Kayla is my go to if I come for breakfast in the morning! She’s so friendly and always on point with her service. The food is always cooked to order and while I’ve never had a problem myself, I’ve seen how quick they are to fix any issues that may arise. Small town, big food! If you find yourself travelling along the route passing Olympic, you have to stop! This little family restaurant is a rare gem. It maintains the small town feel, with delicious foods and a surprisingly robust menu. I highly recommend the chicken and dumplings or the popcorn shrimp. Both are amazingly flavorful and fresh. They also maintain a quality selection of side dishes. I sincerely wish I lived closer so I could return more often.

Three stars for great service and a clean restaurant. The food was inedible for me because of all the sugar in it. The corn even seemed to have sugar added to it. When I think of "vegetables" it does not include added sugar. I turn down the bread here because it's nothing special and rather flavorless.

Pleasantly surprised by this place. Food was pretty good. The menu has all kinds of options - sandwiches, breakfast, even seafood. I got the prime rib sub and it was delicious. The waitresses were very attentive and friendly too. I'll definitely eat here again.

Olympic is one of the better restaurants in the sleepy town of Walnut Cove. They have lunch specials for $8. The food is decent. The pintos and hush puppies were excellent! The sweet tea was just right! The food hit the spot! Lunch for 3 for $30, the going price around these here parts. Pics attached.

One of two location in the Triad area. The one in Walnut Cove is clean and the staff very attentive. The menu is a typical greasy spoon menu. We had the fetuccini Alfredo and it was very forgettable. I would still recommend this place because it's one of two decent places to eat at walnut cove.

2 of us had shrimp and catfish special.catfish not cooked enough,raw inside.waitress idea of compensation was too charge for 2 shrimp plates that was more expensive than the special plus regular shrimp plate would have more shrimp.gave 2 stars because shrimp and sides were good

My family and I went to Olympic yesterday morning for breakfast. The place was packed with no seating available but we were the only people waiting at that time. The waitress told us the obvious that we were next to be seated as soon as a booth or table opened up. Well, more people came in including 2 older men who began to complain about waiting. A booth became vacant and the the waitress promptly seated the older men who were behind us so we left. Normally we wouldn't care but we were short on time because my Grandson had to be at his baseball game at a specific time. These men didnt appear to have to be anywhere soon. Unbelievable that the Olympic staff would seat people ahead of people who had obviously been waiting patiently plus were there first just because these guys came in and started complaining about having to wait.

I can't ever find anything to complain about with Olympic. Everything here is great, from the cleanliness to the friendliness of the staff, to the AWESOME food! I always get the meatball sub with homemade potato chips, and I'm never dissatisfied. WIll continue to come here for food!

I give this 2 stars because the waitress was nice and did her job perfectly. The 3 negative stars are about the food. It looked like it came out of a Swansan frozen meal. The country style steak was served as two rectangular compressed shapes. The gravy was out of a jar. The roll was a 3 x3 square that was hard and tasteless. Lesson learned... will not stop there again.

Greek meets country cooking at its finest. Pork Souvlaki was near perfect. Tzatziki sauce and pita was spot on. My wife went little more country with hamburger steak with sauteed onions, cornbread to die for and a solid side salad. Great service.

Whenever we go to Walnut Cove to visit my mom, we always go to Olympic Restaurant for lunch. It's our ritual and we look forward to going. The food is always hot, tasty, fresh, cooked to perfection and always, always delicious!! Hats off to the cooks in the kitchen!! We live in Greensboro, NC and we won't eat seafood anywhere else. We look forward to the great customer service and we have our favorite and very special waitress named Anna who always goes the extra mile to satisfy us. But it's not just us but everyone else gets a little extra attention too. Any waitress that you get will go out of their way to help you even if you are not in their station. It's just always an awesome experience every time we go. If you are ever in the area or close to this restaurant, please take the time to stop by and get some real Southern Hospitality and great food!! THANK YOU STAFF OF OLYMPIC RESTAURANT!! This place is a Disgrace!! There were not any African American customers in the restaurant and when my African American family came in everyone stopped what they were doing and just looked at us. Several waitresses passed right by us without even speaking. The fourth waitress who was actually friendly asked if we needed assistance. We left because there wasn't any space available and because we didn't feel comfortable! How dare Caucasian people look you dead in the face as if you stink! It's 2018 and prejudice is still so prevalent! God created us all!!! I will NEVER go to this restaurant and will NOT recommend it to anyone!!!! No STARS from me!!

I visited this great place often while working. This visit was no surprise as the generious helping of food was great again. Everyone is friendly. They have ample servers to take your order and fresh refils of my ice tea were right on time. If I lived in the neighborhood, Olympic of Walnut Cove would be my favorite hangout.

Ordered the chicken parmesan, I got more noodles then I did chicken. There was a total of maybe 6 bites of chicken, the rest was noodles and sauce. No breading on the chicken either. When I told the wait staff, they expected me to suggest how they could make it right. Poor customer service and cashier didn't bother to even ask if everything was okay.

We eat there at least twice a week. Service is always great. I've eaten at least half the menu items. Love all the food except the Salisbury steak. It's some kind of over processed frozen mystery meat that makes me miss school food. The cobblers aren't too good, either, but everything else is great!

This is the 3rd Olympic I have eaten at. I have been to an Olympic in Kernersville and the Colfax locations as well. Very diverse menu at each but still pretty comparable. Great food.. portion size was well worth the money. Tammy our waitress was awesome too. Definitely wouldn't mind a return visit.
