Food is great. Im vegan and i enjoyed the black bean burger. Has a char to it which I don't care for but its good. Family friendly. Clean environment. I like the area in the front to wash your hands. Staff is friendly and tentative.

Everything here is amazing: the environment is cool and clean, staff is very friendly, hand wash station so you don't need to go to the restroom and the most important part... The food! I need to try out different burgers but I keep on coming back for the OMG Burger with added fried egg and a delicious milkshake (vanilla or strawberry)... Burger is made to the perfect point, juicy and full of flavor. A side order for fries is good for 2 people. They have plenty of different sauces/dippings available too. I'm glad to always come back here. No regrets.

Great shake! I got the chocolate hazelnut shake, which I figure was soft serve with Nutella in. The Nutella only partially mixed in, but there fudgy chunks in the thick shake made for a great texture. A medium small portion of shake, but it was very rich so the portion was perfect. The whipped cream and chocolate sauce tasted quite flavorful, it's good to not mess up on the details. The booth seats weren't very comfortable. The decor wasn't great, I respect the clean attitude but it's not pleasant to be met with a sink and soap first thing walking in the door. The decorations were so impersonal, and in kinda bad shape. If you are going to have a sterile, food themed poster, at least don't have it shriveled in it's frame. The burger was OK, not outstanding, and it came with mayo which I'm pretty sure was not listed with the rest of the ingredients. That was extremely disappointing. The fries were pretty good, got a sharing portion and it was more than enough for 3. The selection of dips was novel.

Burgers were meh..ordered fries and onion rings and we could taste the used/old oil they were fried in. Either the oil was not hot enough or the oil was really old. Either way they tasted awful. Not coming back.

If you enjoy burnt burgers, this is a great place to go. Food is overpriced for quality and quantity of food. Family got sliders, a burger, kids burger and kids toasted cheese. Sliders came out black, grilled cheese was very dark on top and the regular burgers were ok. Fries are also ok. Overall not worth the money and won’t be coming back.

BEST. BURGER. EVER. This was (me and my friend's) first time at Burger 21 and I was impressed with the entire experience. The woman taking our order was super friendly and helpful. She helped us explore our way through the menu and made recommendations based on her favorite menu items. Then when the food came it was delicious! The burger was very flavorful and juicy, the french fries were perfectly crispy, and the milkshake was also delicious! We just left an hour ago and are already talking about our next trip back!

The cashier asked if I wanted fries and a drink with my burger. I asked how much extra it would cost and she said it would actually be cheaper??? It wasn't and I'm a little annoyed. Maybe she meant it would be cheaper than buying them separately. The burger was good though.

They messed up my wife’s veggie burger and managed to bring it out incorrectly the second time as well. Small patties and cheap McDonalds like fries. Many, many better burger options in the area. Slow service to top it off. Definitely one and done for us.

I called at 7:15 for a simple chicken tender basket. Got their about 7:25. Waited 20 minutes, told one girl I was waiting for a pick up order. It is 745 at this point so I asked for a manager and I said that it’s ridiculous I called an order at 715 and it’s still not ready. She went to the back and came back and said there was a miscommunication bc the person that took my order did not tell them about my order or that I was there & they are dropping the fries now and the tenders are ready. (There was never an apology or even any concern for this issued) I then proceeded to say that this is ridiculous and I need a refund and I own multiple restaurants in the area and this customer service is not ok. She proceeded to give me my refund but started laughing at the register. I told her I don’t know what is so funny of this situation bc this is my time being wasted. She said “i didn’t know I couldn’t laugh bc this is funny” I said I will speak to the owner. She laughed some more. I asked for her name and she said “ shaylyn, they call me Shay.” She must’ve thought I was some little girl but she will hear about me again from the owner. My food was even cold.

Large selection of burgers on the menu with a variety of sides and beverages. Burgers are good sized and can be ordered bloody rare. Restaurant is a bit spartan with no TVs, music or any recognizable theme, but is spacious. Friendly staff and good service. Ask about the specials because they are not on the menu. Had a Cobb salad that was OK, but I was not impressed with the brown avocado slices.

This is almost a five star fast burger place. The burger was juicy, the toppings were fresh and the portion of fries was very generous! Last time, we came for the Impossible burger which was delicious, this time we got regular burgers which were also delicious. We came on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't busy but most of the empty tables were dirty and there were plenty of employees standing around. Otherwise, great. And, love the handwashing station.

If you dont wanna pay for a burger 21 burger than go make your own. They have a great atmosphere and staff. I will be back very soon. Been craving them everyday since and I'm not a burger person at all. I didn't even have to put ketchup on it :)

Terribly overpriced!!! 3 burgers, 2 fries & 3 drinks + 15% tip = $40. The burgers were good but nothing special. They are about the size of McDonald's. The fries are good at 1st but the cool & turn gross quickly. You go to the counter to order & you pay upfront & they ask for a tip right there. You fix your own drink, get your own refills and condiments. They bring you your food but that's it. Hardly warrants a tip. There are many places around with much better value & better food.

Take forever to make a milkshake and then make it wrong. My 3 year old isnt picky and was very patient and they took forever to bring is a trash milkshake. I've been here a few times in as many years and I have no idea why this place is still in business. It's overpriced, it's slow, and it's not even good. Go to tribeca if you want a decent burger.

Probably one of the best places to get a burger I'm the Cary area. My only complaint would be that they don't let the burger patty rest a minute after taking it off the grill, so your bun/bread gets soaked with grease/blood. Other than that, they always cook the burger perfectly, and their patty melt is the best I've tried in the area. I'm pretty picky about my patty melts. They also have several dipping sauces to choose from for your fries, or to put on your burger. I hear the milkshakes are really good, but I am yet to try one. I'm usually too stuffed from the burger and fries.

The first time I tried this place, I ordered well done and the burger was literally bloody. I gave it another chance after about 6 months and got another raw burger with blood and grease flowing out. Unfortunately won’t eat here again.

It's the kind of place where you place your order, you receive a number to place on your table, and your meal is brought out to you. The place still looks fresh and new. Nothing to special about this place. The burger I ordered was cooked correctly and the shoestring fries are good. Burger was around $8 and not a good value in my opinion. All the different sauces for the fries are a cool idea. All in all decent experience but nothing stands out so we probably won't return without some kind of monetary incentive.

We have really enjoyed the atmosphere and food here in the past, but the last 2 times we have visited our burgers have been way under cooked - as in pink and cold. After the first time it happened, we didn't think much of it, but when it happened again, we figured we'd start going elsewhere. Kind of sad as I enjoy the fries, dips, and atmosphere but it's not worth getting food poisoning.

I absolutely love this lunch time spot! Conveniently located in the same plaza as the Publix in Cary... I like their half and half fries, their chicken fingers and of course, their turkey burger! (The turkey burger can be on a lettuce bun or whole wheat bun) they do serve shakes and beer, too! Pretty good prices. I have NEVER been disappointed with the quality of their food. Awesome staff and manager as well!

Frankly, I don't really like the burgers here that much. They are good, but there are better options. Their fries and their dipping sauces on the other hand are amazing! Some of my friends live nearby and we go every time I visit and I've started to only order fries. It might sound bad to say "I only order fries" but the real reason I only order fries is so I don't fill up on anything else. Try all of the sauces at least once.

Fresh burgers. it’s priced right. For a little premium burger place, this is definitely better than places like Red Robin. The kids liked the taste and they have coupons on their site and some come in mail too. On a fall evening, the music and staff made my evening. Definitely I will visit again.

Amazing! My office got a big order delivered for a meeting the other day and it was sooooo good. The black bean burgers were my favorite. Full of flavor and tasty! They brought all the condiments and drinks and it was just all very good. Keep up the good work!

The food is delicious and the staff are polite and friendly. Tons of burger options and dipping sauces. The menu isn't clear when it comes to chicken and Turkey options. I ordered a Turkey burger thinking it was going to be a grilled patty, they had mixed the ground Turkey with other seasonings and covered it in crumbs of some sort. It tasted like a crab cake. That was disappointing, but they were happy to replace it for me.

The server handled 2 of the 3 sliders in front of us before giving us our food. The s'hroom burger was ordered without cheese because of an allergies but the remaining traces of cheese was visible. Still need to improve the details.

Over rated, over priced, overly stale food, unbelievable arrogance that they warrant a tip before being served. I wish I had not tipped before eating. What a colossal disappointment this place is. Dirty, and filthy area, along with very young servers who don’t know which side is up! Always go with the hope they will get better to give them another chance. Gosh no! They never get better, have let me down consistently. Oh, forgot, they promise so many things on the menu, but the most important ones are missing from it. Look up black bean burger and see if they ever serve all the ingredients they claim. The black bean burger was burnt to death, the onions and tomatoes were so stale, it was sad to see how they were cheating people out with their lies about fresh food??

It has an energetic atmosphere and really tasty food. Love the TexMex Haystack. It has about a dozen sauces to choose from for the fries and a great drink selection. It's a little expensive, but I think you get what you pay for.

It is sit down restaurant quality while still have a fast food feel. The burgers were fantastic though a little pricey. The shareable fries were very yummy and you get a huge portion. Also fun they have the soda machine where you can pick whatever you want to drink and add any flavors you want.

Gluten free menus is fantastic! The North Raleigh location has a slightly better ranch dressing (a little less thick), but both are excellent. Cary location has Superior customer service.

Decent burger spot with different varieties of burgers. I chose the shrimp burger and while it was ok, I expected more seasoning. They also have a variety of shakes and drinks at a very reasonable price point. The food came out quickly and the staff was attentive and friendly. Five stars for my ability to order a dairy-free burger and their dedicated gluten-free fryer. Three stars for ambiance, since it kind of reminds me the Steak and Shakes of my childhood. Three and a half stars for the burgers that are tasty but not amazing. I like the handwashing station. They also have a milkshake bar, but I have never tried it.
