to Five Guys in how you order, but I prefer the burgers here. And the price is reasonable as well. I always appreciate a local business that does well provide a quality product at a good price. These guys manage that. Definitely has a "mom and pop" feel to it. The folks that run it are real nice. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because it does take some time to get your food. They stay real busy, so it's for understandable reasons. But, it is sometimes hard to make it here and back to work in an hour for lunch because they can get behind on orders. A great place to grab a burger if you've got the time!
