Hands down the best wings I’ve eaten since moving to Charlotte. Everything I’ve tried at the Chicken Shak was delicious. This place is well worth a visit. Plus there is some Steeler memorabilia on the wall. That makes this place 6 stars but I can only give 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

First time eating here, didn't know what we were missing. I had a chicken Philly, it was delicious, Rick had a fried chicken salad, also delicious and big!!! Katie was our waitress, very sweet and an excellent waitress. We will definitely go back or will get food to go.

We are not able to eat there as often as we would like, but the food is GREAT and the staff is awesome. Stop in for lunch or dinner you will not be disappointed. Obviously the wings are wonderful. However, you will not find better fried green tomatoes anywhere.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!! I never had a problem with this place until tonight. I always get a Clemson Sunrise with rum instead of vodka. Tonight, I let the waitress know something was not right with my drink, it tasted as if it had vodka in it. Vodka burns going down when I drink it. Rum does not. I made my complaint and the waitress, who I might add said she was the manager, said and I quote "I watched her make it, nothing's wrong with it". She never once offered to get me another drink of any kind as she walked away. I had to wait more than 5 minutes to ask for a sweet tea as I couldn't drink my Clemson Sunrise. The waitress had the nerve to go complain to the bartender in front of myself and the others with me. If you want good food and good service, don't bother coming here!!! You will get better service from McDonald's!! And to make the visit EVEN BETTER, the waitress/manager added her own tip to our bills! Now mind you, the 6 of us have been here several times together with no problems and never had our tip added to our bills!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!

My nephew introduced me to this place when I came to visit from New York City, I fell in love With their wings!!! My favorite was the ming wings, The waiter suggested them to us and when we got them I was like oh no!!!! Because they look like charcoal but you can't judge a book by its cover because they were delish!!! I can't wait to visit Rock Hill again, which is my home town!!! If we had a place like that in Brooklyn I think, ppl would go crazy for them as well!!!!

I have a love/hate relationship with this place. The food is excellent--hands down, the best wing place in Rock Hill. However, the service is AWFUL. First, they charge you a fee if it's takeout, then they put up a rude sign demanding that takeout orders be consumed off premises. And make sure to check your order before you leave because it is rarely all there. I guess they figure if they serve great food, people will keep coming back no matter how they are treated. Saying customer appreciation isn't their thing would be an understatement.

Every since the waiters/ some cooks have changed the service has not been the same. Ive been dining there for over 13 years and i can't recall the last time i had poor service. The food is awesome...best wings and sauce choices around...always order my wings"EFC"...extra freakin crispy and they are perfect every time! Fried mushrooms and onion rings are fresh... not frozen..double dipped onion rings are soooo good and crispy! Good old fashioned hamburgers any way you want them! Don't let the way this place looks deter you from trying out all their delicious menu items....there is nothing special or fancy about the appearance inside or out!! The quality of the food makes up for the lack of ambiance. Depending on the day service is sometimes lacking...but hey....you can always do "take out"....if you've never been to The Shak you really need to give em a try....you'll love it!! Lots of variety on their menu....something for everyone....I love it!!

The service was great and the food was great! My only complaint was the large family behind me that complained about everything from their drinks to their checks. They attacked the waitress accusing her of fraud stating she was stealing from them because gratuity was included on their checks... almost every restaurant includes gratuity for parties of 6 or larger. They were nasty mouthed the entire time and should not be allowed back on premises, especially after they tried to steal by not paying the gratuity....

Awesome customer service by the Manager Billy, Marcus, and Jackee!! The manager credited the free Veterans Day meal to me and my girlfriend a day after the Veterans meal was advertised! On top of that, the Manger Billy decided to let us do the 70cent wing deal today and gave us $15 gift cards to come back and get our veterans meal another day at our convenience. This place is the BOMB, and so are the WINGS!

We had 3 people in our group and after placing our order 2 more groups came in and one of the other groups had about 6 people and the next ones were a party of 4. Now keep in mind we had already placed our order, yet both of the others that came in after us got their orders before us. Our waitress saw we weren't happy about it and said our order was coming right up... We waited a few more minutes and finally we got our food. I ask for no seasoning on my fries but I got it anyway... What has happened with the old Shak?

Great bar atmosphere...reasonable beer prices PBR only $1,00. I go for the wings but I have seen other customers order sandwiches and appetizers and the portions size is generous. Wed. Is a great day 10 wings and a basket of fries for about $8 because it is the featured meal that day.

the food is great the fried green tomatoes baked potato i got the veggie and added grilled chicken best wings ever. food is always fresh and hot also had the fish sandwich which was delicious. the wait staff is friendly but slow no organization. and i hate when they blame the kitchen. if you forgot you forget just apologize and fix it. but i would recommend and have to many people.

Foods ok, if and when your order is correct. If you order for your office, you must pickup and no payments over phone. If order is incorrect you have to bring that food back on order to get "replaced". Was told "you.can keep the sandwich for later and we will remake it for you at a later date WHEN YOU BRING IT BACK". Oh well. Again the foods decent but not worth the hassle. Bottom line, owners policies may be based on getting burned by bad people in the past but they currently the policies equate to "eat the wrong food and stop.complaining".

Second visit, and again a homerun! Chicken Shak is a divey sports bar that has really excellent food. Had wings first visit, best I have had in a long while, worth a go for wings alone. Had the grilled chicken fingers salad yesterday , with Hot sauce and Bleu cheese dressing, very nice salad, and delicious as well. Had fried green tomatoes too, they were very good. Appetizers are less on Sunday's, I was ordering just the half appetizer (3 FGT), Dakota suggested for 50 cents more getting a full, so I did, and recieved 7. The wait staff are all excellent, and work together as a whole, while still treating you with special attention. Prices are very good, and specials are generous. Thank you to all the Chicken Shak staff for a great visit, and of course, great food. See you soon.

Look, appearances are deceiving. This little hole in the wall has some of the best food in town. If I ever move away, this is a place I will miss sincerely. The bar has a nice selection of mixed drinks, there's always something good on tap. The staff are all really nice, and the atmosphere feels like your dad's sports bar. But seriously, go for the food, and you'll keep coming back for it.

They are liers falsely advertising the prices on there online menu. It shows $13.00 for 15 chicken wings but when you get there thwy charged $15 and some change for 15 wings. When I questioned the staff they just said they have no control over the website. The manger also told me she did not know why the prices were different and did nothing but give me a generic email. False advertising is illegal and they dont care.

The staff here is awesome. I hate calling them staff cause they are really more like family. Like tonight when we walked in Marcus gave us a big smile asking how we'd been doing and Katie is always the sweetest. You know they remember you when they see you and it makes it a very welcoming environment. We have been there before and asked if they could change one of the tv's to a different game that was playing at the time and they happily did it. The food is really good too. We usually go about once a week. My daughter always gets the traditional wings and their bleu cheese dressing is homemade and its the best in town. I could go on and on about how great this place is. It's our home away from home.

My first experience with this restaurant not a good one. I ordered some wings this weekend (it was about to start storming). I ordered 10 pieces of wings and a side of fries which came out to about 15 bucks. One flavor was supposed to be buffalo hot wings, the other was honey bbq! They did not have the hot wings (it was mustard yellow sauce that was disgusting). I called the restaurant back spoke with a young man and told him I received the wrong order of wings. He asked "do you want to come back to get them?" I told him it's storming outside and I live on the other side of town. HIS EXACT WORDS WERE "Ok, i'm going to write your name down, come back within a week and we can remake those with you. " I thanked him and threw the wings way along with the bag! Called back today I was told "SORRY YOU HAVE TO BRING THE WINGS THAT WERE INCORRECT BACK!!!" WTH!!!! Who keeps wings the are not going to in their home for a week. I was not told I needed to keep the wings! I didn't ask for a refund all I wanted was some hot wings! Chicken Shak must do better. I usually don't post reviews it I could find any info online about this restaurant chain. Definitely won't return unless i'm getting my gosh darn hot wings!

Food is excellent but calling in an order is impossible frequently. Out of our last 5 call-ins, 3 orders weren't correct. Half-orders for apps (onion rings, fried pickle spears) are low-volume and way more expensive than they should be for what you get ($3.25 for a half order of onion rings and, no kidding, we got 7 onion rings and 2 were tiny). Wings and fingers are top-notch, though, so that saved the 4* rating.

Usually my favorite for wings but a little too far away for me to drive. The boneless hot wings were good, baked potato was lacking, was all cut up so it got cold quick. Tasted like it had been cooked early but was ok. The Bosa bread was deep fried, crispy, and always good.(don't know correct spelling for the bread) The place was not real busy, but service was a little slow. Prices ok.

This place is awsome. The service was fast, attentive and friendly. Our server took the time to pull up a chair and explain all the different wing sauces. Yes, they needed explaining they had most of what you are accustom to but had a variety of unique new and refreshing options. The atmosphere is casual sport pub and diner. The menu is large for a pub so there is something for everyone it's not just wings. T.V. screens everywhere so there are no bad seats. This is a well thought out cozy place to watch a game and unwind. I imagine the owner will need a larger location soon to accommodate larger crowds once people figure out how good the food is.
