My hands down favorite burger spot in the triad food is always fresh and beer selection has something for everyone. One time me and a friend went and they forgot to send our order to the cook the manager apologized and gave us a BIG discount. That's how you ensure loyalty. A+

My wife and I had a great time here. We are always looking for great new places to visit. Greensboro has a hidden gem in this place over on Soring Garden. Great food and drinks. I had the special that night. A crab meat and beef cheeseburger. Weird combo but tasted amazing. We shared a slice of gluten free cheesecake. It was all good.

Greatttttt menu! It took me almost 10 minutes to decide what to order because everything sounded delicious! I went with the big bird sandwich and was NOT disappointed! Great atmosphere as well. I will definitely be returning!

May have to go to street parking but service was prompt, staff was friendly (and honest about food choices. Was going Big Bird and he redirected to classic burger) we had party of 5, all went burger and they were all great. Sweet potato fries better than reg fries (side of ranch). The only thing to improve was the temperature but can't do much about a hot sunny day. Better sun than rain.

I had the Spicy Goat Burger - Bam! That was great! I got the 12oz burger which was 2 - 6oz burgers - could have done with just the 6 (it was lunch time) The fries were regular/average. Service was as good as it could be - it was noon and the place was packed which says a lot about a place. Love the variety! I will be back to try a different burger when I’m back in town.

My husband and I stopped here for a belated birthday dinner for him. We were able to grab seats at the bar which saved a lot of time because they were hopping today! Pun intended. I started with the fried goat cheese balls with spicy Thai chili sauce that was so good. warning, the chili sauce was SPICY but so good as an enhancement to the dish. I had the French onion burger with onion rings and loved it. My husband built his own burger and complimented the way the burger was made and cooked. He raved about the crispy fries. We both ended up taking half the meal home with us. The portions are generous without being ridiculous. I also loved that we could get the burgers in 3 sizes to help control how much food we were ordering. Staff is super friendly and helpful.

I have always given the best reviews to this place, you can verify, but today after 1 Hour plus waiting a table for a party of 9. The manager didn't know how to manage it nor trying to please the customer, she sat us on a table good for 6 or 7 definitely not 9. The rest of the staff is great. After one hour we crossed the street and had the best service. It is a shame that this place being so AWESOME have a manager with NO Common Sense!!!! Today Sept 01, 2019 5:00 pm UPDATE Sept 2nd, 2019: The owner has contacted us not only to apologize but with an action plan to fix the root cause of the issue. It is a fact that these are the best Burgers, it was a shame that we felt that way. However, everyone deserves a second chance!!!

The Spicy Goat is one of the best burgers I've ever had. No question. The staff are friendly enough, and the service is timely. Definitely has a college feel to it. My only complaint is the size of the place. If you're going with only 2-3 people you're fine, but if you have 5+ you'll likely have an incredibly long wait cause the restaurant just isn't set up to handle that. Would be great with a couple friends after work, not so great for the whole family on the weekend.

One of the best burgers I've ever had. Ordered the Maui Luau burger, 6 oz, rare. The pasta salad didn't do it for me, but that's purely preference. I'll definitely come back.

As always, Hops knocked it out of the park. Had the weekly special, the Southern Pines Burger. Topped with smoked Gouda and bacon, fried green tomato, chow chow, Cheerwine glazed jalapenos and BBQ sauce. Had it with hot chips and ranch. What can I say that hasn't been said before? Hops always executes, comes up with great combinations, and it's always an enjoyable experience!

Solid Burger, made to order. Plenty of Craft Beer on Tap. If you are coming for anything else (such as a chicken sandwich or fish sandwich,) thete is a pretty large upcharge for it. Make sure you are in a beef mood!

This burger restaurant is OUTSTANDING!!!!!!! We are in town for a basketball tournament and just happened by here for lunch, best decision ever! Burgers are awesome, beer selection is awesome, service is awesome, and prices are awesome. Locals are so lucky to have this burger joint.

Sooo good! Excellent beer choices. The stout I had was excellent. Ate the goat cheese burger with apple bacon and pepper jelly. A waiter suggested some pineapple and it was to die for! My picky husband was extremely satisfied. The staff are excellent and it's worth the wait.

Excellent restaurant. The beer, cider, and wine selection is great, without beside so ridiculously large as to paralyze choice. But it's all about the burgers and fries. Quite frankly amazing. The standards are all excellent, but always have SOMEONE in the group get the special burger of the week. They are amazing.

Delicious burgers and interesting combinations. Lots of beers to choose from and delicious appetizers as well. The Buffalo wings are low key fantastic. Some of the best I've had outside of Buffalo. Get here early. It's a small place and it fills up fast.

I was expecting a top notch experience, and was not disappointed. The server arrived at our table right away, and was well trained to answer our questions about the beers served. After looking over the menu, I decided on the classic lettuce, tomato and mayo dressed burger. We also got the parmesan truffle oil fries to share. The truffle flavor was very light and the fries were good on their own, so it worked well. Our burgers arrived quickly and mine was perfect. It reminded me of going to the pharmacy and having lunch at their counter, cooked by middle-aged women with beehives. It was perfect, the bun was soft but not mushy, the beef was perfectly medium, and good quality. My visit was during a lull, early afternoon, so my group and I were immediately seated. But I will visit, even during peak times and wait to enjoy Hops again. And I will remember to take photos when I return.

Not to be dramatic, but the Brooklyn burger was so good I could cry. Everything from atmosphere and service to the quality of food was amazing. I'll be back for this burger, even though I live an hour and a half away.

Met for lunch and this place really knocked our socks off. Our server, Kyle, was excellent. His menu and product knowledge was in line with that of a top waiter at a Michelin rated restaurant. I took his recommendations for both my burger and my beer with zero regrets. My son had 2 beers and the second, an 11% stout, was truly special. All four of us loved our meals. This place is totally worth the 25 minute wait. I’ll definitely go back if I find myself in Greensboro again. Wow!

Perfectly cooked burgers, with awesome options for sides, including poutine fries and even thinly-sliced fried veggies. I wouldn't get the hibachi burger again, since the beef totally overpowers the rice and shrimp, but it was still a good meal. Enjoy the patio if weather permits!

Simply put, my burger was amazing! The 12 oz was overkill but I was hungry! Great list of draft options and the fries were superb. the iced tea was fantastic as well (though I really wanted a draft). Will be back next trip to Greensboro to see my son in college. Thank you for the meal!

The service was great! And the food was amazing! A little on the pricey side, but well worth it if you are in the mood for a good hamburger. There is outside seating available which was nice. It is a rather small restaurant, so at peak times could equal a long wait, however they do handle wait times really well!

Let me just say, came here due to the reviews, and absolutely the best decision we made while we were in Greensboro. Got the pineapple jalapeno ale and it blew my mind how great it was. And then came the burgers and fries. Let me just say it was absolutely one of the best burgers I ever had. Stop here for an excellent bite, and great service.

We are on the patio and received solid service late afternoon yesterday. My dining partner and I both enjoyed our burgers and I my beer. Prices were appropriate and I'd rate it a good value. Burger was cooked exactly as requested (medium) and was perhaps theb burger I've ever had. I wish I had tried them when they were in Chapel Hill. They blow Al's Burger shack out of the water. No comparison. Will be back.

My boyfriend, his nephew, and I went to this location Sunday at 7:40. We waited a little while before our orders were taken, but that didn't really bother us. What really grossed me out was the fact that his nephew noticed that someone poured beer into to ketchup bottle. We told the waitress cleaning next to us and she took the bottle and told the girl that was our waitress. Our waitress told us that her and the other waitress could also smell and taste the beer instead the ketchup bottle, so we will not be coming to this location ever again.

Had a great dinner at Hops Burger Bar during our UNCG family weekend. The employees were extremely pleasant. We had a small spill situation, and our waitress was very nice about it. The host up front had charisma, and handled the large amount of people coming in efficiently, and with humor. We Will most definitely be back!

I love Hops. I'm not much of a beer drinker, but their selection is huge. And the burgers are phenomenal. I absolutely adore the French Onion burger. It's always thick and juicy. They have multiple options for the patty and bun. The fries are crisp and fresh. The only downside is the parking lot is always packed and pretty poorly designed. But the restaurant itself is very highly recommended!!

Waited 45 minutes for a table and ended up getting seated outside with a stray cat and under some bushes. Fried cauliflower app was salty and hard. May as well been raw cauliflower. When the server asked us how we liked it we explained to her we thought it was hard and she basically acted like she didn't hear us. Ordered a blue cheese burger. Very uninspired. Meat was cooked right but had no flavor and there was literally 3 crumbs of blue cheese. Don't understand the rave reviews. Big burger spot is much better with no wait, no stray cat, flavorful burgers, and reasonable prices.

It's no secret that this is an acclaimed burger joint, and for good reason. With plenty of fantastic pre-built options, a variety of proteins and buns, and a huge list of toppings, the burgers you can dream up seem endless. A nice beer list, great service, and the Wall of Fries add even more reason to get in there. I'm not much for waiting for a seat, but Hops makes it worth it.

We took friends from out of town for a weekend lunch. We had a great time, and the food was delicious as always. First time I have been in, and ate something other than a burger. I had the avocado BLT, and it was great. Everyone in our group loved the food, and the atmosphere. Way to go, Hops, for showing our guests a great meal and a good time.

Service is good, and there's usually a wait time. Nice rotating beer selection. I've had the best burger in GSO and an average one, depending on the time and how busy they are, though. Hit or miss at times but usually very quality.

Recommended here. No regrets. Great food and service. 2 people, 2 six oz burgers, 1 fry, 1 onion rings, 1 soda... $30 after tip. Not terrible but not hungry for dinner even 7 hours later.

I wish I could give more stars! My husband and I were very pleased with our burger. The burger we got was juicy and the meat and toppings (bacon) were top quality. And finally someone who knows how to make delicious onion rings! We are both looking forward to going back. The only drawback was the place was small but the food was so worth lack of space.

This place is generally pretty busy, and the food is good. Our waitress, however, was practically nonexistent. I know when the place is busy, it can be difficult to attend every single table, but I shouldn't have to find someone else to ask for my check. However, the food is worth it, and I plan on visiting again.

Very popular and busy restaurant - for a reason! Their burgers are huge, made to order, and so good! They have handmade chips and fries and lots of sides. Clean, very loud place. Only complaint is its too small, even without outdoor seating. May have to wait when it's really busy. Extra parking is across the street on a single car wide gravel path. A little dangerous for incoming/outgoing traffic, and pedestrians trying to walk there.

I was really impressed, funky joint with some creative options on the menu. Really enjoyed the Thai fries. I wish I didn’t come for lunch so I could try some of the cool beers they have. Parking across the street when it busy, which is most of the time and I now see why. Cool staff and tons of food options. Definitely give it a try, I’ll be back as soon as I can.

Man o man let’s start with the “ ONE “ negative remark, got our food to go and they use a huge plastic container which in my opinion is not the way to go ( no pun intended ) ! Use paper wrap for burger and paper container for fries like most other places ! The plastic option is horrible for environment ! Now on the food side !! Fuc@king delicious !!! Crispy fries on outside and soft on inside ! Burger was tasty, bacon was very flavorful and all the veggies seemed fresh !! Top 3 burgers I’ve ever had easily ! That’s pretty damn good concidering I’m a truck driver and I always look for small, unfranchised burger joints !! highly rec’d this place, just please recycle your To go tray if you decide not to stay and enjoy the many craft beers they have to offer !!

Excellent food! We sat at the bar and the service was a bit lacking. No silverware til we asked, drinks were slow, no offering of the daily special. One weird thing was that the whole staff lacked engagement with the clientele, no eye contact at all. Overall a very nice meal at a good price, exceptional quality food.

I got the Spicy Goat Burger w/ fries Zucchini chips which seems to be the popular one and I added onions but I should've asked them to add some grilled Jalapenos as well because I felt it was missing that little bit more of kick I was looking. All in all, everything was still fantastic and would definitely come back if I'm in the area.
