The food was delicious, our server was polite, professional, and attentive. Inside, was a simple tasteful interior, tables for 2 to 8 were available. Back to the food: It was atypical, in a good way. The seasoning was refined, the preparation and presentation were top notch. 5 spice levels to choose from and many vegan/vegetarian options for most of the items on the wide ranging menu.

I love Tangerine Cafe but I hate their new hours. Closing on Sunday and Monday starting in the last few months has been very disappointing because that's one of the times when I've found myself most wanting some good ol' Singapore Noodles but then remembering that they're closed. Please serve your community over the weekend (particularly Sundays)!

High quality food! I took the family there based on the google reviews. We were actually surprised at the quality and tenderness of the meats in all our dishes. Tangerine Cafe outdoes a lot of "single focus" asian restaurants, and provides excellent tasting dishes with their own twist. We had the appetizer sampler (best example of chicken satay I've had in recent memory), the pad thai (not traditional, but very tasty), and the "korean-style beef" (which was excellent, and I'm a bit of a bulgogi snob)! We tried all of their desserts, with the coconut rice pudding being my favorite (but their current special: mango cheesecake, was excellent as well). We are definitely adding this place to our rotation. The restaurant isn't very large, but they had highchairs for our toddler, and a steady stream of customers for dine in and takeout. If you have a large party for dinner, I'd recommend getting there early.

Tangerine Cafe is my favorite Lunch restaurant -- tons of options and everything I've had ranges from good to excellent. The Lunch setup is Soup + Entree and extremely affordable, and I'd recommend that. It's really tough to beat. My favorites are the Thai Coconut soup, Coconut Rice Pudding, and the Indian-Style Curry Chicken. Closed Sundays and Mondays currently (check their site for updated hours just in case, though).

This place is amazing. I’ve only eaten here twice and they nailed it both times. However, the most amazing thing about them is that they are willing and able to modify their dishes for those on restrictive diets (in this case a heart patient). My mom has recently recently undergone several cardiac procedures and is on a low sodium diet. When I called to ask if they are able to accommodate her needs the counter person confirmed with the chef who ended up making the dish just to suit her. She is so happy to not have to give up one of her favorite meals.

It was one of those days when I had a craving for a Mee Goreng and wanted to give this place a shot. We called in a Mee Goring and Indian Fish Curry. Since, they were in the luck menu, they both came with soup. The mee goreng was not the best I had but was still good. The fish has a hint of spice but was overwhelmed by the coconut flavor. On the whole, both the dishes were good but never stood out. I had a bad experience waiting to pick my food, although they were already ready when I came in. Good food. If you have placed a take out order, walk out to the counter and not wait. If you wait, if you wait indefinitely.

I've been here for dinner twice and lunch once. Everything I've had was delicious, which so far was the macadamia chicken, lemongrass tofu, and Indian curry chicken. The ginger dressing they use for their house salad is made in house and it's amazing. The lentil soup is also tasty.

I love getting the lunch special here; you choose your entree and a side (soup or salad). The prices are awesome, the food is fresh and flavorful. I agree with the level 4 on the spicy scale. I knew I didn't have any Sriracha left (sad!), so I opted for Tangerine's cooks to jack up the spice on my Pad Thai -- I was not disappointed! The portions are generous. My friend got the Lemongrass Tofu (it looked delicious) and thanked me many times for enlightening her to the glory that is Tangerine Cafe. What are you waiting for? Just go get some!

Great lunch prices, filling portions, and a very diverse menu. The Tom kha is on the salty side, likely from fish sauce, but quite good. The macadamia chicken comes crisp and on decadent massaman curry. The chicken tika masala is aromatic and delicious. The rice pudding is good, sweet. The flan came with a watery sauce I would skip, but I enjoyed it otherwise. Our waitress was great and I get the sense that the staff care about their jobs. Looking forward to going again. Been back 5 times. The Macadamia Chicken and Crispy Fish are the standout dishes for me and a must order. Sometimes I add a lunch (1/2 size) portion of Pad Thai. My family has tried another 5-7 entrees and been pleased. At this point, I feel like you can't go wrong with the entrees. Cons: The dumplings are fairly average, with the pan fried version sometimes overdone. The calamari were thickly battered and overcooked and definitely not like other tempura I've seen.

I posted a rave review my last visit here, food is great. This time I couldn't wait any longer to even order. After 15 minutes I walked out. The only girl working said they were short staffed. The owner/chef shouldn't even open the door if he can't provide service. Ruined what was my expectation of a good lunch. Due to wasted time had to settle for fast food in order to get back to work on time. I suggest calling first to make sure they have enough staff to adequately provide service.

We have eaten here for many years, always solid and tasty Asian basics. Especially for a quick but enjoyable lunch. We add two more reasons to praise them. If you ask for straws for your drinks, you get paper ones, not plastic. And need a take home box? Not Styrofoam, no, one of pressed paper. Three cheers for caring about the environment. Finally, they also give back to causes in their community as a portion of proceeds. Gotta love the combination of great food, environmental caring, and celebrating community spirit.

Really liked my lunch here and its very reasonably priced for the high quality of food you get here. They have a fish tank which my kid was a big fan of and theres plenty of parking since its in a strip mall. The drunken noodles were some of the best ive ever had anywhere and comes with a mixture of shrimp and chicken which is very cool so you dont have to pick one or the other. The waiter was awesome and real patient with me and my little guy who thought it was best to decorate the floor with cheerios. Cant wait to go back and try the rest of the menu, ill be going here alot!

I do not give negative reviews often. I'll start with the positives: I got the correct take out orders and it was ready in 20 minutes just like they said over the phone. The texture of the drunken noodles was good. My fiancé said the chicken in his pad Thai was good. Negatives: I got drunken noodle with tofu. There were odd vegetables in it: broccoli, mushrooms, baby corn, burned green beans. The flavor of the sauce was WAY off. I'm not sure what sauce they use but it tastes gross. The tofu was very chewy. And there was a hair in my food, but considering that I didn't like the dish anyway, it wasn't that much of a disappointment. My fiancé also said he had mushrooms in his dish (who puts mushrooms in pad Thai?) and the flavor was off. I understand the concept of Asian fusion restaurants as having different menu items inspired from different locations in Asia. It doesn't mean you dump mismatched flavors into a disgusting dish. You need a new chef! Also, the older waitress who rung me up at the register was rude to the younger waitress in front of me. Very unprofessional. I have yet to find excellent drunken noodle in the Triangle, but there are lots of places that are WAY better than this one. Way to ruin my favorite dish, Tabgerine Cafe!

We were excited to try this place because of all the good reviews and we love Thai so we decided to try takeout. The pineapple fried rice was one big heap of over cooked mushy rice with a kind of sauce that made it look red. It looked more like Mexican rice than a Thai fried rice. They must have started out with hot rice from the cooker... I wasn't impressed. We also ordered the spicy basil tofu and vegetables. Very skimpy with the tofu but flavor was just ok - not wow but just ok. The Pad Thai with chicken and shrimp was a big pile of bland, gelatinous rice noodles with over cooked rubbery chicken and no familiar Pad Thai flavor that I've ever had. I've never seen Pad Thai that was as colorless and bland as this was. Should have wondered about how authentic it was when they had Indian food on the menu as well but I just hate that we just wasted money on this and were left really disappointed...

I've eaten here about a dozen times, with the first 9 or so times being great and then.....it's just crashed. The last three meals I've eaten here hd a flare of the kitchen seemingly "winging it", sauces not made correctly, or at all, bland and really poorly executed food. Not even the same dishes I've ordered before. I was like, "what is this". There's really no excuse for this. The last was the pad Thai, which is a staple mrk dish for any Thai restaurant. The noodles were boiled and there was no sauce!!! No peanut, no nothing, just noodles that appeared to have some chicken broth added. It's terrible!!!! Insulting and after I left, I decided I would not be back. Three strikes, you're out and this is the past three meals now.

2 wait staff for a 10 table restaurant with 8 tables seated, 6 already eating. I waited 10 minutes for water, 20 mins to place my order, 45 minutes to get food...and this was weekend lunch. Literally fell asleep twice at the table. Food was average. This is the only Thai restaurant in the area rhat U would not go back to. Giving them 2 stars because I didn't notice cockroaches, the prices were decent, and I'm in a good mood.

This used to be my fiancé's favorite restaurant. We would eat here very often, and considered ourselves regulars. Once I ordered the macadamia chicken and my chicken was not done. I told the waitress and they refused to fix it for me. The owner never returned my calls and we stopped eating here for a year or so. Recently we went back and gave them another chance. I didn't order chicken, because I didn't want a meat that could possibly make me very sick if undercooked. Our waiter was really nice, and the food was really good as it was all the times before. I'm really hesitant about going here still, considering the past experience.

Went today during lunch time and thought that it'd be a hit since the reviews were so good. I ordered Thai iced tea(terrific) and a lunch special. I got walnut chicken with Thai coconut soup. The soup came out first and it had some chicken, veggies snd was seasoned well. The entree came out and we hated it. The walnut chicken was so bland and sauce tasted like it was made with dirty tap water. The chicken was tough and we had to use butter knives to help cut it into bite sized pieces. We left most of the food on our plates, paid for our meals and left. I have no idea why the chicken was so tough because it was white meat chicken.

The place is what it says on the map; unassuming, compact but great food for an excellent price. Given its Asian food from a multitude of countries & cultures, you'll find something for you if you like Asian fare. The food is not as creamy as some of the mainstream restaurants, so feels like it's home cooked. There are gluten free (even if not advertised that way), and vegetarian options. Give it a shot!

Go here at least once a month for the Macadamia Encrusted Chicken with #3 spice level. It comes in a bowl with perfectly cooked Jasmine rice on the side. It is flavored with curry and coconut, with lots of veggies, onions and red peppers. Thoroughly satisfying. Also love thier mixed salad with house ginger dressing. Portions are ample and service is quick.

Great food, but only when in season.

My usual MO when I have a negative experience anywhere is just to not go back again, but I was thoroughly insulted by a staff member. I called and politely explained that the food we regularly order (which carries the sense that we regularly patron this place) did not taste the same: the rice was hard, taste was off, it just wasn’t in its usual glory. I asked if next time we come in they could rectify the situation since we had already picked up the food and gone home. She said “well unless you bring the food back, I have no way of knowing if you just ate the food and are trying to get something for free, which I’m not accusing you of doing I just-“ YES YOU WERE ACCUSING ME OF DOING JUST THAT WHICH WHY YOU SAID IT! Less than 10 mins later she calls me back and said she talked to her boss and he said they would replace the food no problem. Don’t get me wrong the food here is usually good but Customer Service & the experience mean just as much. My interaction with the staff member should have gone way better. There was no apology, no remorse, just a lot of blaming and accusing the customer. Shameful.

Awesome restaurant, very small fun place to grab lunch. Will let you choose your spice level out of 5 for people who want to max out their tastes buds ability to feel. Been here multiple times and wish I went more often.
