We visited while in town to see family, and we had a great experience with my parents and our two small kids. The food was delicious, the service was quick, and our server was very friendly!

Great food and environment. Most of the staff was incredibly friendly... however, the manager we had to speak with was incompetent. Two of us ordered pasta that came with a side salad. When we asked the waitress if we could substitute the salads for a different side and if there would be an up-charge she said no problem, so we both ordered different sides. Then when the check came, there were two $3 charges for the sides we'd gotten (side note... mine had been a scoop of plain mashed potatoes). We informed her of the charges and she informed us that there is indeed an up-charge. It's okay that she neglected to mention an up-charge to us earlier, however I confirmed with her that paying full price for the sides we had "substituted" was $3 each according to the menu. She then went and got a young manager. As much as we tried to explain nicely to the manager that paying full price for a side is neither an "up-charge" or "substitution", she would not listen. She repeated the phrase "It's our policy" over and over. Finally we just asked if we could get the side salads that would've come with our pasta to-go and she would not even do that. It was like pulling teeth until she finally said she'd take $1.50 off of the sides. She never apologized for the miscommunication or even remotely clarified the situation. The attitude she had toward us felt unprofessional and uncaring, not to mention it was completely uncalled for. I wish there was a way to just rate that certain manager 1 star, instead of the entire business. Apparently it is the business's policy though, and it really put a damper on our experience.

We have eaten here on 3 separate occasions, and each time we have been more and more impressed. Everything we have tried has been absolutely delicious, including the freshest side salad in town! The appetizers are highly recommended by us! The waitresses are always very friendly and attentive and we are always greeted with a smile as we walk through the doors. This is definitely a family oriented business, and this is very important to us. We love this place :)

We've ordered ahead at Famiglia twice now, and both times the service was terrible. The first time I went to pick up the food - ordered well in advance and set to be ready at 5pm - the staff had no idea where the order was. They eventually found it, but the food had obviously been made well ahead of the 5pm pickup time selected and was already frigid. There was no apology, no acknowledgement of an issue - just poorly plated cold food handed over at 5:15 rather than 5:00. The second time was on Valentine's Day, which is obviously an incredibly busy time; however, again the order was placed online several hours in advance for a 5pm pickup. The hostess brought the bill to the window - which I thought was odd given that it was paid for online (including a 20% tip) - and then walked away to get the food. When I opened it, it was the wrong bill (for someone whose first name sounds kind of like my last name), so when another girl brought the food to the window I told her that I wasn't sure it was the right order since the ticket I was given was incorrect (This happened to be the same girl from the first experience, so perhaps the crux of the issue lies in staffing...). She gave me an extremely rude look and told me that it was my order and listed off a few things. She then told me that she was going to go get our salads and asked about dressings. While she was gone the second time, I checked the bag and none of the sides were included with one order and an entire entree was missing. The first girl returned and brought me the correct receipt, and I told her that several items were missing along with the salads. Second girl returns as I'm talking to the first one and says "I TOLD YOU that I was going to get the rest of your order." I responded that actually, she'd said she was going to get salads and had not mentioned that half of the entire order was still missing. She then rolled her eyes and stuck the bags out of the window at me. The first girl asked if there was anything else they could do, and while girl #2 was still staring me down with what can only be described as stankface, I stated that an apology for the service was in order. Girl #2 just laughed and stared at me a bit more. I understand that Valentine's is a busy day for restaurants, so I can understand mix-ups. Treating your customers as if they are a burden or somehow bothering you, however, is entirely unacceptable. The food itself is fairly middle of the road - not terrible, not great - but poor customer service will tank a restaurant every time. The server with long blonde hair who wore braids on Valentine's Day needs a lesson in actual hospitality management, or she needs to no longer work there because she's a liability to the business itself.

Food and service was good, garlic knots and the mozzarella sticks were amazing! Pizza was awesome, the alfredo has a different taste compared to other alfredo dishes that some may like but one at my table did not like. Ask to taste the sauce first.

Waitstaff is great! Side salads were OK, but no homemade dressings and you could tell the lettuce and cut cumbers had been premade for a while. Meatballs were mediocre and the spaghetti with marinara was watery. Chicken marsala was poor... canned mushrooms and the chicken was non existent. Half of a thinly sliced chicken breast with no cheese. Eggplant parmesan was decent and recommended, but we think it was squash because the skin was yellow and not purple like eggplant. Crab mac and cheese is also recommended. Canned crab meat, but a good meal. Cheesecake is homemade and worth it!

First off, AmberLeigh was a good waitress. All the food had good flavor...BUT...the rib special... they looked huge but were mostly fat and bone. And the asparagus was too large and pithy. I will go back if invited but wouldn't order ribs. 6-14-2018: Blessed to have Amber-Leigh again. Food good. Company and atmosphere wonderful.

I had a chance to try some of their menu at the business expo in Greenville. Decided I would take my wife to dinner to let her try it. Famiglia is hands down the best Italian restaurant Greenville has. Not only was the food excellent but the waitress was amazing we never had to ask for anything, and she spoke with us like she had know us forever. We felt transported to Italy when we eat there. Today we had Shrimp and Lobster Ravioli , it was DIVINE and Meatball Hoagie ; the Hoagie was perfect; crusty outside and soft like a pillow inside. Everything taste wonderful !

For our first experience it was not the greatest. We had a group of 7 It started with the drinks, first drink was flat, asked for a second and it took 10 min to get and it was flat also asked for a tea and did not get it until my food came out, pizza was good but the food my mother ordered came out it was so spicy she couldn't eat it. It never indicates that it was slicy on menu. When we received our check they automatically added gratuity to it and the server did not deserve what they were asking. Paid bill over (100) 4 adults and 3 kids and will never go back.

This place has really close to authentic Italian food. They have a good vegetarian selection without compromising on quality. It is not like some places were the vegetarian option is just the normal version minus the animal stuff. They are dishes made without meat in mind.

My wife and I have been trying to discover new, local spots around Pitt County. We had a coupon book and had never heard of this place, so we decided to give it a shot! The wait staff was extremely kind and welcoming. You get free bread for starters before your meal, which was a little unexpected. We decided to try the ravioli appetizer and two pasta dishes, which was all amazing. This will definitely be a place we return to and will bring friends next time!

For the first time visit, it was not good! The spring salad was greens that I had never seen before, maybe chard,etc.. They were awful! Neither the waitress or the manager could tell me what they were except to say:. they were mixed greens! To top it all off... I got the Fettuccini Alfredo and paid $5 more to get chicken added and the chicken was nothing more than boiled chicken cut into small pieces that was chewy and had no taste at all. The manager said the chicken was grilled. I looked at her and told her to look at the chicken. It was not grilled. She offered another dish for me. I told her no thanks and i wanted the $5 taken off my bill. They did. I don't usually complain about things like this, but it was warrented. Don't recommend!!!!!

I have heard so many great things so i decided to try it. The food looked good being served up inside staff was nice and polite. I got a chicken parm with potato croquettes. The bread was burnt around the edges and that was fine with me but my chicken was rubbery. The potatoe croquettes were worth going back for although a little different than what i was use too. I will try them again. I just will not get chicken.

We have heard good things about this place so we called and got takeout. We got a large pepperoni pizza and 12 Buffalo wings. The pizza was good but the crust was very tough and quite chewy, and the wings left a lot to be desired. They were extrememly dry and had absolutely no taste. I was not impressed with this place at all and do not feel like it was worth the money. Needless to say it was my first visit and it will be my last!

Disappointing. This place has an opportunity to be something special but misses the mark. Whether dine in or takeout my expectations are never met. $52 (including tip) for 2 pasta dinners, mozzarella wedges, and 2 beverages is a bit much, especially for an Italian restaurant to not serve bread with the pasta... Neither the tomato sauce nor the alfredo have an authentic taste. Have yet to have anything there authentically Italian. I know the difference being that grandparents were Italian immigrants. Service is good, but food quality for price does not jive.

I was at the restaurant last night with a unique view of the entire dining area. I watched and observed an incredible spirit. Couples to families to parties, everyone was happy. Staff providing genuine customer service, smiling along the way in the midst of their hustle. They were enjoying the atmosphere, too. They were a part of it. Great new Italian spot for Greenville. It's a little out of the way for lost of the city, but that's fine with me cause it keeps traffic down. From what I heard the head chef is one of the former owners of one of the Michelangelo's pizza shops in town. I had eggplant parmesan and it was tasty and the pizzay mom got looked awesome. Would recommend.

The service and food are outstanding. The owners are great people, and always have friendly staff. Try the sausage with your spaghetti, and the bannana pudding is the best! Everything is home made; they easily have the best marinara sauce I've ever had. We love this place!

Cons: The lettuce for the salad that came with the meal came on a plate instead of a bowl which I found made it difficult to eat. Also the lettuce for the salad left much to be desired. I thought it was really pricey. The portion size was good but I didn't find the taste of the meal to really justify the cost. It wasn't anything unique The thing they served the garlic knots in kept tipping over because of the way it is made. That was kind of frustrating. Pros: The service was amazing. This will be the reason I return. The menu had a good choice of options. The food tasted really good. They served bread with the meal and it was garlic knots, which is my favorite. Overall, it was okay. I will more than likely return because the service was so good and I find this to be very important for me. If they could fix the salad it would be great.

My boyfriend and I visited this restaurant for date night. We both ordered "build your own pasta". The food was good, but not incredible. The white sauce was a tad too garlicy for my boyfriend's taste. It was a lot thinner than the sauces I typically prefer. We also ordered tuxedo cake for dessert, which we both agreed was delicious and the best part of our meal. The staff was nice, but due to the food, neither of us are in a rush to come back.

Ordered 8 pizzas two days in a row for a lunch Bible study. Not only was the food great, the servant hearts of the staff were outstanding. "Can I help you carry them to the car?", "Can I get the door for you?", "Can I help you open the car door and load then in?"... this was not just the one time but both times I came in. I'll be back for a dinner date with my wife very soon. Awesome.

Locally owned Italian. They have a very good brushchetta starter but they serve garlic knots after they take your order so the brushchetta is a little too much bread (we discovered inadvertently). I like eggplant parmigiana and the time I ordered it it was very good. Their house red is also good. They have drink specials various days of the week and some good area micro-brewery beers on tap. Look at their web site for details.

Our first visit we were totally blown away, the sauce was awesome, and me being first generation Italian am a stickler when it comes to Italian food. We can say from the bottom of my heart, Famiglia gives grandma and mama a run for the money. We met one of the owners the same night and he sent me home with a slice of his carrot cake to have with my morning coffee, I am hooked. We've been in several times since and I am impressed every time. I'll be looking for some Tiramisu for my birthday.

First time here on a Saturday night. They were busy but service was quick. Orders were taken within 5 minutes of being seated and salads and main course came when expected. My wife and I both enjoyed our salads, pasta and dessert. They make their dressings in house and my wife, who normally doesn't eat salad, nearly finished it because the blue cheese dressing was so good. We had the make your own pasta. I had ziti with pink marinara and italian sausage. She had farfalle with shrimp and alfredo. Both were tasty and satisfying. The cheesecake was also made in house and was excellent. The Famiglia Fire Cider was a great cocktail to enjoy with dinner. We will be back again.

I had brushetta and lasagna. The brushetta was a little different...the toast wasn't as crispy as I'm used to yet it was still good. The lasagna was great. It was authentic Italian. My lunch partner had the veal parmesan and said it was delicious, although it wasn't cooked the way she was familiar with...it was a large piece of battered veal on top of a plate of spaghetti and sauce. Altogether, I'd give our meals a 4.5 out of a 5. We are definitely going back!

Little bit of Italy right here in Greenville. The Seafood Fa Diablo is really good. Menu is limited but has all the favorites and a build your own pasta dish with a variety of sauces, proteins and pasta types to choose from. Don't expect complex dishes here. No soups are served in the summer. The service was fast and courteous.

Lasagna was very poor. Sauce didn't have any flavor. I had to put oregano and garlic powder in the sauce, so that i could eat it. The Garlic knots bread was not done on the inside and it was burnt on the outside. I don't recommend that bread.

We stumbled upon this restaurant, and can't wait to go back. We really liked the idea of a family meal option that they have (one price, one big bowl of whatever you choose). It was enough for 5 adults. The mozzarella sticks are homemade and delicious, and the garlic knots were never ending that night! The owner came over and spoke with us, we thought that was very nice. Go try it!

Outstanding family run restaurant! We called several hours ahead for our large soccer group (45). They did an amazing job of accommodating us. Tonight was my second time eating here but my husband first. My husband hates when I want to go out for Italian hes not a big fan but he absolutely loved it here. The food was fresh and homemade. Very delicious. We highly recommend the pizza and banana pudding. My husband is a huge fan of banana pudding so trying it homemade he fell in love. Wish we could have left a bigger tip because the service was fantastic. If your looking for a good Italian restaurant I recommend going here not o li I've garden lol.

It is a lovely place with a nice menu. However I received terrible service tonight. Even though the restaurant was sparsely occupied, we were offered a poor table and upon request offered one only slightly better. My friend's knife was removed with the salad plate and not replaced. His pizza was not sliced well so we shared my knife while waiting for a long time for one to be provided. I requested that my dinner be prepared to go and would have provided a nice lunch, however it was never returned. My after dinner coffee was cold. The food was actually quite good, but appreciate good service as part of a meal so may not be quick to return.

Our brunch was two big pancakes, 2 big pieces of perfectly cooked bacon and a fritatta each, only 20 for two people. We could not even finish it, it was so much. The food is inexpensively priced so it leaves room for a big tip, which you will definitely want to leave because the waitresses are so friendly and helpful. Our waitress heather was fantastic.

This was my first run with Famiglia, and it was a pizza run! Ordered through Chownow website, and was ready in about 20 minutes, sweet and spicy and a Hawaiian pizza. Both were absolutely awesome! Great crust and topping selection. New York style and decently priced. We will definitely be back!

Delicious!!!! Minus 1 star because we were shorted a side salad in our to-go order and Alfredo sauce was a little bland although super rich and creamy (plus!!). After adding garlic salt, our shrimp fettuccine Alfredo was perfect and the chicken marsala was spot on!!!! Order the asparagus.....it is divine!! Looking forward to dining again and this time inside to taste the complimentary garlic knots!!!! Great customer service and very nice vibe.

Great Italian food. Great service! A little pricey. Staff are very nice a friendly. Only real con I have is side salad is a way to small 3 bits it's gone. The plate it comes on is so tiny too. Other than that I highly recommend trying it out! What a wonderful dining experience! From the hostess who greeted us, our waitress who had to clean up our spilt glass of wine, to the manager that came to our table. In addition, our dinner was exceptional. We had the appetizer sampler, ceasar salads and the tortellini Florentine that was the dinner special! This restaurant is First Class and we will be coming bac,k!
