I was surprised in a good way how large the portions are. The $5 salad is quite large and has lots of onions and tomatoes. The grill chicken is very large and tastes great. Huge selection on beers. The meals with tuna were great. If you want great bar food with good seafood on a pier by the ocean for very reasonable prices, this is the place.

Wasn't to impressed, just a normal place to eat on the beach. I'd say it's worth to go at least once. My tastes are my tastes and might be different from others. The location and views are what makes this place worth the visit. The bar is another highlight and great place to unwind.

We were told that we were not allowed to open the plastic the shirts are in to check the shirt out before purchase. Well, the shirt has no pocket as was stated on the package and the collar is wrinkled like it has been worn and washed numerous times. This is why we wanted to open the plastic and check out the shirt. No more business from us or our friends.

Love going to Fisheads. Rachel, our waitress was super. Karaoke was not conducted well. I realize K.. is for folks to have fun, but there was a group of folks there just making fools of themselves (intentionally) and they performed five or more times while others only got one opportunity. I have no problem with having good time, but the KJ needs to spread the wealth.

Great bar and restaurant! We love Nags Head, and this place is one of the reasons why. It’s hard to find a great dive bar at the beach feels authentic and quaint. This is the type place Don Henley is revering to when he says...”lets go down to the sunset grille...” We’ll be back for many years to come!

Exactly what your mind's eye is looking for when on vacation by the ocean and want fresh prepared food that doesn't cost a lot. All dishes; while simple where freshly prepared and a solid value; although not a cheap hole in the wall. Will definitely go back if staying in the area again.

Great spot right on the pier! There are tables under the covered bar and then tables out on the pier. Nice draft beer selection. Good menu choices with great prices. All of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Perfect for kids and adults during the day. (I did not go at night). Would definitely go back when in town!

We love this place. 40 beers on tap plus their huge selection of bottled beer. The restaurant sits out above the beach with a great view of the ocean while you eat or drink. The conche fritters are the best item on the menu. There is live music most, if not every, night. The staff is friendly, even when they get busy. Everytime I am in the area, I make a point to visit this restaurant.

We came to the Outer Banks on a trip for a week, and this was easily the greatest place we've been to. It's a wonderfully laid back place in an idyllic setting, with nice staff and unbelievably cheap prices (seriously, HOW do they even make a profit!?). Happy hour has 15¢ shrimp. I literally ate 80. I have no regrets.

First and last time visit. I'm sure others have had better experiences but definitely NOT worth the risk at their price point. Service was the absolute worst. Servers seemed to have favorite tables and visited them frequently while ignoring the rest. We asked several times for refills but never got them. The outdoor tables were covered in shrimp tails and bird poop. Trash cans were piled high and the place smelled awful. The food was actually decent but considering all the major drawbacks to this place, 2 stars is generous.

Ate here last week. The wait for our food was pretty long but it was worth it cause the food was really good! Being out in the open on the pier was challenging that day cause the wind was terrible but the view was beautiful! Our waitress was very nice and friendly! Great place overall!

Parking can be tight but you can park off in the side of the road. We got there about 6:30pm, seat yourself, sat out in the pier. Despite the numerous cars we walked right in and got a table. Waiter came right to us. Prices were very reasonable. Not a huge menu but the crab cake burger was excellent. The live music was really enjoyable. It was really windy and I would recommend a jacket. Views were worth being slightly cold.

Excellent beachside dining! Come and seat yourself :) Tables line the deck up to the entrance of the fishing pier. The bar section is fully covered and lively, and around half of the tables are spread out around the southern end of the deck with umbrellas for shade. If I could eat fish tacos every day I would do it here with the sound of the waves crashing underneath me.

Check it out! Nice break while on the pier fishing or just stop by for a quick beer or bite when in South Nags Head. They serve quick meals or snacks (not great food!), beer and wine beverages, while sitting over the Atlantic. Great breeze and views on a sunny day or evening. It's usually pretty busy on a nice day. Family friendly.

My first time in the establishment and was excited to try some good food that a friend had recommended ... until I went to the restroom to wash my hands and watched a gentleman walk in and use the restroom to walk right out and NOT washed his hands. I followed right behind the gentleman to make sure I didn’t see what I saw and watched him walk right into the kitchen. Yes, it was a cook that walked right out of the restroom and not washed his hands! I, a concern guest, watch him not wash his hands once he walked into the kitchen but the put his dirty hands into the ice to fix him a drink. For that, I did not eat and will not be returning.

It’s a nice place to hangout, the staff are nice and there’s decent music. Ate there a few times, the food is okay, it taste better if you’ve been drinking. If you like cider, they’ve got a blackberry cider that’s great.

Great location out on the pier! We were very comfortable on a very hot day. Location was clean, wait staff was friendly, and it was probably the best meal we had all weekend! Plus, who doesn't want a good meal on the ocean? I'm not a seafood eater, so I really appreciated that there were multiple options for me.

This place is hysterical. Exists completely in spite of any kind of crazy beach-front weather. It was storming while we were there and everything was soaked, yet it was business as usual! People of all walks of life are packed into together laughing, drinking, and just generally having a good time. PS: their "painkiller" cocktail is to die for.

We came on a karaoke night and it was a completely fun atmosphere. The food was surprisingly really good and the service was awesome. Everything else was closed by 9:00 so this was perfect with it's later hours. We got the shrimp tacos, conch fritters, and a fish basket and it was all 100% worth it.
