Good selection of beers and burgers. This restaurant is very well decorated and clean. Plenty of seating and family friendly. The noise level is moderate. I highly recommend the napalm burger if you like hot stuff!

Very good food and service. I ordered pickle fries as an appetizer and if you like fried pickles then you need these in your life. The gunner was my burger of choice with sweet potatoe fries. They were both cooked perfectly with the right amount of seasoning. I'll be back soon and I do recommend it. Forgot to take pics....was hangry

I love this place. You want a burger? Go to Beer Army. Best selection of burgers and they are absolutely delicious. The fries are some of my absolute most favorite in town. I also recommend the jalapeno poppers if you get the chance. They are so good, albeit a little different than what you are probably used to. Instead of being fried, the jalapenos are grilled and filled. They have a slice of bacon wrapped around to keep it together but the bacon is delicious on its own. Also, if you drink a beer every day for a month there, apparently at one point in time you would get your name on the wall. Don't know if that is still going on. But yeah, it's a really nice place. You can tell a lot of care went into it.

Wife and I just realized this is the second time we’ve walked out of this restaurant in the last 2 years due to their inability to seat anyone. Not busy at all. Consistently horrible service year over year. If they manage to sit you expect long long wait times. Burgers overpriced and quality has declined over the years. Will never try again.

All ways has some Amazing Beer's to try and the food is the very creative. Always looking forward to there special's. Last night had Duck bacon and Duck egg on a bisket. I could of had 3 of them. LOL my every day favorite is Irish natchos's. I love there house brew of a Stout. Can deffantly tast the coffee and a hint of chocolate to me. Yum

Always delicious. Two comments. Be great if buns were buttered and grilled or at least warmed. Buns are literally cool to touch which is strange. After ordering, there is always unusually long wait, even when not busy. Still a favorite and one of best burgers I've had. I always get the Gunner with fries.

My mom and sister were visiting from Chicago and wanted some burgers. My sister got The Recruit, my mom got the melt and I got the Philly cheese steak. Everything came out awesome, onion rings were tasty. The sweet potato French fries had a yummy dipping sauce. Our waitress Hailey(or Haley?) was very polite and got everything we asked for. The G. I. Joe (sans BBQ sauce) was perfectly cooked well-done, exactly as ordered, paired with fried onion rings that weren't greasy. The "Fire in the Hole" is also a clean Irish Stout that I would easily order again.

Candied bacon was amazing. The burgers were less than stellar but not horrible. I ordered med rare, got med. Got my friends order wrong, but the wings were awesome as were the sweet potato fries and tots. Decor was interesting. Not bad overall.

Great food and great atmosphere. I always get friendly service here from the staff. The only spot that can be improved is the sides. This place is a burger and fries place and they don't have healthier sides like grilled asparagus or even zucchini planks. If you want beyond tasty burgers and a good cold brew to go with then this place is for you.

Food was good but on the night we were there the service was seriously lacking. We waited a long time for a table and when one was available, they mentioned all the items that were unavailable, including most of the foods the children would eat. Had they said what was missing, we wouldn't have waited. We have returned since and enjoyed a lovely meal with just adults.

You should have no problems having a good experience at this burger joint. One negative comment for the owner: get the nametag lighting area on a dimmer. It was so very bright that my wife and I squinted at each other the entire time, and the staff could not figure out how to fix it. Overall, this is a burger joint that is worthy of five stars in this area, so eat at this place!

I went in alone looking for a quick bite to eat and I got exactly that. The service was fast and friendly, my burger was made exactly how I asked it to be and in a timely manner, and the house beer I had was wonderful. I absolutely plan on coming back next time I visit NC!

Looks like a cool place. My wife and I planned to visit for lunch, adult beverages and some football watching. When we arrived there were plenty of empty tables, maybe only at 30% capacity around noon on a Saturday. We were told it would be a 10-15 minute wait because “there were too many menus open”. I’ve never heard of that issue before, but we asked if we could just sit at one of the many open tables. That would not be allowed because that waitress was just seated last so we were required to be seated upstairs. There are no TVs upstairs so that wouldn’t work with our planned football watching. The host insisted this was policy when we questioned both of these oddities and lack of flexibility. We went to Black Beards where they welcomed us with open arms.

Dont let the name fool you, this is a burger joint and a great one at that. I'm sure some people may go in just for the craft beer, but after smelling the delicious entrees going out to the tables you wont be able to resist. As for the beer itself, amazing selection and delicious variety. One of the best places to eat in New Bern.

Love this place! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because we drove the 45 minutes there specifically for the alligator bites (which are delicious!) only to be told they were out. Great atmosphere and good food though.

Great service and atmosphere here. Beer selection is always rotating so there is always something new to try, including local and house-brewed beer. I love the option to sub chicken or a black bean burger for the beef patty as I don’t eat beef. Overall a great place to have lunch or dinner!

We had a very enjoyable lunch today, I had hot dogs and my wife had fish and chips. We both enjoyed our meal. Our waiter was great and the entire staff were great as well. For a treat you have to try the candied bacon, it is delicious but it does have a bit of a kick. We can't wait till we can come back.

Wait 1.5 hours before being seated. Out of sliced tomatoes, pretzel bites, onion rings , gator bites, etc.. 30 min wait after order. Start 5:30 served 8:45 horrible experience. This was an event beyond bad. Total incompetence. Sorry.

We came here on a Saturday night. We expected a wait so we put in our names and looked around. Pop atmosphere. The challenge coins and hanging dog tags are pretty neat. We had a drink at the bar. The bar tender was polite. We noticed the table right by the stairway was open and had menus. I made a comment to my friends in reference to the open table. I was sort of curious if it was out table but we never got a text so I assumed it was not. That table sat that way for 10 minutes. We then got a text about our table being ready and it was the one we had observed to be open for an extended period. The food was okay. Nothing to write home about. I’m not sure what was going on with the candied bacon. It was delivered to the table after the other app we ordered (fried pickles) and it was cold. Maybe it’s supposed to be but it was sort of strange. I ordered a burger and it didn’t overly impress me. I’d try this place again though. Maybe for 30 says so I could get a plaque on the wall. I wish I could give this place 3.5 stars.

VERY good food and service. I got the Beer army melt and it was amazing, TWO patties on Texas toast smothered in cheese, bacon and sauteed onions. We also tried the candied bacon and jalapeno appetizers, delish! And the beer was great to!

The burgers here are great! They have unique burgers that are all tasty and good combinations. We also got the Pretzel Bites which were good but not the best I've had. They have 4 of their own beers but I got a sour that is from a local brewery which was very tasty! I got a growler filled which was a lot more expensive than I expected but overall it was a good meal!

Came to New Bern just for lunch here. Great in the past. Got our drinks and orders in quick but then sat for the next 50 minutes as almost every table that was around us got their food. Several burgers came out that were ordered almost 20 minutes after us. After that we won’t be making the trip for this place again. We left and got a “sorry hope your day gets better”.

Beer Army Burger Co was fantastic! We came from out of town. The establishment was clean, and waiter was as friendly as he was prompt. As a veteran, I enjoyed the decor including the wall of challenge coins, various flags, and memorialized dog tags neatly decorating the ceiling. The food was delightful. We ordered gator, pickle fries, fried pretzels and candied bacon (shut the front door!) for appetizers. All were demolished. Then came the burgers... I had the Reveille, which was perfect for a missed breakfast meets lunch. Others had equally scrumptious looking burgers, and all were devoured by the time lunch was over. I definitely recommend for tasty food and a great atmosphere!

It wasn't horrible but I don't get the hype about the burgers here. They're mediocre at best. We decided to give this place another try since it's been a couple years since our first experience was subpar from the service and food, but I was once again reminded why I'll grab a burger at a few other joints around town. Burger was way over cooked from what was ordered and really lacks any kind of flavor honestly. The beer must be amazing here cause I don't get the hype about the burgers.

The service is really going down hill and has been that way for a while. I thought it would be temporary as with any business but the last few trips have been terrible. Rude slow servers. The food has remained pretty good though. I think I will take a break from going there at all if ever again. There are plenty of great restaurants downtown with good service

The food was delicious! This military themed restaurant has a unique atmosphere that every active duty/veteran/military enthusiast will dig! I'm active duty, today was my first time there and I felt as if I had known this place for years. Apart from that I highly recommend the medium raw reveille burger with beer battered fries and a pint of beer and you'll be golden. The price is right and even if you're not big into the military culture you should check it out- I guarantee that you'll love it ;)

One of the best days I’ve had in a long time. It was one of my first in New Bern and I grabbed a Pepsi from the corner and walked down to Beer Army for a burger. It was sincerely one of the greatest burgers I have ever had. The fries tasted fresh, the atmosphere was perfect and the staff most welcoming. Will be back again and again.

I usually do not give bad reviews, but this was an exceptional case. First off, 3 chicken strips for 10 bucks..c'mon!!. They forgot my fries.. Did not bring my wife's drink. Forgot it!.I ordered a side salad asked that they just do that in place of fries. Then charged me 1.50 up charge..geeez. The one saving Grace is the beer taps are good

Maybe we were not lucky on the day we visited but the beer is the only good thing here. Sorry to say that, but even with a simple burger I got disgusted: my bf ordered medium cooked and I ordered medium well and my meet came completely burnt! Plus all the good beers were over... i don’t know, everything was a mess.
