Great family friendly local restaurant. Despite a full house, wait staff and hostesses remain patient and hospitable. Food is standard American fare with turkey burgers a specialty.. I appreciate fried okra on the menu. Restaurant tries to source local to the extent possible.

Great food and great prices. Staff very friendly. Portions are big. Biscuits are huge. I had trouble eating all of it but I managed :) Can't believe I have lived in Angier for almost 3 years and have never ate at Ed's. I was missing out.

Great lunch. We tried breakfast once and wasn't impressed however it was almost time to start serving lunch. Tried lunch today and it was very good. Staff very friendly, nice price point and place was packed. Dinner is very good especially seafood. On Friday and Saturday evenings between 530-830 pm place is packed and you will have wait times up to 20-30 minutes

This is my third visit and I can say the food has been very good each time. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The menu is not really long but there is still a good selection. The pricing is very reasonable.

It's a country style restaurant. I've only had breakfast there. The grill is obviously set up a little bit higher than usual. I'm sure that saves a little time but the eggs etc do tend to be slightly crispy on the outside, but the food is at least a good average or better. I'll go back.

I'd probably actuslly rate this 3 1/2 stars, but will give them 4. The service was excellent!! I had the hamburger steak, and felt like it was lacking real flavor. Others in my party also stated that the food was ok. I did enjoy the laid back atmosphere, and I'd say the place had a nice cozy feel to it. I would visit this restaurant again, but probably pick something else off the menu. We parked across the street, but noticed later that they had a parking lot.

I woke up early and couldn't sleep,i just drove 800 miles the night before.so i wanted to go for breakfast and they open at 5am.It seems you can never get there before they do,they called the angier police and two of there worst came.They asked me the most stupid questions i have ever heard of.They where trying to push me around because im a senior citizens.They wanted to know why did i choose this place,what was i doing.plain idiots.going to file a complaint against both of them.the food isnt good.i would rather pritext myself then this

My son and his family love going to this place and talked me into it so I went. The breakfast was amazing with all of their choices and the staff that kept refilling my coffee cup before it was halfway empty. Great food and super helpful staff make this my new go-to location for breakfast in Angier.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Ed's Family Restaurant! The food was delicious. Even our picky 7 year old thought the food was great. We also had an extremely friendly and efficient waitress who kept our glasses full and made sure we were taken care of. The atmosphere was nice and the restaurant was clean. Good food, good service and good atmosphere is a winning combination in food service and Ed's definitely has it!

Prices are good, they are FAST with the food, but the food wasn't great. Pancakes aren't fluffy. They only have plain pancakes. I ordered scrambles eggs and they came out runny and the sausage patties, I thought came on the side, were chopped up and cooked in with the runny eggs? This wasn't mentioned on the menu. The hashbrown casserole wasn't cooked fully. The potatoes were alittle raw still. Other than that, its a nice place with good people and staff. This was my first time here so maybe it was an off day?

Great home cooking, great family friendly staff. There lunch menu is available the few evenings they are open, which is a great option. Parking available on and off street. One of our favorite places to eat, generally don’t have to wait on a table except maybe during a peak meal time.

I had a taste for some gravy covered pork chops and rice, it's was before dinner time but was able to mashed potatoes even better with some potato salad and homemade lemonade it was a awesome lunch with my oldest son Brandon thank you Father God for the wonderful blessing day and your son Jesus name amen also Father God blessed Mister Ed his family and his wonderful staff down at Ed's family restaurant and angier North Carolina thank you guys and you guys keep up the great work God bless you all always mr. We had only eaten in Angier at Brick & Mortar which is good when it's open. It's not often open which, at 1pm on a Saturday, led us fortuitously to Ed's. We found ample seating, friendly service, and great food at a great price including options for kids. My burger was handmade and delicious. Fries, etc are pretty standard. Clean and well lit, and pretty standard hours. My new first choice for a good meal in Angier.

Friendliest staff in North Carolina. Great service and the food is cooked to order. Very reasonable pricing. I recommend the pancakes or the biscuits and gravy for breakfast. Prepare to wait on the weekends, Ed's is very popular. If you like being treated like family, Ed's is the place to go.
