Great people and amazing food! We had a birthday gathering planned for friends and a reservation at another restaurant. When that experience began on a bad note we left before even being seated. I called Rooster’s South Park with a party of 10 at 7pm on a Friday night with Absolutely NO HOPE that they could get us in. To my complete surprise, they told me to bring them over. We were seated within 10 minutes of arriving and everyone on the host staff was very accommodating. I’ve dined at Rooster’s previously but for many others in our party it was their first experience. The food and service could not have been better!! I truly believe you have made some first time guests repeat guests for life. Great job and thank you.
Amazing food and service!
Y'all... The burger at lunch is amazing!! Brisket burger w cheddar. Melts in your mouth. Service is always great and any restaurant Jim Noble owns is a rock star place
Worst experience ever. service, Options available from menu, long waits and way pricey... My brother said food was good I think it is just aight.
The scallops were delicious. Nice wine list. Excellent mac n cheese. Great service. Highly recommended as a casual spot to grab dinner that can flex up to a suitable place for occasions.
Great ambience, variety and quality of food and service.
Rooster’s SouthPark is a reliably delicious spot to go for almost any occasion. The service is top notch and always friendly, and the quality of the food does not disappoint. Good wine selection. Interesting atmosphere. Expanding and interesting concept and brand.
My wife and I came to Rooster's for lunch and had a good experience. The short rib sandwich with side of corn and iceberg salad were good, but the star of the day goes to their version of the French onion soup, excellent!
Amazing food, very quick service. This restaurant is located across from the double tree near the South Park mall. Reservations are recommended as the restaurant can get busy. Try the bbq chicken if your feeling like something different. Highly recommend and pairs great win a glass of red and the potatoes.
Absolutely amazing food. Great service. Allison was our server. She was absolutely amazing. Very attentive. Quick. She knew the menu very well. We ordered off her recommendation. And it was amazing.
Excellent food. Great service. Seated right away. Ordered wings, bar b que chicken, corn and mac and cheese. Tasted amazing. I will be going back.
The food was superb. Our Server James was excellent. I will definitely be going back.
It Was My First Time Meeting Roosters On A Saturday Night. Now To The Part About Why I Gave It A One Star. It Is About The Food And Wait. I Waited Sorta Like A Hour And A Half. Now Let’s Talk About The Food. My Pasta It Was TOO Much Butter Imagine Noodles With Soup That Was Exactly How It Was. Now To My Grilled Cheese Too Much Cheese I Needed Some Plain Bread! And I Think That’s It..Well This Is Not The Place I Perfer For A Good Dinner
Top notch drinks and food. The tomato bisque is the best around.
Went there on the fall. Nice outside sitting area. Very nice atmosphere. Staff were friendly.
Food was absolutely amazing. Service was great too. Tried many different dishes here and they were all top shelf items.
Food is excellent, atmosphere is perfect, prices are high-but it's worth it
I've been here twice. The first time was very good and overall a great experience. The food was a bit pricey but worth it overall. The second time on the other hand was horrible. I had to argue to go to Rooster's because others in the family wanted to go somewhere else. I eventually convinced them to go after explaining how good it was the first time. We ordered our food and got drinks. The soda's were terrible. We weren't given bread until we asked which didn't come out until after our food. When we did get our food my father was then told that they didn't have trout and that he'd need to order something else. This was 30 minutes after ordering food and I've never had someone wait that long to tell someone they didn't have something. Why not come back out and just say "hey we're out of this what else would you like?" instead of waiting until everyone has their food but him. We were barely checked on and were almost ignored at times. Nothing was discounted or offered in return for the horrible service. Half the food was as good as last time but the other half wasn't great. I likely will never stop hearing about this from the rest of my family and I will most likely never return.
This was my first visit, it definitely won't be my last! Great food, great service, and a fun atmosphere.
Absolutely loved it! Simply well prepared food. The only thing difficult about it is deciding what to order because it's ALL SO GOOD
Amazing Tomato Bisque... like I didnt know it could taste that good amazing. Shrimp and grits were really good too. Wasn't a huge fan of the Hanger Steak given the price of it. Was a good size but I am picky about steak.
Great dine-in place. We went on office dinner and ended up spending more than four hours at the place. The wine served was of good quality and the waiters were kind enough to explain our crowd in great detail the different offerings. The bartenders are fun, and they have enough space for kids to play as well. Overall nice place to spend quiet evening with your loved ones, but a bit on expensive side
Excellent service and exceptional food!
This place had a nice atmosphere, and the staff was friendly. The location I went to had taller wood tables, and slightly uncomfortable wooden stools that you sit on. You may need to pull out your smartphone to define some of the terms on the menu. Portions were not as large as I would have expected at this price point. Also, no side dishes come with any of the entrees that I saw. The sides dishes are all extra cost - but they do come in large enough portions that you could share with several other people (aka family style dining for the sides). The location that we were at had a large selection of beer & wine. For the kids and non-drinkers they had a selection of Coke products.
Was great and the waitress was awesome her name was Emery she was knew
The portions could be a little bigger but man was the food good!
It was okay for the first time. It was a little too pricey for me.
The atmosphere is amazing! The staff is great!! Mac n Cheese was outta this world!!
Delicious food, nice ambience, not a huge fan of the taxidermy look, .but the food was very tasty.
Excellent food! Oliver was excellent server!
Great flavor, good service, portions a little small, but other than that a great experience in a wonderful setting.
Great first impression. Very good service and food was delicious and nicely presented.
Food is Unbelievable Good here!
Great atmosphere, great tasting food. My server Seth recommended the lunch special meatloaf and it was delicious. I only wish the portion was a little larger!
Very friendly service without being rushed. Everything is ala carte so it can get pricey quickly. The food is delicious and varied so pricing is fair.
So , this is our go to on an every couple week basis. Essentially , they always get the food right and the service is great. The variety of fresh local fare is hard to match. Every other place that has this diversity tries so hard to be relevant and fresh , ROOSTER'S does it every day , every week and every month..... If you want fantastic local fare in Charlotte , Rooster's is hard to beat. Great drinks , appetizers and entrees....All local sourced and prepared with great flavor. Give them a shot and you will NOT be disappointed.
It was an amazing experience the food was very good and are waiter was on onpoint the hole time I would definitely recommend it
Excellent waitstaff and food, we got to taste some wine and the server knew a lot about pairings... great atmosphere too!!
Never disappoints. Fantastic food and service in a really pleasant space.
This location is easily one of my favorite spots in Charlotte. The service and food was impeccable and I highly recommend to anyone passing through. 100% plan on coming back!
First time here and the food was delicious. I highly recommend the wings and pan roasted corn. Service was wonderful and good mix of upscale dining and casual atmosphere.
Good food.
Very nice staff and great quality food!
Everything was amazing from the food,quality,servics... Best food ever.
Really good food, and great service. Love the concept of high quality local ingredients
Jeremy was my bartender. The atmosphere is cozy but modern. The menu is set up a little differently but I love all the local produce and daily special options! The food was actually a better quality than I expected from the prices. I had a Caesar salad, a daily special (crawfish pasta with green peas) and fudge pie, as well as one of the house cocktails- all AMAZING. Fantastic service from a down-to-earth guy. I honestly can’t wait to go back and sit at the bar again.
Pricey for the portion size but good
Went here for a quick cocktail. Ordered a roasted chicken pizza that was very good. All the dishes that were coming out of the exhibition kitchen looked and smelt amazing. Will definitely come back for a more proper meal.
Great food and great service!
I have been here 3 times now and have gotten the hanger steak every time, it is absolutely phenomemal as is everything else that I have tried from the menu. My only complaint is that they got rid of the brownie, which was one of the best that I have ever had :(
Delicious food every visit I’ve had. There is usually a temporary daily menu of chef inspired items and a high quality core menu as well. Burgers have fries but most items are à-la-carte with varied prices for sides. The Mac and cheese is some of the best I’ve had outside good homemade. This visit we left room for dessert and the Carrot Cake with Pistachio Ice-cream was excellent. However our party of 4 had a bill of over $130 without any alcoholic drinks. (So if you plan to enjoy one of their many drink choices just know it could peak higher.) But if your budget allows or it’s a special occasion there’s not a much better choice for Southern/Homestyle cooking in the area that I’ve found.
Fantastic lunch! Our waiter was great with the kids and the options for them were perfect. Portions were pretty small but delicious!
Such a cool place. We went for lunch on a one day shopping trip. Wanted to try a new place. The building and atmosphere was awesome. Staff was so accommodating and friendly. The food was local and fresh. There was an open kitchen and I enjoyed watching the staff work. I had grilled chicken spinach salad. Then the gelato. I loved it! The four of us went for a nice dinner! We got a bottle of Cabernet, duck wings and a charcuterie board! For dinner I got the stuffed poblano peppers and they were delicious! They came over rice and asparagus stuffed with short rib! I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Nice place. Food was a little overpriced
We did work(remodeling) for them. But Jimmy the owner is the best to work with. And the food was great
Great food and service every time. Good prices too. The smoked wings are incredible!
Nice private dining event. Food was great. Staff was friendly and attentative. Environment was classy and low key. Very enjoyable experience
Quality food, and better wait staff. It's a classy place to grab a meal.
Food was good, but the entrees arrived too quickly, the service vessels were awkard, especially the casserole dish for the bbq chicken, and no dinner plates or clean side plates were offered, and they only seem to have economy white napkins that left fluff all over my black dress. Also, the coconut cake was a bit dry in the middle. If the food hadn't made up for the other issues I would rate it a 2.5 or 2.75.
Great food ..mac & cheese is best ever & chicken literally falls off the bone
Fabulous place for date night. A little pricey but worth every dime. Great service without being overwhelming. My simple chicken wrap was filled with yummy ingredients... So different and delicious. And desserts are large portion and to die for!
The restaurant was very clean, the service was excellent and very friendly, watched is very closely do we never had to ask for anything but did not hover around, the food was excellent and portions very good sized. Will definitely have more business meetings there.
Great service and location, but menu is limited.
Bit pricey but great food
First visit... went there to celebrate my sister's birthday. Great atmosphere and food. Waiter was great as well... ask for Seth if you go!
This was our first time at roosters. Service from the get-go was quite good. I ordered the turkey club others at our table what is shrimp and grits as well as the crispy duck livers and the mac and cheese. All dishes were quite tasty. This was a lunch visit and would like to come back for dinner and give it a real try
I had not been to Rooster's in years and really enjoyed the visit. We got in early and did not have to wait. By the time we left the place was buzzing! My food was delicious. The tomato bisque was perfect and so were the crab cakes. The menu has diverse selections to please most people. Worth visiting. ☺
Our server MacKenzie (sp?) was as delicious as the food.
Great food and vegetables.
Excellent meal! (Probably because of Chef Gamble)
Always good service and food.
Not my first time at this restaurant, and will not be my last. Excellent staff only equaled by the excellent food. Always an enjoyable experience.
Great food, cool vibe. The menu is creative but the wings are probably the best thing on the menu. They're incredible and you should absolutely try them.
Lots of great Southern Flavors here! I really love their fried oysters - great with spinach salad!
Good food and service. Great ambiance and clean restaurant.
Excellent group dinner! The food and wine were great! Desert too! We had a large group, including two young kids, and the service was great. Good selection of wine. A bit pricey, but worth it. We had appetizers, main course with sides, wine, and desert. Some of the sides are large enough to share. Get two sides for three people to share. My meal came with a side.
One of my favorites places now..You should try Duck confit and Mac and cheese, Delicious!!
My son and his wife took me there for Mothers day. It was Great! Excellent food and service!
Service was 4* but the food was 1-2*... Fries and Mac and cheese came out overcooked(black crusted top)... We go another order of fries that were better, but didn't want to complain anymore about the Mac and cheese after the 3 cheese appetizer wasn't appealing at all. My girlfriend ordered her steak medium and it came out dripping with blood... She said her outback steak was better and cooked to her liking last week @half the price
The food is excellent and the service is attentive. Prices are about what you'd expect for an above average restaurant. Parking can be a challenge during the week.
Visiting from Florida and was lucky to find this place. We ate here for lunch and I ordered the Brisket Burger, everything about it was perfect. The Mac and cheese was the greatest I've ever had and I highly recommend it. Service was quick which was great because we were in a bit of a rush. Madison did a great job. No complaints, would visit again.
It was amazing. Great service, great food. Such a nice selection from meats to vegtables. The vegtables were amazing. Everything we ordered was just delicious.
Love the wings. Tomato soup is amazing.
Pricey but delicious
One of if not my favorite restaurant in Charlotte! The wings are the best, but so is the corn!!! Love getting a bunch of side plates and sharing. Never disappointed, great variety and creativeness, highly recommend to all.
I'm in the minority here it seems but I'm just not a huge fan of the Roosters menu. The south park location is nice in terms of ambiance. Service has always been good. But I have had the chicken in the past in addition to a few of the other appetizers and entrees and by far my favorite thing is the french onion soup. Otherwise I'd say the menu leaves me unimpressed. But it is a nice ambiance with a decent variety on the menu...
We had such a wonderful meal last night. Amazing selection of wine. We sampled many of their sides as well as pizza and chicken. The flavors were incredible and our server James went above and beyond.
Food was not to my taste but you may like it. Apart from that, service was astounding. Keep it up.
Good atmosphere, food was ok. Wings were overcooked and burnt. Would not go back. Went to Cow Fish for lunch much better right across the street.
The vibe in this place is amazing. My water was refilled even when I only drunk a little. And don’t get me started with the food. It was amazing as well. Especially the shrimp the sauce they paired with it had impeccable taste.
Wonderful service. Decent food. The brick oven pizza and salmon had zero complaints from our group.
I can't remember if I've left a review for Rooster's before, so I'm just doing it again! This is, by far, my favorite restaurant in Charlotte. My husband and I eat here at least once a month. The cheese board is always a great selection of cheese and accouterments. The smoked wings are a great alternative to deep fried wings. The pan fried corn is so good that I've started making a similar version at home... mine is not as good! The succotash is a combination of the pan fried corn and butter beans and is out of this world. So simple, but so good. Their seasonal old fashioneds are always a hit with us! The staff is always top notch. We've never had a bad experience! We will keep going back!
Server forgot to bring us our sides and then remembered after we finished our entrees. We felt forgotten about because the people next to us got their food before us, and they say down after us. Nothing special about roosters. Don't think I'll be coming back
Would give more stars if they had the option
Best smoked wings in Charlotte!
The soft shell crab sando was very good choice as an entree. Starting off with the crispy livers and calamari wasn't a bad idea either. Of course the chicken was tasty. And because of an order error I got to try the short rib sando as well. That ended up being a very beneficial error handle with expertise by our waiter.
My vote for best restaurant in Charlotte. The wait can be ling sometimed.
An exciting menu poorly executed. With the crowds and the high prices, I was gearing up for something special. Unfortunately, both our meals fell flat. The cheap wine can be bought by the case for the price of one glass. No reason for a return visit.
Amazing chicken! I highly recommend the BBQ sauce with the chicken. They have other very good selections from the menu
Excellent food, nice waitress, awesome environment.
Nice environment, friendly staffs..most important good tasty menu
Great atmosphere and great food. Our server Bobby was excellent!
Love this place. Wines are reasonable and quality is good. Food is excellent.
Fantastic food!! It was my 1st visit and I can't wait to go back
Food and service was excellent.
Awesome pizza and foods. Great customer service. Try to get reservation because of how busy they are.
Good food and great service.
This place is great... Food, atmosphere and service.
Food and service were excellent.
Excellent food and service. Our first time there and very good experience.
My husband and I just had dinner there and it was delicious! I got the brisket burger with a side of onion rings and my husband got the 1/4 roasted chicken. First of all I always order extra mayo with my burgers but this one was so juicy and seasoned so perfectly that nothing else was needed. You could tell it was quality beef which is not always easy to find these days. The onion rings were more like onion strings (thinner cut) and so delicious. My husband said his chicken was the best he’s ever had. It was tender, juicy and the wood oven gave it such a nice flavor. Highly recommend. We plan to go back again this week before we leave Charlotte.
Had a wonderful time at Roosters last night! Brisket Burger was super! What really made the meal was the experience of having Melinda as our server. She was beyond wonderful, full of personality and a joy to spend some time with!
Went to Roosters for the first time for mother's day. There was ten of us. We had the Mother's day brunch. Nice selection of food. Prime rib nice and tender. Very good.also the roasted wings was seasoned perfect. Very tasty. I love the setup. Hot bar Meat bar. Cold bar and dessert bar all separate so no need to stand in line for something you don't need. Nice atmosphere But a bit crowded unless due to mother's day. We had a great waiter. He was very personable and helpful. I for sure will be back. Due to we had the brunch the cost was $35.00 per person so I don't know the cost when brunch not being served . I'm sure it's Reasonable. Maybe close to Ruth Chris cost.
I just had the calamari and a glass of wine and it was delicious. The service was great as well. I will definitely be coming back.
I have eaten here many times. We came in at 2 with nine people. Our service was not good. We had to wait a long time between appetizers and main food. We asked for dressings on side they were not. The spinach salad was missing most of the ingredients. One club sandwich the toast was burnt. The other club we requested not to be on wheat anything but wheat as customer had a medical reason as to why they could not eat wheat. The sandwich arrived on wheat. Our bill was $297.00 and there was even one charge that had to be taken off. I was really disappointed by service and food. I had bragged about Roosters being so good. I will not bring guests here again.
One of my top places to eat in Charlotte. Quality of food is great and service is good. Scallops, mashed potatoes, and salmon are all delicious. A little pricey but well worth it. Highly recommend! I haven't been to the Uptown location though - so I can't speak for there.
Amazing meal. Beef short rib, flounder, soups, and potatoes au gratin were fantastic. Great service!
Excellent food and dining experience. Small portions for the price but it is Southpark. Service was spot on also.
Took clients here. As always, excellent food, excellent service. Great evening.
Words will not do justice... just go!
Sushi Guru is awesome, sushi was fresh and delicious. Service was excellent!
Went here to eat dinner with a client. Bc eryn spacious venue with plenty of seating. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. Food to me was just ok and a bit pricey. I had the 1/4 quarter bbq's chicken. When ordering sides get several as they are small portions. Sides were yummy!!
Held our wedding dinner in the green room. Big shout out to the staff and managers for making our event really spectacular! I highly recommend roosters southpark!
We went with a large party earlier tonight. The table was not set for the number of guests reserved which left my husband awkwardly sitting on the corner before we moved 14 of our closest friends to accommodate him. The food had a seriously long wait. The waitstaff was very nice and well informed on what was safe considering my gluten allergy. My daughter's burger was burnt and heavily over salted. She refused to eat it despite loving burgers. Thankfully the fries were fine. When mine and my husband’s food came out way over salted too I knew there must be a real issue with the chef. I’m a salt lover, don’t get me wrong, but this was really a disgusting amount of salt. Since the wait was so long I didn’t have it in me to send back our food and wait again.
Despite this being my second visit, I felt a bit rushed by the waiter while dining alone. The waiter immediately brought me the check without asking me first, after inquiring whether i wanted dessert to which I responded "no, thank you'. Also when I first entered the restaurant, I waited about 10 minutes at the front desk before being acknowledged despite the presence of a hostess speaking on the phone at the desk. Another gentleman came to ask me about my seating preference and escort me to my table, from another area in restaurant. The escorting gentleman was courteous, presented me tea (which I requested) and came to check on me during while I was consuming my food serving. this portion of the visit I very much appreciated. The restaurant was not busy in either of the two visits. Yet, I had a much better experience during the first visit.
It was ok. Chefs daily dish was a bit too salty.
A great location and an open ambiance for a fun night out. Great food.
The rotisserie chicken is really good, definitely get the pan fried corn too. The Mac and cheese is advertised as the best but the cheese blend was actually a little too sharp for my taste. The draft beer selection needs definite work, not enough selection, I would add 4 more taps with more variety. Overall, this is a great place to take both a date or coworkers for the evening, I would recommend.
My employer recommended the chicken and onion rings
Really nice farm to table restaurant, the food was amazing. I had the chicken bowl which was an interesting combination including melon. The portions are kinda small for the price though.
Incredible! Get the coconut cake. You won't be disappointed.
Good service and good food
This is a wonderful establishment. Parking is tough, but we persisted. We highly recommend the Short Ribs. The Onion Soup was excellent. The Collard Greens were some of the best I have eaten. In fact, we asked for some guidance on replicating the greens at home and the Manager called the Executive Chef to get us more information. We have now been back twice (at least most of our group). It was my first time. I had the Short Rib Special.
Food was good-brisket burger. Don’t recommend sitting at the bar during dinner because you’ll definitely be ignored especially if by yourself.
Dinner was excellent for 3. Chef's special, roasted chicken and flounder was wonderful! The staff was very attentive. The server was really excellent. She was knowledgeable about the food, friendly without being overwhelming and very competent in her work. The manager was visible all throughout our visit. He did visit our table and was very genuine. I like the open air kitchen. Each chef was very focused, professional in appearance and busy. The restaurant was clean and in good repair. I recommend that you have reservations. 5 stars!
Not a fan of the kitchen staff. Servers, bartenders attend fine but the kitchen trips them up...
Food was very good! i had the shrimp and grits. Highly recommended! Now kinda disappointed with the size of the salmon. 4oz salmon. Despite size very good.
Roosters — SouthPark — Final Score: 2.5/5 — Staff: 5/5 Environment: 4/5 Quality of food: 2/5 Price: 1/5 04/21/18: My husband planned to take me to a nice place to eat a late lunch yesterday and decided for us to try something new, so we went to Roosters. This was our experience: We were greeted by kind hostesses who sat us immediately. The restaurant was upscale country, we enjoyed looking at the roosters on the wall while we waited for a meal and the smells were great. The seating layout was also nice especially if you are meeting with someone. At the table: The napkins were over-washed, the menu was confusing to read with vague descriptions... do not be fooled by the decent pricing—The entree we received did not come with a side and the portions were extremely small. Here is what we ordered: Appetizer oysters $15 - they were fried, served over cocktail sauce - 6 on a plate, the taste was nothing special - Snapper served over “veggies” $28 - Over cooked and dry, wasn’t specified that it was fried on the menu. - Veggies: a few leaves of kale, less than a half of radish and a spoon of sour cream Total = $46.55 Worth it? No. Small portions were the biggest disappointment—we would have left hungry if we hadn’t asked for more bread. The bread wasn’t even warm, maybe it was from the oven but it was cold like it was straight from the bag. Great atmosphere. Efficient staff. Short ribs, corn, mashed potatoes, duck .... everything is great, must come again!
Absolutely the best food and service South Park & Uptown.
The wings taste great a little pricey but it was worth it
Noisy, but attractive open atmosphere with a somewhat balanced menu. Good service. Good is properly prepared.
Great food and great service
Food was basic. Salmon was undercooked. Cole was great for his 2nd day.
This place is awesome. Food was incredible. A little on the pricey side but well worth it. We had the BBQ chicken and the pork chop. You get several options for sides but they are individually priced and not included with the meal. The macaroni and cheese is a must try, it was delicious. I will definitely be returning.
The first time we went it was great, but after a few repeat visits they have never been able to capture that first visit magic. Mashed potatoes are good, but you can't get them until after 5pm. The last two times we've gone we had to send out burgers back because they were woefully overcooked. Manager brought the remakes over and said they had to "work a few things out" in the kitchen. For the prices they charge, they are not worth any further repeat visits -- I'm not paying for them to "work things out"
Great service and food
Easy 5, we splurged that evening as 7 people had a check for 600$ but my og my, great food and good service, Lauren was a great server and Lumber Jack fish was amazing, few ssf lite coming undercooked at first but second round was great , and great as t charcuterie, love it
