I don’t know what kind of witchcraft they’re using, but these are hands down the best burgers and fries I’ve ever eaten. They’re perfectly cooked, never dry, don’t leave you feeling gross, and every time it’s as good or better than the last time! Pro tips: get the Fat Andy’s sauce on the burger and get a side of dippy cheese for the fries.

My biggest regret about this place is driving past it my whole life and never stopping in. I have eaten burgers from around the area and this is my favorite. It's all good here. My go to is a classic, but sometimes I mix it up with a cheeseburger with lettuce, onions, and the fat Andy's sauce. Tastes like a Big Mac, but you know without sucking.

My favorite burger is Fat Andy's. I mean, who doesn't love a fresh, hand-pattied, juicy, succulent Double-D?!? Or, if you're really hungry, a Triple-D! :O Try it with chili & slaw (Carolina style). You'll need a bib, but that's a sign of an excellent burger. :) Even better than the burgers, though, are the fries. Hand-cut every day, skin-on, and preferably extra crispy. Served in a paper bag, which soaks up any extra grease. I grab a little cup of ketchup with lots of hot sauce & pepper, and I am transcended to french fry heaven! Eat 'em while they're hot. The burger will be just as delicious the next day if you fill up on fries. ;)

Outstanding burgers and fries. I love a good burger, and I love this place. Watch carefully when driving by, or you will drive by! Fat Andy said sometimes even he misses it ;-). It is seriously worth finding this place though. He makes great homemade burgers just like his mama used to make. He has all the fixings, and some chili cheese fries for the side. Don't miss it. If you love a great burger, you will love Fat Andy's.

My family and I stopped here after a day on the beach on Labor Day 2017. My wife had read the reviews and Fat Andy's did not disappoint!!! The service is fantastic and the folks who work their are extremely pleasant. The burgers were fresh and some of the best I have ever eaten. My 2 kids loved theirs as well. So much so, that by the time the food came and I went to grab ketchup, my 12 year old had pretty much devoured his cheeseburger. Looking forward to our next beach trip and a meal from Fat Andy's!!

Fat Andy's is basically a local version of Five Guys, which if you like Five Guys isn't a bad thing. The burgers are almost identical but I don't believe there are as many options for toppings. I think their prices are better than Five Guys but to be honest I didn't pay much attention to the price when I was there. The restaurant itself is little more than a shack, though, so eating outside is pretty much mandatory. Again, not necessarily a bad thing. There are picnic tables on either side of the building. You order inside, find a table outside, and a person finds you and brings your food when ready. The fries are good and served inside a greasy paper bag. Also, my daughter had a grilled cheese sandwich which she said was very good.

Definitely worth the stop. The burger was absolutely delicious. I would definitely go with the double cheeseburger with chili next time instead of a single. The hand-cut fries we're out of this world. Prices are very reasonable and the food speaks for itself. I will definitely make this a regular stop. They have the best burgers in Brunswick County! Mel and Andy run a tight ship and there is always a line out the door so I would call ahead if you don't have a long lunch break or need to grab and go. There chili cheese fries are excellent and for the price and what you receive its well worth trying. Definitely a local and now tourists favorite burger joint!

First time we've been here, man have we been missing a jewel! You walk into the tiny hut to order your food and they bring it out to you in a brown paper bag. Everything is made from scratch & amazing, the buns are buttered and grilled. Fries are hand cut with skins on served in their own paper bag to catch the grease. It's a little dive that no one should miss.

We've been regulars at Fat Andy's, and love the burgers and fries. The problem is that you can't count on them to be open when they're supposed to be open. Twice, recently, they've closed early because they're slow. All businesses have slow spells... We won't bother going back. Very sad.

This place is great! The burgers are some of the best in the area. The owner just offered us some pizza. He is considering offering this for the summer. I told him I would offer honest feedback, but he wasn't coming to the door as I was heading out. So here it is: my little guy and i really enjoyed the pizza. It needs a little more sauce, and the seasonings need to be a little more consistent throughout. The crust was perfect, and it tasted great!! I look forward to this addition to the menu!

This place is the perfect hole in the wall; if we hadn't located it on Google maps we would have never found it. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. We visited off season around 2:00 and there was no line, but we were told that we had just missed the lunch rush which had a line down the street. Totally worth visiting for a late lunch (but not on a rainy day since all the seating is outdoor)!
