I have a few VERY annoying dietary restrictions, the most severe and most annoying of which is an onion and garlic insensitivity. These conversations are always awkward with staff, I know they want to serve delicious food without worrying about this stuff, but Manna folks were very accomodating. To be honest, I was a little surprised, because I know their food is complex. It's much easier at a steak joint to take out onions and garlic!

Once the number one restaurant in Wilmington and now has gone downhill over the last couple of months. We have been to the beggar can’t be choosers Sunday a bench six or seven times and regular dinner multiple times. Are Recent dinner there for Beggars Was beyond disappointing. It took at least five minutes for somebody to greet us and take a drink order. Once we started repeating food we realized that the mystery dish and the fish dish were the exact same fish tacos. When we asked if we had messed up something up. The manager came over and said no we had to give the same thing because we were running out of supplies. The next day if we got was the exact same fish tacos but instead of fish we got steak for our meat course. Needless to say we were not excited about eating the exact same thing over and over and paying $200 for it. When they do it right which has been rare if any in the last couple of months, this restaurant is great. However the last four or five times that we have been have not been great. The one redeeming quality over the last two dinners was the bartender. She was friendly and made great drink. Unfortunately we will have to try new places for dinner now because I doubt that I will want to waste my time or money to see if the restaurant is getting any better.

Very nice restaurant! Extremely professional staff! This is definitely a restaurant that you want to get dressed up for a romantic dinner. Only thing is I am not a seafood or pork eater so there was only steak to choose from on the menu. No vegetarian or chicken dish available. Their wine list was a book! Lots to choose from! Take a sip of water...the staff fills it right up! Very attentative and friendly.

Manna is definitely worth trying once if you live in Wilmington. Our grilled octopus appetizer was amazing and my duck was was perfectly cooked. Service was somewhat slow. The restaurant was not crowded when we went but we waited about 45 minutes for food. They then brought us the wrong check and were very slow checking us out. The flavors in my dish were somewhat underwhelming. The meat of the duck and the wild mushrooms were very tasty but the two sauces on my dish were somewhat bland.

The presentation is well done as is the food. The waiter suggested we try the venisson, and we weren't disappointed. I was in a group of 6 guys, and we all enjoyed our drinks, apps, entrées and chocolate dessert.

Again this is the best restaurant in the area and the only place I want to eat now. ;) Not sure how anyone gave a bad review of this place. I love looking nice when I go out to dinner, It has a NYC feel to it. Love that!

Great atmosphere and usually fabulous food. Our service was slower than most nice restaurants but not bad. Most of food is a five, the service is a four, but our appetizer was a one. We ordered a lobster appetizer. When the lobster arrived I jumped in and started eating, it was a little chewy. My girlfriend took a bight and spit it out. The lobster was mostly raw or very under cooked and I already ate some. We called our server and the appetizer was replaced. They did not give us a free replacement and I had to wait 24 hours find out if I was going to be sick. Not a fun wait.

I don't usually like to review restaurants, seen their menu and looked at others, decided to go in and very pleased with friendly people and the service is great. The seasonings are the best we've had this weekend. Had to try a dessert that we normally would not have and each bite was heavenly.

What a pleasant surprise amidst college bars and draft beers there is this gem. We had intended on only having cocktails (which were phenomenal) however, we were seduced by the vast array of charcuterie available and indulged. We had more time and returned the following evening for dinner. The flounder was beautiful and the filet was perfect. They even made some changes to the sides to accommodate my food allergies. I look forward to my next visit.

Service and wine list very good. However they were out of the first three bottles I picked to try. Weird. Dinner was average while entree prices were high. Duck was highly recommended and was served nearly raw, rubbery and bland flavor. So overall a disappointment.

Very cool, upscale atmosphere. The drinks are artfully crafted and you can tell a lot of pride and work goes into each one. This place is more about enjoying an experience or time with some friends. This isn't a "bar you can get trashed at."

The food at Manna I have always considered to be outstanding; especially the seared duck breast with red center! What has taken their rating from 5 to 3 is blatant arrogance & poor customer service. The last two times that I was there, the food that was ordered was really long in coming; which would have been fine; a leisurely dinner; except the plates were put down in front of us & the waitress said: " You all need to eat quickly bc we have people waiting for your table!!!" Appauded doesn't begin to describe mine & my companion's reaction!! I asked to immediately Speak to the manager who put "the arrogant icing on the cake"!! My son's are international food & wine efficionados. We now go to Pinpoint twice each visit; Rx; & Catch!! We dine Carte' Blanche! Big price for arrogance!!!

Food was good, but at this price point it needs to be better than good. It needs to be outstanding, and it just wasn't. I had the scallops, and like I said they were good. But this was the 3rd time this week I've had scallops somewhere, and these were #3 on my list. For what they charge, they should be much better. Both Jack Mackerel's and Big Daddy's in Kure served me better scallops, and more of them, for less money. Mixed drinks were exceptional, though. Come here for drinks, but there's better food to be had in Wilmington for the same money.

My husband and I made arrangements with manna to serve my parents a special 5-course meal with wine pairings to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary. William, the manager, was awesome and his attention in creating a personal fine dining experience was above and beyond what we hoped for. My parents raved about the food, drinks and service (said their server, James, was fantastic). Even having travelled the world, they said it was one of the best meals they've had. Could not be happier with our experience!

Their normal menu may be pricey, but on Sundays they do a Beggars Can't Be Choosers menu in the bar area where you choose a type of plate or a type of drink and it's the chef's or bartender's choice as to what you get. The food plates are about the size of most tapas plates, so order at least a couple per person. Everything we got was delicious and the price was great. We've already recommended it to a bunch of our friends. You can also make reservations for the bar area on Sundays, which I recommend because it gets pretty busy around dinner time.

This was fantastic. We had an amazing time with a terrific waiter. The drinks were excellent, the bread and butter, the cheapest app on the menu, was amazing. The menu items are all puns, which I always appreciate. Could not have asked for a better dinner experience. Restaurant is split into a formal side and a bar side so you can’t go wrong.

Our first dining experience here! We have only ever had cocktails there and have always wanted to dine! It was lovely and Grace made us the best cocktails, not sure what all was in it, but it was amazing!! We ordered the pork belly appetizer and it was to die for! Next time I will order extra because wow! Everyone's entrees were delicious and the service was great!

Wow. A really nice little restaurant - flavor profiles are awesome. We shared four entrees and 4 appetizers, they were all spot on perfect. Anita waited on us, she was very good. They have others wondering around to fill water, clear plates, just a very great experience. I'd recommend the duck (the menu changes do the duck this week) the flavors around the mushrooms, nuts and rare breasts were awesome. Fun to watch the people walk by out the window so try for a window view.

My friends and I went here for a few drinks after a charity event downtown. The ambiance is very nice and fancy. The drink prices were about on par for most places, a bit pricey, but that is expected. The staff was helpful and very polite. We had no problems at all and enjoyed our time here.

Their predominately locally obtained ingredients are the finest money can buy, prepared lovingly by their talented chef, and displayed as fine art - splendidly beautiful to both the palate and the eye! The ambiance is unrivaled and you feel whisked far away as the lovely French inspired cuisine tempts. And yet, the fare is offered at sensible price where you leave with only the lovely taste in your mouth, not a bitter taste from an exorbitant bill often associated with such a lavish meal. Mr. Mellon is exquisite as the proprietor and your gracious host. There is honestly not a kinder, more intelligent, generous man in the restaurant world - perhaps at all. He remembers every detail of your last visit and leaves you feeling that he is truly honored that you chose to dine at his lovely manna. I have been privileged to attend a very special event at manna, for a very special cause, close to Mr. Mellon's heart. I can honestly attest that there has never been a lovelier event. Everything about the evening was a dream. Thank you, Mr. Mellon, for sharing your dream of manna - I know what Heaven will be like!

Not only was the performance beyond amazing (if you haven't heard of that young lady give her a look, a remarkable young upcoming artist!), the atmosphere was awesome! You can order small tapa plates at the bar ( chefs choice for presentation of item) and reduced price to try some awesome plates of food!!!! Call for exact hours. Our absolute favorite restaurant in Wilmington! The atmosphere and food have never disappointed but truly the cocktails are works of art! Luke has perfected bar tending and his approach is reminiscent of the rat pack era where a cocktail is complex and not simply a sugary high alcohol mash up. From the decor, lighting, staff, food and drinks Manna sets a very high bar!

I had heard mixed reviews but I have to say I am a true foodie and Manna speaks to my soul! We started with an appetizer and it was so good that we ordered a second one . Entrees were perfect, presentation and flavor. We also ordered 2 desserts and I was so impressed. The service was on point all night from the time we arrived until we left. One of the only places to get an adult drink in this town. Bartenders are some of the best in town and super knowledgeable. I have eaten here many times and love it but I would like to see some new menu items. The old standbys are great but I am ready to see some new menu items start coming out of that kitchen. I am not worried because Mr Billy Mellon knows his buisness and I expect that we will be seeing some new food this summer!!!!! Also get that Redbreast 21 at the bar already it's time!!!!
