The starting service was really good but when it came to the 'lunch special pricing' and 'dinner menu pricing' , we were not informed that we would be charged the dinner menu price for a particular order, although we ordered from the lunch special!! And what was the reason for this?? Apparently we pointed at the same food item in the dinner menu section (as that was the only section that had the pictures of all the food items) and we were 1st timers, so we wanted to see what the food looked like while asking the server Sidney for recommendations. So even though we went there during "lunch time" and ordered from the lunch special we get charged the dinner pricing ONLY because we pointed at the picture of that food item from a dinner menu (P.S. it was just ONE menu!!!!) And when we told the sever about this, all she says is, 'Oh, I'm so sorry about this but when you ordered you pointed the item from the dinner menu!!! And there was no difference!!! Never going to this place again! Such thieves who just wanted to make money!!!

BonChon is on on my Top 10 favorite restaurants for sure. Wonderful service, wholesome atmosphere and great food. The fried chicken is truly authentic in its Korean style. Perfect place for the family or a small get together/party. If the party is big though, it would be smarter to pick up the food as the seating area is pretty small.

The service is a 3 but the food is a soaring 5! Everything on the menu will exceed your expectations. The soy garlic wings are better than the spicy ones in my opinion. But their fries are the best in the world!!! I am a fry fanatic but never did I love fries as much as I did for theirs! It’s kinda weird that the best fry place is in a Korean restaurant but that’s because they use the same batter that they use for the wings on fries so they are sooooo crispy

This place has some damn good chicken strips. I've had a handful of entrees from here and they have all been pretty good as well. Service has been fine (better off of 51 than at Park Rd in my opinion). My only complaint is the unnecessarily authoritarian sauce policy of not bringing you extra sauce for the chicken if you request it. If you ask them to make it saucier they will though, so there's that. But I mean it's really good sauce. Sell it. Give me a little extra to dip my chicken in. Charge me something reasonable for it, just don't deny me the delicious satisfaction. First world problems, right?

Very pleased fast friendly service, very clean but of course it just recently opened. I ordered the spicy tacos huge portion, very very good!! Just enough spice and heat without it being to overwhelming. Definitely will be visiting again. Highly recommend!!!

I ordered the chicken wings with a side of slaw to go. The picture below is of the side of slaw I received. While their chicken is top notch, their sides are sub par. They drastically need to improve on presentation. Their Korean tacos with bulgogi are great as well.

The chicken is very nicely done. It is double fried to be extra crispy and tastes great. I prefer the spicy to the garlic in overall flavor. The double frying process takes a little longer, so be prepared to wait a little.

I have tried Bon Chon twice. I have had the traditional bone in wings, hot and garlic soy. I also tried the boneless wings last time. Both meals were great. The menu seems to have expanded since my first time. I am not a spicy food chaser but I was pleasantly surprised by the hot wings, delicious. I wish I lived closer by.

Best chicken in Charlotte!!! We were given samples right after we sat down (a plate of 4 chicken tenders) Spicy and Soy Garlic.....Delicious!!!! For appetizer I ordered their Salmon Avocado ball.....the best Asian appetizer I have ever eaten,.....will order this dish each time I go. Have found a place to dine that I am actually very excited about eating at again and again,.....etc.

Amazing customer service, everyone who saw me greeted me and chatted! They told me about their new bubble tea bar they’re installing! Food was ready quickly, it was hot and delicious. I know it's not a traditional Korean restaurant, but I was disappointed to learn that they don't complement sides (a Fav about KR's). The chicken wings were delicious BUT their main entrees weren't so great. The starters were priced too high. Service could have been better, but I do have to commend the floor manager for trying to fix our order.

First of all, let me just say that the food from Bonchon is AMAZING but if you're looking for good service go to the other location at ParkTowne Village. We got to the Pineville location and were seated immediately but was left hanging for a good 5 minutes before my friends and I just stood up and left. It was ridiculous. The servers were just looking at us and didn't even ask us what drink we wanted. We told the lady in front that no one was taking our orders and she said "Bye," Really? Again, great food just go to a better location.

This is my first time here and I ordered the Bull Dak. It says Spicy and has 2 flames but it should have 4 flames. The flavors on it were excellent but it is extremely spicy. If you are someone who does not like spicy food please do not order this as it is hard to enjoy your food when your tongue is on fire. I like trying new things and I have a high tolerance for pain and I do enjoy spicy food but this was beyond that. I couldn't even eat all of it and contemplated if I wanted a Togo box. You would think I would give a lower star rating but I don't blame the staff for the menu not being accurate. The waitress did ask if I wanted it made as is and I said yes. In the future they should tell people that it comes really spicy. The decor and ambiance is great here as well. Next time I come I will try the fried chicken.

As a Dasher: Terrible merchant! Arrived to pick-up around 6:55pm with an estimated pick up time of 7:02pm. Front staff was friendly and patient; however, kitchen staff is either understaffed or overwhelmed with orders from multiple venues. This restaurant works with DoorDash, Grubhub, and another third-party delivery service! The problem is that is you can't fix a staffing issue, DO NOT become a merchant to all! You will not be able to keep up with demand! I walked out of your restaurant at 7:46pm! Either prioritize as orders come in, or let that contract go!

I live close by to this restaurant and absolutely regret putting off trying it since they opened. THIS PLACE IS DELISH!!! The chicken is so good! I haven't had anything that wasn't good here. Told my coworkers about it and we went back 4 times in two weeks. You won't regret it.

Visited last night with a friend. We were greeted by a lady and brought to the high table. My friend visited the restroom and as I sat down a young man showed up at the table immediately asking if he can get my order. I said I'm waiting for my friend and the waiter looked to the restroom and asked "Is that your man?". Number one faux pas. We said we needed some time to look at the menu. He came back after 3 minutes to take our order. We felt rushed. Second, we tried to order one soup to split it and he said they couldn't (or wouldn't) do that due to the franchise law (okay?!). We received our order fairly quickly. The young waiter gave my friend his dish with the words "Here you go, playboy!". He left and we couldn't believe he just uttered those words. It's as if we didn't hear right, but we did! He called my friend a "playboy". Completely unprofessional and appalling. We were there maybe 20 minutes eating and as my friend finished up the soup, the waiter came back to ask if we needed anything, to which we said, no and he just stood there and was rather pushy to ask if we wanted our check. Ummm, we were still eating! (he must've had to be somewhere important to want to close out our tab...). As I looked around, I noticed that the floor was completely filthy, with food particles and drippings everywhere. It looked as if if hadn't been cleaned since they opened. We left and both agreed that we wouldn't return because for the money you pay, the food is below mediocre at best and the service embarrassingly bad.

The soy garlic sauce is my jam! I highly suggest the dumplings in the soy garlic sauce. Of course, the fried chicken is delicious, but they have much more to offer. The bibimbap is good if you are looking for something traditional or the bulgogi tacos are amazing if you are looking for more a fusion. Be aware, if the menu says it is spicy, they mean it

It was quiet when I went in. A lot going on, bit only like 4 customers. I had to stop someone to take my order, but once I got my food it was great. Wings were bomb and the taco were yummy in my tummy too. I went to park road location, because the one closer to my house still hadn't opened. I was eager to try the wings. Hopefully this new location has good customer service. Love the wings.

my first time visiting was at the Woodlawn location, which I enjoyed. I ordered the japchae. At this location I decided to try the japchae again and an order of boneless wings. When I think of boneless wings I assumed they would be chicken breast, some pieces were chicken breast and others appear to have been a thin piece of dark meat with mostly batter.

This location and the one on Park Rd. seem to share staff and management. They both offer fabulous $8.95 lunch specials. The boneless wings aren't nearly as good as the drums and wings. They're more breading than meat. We like spicy food, but Bonchon is even too hot for us, so we tend always get soy garlic and this time tried the sweet crunch as well (not bad). Besides the spicy chicken, the tteokbokki rice cake dish was on fire! Interestingly, the mozzarella they put on top helps to temper the heat on your tongue. (But only a little!)

I've had the fried chicken before, and really enjoyed it. Extra crispy with great flavor. Today I had the chicken fried rice and was disappointed. The rice was dry and had a slight burnt taste. I'll eat there again, but will stick to the fried stuff.

The chicken, French fries and onion rings are all frozen and just fried in house. They do not even add the sauce to the chicken. Onion rings are the chopped and formed type. They did not have a Frank's hot sauce or mustard. No booths. Napkins are the cheapest available and small...they do feature fried chicken as their reason to go there...need good and lots of napkins. Usually don't go to chain restaurant due to these issues. Service was very nice and knowledgeable. Lastly, the extra crispy batter is just that...crispy...also more of it to the portion than the chicken meat. Pulled it off and just ate the meat. One and done for us.

"It is against our policy to give extra sauce." - The Management Honestly, the wings were pretty good and crispy, and our server was friendly -- but the reason I'm leaving a one-star review is because of a ridiculous company policy. When my spicy wings arrived, they were a little light on sauce. I asked for extra sauce, and the waitress brought me a bottle of sriracha. "I don't want sriracha," I said. "I want more of the sauce that came on the wings." The waitress explained that I can't have any more of that sauce. Seriously. "It's a secret sauce," she explained. When I asked what that had to do with me not getting enough sauce on my wings, she took me back to the kitchen and asked a cook in front of me if I could have more sauce. "No," he said. "Company policy." When I offered to pay, he rudely ignored me and walked away from the window. The waitress rolled her eyes and apologized to me. She obviously thought it was a stupid policy herself, but she said there was nothing she could do about it. By that time, my wings were cold; but I didn't bother complaining, because I figured it was company policy to not reheat them either.
